Hectic!

Hectic is the only word yang leh describe ari ni. Aku rush nak prepare memacam yang patut disiapkan sebelom berlepas ke Jakarta.

Banyak sangat kerja, sampai kelam kabut. Pas abih keja lak, gegas ke kedai Dicky nak return some stuff rented. All that itself took me to almost midnight.

Masa rush sana sini tuh, lepak je rumah Dicky to unwind sebentar along with si Juan yang ikut sekali sebab nak jumpa adik dia pastu.

The thing I like most about being at Dicky's place, ialah kucing manja milik jiran dia. Sebab malas nak wat posting panjang panjang before the trip, ni antara yang paling malas I'll ever post.

Ni pics of Pee Pee (I think it's spelt Pipi) tapi whatever la... comel tak? Suka tengok dia tidur.

Buli camna pon dia tak amik pot...janji dia dapat nap.

Close up je dia da perasan...

Gerak ke Taman Greenwood pastuh to meet up with adik Juan and some friends, later joined by si Afi (nak aku link blog ko tak?).

Bagi sapa yang tatau, Afi ni jiran Shawal (alasan yang diberikan kalao ada yang tanya dia kenal ke tak Shawal - dan dia malas nak cita panjang sebab da beribu lemon kali da ditanya soaolan sama - kecian jadik adik Shawal kena tanya tuh je keja...heh!)

Lepak kat area Danau Kota makan... as you can see, banyak tol satay yang si Juan melantak.

Yeap... tu pic sebelah kanan tuh semua si Juan punya keja...

Erm....tapi dalam pic tuh takde lak tunjuk garpu 'ajaib'.

Yeap finally aku saja wat metal bending and kira it came off without any hitches. Terpegun Afi ek...amik ko kelas pree camnak nak bengkokkan sudu garpu dan bagi terpulas pelbagai bagi mamak rugi lagik barang barang dia kena kerjakan.

Heh...Juan pun cuba, tapi erm...pecah lobang la ko buat...jangan buat sampai latihan cukup, keji!

Wat malu aku jer kang...

So ordered drink after drink, dok rosakkan je berapa garpu kat kedai mamak tuh nak ajar skill... kalau makan area Uptown Danau Kota kat mamak, dan ko perasan sudu garpu ko bengkang bengkok... tu keja Afi dan Juan ok (aku maintain muka innocent jer).

Walked about Uptown Danau Kota for a while just to kill time.

Dalam kami pusing pusing, teti we spotted a familiar face... tapi siapa yer.

Dia pon jalan bersiar ngan dua orang kawan, so kami pun approach.

Sapa agik kalao bukan si Rizal (merasalah akibat terserempak satu malam ko kena dera pasa dot dot dot kan...)

So the entourage grew bigger as we traipsed about Uptown.
Bought myself one helluva funky lighter in a belt yang very the concealed. Erm... good for emergency situations, plus no one gets to steal my lighter, or me the opportunity to lose it as I always so, pastuh sibuk nak carik api kalau nak isap rokok.

RM50 for the unique piece...nice... simply round shiny buckle je, tapi quality...even the leather of the belt was quite good too.
Erm...ada gak worthy buy in places like this where useless trinkets dominate.

Pas memasing rasa kaki dah nak patah, baru decide nak gerak and had another round of supper in Bangsar sebelom head back nak packing.

Ala...packing ringan jer... sebab dok baru tiga hari... tapi biasa la...sebab ada event nak jaket (merasalah bak Ermenegildo Zegna aku) as well as kasut dua pasang nak pilih just in case tak puas ati.

Erm...it ended up not so light (my luggage) but whatever lah...

Oklah, gotta finish some stuff and then bugger off balik ke KL nak leave for the airport by 6 pagik.

Merasalah tak tidur....harus sampai je mata eyebags ala designer lagik. Mampos lah...camna nak jumpa dia camnih...hish...

Ok items all checked, everything packed...now nak tunggu masa lak kejap lagik nak gerak.
Mintak mintak pas mandi semua takde la rasa ngantuk ni jadik lagik terus sebab looks like it's going to be a long week ahead. A long but FUN week.

And yang petntingnya...ada 'dia' kat Jakarta, so Jakarta at least will be fun...if nothing else.
Yang penting confirm mampus nak belanja kat dua tempat nih. Gila lah pokai aku pasnih nak beli tuh beli nih...

Erm...

Oh well... when it rains, it pours...so janji have fun jer lah kan....

I will be trying to update from there, but no promises ok guys cause it is quite a packed schedule there, so I will do my best jer lah.

PS - By the way, seperti tahun lepas, aku ingin wish Qenari (tahun lepas pun ada wish kat sini ok Qenari..ko check balik last year punya), a very happy birthday!

Jakarta (dalam kenangan, bukan dalam pic)

Orang bilang mimpi hanyalah kembang tidur.

PS - Pic tu amik malam tadi masa birthday party Syazwan. Indah tol pandangan dari PNB Darby Park. But somehow pandangan kota metropolitan yang aku renungi dari tingkap, ingatkan aku pada saat aku renung dari my hotel room ketika di Jakarta thinking about how things would be... three years ago.

It's been fun. No regrets. After all... it brought me this far.
Sorry ek...going back to Jakarta brings a flood of memories. Never thought I'd be going back to Jakarta to work on my dreams, which are not the same as the ones I went there for in the first place.

