Slow it down

Feeling way better, but still bits of the flu left. Petang gi manjakan diri sebab teringin shrimps suddenly. Bubba Gump kat Curve la jawabnya.

Sungguh sempoi ok presentation. In fact Bubba Gumps reminds me of a roadside diner - tapi harga je hado cam roadside diner. Tapi sodap ok! Ni dia nya entah haper nama shrimp broth thingie. Broth dia leh celup makan ngan roti (yum!) and then lahap shrimps with rice. Ada coleslaw on the side. Refreshment was the strawberry speckled lemonade. Burp-a-licious!

Lepak tunggu gak kengkawan dari office. Gabey leaving, so the guys and gal decided to throw a farewell makan session.

Seronok gak layan meka kat Italiannies, sebab slalu kat opis je... dapat lepak together outside as well.

Here's part of The Malay Mail team.

Ni our fab graphic artists - Zuk dan Dayang.

Ni Anu dan Janice. Janice is just showing off her tatoo cause she got a big ass one completed and now dia da kalahkan aku punya. Matilah! Awas... tunggu aku nya next!

Amir goofing off in this pic. Bila penah waras ek Encik Amir.

Peace my foot, Gabs! All the best in your new place, but don't ever forget us ok. We'll miss you... now we're hoping for someone hot in your spot. Heh! Matilah aku! Just kidding babes. You know we do wish you all the best (but is there anyone hot coming in to replace her? - matilah!)

And this, people - is my cure for flu. Ok... so I've given up drinking. Tapi aku penah sekali kena cover assignment wine fest zaman mula-mula baru start keja.

Time tu aku selsema, so I was like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer bagai idong bengkak and I was just sniffling endlessly.

Then the organizer offered me like a glass of wine yang mahal nak mampos. Aku tak minum wine masa tu, tapi dia kata tengok je effectnya.

And true enough. After taking a swig, 15 minutes, and my nose cleared up. Not quite a mirale cure story, and certainly not halal for my Muslim friends, but still non-Muslim friends can try it as a cure (temporary) for the common cold.

Wanted to watch a movie, but nothing makes me wanna catch one. Early night...

More Gs

Whoever said retail therapy doesn't help - lied! Obviously either they don't want you in on the secret of the relief it provides... or they just never felt the joy of it.

Matilah... ari ni masih selsema berair mata dan hidung bagai. So immediately got the day started with picking up a laptop bag aku perasan da seminggu gituh. It's from the Spring Summer 2010 collection (sama kot ngan my wallet). I like it cause it's so simple.

Very subtle monogram with straps in olive and red webbing simple gila.

Cuma kawan-kawan kalao nak pegang AWAS ye sebab memang leather dia pig-skin lining. Matilah tak affect aku.

Yang penting - match at least two pair of my Guccis yang sedia ada dalam koleksi (satu lagik just plain black without signature webbing, dan satu agik brown monogram canvas and leather)

Work tetap walaopon tak sihat.... tapi yang bestnya keja cam tak keja, masa lewat petang nak gi ofis Siti Nurhaliza Productions for meeting tuk company sendiri, J Squared pas settle keja kat opis keja harian.

Walaopon sejam lebih sangkut sebab jam, ujan bagai, tapi finally sampai.

Meeting ngan 'Paul' dan kak Rozi. Nih dia.. si gadis manis ayu posing bagai kat pintu. Matilah... motif? Heh!

Saida pon ada skali. Lama tak jumpa. Motif posing gak? Amik ko!

Yang pentingnya... apakah ni?? Si Paul berlumuran apakah?

Mai rewind sikit. Rupanya... pas abih meeting kita, meka kejutkan Paul ngan cake. Birthday dia katanya. Hasil 'idea' Siti gak yang bakar mintak kenakan, kesian la si mangsa aka birthday boy kena ngan cake.

Hah! Ni bukti sapa yang lajus je bagi makan kek!

Rupanya si Rozi gak ek yang laju sepantas kilat!

Ni pic sebelom insiden dikenakan.

Anyway, it was a good meeting, and God willing, mana lah tahu kalao J Squared bekerjasama ngan SNP in the near future. Time will tell...

