Secara jujur, aku nampak pentas cam serabut sikit, but I was told that this is a build up, so korang kalao rasa cam aku, kena sabar je la ek. We wait for the final result and see what it forms. Sebab kalao ikutkan cita aku dapat, bebenda kat pentas ni semua, cantum sana, cantum sini ada something special when you see the main set kat Konsert Akhir Akademi Fantasia nanti.
I noticed tetiba ada plasma screen dekat area judges, so memang betol la production belah Konsert kata tiap minggu akan ada penambahan slow slow. So my faith in them memang ada for a whoop ass set as we head to the final week.
Walaupon ada yang tak setuju ngan komen-komen bernas dari Adibah Noor, I kind of like how she noticed the more necessary details to be mentioned. And I hope they call her back as a critic sebab we need more critics who say things that matter.
Walaupon ada yang peminat panas dia sebut pasal bab Heliza sumbang, the point is, while Heliza was a guest performer, dia professional da, so there was no excuse to flub it up so badly.
The thing about duet week is that, bebudak kena all out pastikan meka tak diovershadow by their guests. At the same time, the guest vocalists had to make sure their performance was of an adequate standard... Heliza's was unfortunately sumbang gila. So kesian gak Qhaud. Dalam duet nih, kalao partner problem, ko pon kena tarik skali.
Tengok contoh Yazid. He managed to pull his song off better sebab he fed off the energy of Yazer yang memang rock abih. So lucky for Yazid there la.
Ok ok... sebelom merapu lebih panjang, on with the actual performances.

Overall the song was ok, but I don't know. The problem bila ramai-ramai camni, ada yang curi tulang. Dengar je time chorus. Berapa orang did ok, tapi ada yang berjaya bukan sahaja menyumbangkan suara tapi 'menyumbangkan' lagu.
Honestly ketika dalam Dewan, susah nak detect sebab you're caught up in the moment, tapi upon closer inspection gituh time dengar balik rakaman, aku dapat ada yang salah sana sini.
Still it was decent, though I have heard the kids deliver it better in practise. The ending was scary though. It was seriously so off that aku tatau sapa nak blame.
ISMA & Zul (2 By 2) -
Kau MawarkuRating : **1/2
Alahai romantiknyaaaa. Sampai aku tempek pics banyak sangat tak control katanya sebab suka tengok keromantikan meka nih ya amats. Merasalah perlu mop lantai pastu akibat rembesan melampau aksi husband and wife nih.
Honestly sebenarnya I hate this song. Heh... tapi malam tu aku tahan gak la.
It was nice to hear that Zul still can sing and he did a nice job to back up Isma.
Cuma honestly tuk aku, Isma ni memang kita semua da tau dia ada sora. Cuma aku pun kekadang rasa sora dia dibayanyi sora Datuk Siti Nurhaliza ngan lenggok dia bagai.
Hope she manages to show her own style soon enough, because overall I think she did quite ok, though not as good as last week for me where she managed to break from her stereotype pop Melayu ballad safe zone.
AKIM & Farah -
Jika Kau TiadaRating : **1/2
Ni serious satu agik lagu aku tak berkenan at all.
But overall, Akim impressed me and kept the song interesting to listen to.
Cuma kesian, sebab rupa dia jambu, ramai terus dismiss him. Tapi kan sebenarnya, kalao banding ngan stok bebudak pelajar laki yang rupa jambu ni dalam sejarah Akademi Fantasia - dia ni actually has talent and a voice which has progressed much in the recent weeks.
Takde la sumbang angsa bagai walaopon rupa jambu, so kira soal rupa tuh bukan handicap patutnya, tapi asset.
Minor problems ngan sora (glad sora dia da tak getar ngan tremolo overdose yang ada sejak dia wat lagu Anak Gembala), tapi memang physically he has the challenge to work on his body language, which makes him look like he's still uncomfortable on stage and also a little problem ngan feel sikit.
