Besties day out

My schedule these days is actually worse than before when I was working full time.

Now, in between running my own projects for my company, as well as taking care of Amir's career which is picking up momentum... and some other side projects, I rarely have time to chill. 

Yesterday finally had time to catch up with my best friend, and little sister - Faz. Mulalah dengan sesi makan... accompanied by a friend of ours. Gitu!

Pas abih melantak and sesi borak, it was just the two of us jalan-jalan. Miss Thang who has been busy herself lately, decided to take in some shopping, so aku jadilah peneman yang setia as always.

And of course, knowing her... tempt wajib - Chanel.

Now, I'm one of those who can appreciate (though not necessarily afford) the finer things in life. And Chanel undoubtedly is one of my loved labels... but the prices... oh my.

This was one jacket I grabbed off the discount rack in the VIP room. Softest leather you can get... back-baring short length jacket. Gorgeous. Faz had to put it on for me of course, since obviously it was a ladies' jacket and all (plus I don't think they have it anywhere near my size).

Tengok harga rasa nak pitam... lepas diskaun berapa puluh peratus pun, cukup nak bayar separuh kereta. Matilah ko!

And that's why they call it window shopping. Because I'll only be looking from outside of one in stores like these. 

After lepak session followed baby sis to the car temankan. Damn... someone left flowers - and a card. So romantic!!!

iPad fashion

Ok.. before the next week starts, ni entry bagi leleh air liur. For those yang either ada iPad, atau memang fashionista je la... sebab pas iPad ni kuar je, almost all the major designers have come out with iPad covers.

Prices in US dollars. Since conversion is about three times korang pepandai la kira berapa harga ek.

Paling aku berkenan, is of course my fave label, Gucci! Between USD$230 to USD$290. I like! Mintak-mintak ada yang akan dapatkan tuk aku. Da kirim pon.

Next up are the Oscar de la Renta ones, which retail I think for about USD$290. Simple and nice but so not my thing.

For USD$390 are... the Louis Vuitton cases....
And the Oscar de la Renta python selections. Nice!!!
For USD$395, you can get a Salvotore Ferragamo in canvas.

For USD$475 (about the same price as an iPad itself) is the Burberry in striking yellow!
At USD$490 are the selections from Tods. Too old for me and somehow, just doesn't ring my bell.

The Dior Homme iPad case comes in black, and silver - for USD$700. Ouch. But I like the design. Go online and look for more pics. Nice on the inside too.

The YSL at USD$795 is nice too. Classic!
But the most expensive iPad case? At a whopping USD$1555, costing three times an iPad itself, it the quilted Chanel case. Gorgeous! But definitely only for fashionistas with money to burn.
So far if you think all of these are ridiculous - away from iPad cases itself, how about a Swarovski encrusted iPad for USD$2250 for about 6000 Swarovski crystals adorning your iPad. Nice - but ouch! A little too bling, so flashy and over the top.

The price apparently is for a 32gb model.

So hoping I'll get my Gucci one. Can't wait. I PROMISE it'll be the last thing I buy (I think I sumpah too many times da tak laku da_

Eh...

Mai kita wat test tuk segala fashionistas out there. What shoes are these? I mean label ok... kalao ko pandai soal kasut, skali tengok pon da tau. And soalan kedua, sapa yang pakai?

Jawapan at the end of this entry. Malam tadi gi Anugerah Stail EH!. Sebenarnya ada hal kat Subang nak jumpa someone... (angau sat). Tapi alang-alang singgah sebab kengkawan kat sana. So sempat la snappy-snappy sikit.

Ni masa Cat dok tayang baby baru dia kat Fafau. Tapi memang cute anak dia.

Aku snappy Nazril cause I love his shirt! Cantik gila...it's got like this propped collar. Tak silap aku Sazzy belikan masa kat Sydney or something. I like the shirt... nak carik gak!

Sempat snap kengkawan yang rajin meng-Twitter-kan diri, si Schawalina. Otherwise known as Scha, Awal dan manager Awal, si Lina. Matilah feeling Brangelina katanya aku nak pandai pandai gabungkan nama.

Here are the winners. Aku tak amik pot cause some of the keputusan kelakar. I mean we're talking about STYLE here, right? But takpe.. majlis orang.

Congrats pada Pak Nil, Nash dan Sazzy, Awal and Faz. And the rest of the winners too.

Pengacara malam tuh, si Leya. I think Leya looks cute... masih maintain. Maapkan flash aku kasar ek. Matilah aku kalao Leya tau aku upload pic ni. Heh... pakai handphone snappy je nok.

Farhan has slimmed down so much, it's nice to see dia d banyak perubahan lately. I like!

Ok ok... they mystery of the shoes. Let's answer it now.

The answer?

