Tadi gi layan Hantu Kak Limah Balik Rumah. Panjang gila dan ngarut title, kan?

Tapi sumpah, the sequel to Zombi Kampung Pisang is awesome. Kalau ko enjoy Zombi Kampung Pisang ko akan suka la ngan Hantu Kak Limah Balik Rumah. I absolutely love it - and I think it rocks socks, sebab dalam celah lawak cam gampang - ada gak messages inserted, so you can watch it in a popcorn manner, or you can just intellectualize it. Matilah katanya...

I don't want to give away anything about the film, but it's DEFINITELY worth a watch - especially tang hantu kopek muncul. I like! The first ten minutes semua da gelak guling gila babiks da - bukan menggigil cam tengok 2 Alam (bak kata dDR Rozmey lah...)

Aku impressed with how they did it - sebab aku masa gi shooting ada nampak potential in a lot of the scenes, tapi risau gak merapu gak kekadang.

Pas abih PC sempat kita semua lepak borak-borak. I love creative minds like Afdlin Shauki dan Mamat Khalid because sitting down and talking to them is simply inspiring.

Ok... sometimes like Afdlin they give me weird pictures to dok pelik korek hidung to post in my blog - but hey... ok pe.

Anyhoo, ni lak si kak Vee. Tambah cantik. Tapi tengok balik pic aku snappy ni cam Fauziah Latiff lak rupanya. Anyway next year da la nak ganti Maya Karin tuk Nona, ni lak dia bagitau pasal dia akan jadi antara pengacara Anugerah Skrin. Semakin meletup!

Ni some random snaps of Wanda dan Opie, member wartawan pala gila. Love preview belah malam ni sebab dapat rilek semua tak kejar masa sangat - unlike most previews yang wat pagi buta.

Sempat snappy Pekin yang ada small role too. Da potong rambut ni nampak cam Ijoy lak, laki kak Shirah.

Sebut soal rambut... korang leh teka tak sapa ni?

CAK! Tuh dia, rambut konsep Goldilocks bagai dari Awie. Ni ngan Fiza, wartawan tuk DIVA kat RTM. Anyway happy birthday Awie who turns (umur dirahsiakan gituh) at the stroke of midnight!

Going for long mamak session pas ni nak borak pasal banyak benda. Biasalah kalau semua dalam bisnes ni kumpul mesti ada tukar-tukar cita.

Since I've been updating so much about food, and some really yummy choices at that - malam tadi melantak banana leaf.

Sesuai dengan konsep pratonton filem Appalam! Sebenarnya singgah je, tak sempat tengok pon sebab kena gegas ke Muzik Muzik sepatuh akhir kedua. Saja drop by to give moral support katanya.

Antaranya pada tuan director, Aflin. Comei tak anak dia.

Also, was there to catch up jap ngan Jac. Suka la dia pakai saree. She looks good in anything, but I think pakaian tradisional orang kita the best, tak kira la bangsa apa pon.

Pastu, gegas ke Sri Pentas 2, Plaza Alam Sentral. Celah layan persembahan backstage, melepak ngan kengkawan yang membawa lagu-lagu yang tercalon. So what happens backstage?

Well... ada yang pose sakan tuk photos camnih...

...ada yang sibuk bersiap...

...ada kengkawan menggila main ngan props yang tertinggal belakang pentas...

...ada pas bersiap, sempat camwhore ngan kengkawan...

...ada yang mesej tunang... (pandai je aku speku)

Er... ok so now on to my comments. Nak cakap camna.

Tahniah la pada semua yang menang. Everyone, every film - semua orang work hard kan? SO takde isu 'aku menang, aku keja keras'. Takde gak isu dengki ke, haper ke... sebagai alasan bila orang kritik. So lame.

I mean, immediately aku dengar beberapa orang defensive mode sebut pasal 'ni lah orang Melayu nak dengki etc hasil keja orang sendiri' or 'we worked hard for this' or 'suka tau ada bangsa sampahkan hasil keja orang lain' etc.

Excuse me? Masuk industri di mana hasil keja ko akan dinilai - pe halnya nak camtuh? Stupid, moronic mentality tol bila camtu. Nama nak iktiraf yang TERBAIK?

Kalao da ada yang BUKAN yang terbaik perlu ke.

I have been dissatisfied with nominations dari start. Muallaf, Ice Kacang Puppy Love dapat consolation prize la kiranya ngan Anugerah Khas Juri. Merasalah la kan... tak layak bertanding kononnya sebab not enough content dalam bahasa kebangsaan. Nama FESTIVAL FILEM MALAYSIA. Siapa yang wat filem-filem tuh? Orang asing ke? Does it make those two films any less Malaysian - sedangkan filem-filem tu gak angkat nama Malaysia at an international level?

I think Shamsul and Lisa are very talented, but I think it's not their time yet. There were more people yang lom recognized yet.

Magika as Best Film? Interesting... but no valid reason. Kenapa? Sebab fantasi yang promosi watak mitos/fiksyen local? Sebab CGI? Oh well... lantak la.

Camni je la. Aku tak suka dunia seni baik filem atau muzik, dipolitikkan. Dan aku tak suka kalao this ends up being JUST a business. Mana penghargaan nilai estitika hasil seni?

Ok... da la meroyan bab tuh. Letih. Sepanjang malam, and the last two weeks memacam da dengar dan bertukar dari mulot ke mulot. FFM SUCKS. Period.