A serious contender due to consistency and fan following as well as commercial appeal.
QHAUD & Heliza -
Dibius CintaRating : *1/2
It was painful to watch, not because of salah Qhaud je. Betul cakap Adibah Noor.
Bila bab duet ni, kalao sorang problem, sorang agik mampu selamatkan kalao dia wat ok. Because if that doesn't happen, your partner gets dragged down as well.
So aku tatau nak komen camna. Nak salahkan Qhaud sepenuhnya, partner pon problem gak.
In fact, I am disappointed with Heliza because I know she's better than this.
Apapon, it appeared Qhaud betul-betul mencuba, but well... he didn't manage to bring the goods to the table.
One thing aku perasan at this point, sakit mata tengok step interection semua sama jerk lebih kurang. Repetitive. Tangan angkat... tangan angkat... cam Karam Singh Walia wat report berita lak.
HAFIZ & Mila -
Terlanjur CintaRating : ****
Now this is a performance. Memang dari soal consistency, Hafiz berjaya nak membuktikan dia mampu nak perform everytime, no matter what song he's given and in whatever situation.
The only surprise I had was that Mila tak sumbang cam biasa memandang berapa live show lately she's not been performing up to mark.
But both of them had a chemistry which I think minimised any mistakes on the part of both kids and the result was a wonderful, moving performance.
A little too overdramatic for me, but enough to send the message home that this was one of the highlights of the night. If someone had told them to pull back the dramatics sikit which was a little too distracting, this would have been my best performance of the night.
A beautiful song, one of my favourites for the past few months now, and a performance that justified the beauty of it.
CLAUDIA & Vince -
Kau Muzik Di HatikuRating : ****
I have to say. First of all, susah nak dibayangi the original singer in Jaclyn Victor. Secondly, to duet with bekas juara seperti Vince atau Mawi susah, sebab meka ni seasoned pros and can just overshadow you without even trying.
In Claudia's case, I was actually anticipating the worst, but she managed to hold on to her own and did better than I expected.
In fact, kalau for me lah, she deserved untuk dinobatkan pelajar cemerlang hasil usaha dia untuk Konsert ini for surpassing any expectations and for the dramatic improvement she's shown compared to her shaky performance last week.
Not perfect, but easily one of the best of the week. And definitely Claudia's best so far.
PS - Disregard komen Edrie Hashim yang Vince overshadowed her and that this is not her best week, and take into consideration Adibah's comment that Claudia has yet to unleash her real voice.
PPS - Terasa deja vu teringat time anak Mas di bawa ke pentas.
AISHAH & Aliff Aziz -
Dua Hati Menjadi SatuRating : ***
I think this performance was so cute. Aishah is just herself, but I think Aliff didn't bring anything to the performance at all. In fact I think Aliff's vocal was so below par in comparison to Aishah's that it was hardly funny.
This is one performance mana pelajar Akademi Fantasia lebih outstanding dari penyanyi luar yang dibawa menemani persembahan mereka.
But in the essence of the feel of the song, it was sweet.. so sweet I think I may have diabetes after watching that performance.
I kept in mind however Aliff did his best. Lagikpon kalao ikut lagu original pun, penyanyi asal Gita Gutawa dan Dafi, Dafi was more of a back-up vocal on the song... cam lagu Ella dan Shah tuh la.
So the spotlight was on Aishah more.
PS - Adengan suap bagik aku nostalgia time Zahid kena suap cekodok ngan Misha lak.
YAZID & Yazer -
Terharu Rating : **1/2
Last week Yazid improve abih. Memang 180 darjah punya turnaround. This week, aku risau sebenarnya because bila digandingkan ngan someone like Yazer, I expected him to be swallowed alive.
Strangely enough, I think Yazid thrived on the energy Yazer gave off which was show in his performance.
The end result? Two all out rockers onstage!