Nak layan Eiffel I'm in Love sebelom aku tidur. Banyak sangat perkara aku ingatkan... it's weird.
But I'm happy at this moment no matter what shit comes my way. No matter how many drama queens want to parade their emotional baggage in front of me.

Nothing can stop me smiling. (note I didn't mention shopping, but that's another reason altogether)

Rempit? Shoo!

Damn my Mozilla browser. Menci tol. Da abih entry, as usual, tak hengat nak save. Akibatnya, after the sudden appearance of the pop up yang tayangkan error message. Tetiba je disappear pas click send/don't send error report tuh. Cam kesial...

Aduh... so akibatnya, entry ni kena delayed sebab malas nak repeat performance nak taip kan balik segalanya.

Actually, sebab semalam aku meroyan sikit pasal rempit, ada ler pic kelakar ni nak share. After Ikon last night, aku jumpa Vern and Rudy kat Kampung Baru for a drink.
Disana jugak la ada la orang tuh order teh o suam, dapat hidangan air yang sebegitu istimewa in the pic kat sebelah tuh.

Kenapa istimewa?

Sebab bila bagitau kat waiter tuh tuh bukan order yang dipesan, and that the actual order was teh o suam.... dia leh ngan muka takde expression langsung... "betul lah tuh... teh o ais suam".

Boleh gituh? Some people are just so freaking creative when it comes to making excuses.
Anyways, back to the story behind the pic aku nak share... masa kat Kampung Baru tuh, aku actually had the incident kar PICC on my mind.

Yerlah terpikirkan artis veteran yang hebat cam Julie Sudiro perform, tetiba binatang binatang rempit dok belakang dewan kecoh sebab they can't appreciate someone who can sing in tune.

These same unwashed heathens with unusually loud voices to compensate for the lack of brains which goes in tandem ngan their lack of awareness about basic hygiene or common sense, only probably made their way to the venue disebabkan they probably as usual, had nothing to do with their lives on a Friday night (and couldn't afford to - like some people I know of), apart from showing up where they weren't wanted to behave like the hooligans they were to seek some form of validation (even if it be the ugliest of stares) to their pathetic existence.

Astro really should vet out riff raff like this from their events sebab wat malu jer bila keadaan camnih terjadi.

Or better still, put up this banner aku nampak kat Kampung Baru kat setiap event. Salute lar orang Kampung Baru. Apparently they can't stand these breed of losers too in their territory.
Pic ni aku da amik, tapi sebab ada orang hina aku kerana perasan pic dia lebih elok (mana tak nya dia pakai flash pelbagai) so aku curi je pic dia...

Cute isn't it... they should have this everywhere. Isn't it about time they stomped out rempit-ism? Sick and tired of every Saturday night kala nak kuar terpaksa tengk these little buzzing insects on motorised bicycles who think they're like cool or something when they're just... mmm.... DISPOSABLE!

Oh well... I suppose everything that exists has a purpose... even if it's cockroaches. We'll never really know the reasons... but...oh well... life's mysteries kan.

On with it.. tima kasih ler pada orang yang banyak masa ni yang takde kej nak sibuk wat screen shot aku kat Ikon. Keji sangat hidup ko kan...

Heh... minggu depan aku nak definitely avoid the cameras. Ni da confirm kes naya nih kan!!!!

The last pic I have nak share for today is something special... it's of a friend.

Kalao korang tengok show Julie Sudiro, kan she was back by a pianist. Hah amoi main piano tuh, nama dia Genervie Kam.

Genervie nih kira rated international pianist la sebab dia da berapa kali represent Malaysia da seberang laut dan sebagainya mengharumkan nama Malaysia.

She's also a talented violinist tak silap aku, and dia ni da banyak terlibat dalam arrangement tuk lagu a lot of major names.

Alamak...siap aku cam tulis resume tuk dia lak. Anyways... Genervie Kam Shi Ling (abih la aku kena ketuk ngan Genervie bagi nama penuh dia ni)

Dia ni bukan je talented... malah satu family dia ni musically inclined.

Takyah soal pasal orang tua dia nih...yang memang have the gift, dua lagik adik beradik dia pun sama.

One of her brothers, si Nigel tuh satu batch ngan aku tuk intake 1993/1994 for our Sound and Audio Engineering Diploma kat Ocean Institute of Audio Technology (241B!!!! Holler!!!)... and the youngest si Arthur yang dok main percussion tuh.

Ala...dulu kan AIM dan beberapa event besar ada dak kecik main percussion yang begitu mesmerising gituh... hah dia tuh la.

Alamak... panjang lak cita pasal Genervie ni. Ye lah... saja nak introduce orang sebalik tabir. Since Vernon tak gi Ikon, si Genervie kem salam kat dia... melalui pic bawah ni... leh?

Konsert IKON Solo

Bosan ari ni sebab lepak jer, last last lewat sikit. Finally decided nak gi IKON nak tengok how the solo competition is measuring up.

Jalan sekali ngan group kengkawan dari Astro (thanks to Jolyn and Anis) foe the lovely hospitality. Road trip ler alamatnya.

Had fun, but it was a little painful to encounter stupid people on the way, like that girl kat KFC punya drive in kat highway Seremban tuh.

Oh well... no wonder some people end up how they do.

Harus ler sumpah seranah sebab nak amik order pun berapa lama (akibat degil tamau amik order direct, nak ask everyone and then da bagitau, tetona mintak ilang sebab dia nak key in)
So the first time syok sendiri ke apa?

Pelik...