Pastu gegas ke Ampang lak. Another meeting. Serious bila business meeting camni semangat aku kembali. Aku dapat kreatif, keluarkan segala idea bagai, tak pikir badan secara fizikal lemah ke letih ke tak sihat.

Upbeat je.

The second meeting best gila sebab sambil layan match Paraguay dan Japan (boo Paraguay!... mencik!), a lot of ideas were thrown about, and syukur, rezeki akan datang lagik (terus merancang shopping Gucci agik ni).

Apapon sampai umah lambat sangat sebab ada insiden bodoh sikit. Heh.. malaih nak cita. Just buang masa, and stresskan (nothing serious pon). But thanks pada kengkawan yang there (you know who you are).

Walaopon amik obat, tapi rasa cam tak perlu. Amen for shopping therapy. Skang tunggu je payment dari client masuk ujung minggu ni, awal minggu depan.

Kena start keja keras balik nak kumpul duit agik.

Oh well.. bukan leh bawak mati pon kan? Yang penting, HALAL dan tak aibkan atau naya orang lain in the process. Ok ok.. melalut lak. Medication kicking in. Night all...

SHOUT!

Happy birthday, Ning!!!!

Semakin muda ko!

For those yang tatau, today Ning celebrate her 35th birthday. Akak aku tuh setahun (and three weeks) older than me.

Tadik wat surprise gituh tuk dia kat rehearsal musical Shout!

Ni je sempat aku snappy masa meka berlatih. Ni masa opening scene. Teringat lak pesen Hasnol dulu ngan baju ujan. Heh!

Matilah bukan je feeling kena Evian, ke or at room temperature ok! Kena Jean Paul Gaultier punya limited edition punya je ok! Matilah berangan.

Ok la... layan demam selsema sikit nih. Ni tak kritikal nya, so guess will be ok soon.

Until then... nak layan lagu-lagu retro from Shout! jap. Nak hapal balik. Heh.. aku minat Lulu.

Oh my... what else... Gucci!

I got my Gucci money clip wallet! Yeay!

Happy gila!

Tapi wat skang takkan pakai. Bukan per. Tapi soal wallet ni pantang larang ada gak.

I don't know if this is just Chinese superstition, or just something I was brought up with, tapi aku memang caya soal wallet ni takleh main tukar ganti camtuh je. Rezeki, gila!

Unless you been having a shitty period, then tukau ler. If not ko tunggu la koyak rabak sampai duit, IC bagai semua melayang kuar hasil perut wallet terburai - then baru ganti.

But wallet yang aku pakai skang kira lom kritikal (walaopon cam memerlukan operation da). Pakai pon wallet RM10 skang sebab masa tu memang wallet da kritikal sampai IC pon asik terkeluar, jalan-jalan bought the first plain black wallet I saw (tak suka yang ada pe pe tulisan ke haper).

So for now, the Gucci money clip wallet ni jadik hiasan. Standby katanya bila perlu kang. Heh. Happy day!

Spam can kill you!

Good God!

I hate spammers.

Baru deleted a whole bunch of Blackberry spam messages from orang yang feeling CNN nak war-warkan berita walaopon tidak mencari kesahihan berita tersebut.

Slalu camni. Dulu masa arwah Yasmin ICU, sama gak ada yang 'mematikan' awal-awal. Like what the fuck? Arwah Din Beramboi? Sama kes gak. And the countless people who have 'died' by spam?

Petang tadi was the same thing.

I got this message going around. Again.. and again... and again... and again... (the Energizer bunny pon nangis ok ow it goes on and on)

"Innalillahi wa innalillahi rodjiun, telah berpulang kepada tuhan yang mahakuasa, NAZRIEL IRHAM (ARIEL PETERPAN) yang menagalami overdosis zat psikotropika di dalam kamar tahanan pada jam 13:08 hari ini. marilah kita doakan agar arwahnya diterima di sisi tuhan yang maha kuasa. Amien."

This is of course bullshit.

Like the claims made by Ariel that it wasn't him in the video?

No comment. But please, people. I know you want to do your part and help spread the news - which is the beautiful thing about technology.

