Wiwi ♥ Kikin

So today was the day of the big announcement!

Finally so many things put to rest. Lega hati. Tatau camna nak pegang rahsia da sebab banyak yang dengar tu, sebenarnya tau lama da. Matilah insider news katanya.

Sampai je Palace of the Golden Horses, si Mawi lom sampai. So lepak, and jumpa kengkawan, camwhoring and so on just to pass time. After buat dosa ngumpat dan kongsi gosip, went out for a smoke kat reception area.

Botak sampai shortly. He looks happy alright. So memang today is his moment. Sempat cakap ngan dia jap je before he was whisked to the waiting room tuk get ready for the big announcement.

And then it came. Am happy for Mawi, honestly. Setuju ke tidak pilihan dia, tidak ada sesiapa yang berhak bersuara. Ramai tanya what I think since I know him personally.

My answer is - the boy deserves someone who he believes is the right one, and kalau Ekin pilihan hati dia, doakan sajalah yang terbaik. Bukan kita daam keadaan dia kan? So mintak je la yang elok.

Mawi, aku kenal hang dari Konsert Prelude. Banyak aku borak ngan ko dari dulu. Sampai penah nasihat, gaduh (takde la teruk.. manja manja je) and so on. You celebrated my birthday, siap penah belikan present tuk aku bila gi Australia. Heh... dalam popular ko pun, botak... sempat lepak kita nak berendam swimming pool tengah malam kat Mauritius beramai ramai kan.

Despite ko superstar camna pon, aku bangga ko masih mampu bukak telinga ko, dan hati ko pada nasihat aku. Yerla... ko kan raja SMS (dan kini bakal raja sehari) For me however, you will always be Asmawi.

Aku rasa ko satu satunya artis yang bawah tekanan camna pon, you are more real than a lot of the hypocrites out there yang plastik depan orang and cover memacam.
Keep being yourself, and I am more proud to say of you have been a friend.

Walaupun magic aku masih lebih hebat dari ko. Matilah aku...

So now you are going to end your bujang days, aku mintak la yang elok, and hope you made the right choice, and wish you all the best in everything.

Everyone's entitled to be happy. You too... so the whole media circus aside, aku sokong ko botak and I hope ko akan bertahan bersama sehingga ke akhir hayat!

Anyway, just in case korang tatau, here are some facts about the announcements siang tadi,

♥ Pasangan Wiwi dan Kikin (matilah aku kan panggil Wiwi dan Kikin) akan bernikah di salah sebuah masjid di Johor Bahru pada 20 Disember dengan persandingan pihak perempuan di Stadium Tertutup Johor Bahru pada sebelah malamnya dengan berkonsepkan moden kontemporari.

♥Majlis resepsi pihak lelaki pula akan diadakan pada 28 Disember di Dewan Felda Taib Andak, Kulai dengan tema Jawa.

♥ Dijangkakan kira-kira 15,000 tetamu termasuk para peminatnya akan hadir memeriahkan majlis itu memandangkan lokasi yang dipilih itu sesuai untuk kehadiran jumlah tetamu yang besar.

♥ Sehari sebelum resepsi itu, Mawi juga bakal mengadakan konsert istimewa bersama rakan-rakan Akademi Fantasia (dipercayai lebih kepada mereka yang dari musim ketiga, satu 'generasi' dari Mawi, secara percuma untuk peminatnya pada 27 Disember di Padang Felda Taib Andak, Kulai sebagai 'hadiah' untuk peminat-peminatnya yang banyak memberi sokongan terhadap karier seninya itu.

♥ Resepsi istimewa bercirikan ala-Arab di Palace of The Golden Horses juga bakal diadakan pada 11 Januari depan yang bakal dihadiri oleh tetamu-tetamu jemputan khas termasuklah rakan-rakan artis.

♥Mawi dan Ekin akan turut menghadiri kursus kahwin pada 4 November ini di Masjid Putrajaya yang mana kursus khas yang disediakan oleh pihak Astro Oasis itu akan turut dirakam dan disiarkan di saluran tersebut di dalam tiga segmen bermula pada 17 hingga 19 Disember.

♥ Saluran itu akan turut menyiarkan secara langsung majlis akad nikah pada 20 Disember bermula jam 11 pagi manakala pada 28 Disember, Astro Prima pula akan bertindak selaku penyiar rasmi majlis resepsi Mawi pada jam tujuh malam.

♥ Astro Ria pula akan menyiarkan resepsi istimewa di Palace of the Golden Horses pada pukul 7.30 malam.