Sampai sampai jer serempak ngan sorang muka evil yang dok jeling kat aku. Mak aih... takut ok...rasa cam leh cair kena jeling maut camtuh... sapa lagik kalao bukan (cue suspenseful music) Ramli MS! Merasalah ketua hakim. He was with the others tapi seronok lak sampai sampai je jumpa abang Ramli.

Sempat ler sembang ngan dia. These are the only times we get to meet.

Met many more other people, dan kena naya ngan Dollah Cantik yang merupakan stage manager for the event.

Siot jer ko Dollah.... korang tau tak kalao ada kat venue tau la... si Dollah nih leh mintak orang applaud sambil announce nama.
Kalao gi atas dasar lain sebab ada kena mengena ngan program takper la.

Ni gi nak tugas, wat malu jer dia paksa orang dalam venue applaud lak. Keji ko Dollah! Tunggu aku balas dendam (seb baik ko baik ngan aku kan.... heh!)

Found it difficult to get seats because we arrived something like 20 minutes before the show, so feeling feeling seat elok semua da kena snapped up, walaupon reserved (merasalah some people don't know how to read - ala ala benda tempek kat kerusi tulis ia dikhaskan untuk siapa semua, ala ala hiasan yang tak dipedulikan jer). Keji kan...

Found a decent aisle seat in the end, tapi da risau sebab da nampak ada kamera dekat tuh... nak wat camna dok je la and keep my head down and hope for the best.

On laptop, found there there was wireless service. Oh joy!!!

Which means aku leh online dari sana.

Suka suka suka!!! So rajinkan diri update blog ler alang alang today punya entry lom kan. Pics amik, diuploadkan kemudian.

Anyway, the show itself was impressive dari masuk je dewan. Sebab the crowd was intense,
Ramai peminat dari FC artis yang terlibat muncul, so it is kind of fun to feel the energy of everyone.

Ok...nak feeling review the show as it progresses la... ala live gituh kan. Dah lama tak update camni. Merasalah balas dendam berapa ari backdated je keja dan malas update kan... tapi skang nak lebih lebih lak kan.

Permulaan a little confusing sebab ala ala feeling nak promosi Visit Malaysia Year 2007 gituh but they were wearing this confusing mix and match ensemble of purple and white. Erm... I have no idea why. Horrendous... tapi I suppose Astro wardrobe so nak wat camna kan.

Do we really expect anything more? Sarimah was quite fun and bubbly, though at times I found her screaming annoying sebab sora dia dah ler sharp gituh. At times it was almost banshee like.

But still... she handled the show well and should be commended for her efforts of making the show a nice little effort. That coupled with the slick production (but not the sound quality), it was quite pleasing actually and not as horrible as I had anticipated.

Now on with the show...

Adam - Hi...
Adam kicked off the show. Suara dia honestly biasa jer. Quite moderate and nothing great even though banyak ler improvement through the years.
But one thing yang stand out pasal show dia is the choreography which I found quite excellent, and rather tight. The steps were impressive and obviously these kids have been watching pirated DVDs of Stomping The Yard, You Got Served and Honey for some references to the funkier moves often missing from our local choreographers' routine.

All in all, memang menarik lah.

Impressive. A lot of style, though the show was forgettable in terms of the actual song and Adam's singing.

Not too bad. Aku enjoyed the show because of the presentation je. Terpaksa ignore the song and the singing tapi still, by the end of the night, I found it one of the better shows simply for it's entertaining factor.

This is ne instance where lack of vocal quality does NOT hamper a show.

Definitely worth a watch in the semifinals.



Dayang Nurfaizah - Hilang
She killed it midway, but the start and the end were kind of limp. I don't know what happened.

Lemau light light, though Dayang was all soul for tonight. Suka sebenarnya!!!
Cuma I think she got a little carried away and I think somewhere along the way, she lost the plot when she tried to goreng lebih lebih sampai hangus.

Bolehlah, but even though Adam was more visual, it outshadowed Dayang in terms of showmanship overall sebab it at times sounded boring and draggy.

I think Dayang chose the wrong song. Sayang, but despite a lot of them being experienced performers, they still have a problem choosing the right song for a competition.

The song kena lah showcase something yang extraordinary sebab da nama pun pertandingan kan... bukan konsert amal apa yang korang perform ni.

Shame cause I think Dayang could have killed it for the night, with Jac as her onlymain competition, but she didn't do her best, perhaps not through her own fault melalui vocals, but because of this pent up energy yang she just unleashed without thinking twice about control.

Wayward power outburst gituh.

Still, loved her make up and hair though her outfit was a ball of confusion because while it was quite nice, it looked a tad drabby onstage, most probably because of the stage setting that would have worked better with loud colours of outfits worn on stage.

Hope Dayang gets through though sebab I really want to see her in. Iconic? Perhaps after what she has been through, in a way, Dayang is quite iconic because she has persevered through a lot and made a comeback of sorts which is quite an example not just for kids out there not to be quitters, but also new artistes who face a million and one challenges in trying to make it in the industry.

Apart from Dayang, Ning is the only other artiste yang aku tau has been through this whole load of s**t (Ning more lah...)and still come out smelling like roses.



Shanon Shah - Masih Aku Terasa
I kind of pity him sebab orang cam tak hargai sangat sebab lagu lagu dia bukan mainstream hit compared to the others, and because of that dia kurang dapat sokongan walaopon bakat dia memang besar..

I don't know why he sounded shaky throughout the song, which was irritating for me.