But don't abuse it. Before you resend something, check the validity of it. And I swear anyone who sends me a "if you break this chain you will die in three days" kind of message IMMEDIATELY gets deleted on my BBM, Twitter and so on.

Kimak tol. Takde keja lain kah?

Apart from that - have a good day.

PS - Thanks Adila for inviting gi tengok Kita semalam. Suka performance Adila and Hafiz who stood out. Apart from uncle yang mainkan watak bapak Cheong tuh - vocal meletop! Tapi yang pelik nya being a propaganda vehicle for the 1 Malaysia campaign - kenapa pementasan tak dimulakan dengan nyanyian Negaraku? Merasalah!

One year on...

It's amazing how quickly a year passes. We lost the King of Pop exactly a year ago today.

Don't want to blog much today, listening to a marathon of MJ's musical legacy that he left behind.

Anyway, saja nak kongsi some pics from Grazia magazine with their MJ inspired styling. Ladies, pepandai la korang styling kan kalao minat MJ ek.

Inspiration and interpretation, not imitation. I love the styling. WAY better than Agyness Deyn’s Harper's Bazaar tribute which came out the same time (CLICK HERE for pics - don't want to publish you as really fugly styling of overpriced shit)

Nothing much for today.... layan je la lagu Michael ni ek. I'll update again soon.

PS - Michael Jackson's This Is It is on tonight over Astro. It's a moving experience, so catch it if you claim to be a fan but didn't watch it when it was released (boo!)

Me will also be catching the World Cup match tonight to cheer on Brazil who will be playing Potty-girls tonight! Boo ya! Brazil, go into annihilate mode!

Ban the fucking vuvuzela!!!

Kalao korang layan World Cup (as unfortunately I have, sucked into it just to piss off people by supporting teams going against those they support), you MUST be annoyed by those damn, irritating, annoying, excruciatingly painful MOTHERFUCKINGLY (hado?) painful vuvuzelas going on for a full 90 minutes as well as before, in between and after the games.

The vuvuzelas are nothing but noisemakers that don't do anything for the game, but irritate the whole damn world tuning in and I have no idea why FIFA doesn't have the noodles to ban it already.

Sakit jiwa ok!

Especially when you're watching those 2.30am matches (Malaysian time) and you can't even hear the announcer because you have the volume turned down or you'll wake up the whole damn neighbourhood because those idiots at the stadium are too busy 'proclaiming South Africa's football identity' (by blowing on cheap ass plastic horns made in China?)

I personally think South African football fans are just announcing how sexually repressed they must be, to want to wrap their lips and do tongue acrobatics for 90 minutes and think people are amused.

Now to make things even more fucked up, we have Youtube, which a lot of us also rely on to catch up on all things, including the World Cup.

Now... some genuis at Youtube has decided to come up with a new function that accompanies all videos. See the button between the Settings and Pop Up button just below the video?

Click the top image to enlarge. It's the football icon which is new.

And that's what it looks like. The function? Click the football and ANY video you watch will be accompanied by the FUCKING irritating vuvuzela!!!! Are you bloody joking? This is like a torture device enabled!

Ban those fucking vuvuzelas so at least we can enjoy the second round of the World Cup in peace. Thank God some of the matches, singing has been more dominant. That's a REAL footie match for you....

Not some cheap, plastic blowjob!

Irritated gila babiks ngan vuvuzela nih. Hish!

Korang layan je la lagu anti vuvuzela nih. It's kind of irritating too actually... heh!

Gucci-fied

Arituh tak dapat iPad aku cause obviously US out of stock bagai. So pesanan tak sampai la. Tapi takpe... sementara tuh since da ada duit tak spend da... am getting a Gucci wallet this weekend.

Aku skodeng da. Member beli dari seberang laut. Over the sea katanya, lebih murah.

Tu gambar stok kat atas. Aku suka! Simple black, monogram yang tak obnoxious. Taking delivery of it by this weekend. Me likey! Brand new and still costs cheaper than in stores here, yang penting.

Tapi skang tension sikit sebab tunggu payment masuk dari client. Masuk je, ni la next acquisition aku plan. Aku da target lama, tapi akhirnya ada member leh dapatkan.

