Isn't it ironic... don't you think?

Kata orang... Akademi Fantasia takde kualiti! Kata orang.. (yang sama)... program lain lagik best! Kata orang... (banyak nya orang tak seberapa jumlahnya ni nak mengatakan walaupun nan ado!), Akademi Fantasia azab.

Well, for me, Akademi Fantasia is the show you love, or hate, love to hate or hate to love.

But the reality is, the show is number one! In terms of SMSes, and viewership. In terms of loyal viewership.. in terms of branding. Akademi Fantasia is a pop phenomenon... walaopon ada yang mencari rezeki kat negara kita tapi tak mampu pakai Bahasa Malaysia rasa meka lebih vast dan meletup.

Matilah aku mencarut.

Nih.. nak cakap sikit pasal One In Million. Lotih dok ada sorang dua lalat dan langau nak masuk sini promosi One In A Million cam ler best sangat. Ni blog Akademi Fantasia la dol. I don't do other shows yang AKU (since this is MY blog) tak berminat pun nak ikuti.

Is it better? Aku takkan komen panjang lebar. Selera memasing.

All I can say is, take out Nine - vocalist Coco yang da ada album dan experience, or Tomok yang sebelum akil baligh (merasalah statement pepandai jerk) da wat album, as well as Amylea, top three musim ketiga Akademi Fantasia - and what do you have left? Honestly.... aku rasa bebudak Akademi Fantasia skang pun lebih baik.

But again - that's just MY opinion.

Semalam, aku menghadiri show One In A Million bukan atas kerelaan yer.. tapi member ajak), and I laughed. Sebab the best performer easily was.. Amylea!

Hai... seazabnya Akademi Fantasia nak kena kutuk, tetap best performer undoubtedly, ahli keluarga Fantasia. Camna tuh. Walaupun judges tak anggap tuh terbaik dan tak bagik immunity (very original... to follow with quote from Wayne and Garth from Wayne's World... NOT!!!!) kat dia... aku bangga anak didik Fantasia gak yang berjaya narik minat orang. Korang layan video persembahan Amylea tengok sendiri. The rest were nowehere close to her at all.

Apa je la wok! - terikut lak perangai bebudak nih... aduh! Akademi Fantasia is still number one, and offers the opportunity pada mereka yang need a break in this business. Bukan stakat nak naikkan rating nan ado. I'm just stating the obvious...

Ok ler... for the fans of the best reality show in Malaysia.. layan Diari EXT ek and get your dose of Akademi Fantasia for the day. Jangan lupa update later pas konsert malam ni, and jangan lupa AFUNDI!

Oh happy day...

So the day started pretty eary for me today, right. Unusual tapi nak wat camna. Hari nih memang plan banyak benda nak buat lasting into the night, so kena la up and about awal.
Masa left Klang tuh, bersemangat la. Sebab I would have to put a few things together today in preparation for some projects I have coming up.

Tengah pikiran melayang tuh, tetiba nampak lak aksi circus tengah jalan. Or is it more like mesin penyapu jalan?



Erm, I don't know how I'm supposed to react seeing this, but one thing I can say for sure is that it hardly inspires me to vote. Tolong la... I think dalam beriya nak kempen nih, this particular supporter may have just broken quite a few traffic laws. Mana la datuk datuk kuda belang time nih nak saman... ish ish ish.

Was on the way to Suria FM nak jenguk kawan-kawan when Juan called. Met up Julia there and had lunch. Ada la benda nak borak - dan carut.

Abih jer, sent Julia home before we made our way ke Palace Of The Golden Horses tuk PC Secretaries Week Mawi dan Mila yang bertema Go Green With Mawi. Cam slogan kempen mengundi jerk.... matilah aku (gelak sendiri nih kalao ada yang tak paham tuh sorry la)

Gila ko kata tak...matilah aku kang kena carut pasnih. Ampun Farihad... ampun Shazryn!!! Korang nih... jangan carut tau... kang aku hantar Dee marah korang baru tau.