Pas abih the press conference, me moved to Polo Lounge with Sarimah (ye, kak Mah Gali uols), Amir and Juan tuk discussion pasal work related stuff. Takleh cita apa apa dulu.

Oh by the way, lupa nak cita. Aku nya projek TV mengalami kelewatan sikit tapi syukur sebab aku dapat postive feedback that it's definitely, confirmed on. Cuma glitch sana sikit. Things are working out. But before that, aku dapat an offer yang buat aku tersenyum. Heh.. looks like me going to work with me passion soon. Nantikan pengumuman. Coming VERY soon.

Anyway pas babai pada Mawi and all, and hit the Polo Lounge for the meeting, it was time to perah the creative juices. Ado...

Amik ko! Vaseline!!! Yes, people. According to Sarimah, she keeps the lubricant handy because she likes to keep her lips moist! Eeew!!! Get your mind out of the gutter ok!

Kira lip balm la. Ada yang berangan kan pakai memacam brand. Kak Mah pakai yang simple jerk.

Besides tak mampu aku nak carut dia cause she had to put up with all of us smoking away like chimneys!

Yang pentingnya, siap kena distracted lagik. Can you all spot what the alien item in the ash tray is? No, it's not the watermelon piece from Amir's juice. Look closer.



Amik ko! Bulu mata pelesu katanya! Kak Mah cabut sebelah main buang je. Ceh! Tak sanitary langsung! Kang terbakar harus la bau gam bulu mata lak kang.

Once we were done with the meeting, sent Amir back for him to get on with his extremely busy life (corporate sell-out!!! matilah aku!!!) we headed to Fizi's house sebab dia wat rumah terbuka. Ala... sapa yang ikut review konsert Akademi Fantasia musim lepas mesti ingat Fizi yang penah jadi model tuk rating dan ulasan konsert kan. Forgot how he looks? Cak!!!



Amik ko pose maut! Fizi ni sebenarnya manager Khai dan Rosma. Dan open house kat rumah dia ni merangkap open house pasangan Sehati Berdansa ni gak.

Sampai umah Fizi kul 7 tepat as invited. Matilah dah la gi in the pouring rain. Sampai lom siap pon kelam kabut dia exclaiming here and there kata kami awal lak. Keji! Dok sejam tunggu ler. Dalam the next five hours lepak ramai ramai yang sampai in the heavy rain, sempat ler layan channel baru kat Astro yang Variasi tu, yang tayangkan ulangan Konsert Akademi Fantasia musim keenam. Merasalah Yana dan Ika yang terkeluar first and second week jadik mangsa carutan kami. Ampun ladies. For fun jerk!

Once we were done, headed to Pelita sebab dapat call dari geng KEPITA (matilah KEPITA atau lebih dikenali Kelab Pelita). Bebudak 6ixth Sense semua ada. Antara yang lain si Ayien join, skali si Misty dan kawan dia, as well as Alif and Ika and friends. Motif snappy berdua si Adi dan Ika ni? Biasalah.. cinta nak berputik kan (lari sebatu nak elak dituduh mulakan spekulasi meka bercinta.. oops!)


All in all, walaupon letih banget, had fun and time just flew by today. Tomorrow nak rejuvenate balik. In other words... sleep!

Oh happy day...

So the day started pretty eary for me today, right. Unusual tapi nak wat camna. Hari nih memang plan banyak benda nak buat lasting into the night, so kena la up and about awal.
Masa left Klang tuh, bersemangat la. Sebab I would have to put a few things together today in preparation for some projects I have coming up.

Tengah pikiran melayang tuh, tetiba nampak lak aksi circus tengah jalan. Or is it more like mesin penyapu jalan?



Erm, I don't know how I'm supposed to react seeing this, but one thing I can say for sure is that it hardly inspires me to vote. Tolong la... I think dalam beriya nak kempen nih, this particular supporter may have just broken quite a few traffic laws. Mana la datuk datuk kuda belang time nih nak saman... ish ish ish.

Was on the way to Suria FM nak jenguk kawan-kawan when Juan called. Met up Julia there and had lunch. Ada la benda nak borak - dan carut.

Abih jer, sent Julia home before we made our way ke Palace Of The Golden Horses tuk PC Secretaries Week Mawi dan Mila yang bertema Go Green With Mawi. Cam slogan kempen mengundi jerk.... matilah aku (gelak sendiri nih kalao ada yang tak paham tuh sorry la)

Gila ko kata tak...matilah aku kang kena carut pasnih. Ampun Farihad... ampun Shazryn!!! Korang nih... jangan carut tau... kang aku hantar Dee marah korang baru tau.