The perfect laptop bag - obviously... a Gucci.

Merasalah nak lengkap satu set. Yang penting, the wallet and the laptop bag nanti matching bagai with at least two of the four pairs of shoes I have.

Suka suka suka!!!

Sekian luahan retail therapy tuk hari ni. Heh!

Wreck in pieces Pt 2

Sambungan dari entry semalam...

Anyway, so after I was over at Pudu Jail in the evening, gegas gi layan bola (hebat ke Portugal belasah People's Republic of Korea 7-0 bila Ronaldo tetap hado - matilah emo!) before continuing on to Pudu to watch the sad demolition of another historic site.

Masa sampai tuh da beratus orang kumpul. I was there before 10pm, and already it was a packed crowd.

Everyone gathered all along the front wall and entrace. Lama-lama aku pun join orang ramai dok kat tengah jalan kat divider under the monorail tracks.

We waited and waited. Dengar kol 10 malam nak start demolishing. Tapi tak nampak pe pe pon. Ada antara orang ramai panjat access through the side tower of the entrance dan naik ke bahagian atas pintu gerbang. Wanted to pun, tapi the last thing I need is to be prosecuted for trespassing into private property (being old makes you less adventurous and more practical).

After over an hour, polis trafik mai saman orang yang dok park haphazardly along the road which was seriously jammed.

And then I got word from a friend. Rupanya they started demolising the back portion of the prison perimeter walls first. Ni some of the pics yang sempat aku amik.

It was a sad sight indeed. Yesterday night was sad. It went down as history - as the night history went down.

Ni gambar dari bahagian dalam along the perimeter walls. Masa ni orang luar dihalau cause they wanted to continue ngan usaha merobohkan.

Ni some other pics... I don't what else to say. The walls fell fast...

Not unlike the Berlin Wall (sounds dramatic when I say it), ramai took parts of the rubble, batu batu yang da pecah, as a reminder of the walls that once stood that house some of the biggest convicts in the country.

Aku pun amik dua ketul untuk simpan sebagai kenangan.

As of about midnight on, they had moved to the middle section of the prison. Aku dok tengok sedih je. Aduh...

In front, most people still didn't know what was going on. Aku balik je pastu... couldn't stand around to see the archway demolished.

By the way, ramai tanya ada tak benda mistik ke haper. Well sorry to disappoint you guys, but masa aku masuk - yes the place looked creepy. After all it is, or was, a prison.

Tapi there was nothing extremely freaky ke apa for real. Walaopon aku ni kan kuat noya tengok benda pelik.

Ko nak pelik... hah.. ni masa balik. Ni bukan kes orang kena langgar accident ye. Tapi ni la the 'development' that KL has.

Ok la... letih nak update pepanjang. Didn't get enough sleep last night pas balik lambat and was up early this morning.

Oh by the way - thanks to Pak Nil. Sapa yang dengar Era pagi tadik would have heard him call me to ask to share my experience about what happened at Pudu Jail.

Anyway, pagi tadi went for the media launch of the Rev Up Momentum! It was for the Power Over Cervical Cancer campaign.

Ladies, pada adik-adik pompuan ke kakak-kakak ke makcik-makcik diluar sana yang membaca, please take some time to go to that website. Educate yourself to protect yourself. In a country where sex is a taboo, anything related, including cervical cancer - is never discussed.

It's the second biggest killer among women, so again, guys kalao korang can tell the women in your lives, whether it's your mother, sister, girlfriend, wife, daughter.. read up on it and assess your risk here. It takes only a couple of minutes, but can save you.

One of the many ambassadors of POCC is Genevieve Sambi. She's a beauty queen, model - and cervical cancer survivor.

Here are some other ambassadors of POCC. Recognize them? That's Gen and Niki Cheong, Rina Omar, Sarimah Ibrahim and me, myself and I.

Thanks to POCC for the belief in all of us (I'm very proud to have been representing POCC). Also to the other partners, especially Reebok which I have to mention for the LOVELY outfit I was wearing (especially the Zig Tech shoes which just came to Malaysia siap lom launch lagik tapi aku da pakai).

Argh... I need rest now. Will blog more later.