Matilah aku... anyways sempat borak ngan dak botak. Yerlah. Maklumlah dia kan jet setting kuar skang. Da la baru balik dari UK - ke Manchester, London and Oxford. Rehat beberapa hari sini and on Thursday da nak fly ke LA pulak da.

So catch up borak ler sikit. Erm... ada la discuss business sikit. Apa dia... erm... tunggu la ek. Apa salahnya kalao ada joint venture project kang.

Borak punya borak, tengok jam da lewat petang da. So aku ngan Juan pun rush ke Pavilion for next meeting lak. Lepak La Bodega nak jumpa someone from erm... adalah nak discuss something. Jangan tatau - Juan pun tukau keja nih. Ada la career movement. Stakat dot com nan ado tuh perlu ke kan... merasalah!

But glad for him - and this opportunity is good plus - we have a few projects lined up da so that should take up a lot of time da. Tengah lepak bertiga tuh ada familiar face walk past.



It was LJ (matilah adik adik membayangkan LJ yang lalu - this joke intended bagik meka yang paham jerk). Yeap Linda was on the way nak ke gym. Gigih nih walaupon katanya kaki sakit.

Nak tetap mantain body slim tummy trim gituh la. Some people just take the joy out of life for me - heh... takpe takpe.. aku nih sebelah Linda nih rasa cam Bluehyppo kena sabar je la.

You go work out Linda, I'll stick to my Marlboros and Coke diet Dari Pavilion, rush across the road. Ada dinner Malam Gala Karyawan lak. Patutnya start 7.30pm. Tapi waktu Malaysia paham paham jer la. Lagipon kami borak sampai tak sedar da kol 9pm!

But the funny part was - masa sampai Ritz Carlton - rupanya dinner baru nak served. Aiyo! Lucky we didn't parking sini awal awal. Nyesal hidup.

We arrived same time ngan Rizal and joined at the lifts by Sean Ghazi, so we were in good company.

Actually - the whole night was good company all the way. Met up with old friend Reymee and chatted business (abih tuh - da nak ada syarikat sendiri kena networking tuk projek)... then also had a fun chat ngan Hannah Tan (she cute lah) Gosip ngan Safri and layan ngumpat ngan everyone else.

Dalam ramai ramai tuh - sakat kak Ogy - PENGKRITIK TETAP KONSERT AKADEMI FANTASIA (matilah aku!), caught up with Zahid, my bro, and borak ngan many others. Dah tak cam keja lak kengkawan semua ada. Ni some pics I took.

Hah... tapi korang nak gosip tak? Gosip jer... kalao korang layan Melodi (one of the only TV3 programs yang watchable - tuh pun kalao ko tune out Wahid yang pukey tuh), of course korang kenal Michelle kan? Ala... nickname bebudak gosip jahat ngumpat panggil ialah Michelle Karat.
Now I love Michelle cause she's sweet - yerlah... keja nampak je ganas. Nama pun keja ma... kena all out. Tapi anyway - mana abang Nas rambut ketak ketak?

Hah.. perkenalkan. Nih sidekick baru dia yang tengah biasakan dirinya sebagai broadcast journalist baru tuk Melodi iaitu Azmi. Familiar?

Ala...korang selak entry lama lama aku sikit. Mesti recognise dia. Dia dulu PR syarikat rakaman. So apa gosip nya?

Erm... mungkin ke kita tatap wajah pasangan pengacara baru Melodi? Oops.. gila ko... matilah Fara Fauzana mai carik aku cekik speku lebih.

Gimme gimme more... gimme more...

Okay so this is going to be another long entry, in part thanks to the banyak gambar aku amik masa sanding Leya and Ashraf earlier tonight.

Memang besh event tuh. Tapi apapon, let me start dari mula, and backtrack since my last posting was done at their house. Memang it was the most multicultural wedding aku penah hadiri.

Mana taknya... sebab bonda Leya, Nani, Lesya and Yana, kak Fatimah Abu Bakar is half Chinese, meka also pay respects to their mother's side of the family in typical traditional Chinese style!

