Er... ok so now on to my comments. Nak cakap camna.

Tahniah la pada semua yang menang. Everyone, every film - semua orang work hard kan? SO takde isu 'aku menang, aku keja keras'. Takde gak isu dengki ke, haper ke... sebagai alasan bila orang kritik. So lame.

I mean, immediately aku dengar beberapa orang defensive mode sebut pasal 'ni lah orang Melayu nak dengki etc hasil keja orang sendiri' or 'we worked hard for this' or 'suka tau ada bangsa sampahkan hasil keja orang lain' etc.

Excuse me? Masuk industri di mana hasil keja ko akan dinilai - pe halnya nak camtuh? Stupid, moronic mentality tol bila camtu. Nama nak iktiraf yang TERBAIK?

Kalao da ada yang BUKAN yang terbaik perlu ke.

I have been dissatisfied with nominations dari start. Muallaf, Ice Kacang Puppy Love dapat consolation prize la kiranya ngan Anugerah Khas Juri. Merasalah la kan... tak layak bertanding kononnya sebab not enough content dalam bahasa kebangsaan. Nama FESTIVAL FILEM MALAYSIA. Siapa yang wat filem-filem tuh? Orang asing ke? Does it make those two films any less Malaysian - sedangkan filem-filem tu gak angkat nama Malaysia at an international level?

I think Shamsul and Lisa are very talented, but I think it's not their time yet. There were more people yang lom recognized yet.

Magika as Best Film? Interesting... but no valid reason. Kenapa? Sebab fantasi yang promosi watak mitos/fiksyen local? Sebab CGI? Oh well... lantak la.

Camni je la. Aku tak suka dunia seni baik filem atau muzik, dipolitikkan. Dan aku tak suka kalao this ends up being JUST a business. Mana penghargaan nilai estitika hasil seni?

Ok... da la meroyan bab tuh. Letih. Sepanjang malam, and the last two weeks memacam da dengar dan bertukar dari mulot ke mulot. FFM SUCKS. Period.

About the event itself - ni pemerhatian aku sendiri, dan juga kompilasi complaints dari artis dan orang industri sendiri. Sapa nak terasa ke haper ke, stop being a defensive idiot. Nak wat better kan? Learn from your mistakes. And you can only learn when you admit the mistakes.

*Majlis penuh dengan orang entah siapa pon, tak kenal. Kata ni ibarat Raya orang filem. Tapi kenapa ramai jemputan nan hado? Datang lak cam kereta berhias lak...bad fitting suits and cheap, skanky dresses.

*Nampaknya 'silent boycott' menjadi. Tak ramai artis nama top meletop muncul including nominees. Yang mai KEBANYAKKANNYA either penyampai, or artis suam-suam kuku je nak promosi diri.

*SACC sungguh tak glam dan tak sesuai nak feeling jadi home pada majlis yang konon prestij. Kecik dan semak ala Kompleks PKNS.

*Dah la venue kecik, tak bagi orang masuk dewan kena berlegar kat luar, sampai tiap rongga SACC diisi pelok sakan sekor-sekor.

*Red carpet glamour trafik jam sebab jalan pendek nak penoh berapa interview, pentas bagai. Last-last, stop sana stop sini, red carpet lom abih, majlis da start mengakibatkan artis ada yang sangkut luar kena jeling masuk lambat.

*Hezrey tu menyemak. Ngan rambut pacak senget penuh glitter, merapu je staff RTM ni. Sharifah Shahira dan Zizan meletop tapi dicacatkan oleh penyertaan sekor tuh.

*Opening Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa. Motif promosi filem KRU akan kuar? Apa relevance? Tarian tu not our culture ke haper pon as it's a work of fiction. Unless ada something I missed and Merong tuh dance musical yang nak diketengahkan.

*Performance semua haus! Shamsul as a rapper? Really? Nyemak je dia dan ensemble dia. Radhi lak tenggelam.

*Performance best - Angkatan Pemuda Indie atau API (AJ - Popshuvit, Lan - Azlan & The Typewriter, MonoLoque, Jipie - Pesawat, Greg Henderson, Din - Estranged) paling meletop. Appallam pun best. Dayang dan Lan ok la. Lain - erm.. production RTM typical.

*Penyampai trofi semua - entah asal usual planet mana. Up sikit dari penyampai trofi puteri bunian kat pre-awards jek.

*Pas abih event konon ada post party. Hado? Makan-makan kat luar lobby jek.

*Press conference takde. Juri semua ilang dan tidak dapat dikesan media tuk ditanya soalan.

*Sekuriti tak dibayar overtime kot semua pon sama ilang. Orang luar semua masuk, kesian artis da la berasak makan minom sparuh mati pas event hado... kena layan peminat.

*Dalam kesempitan SACC dan keadaan kelam kabut, cam pasar malam da. Kesian yang feeling pakai kain panjang kena pijak bagai.

*Ramai artis dan berangan artis tak tahan keadaan lantas angkat kaki berkompol mamak-mamak. Glamer sungguh mamak Shah Alam malam tadi.

Ni bukti post part hado.

Aku pon ciao ngan kengkawan nak makan dan wat post mortem. Kesian ada kawan sorang ni. Asik wat keja, tak sempat melantak dalam huru hara, sampai kena nasi ayam banyak ni nak isi tangki.