Matilah aku... anyways sempat borak ngan dak botak. Yerlah. Maklumlah dia kan jet setting kuar skang. Da la baru balik dari UK - ke Manchester, London and Oxford. Rehat beberapa hari sini and on Thursday da nak fly ke LA pulak da.

So catch up borak ler sikit. Erm... ada la discuss business sikit. Apa dia... erm... tunggu la ek. Apa salahnya kalao ada joint venture project kang.

Borak punya borak, tengok jam da lewat petang da. So aku ngan Juan pun rush ke Pavilion for next meeting lak. Lepak La Bodega nak jumpa someone from erm... adalah nak discuss something. Jangan tatau - Juan pun tukau keja nih. Ada la career movement. Stakat dot com nan ado tuh perlu ke kan... merasalah!

But glad for him - and this opportunity is good plus - we have a few projects lined up da so that should take up a lot of time da. Tengah lepak bertiga tuh ada familiar face walk past.



It was LJ (matilah adik adik membayangkan LJ yang lalu - this joke intended bagik meka yang paham jerk). Yeap Linda was on the way nak ke gym. Gigih nih walaupon katanya kaki sakit.

Nak tetap mantain body slim tummy trim gituh la. Some people just take the joy out of life for me - heh... takpe takpe.. aku nih sebelah Linda nih rasa cam Bluehyppo kena sabar je la.

You go work out Linda, I'll stick to my Marlboros and Coke diet Dari Pavilion, rush across the road. Ada dinner Malam Gala Karyawan lak. Patutnya start 7.30pm. Tapi waktu Malaysia paham paham jer la. Lagipon kami borak sampai tak sedar da kol 9pm!

But the funny part was - masa sampai Ritz Carlton - rupanya dinner baru nak served. Aiyo! Lucky we didn't parking sini awal awal. Nyesal hidup.

We arrived same time ngan Rizal and joined at the lifts by Sean Ghazi, so we were in good company.

Actually - the whole night was good company all the way. Met up with old friend Reymee and chatted business (abih tuh - da nak ada syarikat sendiri kena networking tuk projek)... then also had a fun chat ngan Hannah Tan (she cute lah) Gosip ngan Safri and layan ngumpat ngan everyone else.

Dalam ramai ramai tuh - sakat kak Ogy - PENGKRITIK TETAP KONSERT AKADEMI FANTASIA (matilah aku!), caught up with Zahid, my bro, and borak ngan many others. Dah tak cam keja lak kengkawan semua ada. Ni some pics I took.

Now I love Michelle cause she's sweet - yerlah... keja nampak je ganas. Nama pun keja ma... kena all out. Tapi anyway - mana abang Nas rambut ketak ketak?

Hah.. perkenalkan. Nih sidekick baru dia yang tengah biasakan dirinya sebagai broadcast journalist baru tuk Melodi iaitu Azmi. Familiar?

Ala...korang selak entry lama lama aku sikit. Mesti recognise dia. Dia dulu PR syarikat rakaman. So apa gosip nya?

Changes

For those who b***hed about my last entry, especially the handful of Hady Mirza so-called fans (though I don't think of them as that cause they give his fans a bad name), all I have to say is grow up.

Malas nak layan orang meroyan. I could go on and on like you, but I choose not to. Real fans who have contacted me, thank you for your views and I appreciate them. And I also appreciate that you accept MY views as mine without imposing your appreciation for him on me.

We all have different opinions, and being boorish, uncouth and as yesterday's influx of a handful of Singaporean IPs who came in with all sorts of slurs and profanities - is not about having one - but about trying to impose one on others for their right to an opinion.

Thank you to those who understand that simple premise. And to those who don't, tough.
Labelling me as anti-Singaporan simply because I don't think Hady is the greatest thing since the chewing gum ban, is shallow,nd a desperate attempt to slag me off. Thank you to those who hav noticed my support for the likes of Taufik Batisah, Ahli Fiqir and Imran Ajmain, the few Singaporean acts who I do feel are of substantial quality.

Again - that's my view.

Anyway, moving on (tak kuasa nak dwell on that) semalam sidang media tuk pengumuman berkaitan Anugerah Industri Muzik diadakan by the Recording Industri of Malaysia (RIM) dan Persatuan Akademi Industri Muzik Malaysia (PAIMM).
It wasn't to announce the details of the awards itself, atau pencalonan sebab judging pun belum lagi.