Kalau ikut gaya kaum Cina, cara untuk hormat orang tua masa kahwin, is when you bring your husband home to the family house, you must present him to your parents and grandparents, and then keseluruhan keluarga to ask for their approval untuk dia diterima dalam keluarga.
Memang macam wedding kaum keluarga aku yang penah aku saksikan.

The reason for this, is especially to pay respect to kak Fati's mom, nenda Leya and sisters, who is pure Chinese. Walaupun dia convert - ni soal kebudayaan, so it was touching to see they still observe simple things like respecting their elders in the traditional Chinese manner.

Iaitu dengan pasangan pengantin menghidang teh kepada kaum keluarga, bermula dari parents, then grandparents (either way pun boleh) followed by sedara mara. Yang lebih muda dan lum kahwin, the other way around... kena serve pasangan pengantin.

Yang pasangan pengantin hidang teh - akan memberikan angpow, dan yang menghidang pasangan akan menerima angp pow! Amik ko!

Dapat gak angpow walaopon raya Cina lom sampai kan!

I didn't take pics of the tea ceremony - except one sebab sibuk kaco kak Fati ngan aturcara - kerana ingat what my grandma and my aunties taught me about the ritual. But I'm going to start this posting ngan beberapa pics yang tak sempat aku upload semalam.

By the way, keluarga Ashraf pun dapat pengalaman pertama take part in the tea ceremony. How sweet...

On the way out - reminder of the happy event...

I was dead tired bila sampai rumah Bangsar way past 5pm. Ngantuk siot tak cukup tido tapi sebab tak berani tidur tak tak jaga jaga and miss my later private event - tahan jerlah. By the time event habis - pas 1am, aku balik terus KO. Gawd! This is like the first Saturday in months aku tidur this early.

Next day bangun awal - ada event Marsha FC punya bowling. Ramai team amik bahagian siot! Lebih 40 siot! Aku kena gi sebab main mewakili team Bloggers. My team mates? Abang Bad, Diddy and klon Juan Danza (ampun makcik!) yang kena ganti the original yang tido mati tak sedau walaopon aku call beribu lemon kali!

Ni some pics aku amik kat sana. Before I forget...tahniah pada semua pemenang and all the sporting fan clubs - and also to the organisers yang sudi jemput aku. Besh besh besh.. me likey! Ramai hadir - sekali ada Shawal, Amylea, Heliza... not sure if anyone else from the camp was there sebab riuh rendah!

Walaupon ni event FC dia, Marsha sibuk abih. The other piccies of Team Blogger (we weren't the best - but we also weren't the worst, ok!)

It was massive fun! But also tiring. Tapi sebab nak keep awake lak tuk acara sanding Leya and Ashraf malam ni, again tried to keep awake.

So jalan-jalan shopping dulu. Merasalah bonus lum masuk nak shopping. For my friends yang sama minat magic - I got myself the Fireball!!! Woohoo!! Sapa nak tengok aku throw out balls of fire! Aku dah leh da skang. Entah kenapa aku naik gila tetiba spur of the moment punya purchase.

Dari Berjaya Times Square - gi lawat kawan kat Cheras dulu (rindu ko Zai akhirnya dapat jumpa), before gerak ke Legend Hotel.

I'll let the pictures tell you about the simple, tapi romantic sanding event ok. The reception start ngan pasangan mempelai masuk dengan iringan lagu Glenn Medeiros, Nothing's Gonna Change My Love. Then doa, and dinner. Followed by speeches from the three sisters in Nani, Lesya and Yana. Touching gila their short, simple speech sampai ngundang airmata - especially dari orang nih.

There were also video messages on screen dari rakan rakan artis wishing the pasangan well - including Datin Seri or Datuk (depending which title ko nak pakai) Siti Nurhaliza.

The whole thing was over in two hours. I like! Short and simple - tak meleret, tak overdose nak grand sampai bagik orang fed up. Made everyone apppreciate the special occasion so much more.

Arghhhh!!! Nak tidur. Got back past 4am after supper and drink with Vern and Rudy at Concorde Hotel punya Melting Pot (which doesn't have a f***ing workable wifi service for use.