Even the piano accompaniment was beautiful and made the song just awesome (in terms of potential), but hi little vibrato thingamjic tuh menampakkan nervousness dia sangat. Perhaps it was the whole competition yang dia kurang biasa kot senario camni, because he definitely had the jitters and underperformed.

I think he blew his one chance for mainstream recognition.Definitely not an icon.

Good choice of song, would have given him a thumbs up for that, but actual execution was just totally busuk!!!

While I was actually rooting for him, I know this is such a wrong competition for hin to be in and honestly, I think...or more accurately I hope he doesn't get thrugh after that scary display of nerves.



Ezlynn - Jikalau Aku & Selagi
Ok...I've never looked at her as a real singer. Walaupon bakat dia terserlah bab lain, bab nyanyi aku takleh tima. I mean honestly... icon? Ezlynn can act or host, nut walaopon she started as a lunge act... she just can't sing to save her life.

Aku predicted she would do horribly from the start. And I was so wrong.

She didn't!

It was horrendous!!!!

It was also amateurish because the number of times she crashed on not just low but also high notes,

She should have stuck to the safer songs and enhanced on showmanship like Adam kala da sedar yang vocal dia mungkin tak dapat lawan some of the more powerful voice for the night.
Nice styling tapi sayang pakai dancers disediakan because apparently, the whole look didn't gel with hers and made it look totally rojak.

Gawd...not an icon... no way. Sora katun ler kekadang...aduh...

Erm... kalao ikut make up dan styling (moka and rambut ek), baik icon, Ziana Zain terus sebab aku rasa cam pakai template Ziana) walaupon dia kata ikut Gwen Stefani,

Merasalah budak kena interview Sarimah kata Ezlyn layak sebab ada pakej.

Pakej apa? Pakej percutian tiga hari dua malam? Sora takde camna dik...not an icon.



Reshmonu - It's You That Matters
Oops. Did he slip at the start? Merasalah dia ngan konsep Boney M berterusan dedah dada katanya. Merasalah.

It was a nice jazzy touch to the song, tapi aku pelik satu benda. Camna la nak judge camna nak determine seorang icon.

I mean someone like Resh is quite admitedly good, but an icon for our kids, he's not. No matter how much you try, you can't fathom our masses taking it on.

Nice show...but at least in the venue, I think a lot of people didn't get it.

Erm...love his energy, but since he spent so much effort bouncing about, sora dia jadik keji lak ala ala mengah. I think he reworked the song overdose lak feeling remix tak jadik sebab lagu ni sebenarnya banyak kali da dengar dia nyanyi straightforward sedap...tapi kali ni dia feeling konsert perdana sangat kot, terus goreng sampai hangus cam Dayang.

Same problem faced.

Does he deserve to be in? I love his performances, but no...



Farah - Kau Yang Bernama Cinta
Oh my God!!! Apa da jadi ngan Farah. Kenapa la dia dianiaya seperti ni????!!!

Dari make up sampai ke accessories, ke baju. ke vibrato dia...semua overdose!

It wasn't all that bad, but it was seriously just plain boring, and sorry sapa minat Farah, tapi aku rasa performance dia yang paling bosan, and simply constipated gituh, coming across too contrived because she simply tried too hard from every aspect.
Merasalah mesti kena marah ngan Ramli MS pas abih nih...

Peminat patut cari sapa yang buat imej dia cam mak datin menopause je rupa, dan gantung make up artist dia, stylist dia dan sesapa yang sponsor baju ala ala kain baju mandi hugging abih tuh.

Aduh.... apa punya imej. Why are they making her into a jaded tart. We want the old lovable Farah, not this badly dolled up version yang forced to become a veteran diva gituh.

This is one aspect of an artistes' presentation many often forget to take into account, and harapnya Farah will get what she deserves which the young woman she is. Tengok pic pon, cam moka Sharifah Zarina dah.

Sorry ek Farah, carut... tapi tak sanggup tengok ko end up like this.

I think overall, Farah is not ready for any sort of title yang refer pada dia sebagai icon, sebab dia masih jauh perjalanan seninya.

She stands a chance of being there one day... but it's not her time yet, and mintak mintak dia takkan discouraged cause aku rasa dia tak deserve masuk semifinal sebenarnya.

Kalao dia masuk pun, I don't think she'll stand out.

Berikan dia masa tuk polish up (and find a better person to handle dressing her and dolling her up) and maybe soon dia akan bersedia jadik ikon.



Jaclyn Victor - Cinta Tiada Akhirnya
Perlu ke aku nak cakap how her show was like.
I know the dress was a little orange (takpe la - tribute kat blog aku gitu) tapi from every aspect,
Influence Dreamgirls kot.

Jac was simply, utterly and totally amazing without a doubt..
As usual. The thing is, she is so steeped in her ability to control her vocals, honestly everyone looked like an amateur in comparison.

Matilah Farihad akan kata pukul habis!!!!

But it was THAT kind of a performance sebab kalau ikutkan, she practically blew everyone off the stage with her voice.

And fantastic song to showcase her abilities. This is one example where everything just falls in to place and just works no matter what.

The only idol yang leh pakai. And by that, I mean in THIS competition against the likes of Daniel and Dina and all... sebab she's way above everyone, so far ahead, it's not even funny.

I just hope Jac also displays her versatility in more upbeat numbers sebab tanak la dia kena cap tarik sora, goreng sana sini jer.