But it was quite important because changes were announced. Perubahan yang aku rasakan adalah sesuatu yang positif untuk industi muzik negara. Here are the changes (malas nak elaborate pepanjang) most of which will take effect from AIM 2008.

The eligibility criteria has been updated to include full albums and songs which have been released in digital formats over the Internet and mobile or cellular networks in addition to the previous physical formats of CDs and cassettes.

Two new categories will be introduced for Best Chinese Album and Best Indian Album to be awarded during the live telecast of the award shows. Both albums will be based on releases over the past two years.

Best Musical Arrangement category will be opened to two categories for Malay and non Malay categories.

Best Pop Rock Album and Best Hard Rock Album will be merged into a single category Best Rock Album.

Best New Local English Artiste category will be dropped and all new English acts will be eligible to compete in the main Best New Artiste category.

English acts will be eligible for all all technical categories as well as the Best Vocal Performance Category.

Best Indonesian Album will be changed into Best Malay Song Performed By A Foreign Artiste and the competition for that will be song based and not album based and will be open to any foreign artiste singing in the Malay language. This of course extends to all acts who are not considered Malaysian artistes, which by definition includes foreign artistes who are signed on to a local production outfit.

The award eligibility period meanwhile will also be changed to definition by calendar year. It will begin 1 Jan to 31 Dec to be fully reflective of the relevant year. During the transition from the previous eligibility period of 1 Dec to 30 Nov the award eligibility period for AIM 2008 will be 1 Dec 2006 to 31 Dec 2007.

Postal voting by members of PAIMM will be discontinued with effect from AIM 2008 due to poor response and initiatives will be made to move to online voting beginning AIM 2009.

A two tier judging system will be introduced. The first tier will be as the current system where it will now function as a pre-selection process for popular categories with more than 10 nominations to shortlist the top 10 using the existing judging system. The second tier for final selection of the award winner from a base of 30 expert and accredited judges who will be hand-picked. Each award category will have a head of panel and a chief judge will be appointed to oversee the entire judging process and answer questions at the post AIM press conference. That way, any queries on any doubts will be answered.

The treatment of awards categories with limited nominations also are more specific for a certain condition.
-Where less than five nominations are received, the jury will decide on whether the nominations are deserving of an award for that year. It is open to the jury to consider that none of the nominations are worhty of an AIM award and to decide not to give an award for a particular category.
-If only one nomination is received for a particular category. If it is deserving of an award, the nomination will receive a special jury awatd for deserving album or artiste where there are no other worthy nominations.
-If less than five nominations are received for a category and there are more than one worthy nomination, but not all the nominations are worthy only the worthy nominations will be announced at the awards show before the award winner is announced.

Apapon, having personally fought for many of these changes, I am excited at the application of these amendments to the upcoming AIM.

It's a positive step tuk martabat industri muzik negara kita, and I hope these changes will take on with more to come.

Was grinning ear to ear when they were announced.

Pas abih event kat Impiana tuh, ingat nak gerak. Masa tuh ngan Juan. Tapi sebab dia ada terserempak ngan Bob, e found out ada event Astro Oasis lak kat sana. Time was about past 5pm, and the other event was about 7pm, so kami lepak ler bilik si Bob which was a couple of steps away jer from the function rooms.

Memasing kuar laptop ler apa lagik. Sempat abihkan keja, sambil melayan kerenah memacam jenis spesis yang menyerang blog aku smalam.

Keadaan jadik smakin riuh rendah bila abang Salleh (tul ke - tak ingat sangat nama) dari kumpulan Brothers sampai, then Nabil dari Far East (ustaz comel nih) and diikuti bebudak Devotees. Juan tak rasa panas ke? Matilah aku kena carut pasnih.

It was fun walaupun kecoh sebab semua nak tumpang bersiap, a little crowded in the huge room but besh.

Then once prepared, smua gerak skali. Meriah gak event launching program Aidiladha dan jemputan umrah nih. Ramai gak perform skali. Zahid mai lambat sikit and ciao awal - tapi Heliza, Salima, Rizal, Afiq pun ada tuk memeriahkan majlis.

It was fun, tapi yang pentingnya dapat info terbaru mengenai persiapan AKademi Fantasia. Apa yang benar mengenai apa aku dengar dan apa yang tidak dan juga SATU KEJUTAN! Erm.. kejutan ke. Kira perubahan ler dari awal peringkat ujibakat.

Apa dia aku takleh bagitau, tunggu seminggu dua agik ek.