Menangis tengok meka guling bagai... but aku cakap serious, while I knew Yazid had it in him, I didn't know that he could have unleashed it at this point.
Not the best yet, but I think something's coming out of this one that might surprise a lot of people.
Look forward to his show next week. At this rate, Yazid has established himself as a threat to others for a spot in the finals.
PS - Takde lak deja vu bab ni sebab tak penah ada contestant punya dad kahwin time competition. Heh...
ARIL & Marsha -
Aku Dan Dirimu
Rating : ***1/2
Selain dari Hafiz dan Mila, Aril dan Marsha too worked as a strong duo.
Like Yazid and Yazer, Aril fed off Marsha's energy to come up with his own strong rendition of Aku Dan Dirimu.
The feel and drama of it was not so overdone. And the chemistry appeared real like there was some massive attraction there, and that they were not acting. So, good on that.
And sama cam lagu Andainya Aku Pergi Dulu, Aril was able to show off his vocals which are so often overlooked because of his larger than life personality.
Kalao Aril leh bertahan dari segi AFUNDI, another final potential nih.
SIDI & Zahid -
Cinta Yang SempurnaRating : *
Aduh! Merasalah sakit telinga.
Aku sebenarnya kesian kat Sidi, because this is definitely not an easy song to sing. Ko bagi la sapa pon lagu nih nak carry off, and you'll find out just how difficult it is.
And because tak kena ngan range dia, Zahid had to take much of the higher bits, which immediately opened up the floodgates for Sidi to be overshadowed.
Like I said earlier, it's not easy for anyone to duet with Vince and Zahid as they are so strong in so many ways that you just can't look good enough if you have any other issues to deal with. And it didn't help cause Zahid appeared to have his own issues too.
And bab Sidi nih, honestly I think he could have improved faster, tapi sebenarnya dia showed up short on AFUNDI simply because he had it worse with the song.
PS - Pecah perot aku Zahid wat aksi KLCC tuh. Matilahhhhhhhh pecah perot!!!! Arghh!!!
Semua Pelajar -
Menuju PuncakRating : ***1/2
Aku tanak komen soal vocal bab ni sebab yang lebih penting, choreography has improved tremedously from last week. And kudos to Cikgu Aris for that. I hope more will be done to add on to the dance routine so that proper homage can be paid pada lagu berhantu nih yang da tujuh tahun pun orang tak bosan layan.
Final pose tu yang aku pecah perot sebab mata aku ke Qhaud yang ala Superman.
Aiyo... merasalah!
But all in all, it summed up the overall feel of the fifth concert, which continued the momentum of Akademi Fantasia musim ni. I guess it wouldn't be too much to say that it's now gone into full throttle, and next week we'll see if the pace can be sustained.
So the competition is getting serious now. Kalau ikutkan kedudukan, cuma Qhaud je nampak the weak link. Which can change because he had the following earlier too. But from now, sapa-sapa yang terkeluar would be a shame, because the remainder is a consistent lot. This was the AFUNDI rankings bila tutup undian.

The pool of votes is getting bigger by the day and the percentage smakin besau, so kalao korang nak tunggu in the end tuh, there's too big of a gap to overcome.

How To Suck Up To Your Boss 101 - aku beli t-shirt ni sambil tergelak. I don't know what KM stands for, tapi leh double up as bodek Khairul Mizan, program manager tuk Astro Ria. Masaalahnya mulai minggu depan aku kena cari IR, JSR, SN and then final kang pakai ZA! Matilah aku!!! Perhal la muka aku ni keletihan bagai... tak sembuh-sembuh...
So was that a long enough entry for you guys? Tell me if you want more pics. Ni pun banyak da aku buang sebab risaukan korang nak loading tak sempat sebelom Konsert keenam lak.
Korang layan dulu. Aku tadik sesi besh ngan bebudak for my class. Hari ni focus pada how honesty works in perception. Matilah tak paham kan? Takpe... janji bebudak paham.