I know she's got the groove and I want to see more of her mojo onstage ngan lagu lagu yang lebih rancak dan leh joget lambak light light.

And THEN show 'em how it's done by pulling those notes and blowing everyone apart.

Honestly, against the Indonesians and Filipinos, I see Jac as the only worthy representative kalao nak Malaysia menang because walaupon ada yang nak sokong yang lain ke apa, we all know she is at that level where she is up to it.

After all, it's not about popularity ke lagu sedap ke...

Untimately, first of all, it's the search for an icon. But of course that's just programming bull to give it a different approach.

We know at the end of the day, each country punya icon lain requirements nya, so it's going to bil down to vocals to serve as proof of how good the said artiste is.
And Jac?

She is so there already...



Daniel - Mimpi
Dari start aku da nak gelak. My God!!!!!!!! Horror tul mamat nih.
I mean kalao everyone pilih salah lagu, he had a killer bouncy tune to enjoy to. Sayangnya dia kena bukak mulot dia and spoil it all for all of us.

Ni Ikon Taiwan ke? Merasalah Rina akan ketuk pala aku pas ni sebab carut artis dia.
From the intro yang overhyped with the sound effects yang overdose...you knew where it was going to go.

The supposed king of falsetto (title dia penah berangan dapat masa kat kolej) langsung takde control over his voice and it was like a little girl warbling away badly.

It sucked... big time!

And erm... sumbang sana sini.. dia nak ikon tuk pasaran apa pun aku tatau.

Why doesn't it surprise me pink is is favourite colour.

Thank God she wasn't singing Cinta Datang Lagi again... the only thing you hear apart from Blu Cantrell's Hit 'Em Up Style yang menjadi lagu lagu cari makan dia.

After all, I'm sure her ability spans beyond that.
Erm..first thing kena tegur mata patchy tuh kenapa. Make up konsep kena tumbuk satu hal.

And baju yang nampak spare tyre tidak perlu ok. I mean, there are a lot of acts out there now yang berbadan sihat, tapi pandai cover, girl!

My God. They're artistes, someone get them a consultant.

Oh no... I was wrong.. she is performing Cinta Datang Lagi. Again... I think term ikon tu patutnya pada awal meka kena stress sorang ikon tuh bukan je satu dua lagu je ang mampu nak perform ok.

Good effort really... but I really want to recommend her a consultant.

And I hope she realises her image has to grow from time to time so that it shows a sense of maturity in the end.

Sebab kalao da nyanyi dua tiga tahun tapi tetap sama cam time ko start, then you're just stagnant, and that's not good.

Aku da banyak kali gak dengar dak botak ni nyanyi lagu ni and it's ALWAYS a powerful delivery. Kesian lak tengok dalam first verse je sora dia tak kuar kuar.
Memang dia tak sihat and he sounded really tired. And walaopon ramai akan anggap alasan (and I'm not even defending him) it was obvious he was not healthy enough to go on.

Sampai kena jab pelbagai kat klinik kat Bangi... erm... at least he deserves applause for going on and doing his best.

But lantak la orang kata aku sokong dia ke haper, even by the name of icon he already deserves da. The only outstanding possible candidate selain dari Jac.

And it was quite good gak, walaopon banyak cacat, but hey... any singer who can keep on going despite the situation harus kena puji.At least he went up onstage and brought it on.

Cam haram... that's why events like this patut keep out the riff raff. Mintak mintak Astro impose rempit busuk bangsat takleh masuk kalao tak reti nak hormat a performance daripada seorang artis veteran yang begitu membanggakan, walaupon da in her golden years.

More red and white

Tadi of course confirm alkisahnya sapa akan sign on to KRU Musix Group, iaitu dari Maestro Talent & Management, Dafi, dan dari TV3, The Lima, Mendua, Pianka dan juga Flava.

Aku ran around like a headless chicken again, sibukkan diri ngan tugasan so little time to chat until the event was finally over. After which, I spent quite some time talking to Mendua. They really are the best lot of friends to have sebab open, talented, intelligent and just bubbling with their energetic personality.

Oh... Flava yang berangan pun walked up to me. Kali ni mintak nasihat. Well, at least, they now know how to tegur orang, bukan je media tapi juga artis lain dan orang yang takde kena mengena. It takes a little bit of common sense, and lots of heart... and hopefully this is what they will learn in time.

Malas nak amik pic sebab pening banyak kang nak upload. Janji ngan bebudak Mendua yang sekali ngan The Lima dan Pianka nak ke KLCC tuk jumpa sana. Sekaligus ngan Vern to meet up at Dome.

Sebelom bertolak ke KLCC, talked with Aznil yang juga sekali ngan Anita Sarawak, Ezlynn dan AC Mizal sign nak renew contract with KMG. Looks like the second dream is coming closer to reality...

Sampai KLCC, kat carpark, terserempak orang yang kurang merah lak... who joined me at Dome to wait for the rest. Baru Vern muncul, as usual on the phone, so did Syazwan dan Fendi (gatal lak nak link) Anyway it was Syazwan's birthday, so nyanyi lagu tuk dia.

Keji kan...ala ala tak ikhlas. Scoffed down my Choc a Block yang dibelanja oleh orang yang nak gemukkan aku lagi sebab dengki aku slim and trim (matilah berangan padahal pinggang naik agik seinci lately), before we headed up to Sundanese, where we were joined shortly by the trio of Mendua.