I must be getting old. Tak semangat aku soal clubbing agik. nama je klubbkidd. Heh... da pangkat pencen nya clubber.

Sampai smalam kena racun tuk gi event Hennessy Artistry malam esok pon tak larat nak pikirkan.

But I do so wanna go sebab ada member ajak tapi tu la. Perangai aku skang lebih suka dok umah ke lepak ngan kengkawan chill out je.

Anyway, lari topik. Smalam press conference for Hennessy Artistry.

Ni acara yang orang dok kecoh Mizz Nina amik bahagian pesta arak tuh. Amik ko press conference, artis Malaysia - masa all the acts were asked to toast tomorrow night's event - minom Coke je. Heh!

Anyway, not interested so much sebab selain Mizz Nina, Deja Voodoo Spells. cuma ada Da Mouth dan Kardinal Offishall. Ada aku kisah?

The only reason aku nak gi actually sebab DJ Alex Dreamz. Dia kat KIIS Fm skali satu stesen ngan Ryan Seacrest and dia spin kat XS/Tryst kat Las Vegas. Memang music dia meletop! I love his mixes and the only reason aku sanggup pegi pon is because of him and only him.

Alex ni aku follow mixes dia selama ni, tak sangka dapat jumpa. Pas interview, leh borak borak. Even pas press conference pon dia borak ngan aku.

Yang kelakarnya... ni la cita bagaimana Twitter makes it a small world. Memula aku mesej dia kata aku akan interview dia dalam sejam - celah banyak interview dia kena buat.

Masa aku masuk bilik je, dia cam terus dan tegur aku. Abih interview borak, gelak bagai, dia add aku kat Twitter terus. Aku pon mesej je sana. Pastu jumpa kat press conference, dia gelak kata aku laju gila kat Twitter.

Matilah....

But memang dia pon mintak keep in touch. Can't wait for Alex to come down KL again. You're always welcome, mate. And thanks for the Summer Soundtrack. Love it!

Kardinal tuh hado aku heran? Apa lagik yang lain? But to my hombre, my amigo Alex, knock out a good set, and if I can make it there, I'll see you.

Anyway pas abih event Artistry tuh aku gi la Media Prima Screenings di mana rangkaian TV Media Prime tayangkan apa yang bakal meka tonjolkan dalam programming 2011. Meletop. Astro memang tercabar la pasni.

Tu Datuk Seri Farid Ridzuan dalam mode smooth criminal dia tuh. Tema screenings meka 'mobsters' kisahnya.

Aku malas nak snappy banyak pics, tapi yang ni wajib.

Tuh dia. Sapa tak minat, awas aku sekeh!

Shout!

Damn! I slept at only 6am this morning, and bangun kol 5 petang! Amik ko! Sebelas jam hibernasi!

Semalam gi Shout!. Erm... it was ok. Too loud - and no, I'm not too old. I've been to all the MTV Awards (except the last one) and survived concerts like Avril and Slipknot, and even Westlife, so I doubt I'm past screaming crowds or audio systems pumping inhuman levels of sound.

But ada je yag tak kena. It was good, and also bad. How do you describe it... Just definitely not worth having to go through the jam with the Manchester United training going on next door.




It's like a great performance for Jac, baru nak emo in rememberance of Michael, and then you had Reefa bounce out disrupting the whole feel of things. Like... WTF???!!!

It was like everyone buying into the hype of Bunkface (respect to them - idop budak Klang... orang kampung aku tuh!) but turning zombified masa Estranged put on one of the best performances of the night.

Basically - a potentially good event, but riddled with many WTF moments.

Pesawat were the real hit of the night, but kenapa la ada orang lonjat lonjat jerit jerit sebelom tuh. Tak perlu sangat!

Tak bother sangat. In fact, caught the show, while spending a lot of time with Gaya, Afdlin and Mamat Khalid and their wives apart from other friends who were left blurred out by a lot of what went on that night.

In fact had more fun when Upin and Ipin menang award... boleh? One of the highlights for sure?



Sean Kingston? Overrated, oversweaty, overmiming and just plain overweight. Period. Nyanyi pon tak setakat YEAHHH YEAHHH and uhmmm... and one or two more lines on top of the CD. Bosan nak mampos! So much for the closing act.

Sapa agik yang ok ek. The performers worthy of a mention were Bunkface, Nikki (though Shila was a WTF moment), One Buck Short, Joe Flizzow.. and a few more. Caprice and a few others would do good to learn how not to just randomly shout into a mic. Oh well...

The crowd? Let's not even go there.

Layan je la pics. By the way, if you guys dulu ada baca pasal these Chanel gun heels I so loved (and convinced Faz to get them, here she is wearing them to the first public event in Malaysia they've been seen in. Don't know if she's the first person in the country to have these shoes, but berani cakap she is the first to have them in all three colours, epecially these black and whites.

PPS - Dapat berita dari Syuib on the World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles. Malaysians masih teruskan saingan dalam final. Dilla, Wilson and Iza made it to the finals of all the modelling categories, while Artistana Group made it to the finals of the dance category.

In vocals, Bob, Sarah Raisuddin, Hasmidar made it into one solo, and two duet categories for the finals. More info as news comes in. Malaysia boleh! KEPITA boleh! Heh!