When the time is right. Letih when it was over and done with - but singgah jumpa Zai jap, and then adik aku call nak jumpa Rabu nih.

There goes my plan nak Christmas shopping.

Hectic!

Hectic is the only word yang leh describe ari ni. Aku rush nak prepare memacam yang patut disiapkan sebelom berlepas ke Jakarta.

Banyak sangat kerja, sampai kelam kabut. Pas abih keja lak, gegas ke kedai Dicky nak return some stuff rented. All that itself took me to almost midnight.

Masa rush sana sini tuh, lepak je rumah Dicky to unwind sebentar along with si Juan yang ikut sekali sebab nak jumpa adik dia pastu.

The thing I like most about being at Dicky's place, ialah kucing manja milik jiran dia. Sebab malas nak wat posting panjang panjang before the trip, ni antara yang paling malas I'll ever post.

Ni pics of Pee Pee (I think it's spelt Pipi) tapi whatever la... comel tak? Suka tengok dia tidur.

Buli camna pon dia tak amik pot...janji dia dapat nap.

Gerak ke Taman Greenwood pastuh to meet up with adik Juan and some friends, later joined by si Afi (nak aku link blog ko tak?).

Bagi sapa yang tatau, Afi ni jiran Shawal (alasan yang diberikan kalao ada yang tanya dia kenal ke tak Shawal - dan dia malas nak cita panjang sebab da beribu lemon kali da ditanya soaolan sama - kecian jadik adik Shawal kena tanya tuh je keja...heh!)

Lepak kat area Danau Kota makan... as you can see, banyak tol satay yang si Juan melantak.

Yeap... tu pic sebelah kanan tuh semua si Juan punya keja...

Erm....tapi dalam pic tuh takde lak tunjuk garpu 'ajaib'.

Yeap finally aku saja wat metal bending and kira it came off without any hitches. Terpegun Afi ek...amik ko kelas pree camnak nak bengkokkan sudu garpu dan bagi terpulas pelbagai bagi mamak rugi lagik barang barang dia kena kerjakan.

Heh...Juan pun cuba, tapi erm...pecah lobang la ko buat...jangan buat sampai latihan cukup, keji!

Wat malu aku jer kang...

So ordered drink after drink, dok rosakkan je berapa garpu kat kedai mamak tuh nak ajar skill... kalau makan area Uptown Danau Kota kat mamak, dan ko perasan sudu garpu ko bengkang bengkok... tu keja Afi dan Juan ok (aku maintain muka innocent jer).

Walked about Uptown Danau Kota for a while just to kill time.

Dalam kami pusing pusing, teti we spotted a familiar face... tapi siapa yer.

Dia pon jalan bersiar ngan dua orang kawan, so kami pun approach.

Sapa agik kalao bukan si Rizal (merasalah akibat terserempak satu malam ko kena dera pasa dot dot dot kan...)

So the entourage grew bigger as we traipsed about Uptown.
Bought myself one helluva funky lighter in a belt yang very the concealed. Erm... good for emergency situations, plus no one gets to steal my lighter, or me the opportunity to lose it as I always so, pastuh sibuk nak carik api kalau nak isap rokok.

RM50 for the unique piece...nice... simply round shiny buckle je, tapi quality...even the leather of the belt was quite good too.
Erm...ada gak worthy buy in places like this where useless trinkets dominate.

Pas memasing rasa kaki dah nak patah, baru decide nak gerak and had another round of supper in Bangsar sebelom head back nak packing.

Ala...packing ringan jer... sebab dok baru tiga hari... tapi biasa la...sebab ada event nak jaket (merasalah bak Ermenegildo Zegna aku) as well as kasut dua pasang nak pilih just in case tak puas ati.

Erm...it ended up not so light (my luggage) but whatever lah...

Oklah, gotta finish some stuff and then bugger off balik ke KL nak leave for the airport by 6 pagik.

Merasalah tak tidur....harus sampai je mata eyebags ala designer lagik. Mampos lah...camna nak jumpa dia camnih...hish...

Ok items all checked, everything packed...now nak tunggu masa lak kejap lagik nak gerak.

And yang petntingnya...ada 'dia' kat Jakarta, so Jakarta at least will be fun...if nothing else.
Yang penting confirm mampus nak belanja kat dua tempat nih. Gila lah pokai aku pasnih nak beli tuh beli nih...

Oh well... when it rains, it pours...so janji have fun jer lah kan....

I will be trying to update from there, but no promises ok guys cause it is quite a packed schedule there, so I will do my best jer lah.