Kak Red tak dapat join sebab dia kena mummy duty...takpe nok. Aku curi pic ko ek letak of us three together!
Dapat ler brush up my Bahasa Indonesia yang memang karat da setelah lama tak diguna pakai (practise sebab kena pakai soon...oops!)

Sambil tunggu our meal arrive, we talked about everything under the sun about things in Malaysia as well as in Indonesia, comparing things with the Mendua kids, and sharing experiences.

All in all, I think it was eye opening for all of us in some way or another, and personally, I got to relive nostalgia in talking about all things related to Jakarta (rindu siot!!! da berapa tahun sejak last aku jejalan kat sana walaopon last year sempat singgah for a few days atas work).

Tukang belanja yang order makanan, yang termasuk ikan ago go (kalao korang baca posting sebelom ni paham la apa asal nama nih) atau lebih dikenali juga ngan nama timangan ikan sesumpah.

Everyone melantak, while I took only a handful of rice and some lauk sebab feeling nak keep to my diet dan jaga badan yang semakin membelon. Congratulated Mendua atas signing ke KRU (matilah aku kena carut!!!!!) and after the meal continued with more topics, some important and sme not quite.

We had so much fun tak perasan lak time just flew by, and before we knew it, da masa nak gerak. We actually wanted to stay on a bit longer, tapi bebudak Mendua kena balik sebab The Lima dan Pianka da tunggu meka kat bawah.

Alkisahnya meka kan naik transport khas yang provided so kena la. Aku offer to send them back as an altrnative memandangkan meka ni dok Shah Alam, which is so on the way, tapi sebab esoknya meka ada recording single meka, kena kansel jer la.

Still, the time it took for us to actually move out of the restaurant was another fifteen minutes, not adding about that same amount of time to go down, and another fifteen minutes or so of chatting ngan Farahdhiya and friend yang tegur aku masa turun escalator, and then yakking with the other Indonesian kids.

Alamak...sorry ek Fara cause bebetul tak perasan ko ler, sayang. Jangan kata aku sombong tau... da tua ni eyesight pun semakin pergi (merasalah nak upkan power contact lens la)

Oh my...

KLCC seems to be the hub of activity suddenly tetiba with everyone there in the middle of the week. Motif???

Oh, I nearly forgot about pics. Ada ler amik sikit sikit, sebab again malas terpikirkan nak upload beribu lemon punya pics. I really have to get over this lazy streak over the past couple of weeks when it comes to blogging lah.

Another day...

Today was such a hectic day, it's hardly worth blogging about tapi seperti biasa nak ke tanak aku da janji pada diri aku sendiri everyday kena ada benda nak blog kan.

Actually today paling kelam kabut, iaitu ke preview filem Diva starring the one and only Ning Baizura memula (MrManager nak confirm tak spekulasi Ning menjadi pelakon wanita paling tinggi bayaran dalam sejarah filem Malaysia ngan filem ni... oops! - merasalah kena carut pas nih!).

Malas nak tengok sebab malam ada gala premiere lagik dan memang tak kuasa nak tengok dua kali, so sampai je abihkan keja interview then gegas kembali ke office nak send in a news story.

Sempat naik hantu jap ngan yang patut sebab kerana terpaksa Diva awal pagik tuh, aku pun terlepas ler nak tengok sneak preview khas Transformers the movie yang ditayangkan panggung sebelah. Keji tau!

Dengki dengki dengki! Tapi takpe... to make up for it, aku lebih lebih lak di compensate tuk preview pada 28 June lak.

Merasalah takyah dakwa nak sewa satu panggung tapi tiket dalam tangan lebih dari cukup nak feeling ala ala.

Anyhoo, da settle bab keja, ran off to Planet Hollywood for another event, kali ni tuk pelancaran filem dan soundtrack Impak Maksima.

Kalao korang baru baru ni korang mesti perasan trailer tuk filem ni yang ala ala Initial D, Fast and Furious punya series and Tokyo Drift.

Not to be confused with another movie coming out which is KL Drift (nampak sangat ciplak) yang wat announcement dulu tapi tak silap aku baru abih ke nak abih shooting sekitar Kuala Lumpur.

Impak Maksima however is actually quite good kalao judgng by the preview we caught, which is the same as the theatrical preview shown in cinemas. We'll wait and see apa hasilnya nanti.

Yang pastinya, aksi drifting dia ni, memang artistic sikit ler kalao banding ngan what I've seen, sebab most of it is for real rather than yang omputeh pakai CGI jer lebih kekadang.

Kira salute gak... Malaysia bolehlah camni! Kerana kurang special effects (oops bukan kurang tapi takde yang ditokok tambah), kos pembikinan filem ni xuma sekitar RM1.8 ke RM2 juta jer.

Kira murah kalao dibandingkan ngan some of the other films of this genre yang memang stress on visual effects.

My only hope is, takde la persamaan Gengster ke, Rempt-It ke... biar dia lain sikit ler dan bukan setakat movie yang ala ala tiru, janji gempak ngan stunts nya.

Soal soundtrack nya lak, I think it'll be a movie targetted at the younger audience sebab most of the tunes (make that all of it) focused on hip hop acts yang ada, selain daripada kehadiran legenda rock, Amy Search.

Tatau ah movie camna, tapi soundtrack daripada apa aku dengar, confirm worth it!!! Filem tunggu dalam berapa minggu ni aku bagitau berbaloi lak ke tak (rasanya ok kot).
Bosan sikit PC nih sebab antara tunggak utama filem ni dan my favourite local actor Zul Huzaimy takde lak muncul. Keji...