Well, for me, masa aku nampak, visually my first answer was Louboutin. Second was Chanel (though tak penah nampak Chanel ala pony hair)

And true enough, my guess was right. They're Christian Louboutin. Suka sangat tekstur berbulu gituh. And high! Heels, the way it should be made - high.

Sempat tuh aku nak snappy katanya. Sebenarnya tukang pakai masa kena interview tak larat nak pakai da. Mana taknya, kasut camni five minute heels jek tapi dia kena pakai semalaman sebab asik kena photograph.

So did you get who the artiste was?

Tuh dia... Faz. Sesuwai menang style award, very fitting.

Tapi selain kasut kan... ni aku paling suka.

Shout!

Damn! I slept at only 6am this morning, and bangun kol 5 petang! Amik ko! Sebelas jam hibernasi!

Semalam gi Shout!. Erm... it was ok. Too loud - and no, I'm not too old. I've been to all the MTV Awards (except the last one) and survived concerts like Avril and Slipknot, and even Westlife, so I doubt I'm past screaming crowds or audio systems pumping inhuman levels of sound.

But ada je yag tak kena. It was good, and also bad. How do you describe it... Just definitely not worth having to go through the jam with the Manchester United training going on next door.




It's like a great performance for Jac, baru nak emo in rememberance of Michael, and then you had Reefa bounce out disrupting the whole feel of things. Like... WTF???!!!

It was like everyone buying into the hype of Bunkface (respect to them - idop budak Klang... orang kampung aku tuh!) but turning zombified masa Estranged put on one of the best performances of the night.

Basically - a potentially good event, but riddled with many WTF moments.

Pesawat were the real hit of the night, but kenapa la ada orang lonjat lonjat jerit jerit sebelom tuh. Tak perlu sangat!

Tak bother sangat. In fact, caught the show, while spending a lot of time with Gaya, Afdlin and Mamat Khalid and their wives apart from other friends who were left blurred out by a lot of what went on that night.

In fact had more fun when Upin and Ipin menang award... boleh? One of the highlights for sure?



Sean Kingston? Overrated, oversweaty, overmiming and just plain overweight. Period. Nyanyi pon tak setakat YEAHHH YEAHHH and uhmmm... and one or two more lines on top of the CD. Bosan nak mampos! So much for the closing act.

Sapa agik yang ok ek. The performers worthy of a mention were Bunkface, Nikki (though Shila was a WTF moment), One Buck Short, Joe Flizzow.. and a few more. Caprice and a few others would do good to learn how not to just randomly shout into a mic. Oh well...

The crowd? Let's not even go there.

Layan je la pics. By the way, if you guys dulu ada baca pasal these Chanel gun heels I so loved (and convinced Faz to get them, here she is wearing them to the first public event in Malaysia they've been seen in. Don't know if she's the first person in the country to have these shoes, but berani cakap she is the first to have them in all three colours, epecially these black and whites.

PPS - Dapat berita dari Syuib on the World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles. Malaysians masih teruskan saingan dalam final. Dilla, Wilson and Iza made it to the finals of all the modelling categories, while Artistana Group made it to the finals of the dance category.

In vocals, Bob, Sarah Raisuddin, Hasmidar made it into one solo, and two duet categories for the finals. More info as news comes in. Malaysia boleh! KEPITA boleh! Heh!

Ooh aah Chanel!

Ni entry lari topik sikit. Well not really cause me like fashion loads though I'm not exactly all that on the ball.

Remember aku pernah post about Faz wearing a Chanel ankle purse? Well, that was Karl Lagerfeld's tribute of sorts to Eve and Lindsay Lohan's alcohol monitoring bracelets.

Last year at the Chanel Cruise collection show in Miami, Lagerfeld previewed heels - with guns.

Gun jewelry has always been in the market, but never with heels.

Inspired however, Lagerfeld used guns as inspiration for Chanel's Cruise 2009 collection, with help from Chanel's shoe designer Laurence Decade, who made it into a heel. And of course, towards the end of last year, one of the first to be seen wearing it off the catwalk, was Madonna.

And now word is, Chanel in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore have just stocked the gun heels in very, very limited quantities.

Faz and I spent the whole day gabbing about the shoes and whether it's worth shelling out RM7,000 plus for those heels - but mostly on how gorgeous the silver ones are.

Actually, those gimmicky heels are not the first. Balenciaga made a mark on fashion history with their 'Lego' shoes. Dengan harga berbelas ribu Ringgit, the shoes were favourites for the Fall 2007 season.



After the gun heels, there's one more Chanel creation, which actually borders on the tacky side - depending I suppose who wears them.

These are the lighbulb shoes.

A definite novelty/statement shoe, these come with a battery so the bulb will actually light up. Why would you want your heels to light up.

Matilah kan jalan red carpet with your own lighting. But dunno when the lightbulbs are going to be available in this region.