About the event itself - ni pemerhatian aku sendiri, dan juga kompilasi complaints dari artis dan orang industri sendiri. Sapa nak terasa ke haper ke, stop being a defensive idiot. Nak wat better kan? Learn from your mistakes. And you can only learn when you admit the mistakes.

*Majlis penuh dengan orang entah siapa pon, tak kenal. Kata ni ibarat Raya orang filem. Tapi kenapa ramai jemputan nan hado? Datang lak cam kereta berhias lak...bad fitting suits and cheap, skanky dresses.

*Nampaknya 'silent boycott' menjadi. Tak ramai artis nama top meletop muncul including nominees. Yang mai KEBANYAKKANNYA either penyampai, or artis suam-suam kuku je nak promosi diri.

*SACC sungguh tak glam dan tak sesuai nak feeling jadi home pada majlis yang konon prestij. Kecik dan semak ala Kompleks PKNS.

*Dah la venue kecik, tak bagi orang masuk dewan kena berlegar kat luar, sampai tiap rongga SACC diisi pelok sakan sekor-sekor.

*Red carpet glamour trafik jam sebab jalan pendek nak penoh berapa interview, pentas bagai. Last-last, stop sana stop sini, red carpet lom abih, majlis da start mengakibatkan artis ada yang sangkut luar kena jeling masuk lambat.

*Hezrey tu menyemak. Ngan rambut pacak senget penuh glitter, merapu je staff RTM ni. Sharifah Shahira dan Zizan meletop tapi dicacatkan oleh penyertaan sekor tuh.

*Opening Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa. Motif promosi filem KRU akan kuar? Apa relevance? Tarian tu not our culture ke haper pon as it's a work of fiction. Unless ada something I missed and Merong tuh dance musical yang nak diketengahkan.

*Performance semua haus! Shamsul as a rapper? Really? Nyemak je dia dan ensemble dia. Radhi lak tenggelam.

*Performance best - Angkatan Pemuda Indie atau API (AJ - Popshuvit, Lan - Azlan & The Typewriter, MonoLoque, Jipie - Pesawat, Greg Henderson, Din - Estranged) paling meletop. Appallam pun best. Dayang dan Lan ok la. Lain - erm.. production RTM typical.

*Penyampai trofi semua - entah asal usual planet mana. Up sikit dari penyampai trofi puteri bunian kat pre-awards jek.

*Pas abih event konon ada post party. Hado? Makan-makan kat luar lobby jek.

*Press conference takde. Juri semua ilang dan tidak dapat dikesan media tuk ditanya soalan.

*Sekuriti tak dibayar overtime kot semua pon sama ilang. Orang luar semua masuk, kesian artis da la berasak makan minom sparuh mati pas event hado... kena layan peminat.

*Dalam kesempitan SACC dan keadaan kelam kabut, cam pasar malam da. Kesian yang feeling pakai kain panjang kena pijak bagai.

*Ramai artis dan berangan artis tak tahan keadaan lantas angkat kaki berkompol mamak-mamak. Glamer sungguh mamak Shah Alam malam tadi.

Ni bukti post part hado.

Aku pon ciao ngan kengkawan nak makan dan wat post mortem. Kesian ada kawan sorang ni. Asik wat keja, tak sempat melantak dalam huru hara, sampai kena nasi ayam banyak ni nak isi tangki.

Friends

Just had dinner with my family. So happy. Got them to open my presents to them. So happy. I might be close to broke (not nearly) but I'm so happy for planning out my Christmas presents enough (though not as good as my previous years).

Anyway... just a few hours to go, but to all my Christian brethren, merry Christmas and do remember the reason for the season. Hugs to all. To all my non-Christian friends, happy holidays.

I love my Christmas tree this year.

Am a little tired from last night, so don't know whether will be going out later tonight with friends.

Nabila is about four months plus into her pregnancy - and boy she's radiant! Glowing gila! Supposed to be a girl, Nabila kata da scan and thus pretty sure it's a girl. All the best to Nabila and hubby. And Liyana looks pretty hot too.

Anyway pas abih gi Pelita. Plan ngan kengkawan sekumpulan je. But sampai sana ramai lak kengkawan lain yang tak plan. Including a whole group of recognisable faces. The most well known directors in the local film industry.

It was pretty fun as biasa lepak ngan golongan pelakon berborak and mengumpat, this one dapat sesi ngan the filmmakers yang memang the best in the business. Banyak la gak berborak bagai.

Got back late, didn't get up early, and missed working out today. But nevermind. It's Christmas eve. Ok je. One day won't kill me. But all that makan will... aduh.... ok nak mandi dulu.

Can you believe it. At this hour, I am in my second meeting and pas nih one more to go before I call it a day.

In between sempat selit nak gi usha rehearsal Cuci The Musical. Merasalah. Damn, I am so tired. Tapi sebab hidup aku takde orang sponsor, kena lah usaha carik makan sendiri. Hah! Actually, bukan sebab cari makan... sometimes it's not only about the money...

Anyways, am so happy today.

Anyway, today's meetings was to finalise the details for flash mob project. Not just any flash mob. We're aiming for THE BIGGEST flash mob in the country.

Had to go for the final day of shooting for Jalan Lama before it wrapped.

Kalao sebelum ni kat Belum, and also FRIM kat Kepong, tonight (yesterday night, early this morning) it was the jungle deep into Gombak on the way to Bentong melalui erm.. jalan lama.

CREEPY!!!!

By the way, sapa ingat keja pelakon tu glamorous, you've got to be joking. It's hours of waiting, just to shoot minutes if not mere seconds before the camera. Dua kali pengalaman aku da cukup nak muntah darah, and never want to do anymore acting da.