Abang Zul takde, aku nak mangsakan snappy sapa ek? Dalam mencari, sempat aku paparazzi dua orang awek ni. So kalao pics tak clear jangan salahkan aku ek!!!
Merasalah paparazzi ngan handphone yang hanya pakai digital zoom (akibatnya pic pecah pecah lak pixel)

Tapi apapon, kenapa aku letak dua pics awek comel kat atas tuh? Erm... mesti korang da penah tengok pic kedua budak ni dalam majalah memana kan? Yang kiri tak yah nak intro, tapi yang kanan tuh ler Raden (sibuk posing wat keja konon... padahal segan nak kena mangsakan oleh blog aku kali ketiga - I still love you Raden! - matilah kena carut ngan tunang ko!)

And of course, ni la antara dua calon bagik watak Saliha yang sampai skang masih tak diketahui dan entah bila akan diketahui walaopon da lebih sebulan sejak kononnya keputusan akan diumumkan sapa yang bakal mendukung watak itu.

Gerak je dari Planet Hollywood, gegas lak ke Cineleisure Damansara for malam gala Diva bersama ngan Juan.

Disebab ujan dan berbagai orang yang beli lesen mandu kot... sampai later than expected, which was still quite early sebab sejam sebelom the expected registration time.

Sempat jalan beberapa kedai anime and such yang ada dalam kompleks tuh. Yerlah biasa nak tengok wayang kat sana da tengah malam...so memang lah kedai semua tutup.

Not bad... siap ada satu kedai tuh cater for cosplay (memakai costume anime characters) dan banyak lagi collectibles.

Merasalah kan sempat usha barang Transformers, but nothing beats the vocie changer. Keji kan yang Titanium Die Cast series hanya pada generation one jer dan bukan yang movie merchandise (tu statement khas buat meka yang minat dan paham je mengenai mainan Transformers).

As we walked out of the complex, there was this display up front depan Cineleisure.

Mula mula aku ingat tuk kempen keselamatan jalan, sebab ada keta ni remuk abih ala ala accident yang nampak fatal abih!!!!

Disebabkan kualiti pic kurang elok (sebab ujan malas aku nak amik masa yang lama nak amik pic yang cantik), sign yang kat depan tuh, tertulis 'Reserved for Megatron.Park at your own risk!'.

Quite creative... cool approach nak plug the movie. Matilah aku semakin hype nak tengok Transformers.

Bumped into Gaya and Anita who were having a drink. Gaya joined us (Anita kena abihkan persiapan tamu nak mai kat gala kang) and we settled looking for a place for... a manicure. Yes, folks, I need to change that black colour, and settled for a French manicure. Heh...leh?

Gaya tak jadik sebab kena waiting (sapa mintak ko paksa aku jalan dulu). At about 8.30pm we headed back to the event. Merasalah kejap da damage kuku aku sebab nak korek business card. Tapi kecacatan sikit jer.

Yang penting I met Azlina! Someone yang was in my life since I was in primary school and very important to me dari dulu sampai skang. Aiyo...pregnant second time da ek sayang?

Amik ko...anak first ko pun aku lum sempat tengok. Kali ni ko nak namakan anak ko ngan nama aku tak seperti penah ko janji (pepandai je) By the way, pic yang kat bawah belah kanan yang scrolling tuh la, ang berambut merah with me in blue tuh, that's Azlina. That pic was taken in 2001.

Quite a lot of people were there, so ni je pics aku mampu share.

Actually, aku letak pic ni ngan Nani ada sebab.
One whole night, kat event tuh, aku tengok Nani asik kena serbu peminat yang banyak bagi sokongan moral kat dia. A lot of people wanted to take pics of her, but dia segan segan sikit sebab da serik ngan kontroversi yang melanda.

And I quite understand predicament dia pun.

Tapi yang tak sedap... pas abih movie masa ramai lagik berlegar the concourse area kat panggung tuh, exchanging views and everything pasal the movie, something happened.
Adalah orang yang memang aku rasakan KUANG AJAR menyerang Nani ngan pelbagai 'teguran' yang condemning secara kuat yang diperhatikan ramai.

Episod tuh oleh pihak ni, seolah olah nak jatuhkan airmuka dia in public! Keji!!!
Aku walaubagaimanapun nak puji Nani sebab walaopon muka dia seolah nak nitis airmata, dia control walaopon dimalukan sebegitu oleh orang yang aku LAGIK MALU nak ngaku sebagai wartawan juga.

Yasmin came to Nani's rescue and pulled her away daripada orang yang bertamadun tu yang meroyan cakap kuat kuat sambil menuding jari pelbagai dan soalkan halal haram sambil ala ngamuk.

Aku tak dengar kesuluruhan conversation meka, but I caught bab mempersoalkan tuh nih da cukup panaskan telinga aku.

We pulled Nani away, and I was thankful nothing happened sebab both Nani dan Yasmin didn't say much to that rude, boorish person!

They walked away with their pride intact, and everyone yang mungkin selama ni ada yang tak sokong dia pun, practically nak campak kasut je kat muka pihak kecoh dan kurang ajar yang mencari perhatian ngan tindakan dia.

Lain kali ingat anak bini kat rumah la... takyah bak betina pelakon baru tuh yang memang pakai dedah sana dedah sini tuh nak tayang selepas bersama dalam panggung gelap.

Tu pun kena ingat ma... anyway Nani, be patient. God is great... You are my baby sister, and I love you you, and I wish I could stop you from hurting over the nasty things people say about you when they judge you, but I can't.

But your strength through it all, continues to amaze me, and for that, you'll have my unending support. Two wrongs don't make a right... I hope some people realise that. No matter what they justify...

Mondays...

After kelam kabut semalam, ari ni cam slow paced sikit. Tapi biasalah nak recuperate pas running around susah sikit.

Still, made it through the day, and when I was done, nak unwind sikit so ajak Vern nak dinner. Memula nak melantak kat kak Ara jer, though not really hungry, tapi last last dropped by iZZi, my fave place sebab ada oang tuh berangan nak feeling class kerana gila glam dari semalam (for an eternity actually) sebab da muncul TV pelbagai. Heh... buzzing katanya!

So we settled on my pizza (which was the Margherita - no meat), my garlic bread (minus the cream and corn soup yang tak muncul) and Vern's linguini.

Seperti biasa, nak makan dia sibuk na amik pic pelbagai dan aku dilarang nak makan selagi dia lum snap pics semua tuk posting kat blog dia.

Keji!

Sungguh bosan nak menunggu orang nak amik pic berzaman... so as the saying goes, 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em', so aku pun snappy skali. Termasuk orang tak betui tuh yang berejam posingkan makanan sampai sejuk bila time leh makan.
Keji seribu kekejian!!!

Merasalah by the time nak amik pic pizza, aku da wolf done one slice da so sorry ek pic pizza tuh kekurangan sikit. Tu akibat kelaparan bila nak sibuk wat photoshoot pelbagai when you need to eat!

During our meal, in between my cigarettes and the bottomless ice lemon tea as well as needless conversation kes aniaya seseorang tu kenakan aku with the Indonesian staff (somehow asik Indonesian je kan lately)... calls went in and out.

So immediately after we were done, gerak ke area opis JKR kat Jalan Sultan Salahauddin mana ada shooting filem terbaru Tayangan Unggul Sdn Bhd, iaitu Apa Kata Hati arahan Saw Teong Hin, yang directkan Puteri Gunung Ledang tuh.

Saja je nak lepak ngan kengkawan Tayangan Unggul like Anita and Gaya.
Tengok cast semua ada cam Farid Kamil and Awal.

Borak tak lama, sebab masa tuh meka da wrap da, dan kami pun ikut ke lokasi seterusnya tul sambung sesi gossip to kill time.
Next stop... Istana Budaya. Well, in front of it anyway... sebab meka nak wat tracking shot sana.

Borak punya borak tunggu meka set up the tempat makan and all (standard la set ada caterers pelbagai).

A lot of gossip exchanged, none able to be shared here, more talk, and some magic tricks. Erm... perlu ke magic tricks tak perlu with my Bicycle Deck. Oh well... janji practise. Practise makes perfect katanya. Nama pun hobby.. sambil sambil jer.

And by the way, kalao ada yang da reti bab magic baca ni, so I admit I still suck big time, cause I'm still practising my throw vanish with the cards which looks quite slow motion kalao banding the actual execution needed, and in the process of improving my basic colour change yang masih sangkut sangkut dan very pecah lobang how it's done sebab tak cukup lancar.

Needless to say it was kind of fun to pass time, apart from quite interesting to learn some stuff on location, sebab you learn how to pick up how different directors, producers, production crew and so on work together on different sets.

Contohnya cam orang ni yang learnt that bab caterer kat set tuh, sebab dia set up meja dan kerusi, tak bermaksud ko leh order segalanya ala kedai mamak walaopon nampak cam meka. Merasalah la order teh panas or something like that, tercengat dak caterer tuh... "erm...bang...takde bang".

Kan naya je kena gelak ngan kita semua. Oh well, you learn something new everyday, so don't sweat it.

Dalam borak punya borak, the table got more cramped because more and more people joined us eventually, leading to more gossip and news and such being thrown about.

Teong Hin joined us... cause tuan director pun sempat curi tulang jap. So did Osman Ali yang mai lawat kawan kawan jua on location.

Two very talented directors selain Yasmin Ahmad yang aku memang salute abih!

Dalam kami borak tuh, we heard this screeching sound, of a car tengah emergency brake. This was immediately followed by a dull thud of a crashing sound yang memang very the horrific ala ala sound effect filem Sivaji The Boss (pepandai je kan padahal bukan layan pon).

My instinct masa dengar the screeching was to look up, and I saw this taxi yand Wira, being slammed from the back by this yellow Kelisa.

Yang pelik nya, mamat cab ni lak lari!! Kalao ikutkan Kelisa ni salah, so walaupon tak feeling nak soal siasat mamat Kelisa tuh yang dibantu krew produksi yang baik hati (seb baik dia ok cuma shocked je), aku dapat deduce yang mamat cab tuh main cilok gila gla atau dia memang takde lesen ke haper tamau berhenti. Amik ko... dok kat film set dapat tengok babak action pree.

It was getting really late, and I could feel myself getting spaced out, so decided to call it a night shortly.

Gawd... really kan. The older you get, the more messed up your biological clock becomes! Kalau dulu cukup ler tidur sejam dua semalam, skang aku perasan lapan jam pun tak cukup. Haiyo...
Adakah ni faktor umur ke? Damn getting old!!!

Ok...gotta go now... grandpa has to go beddy bye cause it's way past my bed time (gituhhhh!!!)
