Nasty!

Sent my sis to Setiawangsa earlier today cause she's heading back to Jakarta tomorrow. Am so going to miss her, but she'll be back next month, plus her stint there is only extended to March... so hurray.

Settle jer, sayang aku call dari nun jauh. Eh... tetiba sayang lak. Heh.... da orang melamar kita tima je la.

Anyway, aku headed straight to Amcorp Mall in PJ where the New Straits Times Group Gaza fundraiser was being held. Thanks Farihad from Berita Harian for inviting me. Ingat gak ko ngan aku kan...

Didn't do much snapping. Sikit sikit jer la sebab kecoh sangat. The place was packed, cause the venue was pretty small, but semangat artis artis kita. Sayang majority crowd mai nak amik pic artis je bukan nak seriously help the cause. Oh well.. I guess every little bit helps kan.

Spent most of the time borak ngan Faizal - Tahir ler... Faizal mana agik. Exchanged some ideas about a possible project. Also sempat ler exchange words with Lan from Meet Uncle Hussain, Fahrin Ahmad... and lots more.

Heard she made over RM800 in total for the fund on her own, with her personal stuff that she hawked at very affordable prices. Congrats... semangat ksk Mah kita kan. mana taknya... tengok Sarimah in action.




Amik ko!!! Cam nak pukul ngan kasut kalao tak beli je apa dia jual. Heh.

Speaking of Sarimah, dia baru balik dari LA. She bought me some nice souvenirs (well they were nice gifts... but dunno if they count as souvenirs). Please note if you don't understand the joke behind some of these more humorous items, don't ask me to explain ek.

Perkahwinan Asmawi Ani dan Nora'Asikin Rahmat (Felda Taib Andak Part 1)

Since da dapat peluang berehat berapa hari nih, kepeningan berterusan lak ngan kena ke Kulai tuk persandingan Mawi dan Ekin belah laki lak.

Since semalam dapat meeting yang membuahkan hasil tuk one or two projects yang God willing akan membuahkan hasil, can do it happily, having been rested enough.

Aku lepas KL about noon. Thanks to some unexplainable traffic situation, sampai Senai where staying dalam 6 petang. At least my room at the Sofitel Palm Resort was on the ground floor, and my balcony siap berdepan ngan pool. Good room views always make things better.

Dapat rehat for about half hour je da on the go nak attend the Gempak Rewang. Kumpul ngan kengkawan semua to leave by bus. Ye lah... anticipated da jalan sesak nak masuk Taib Andak, so this was the easier way. Dalam kami nak berlepas, Mawi dan Ekin lak sampai balik resort where they were staying too. Meka baru balik dari sana after rehearsal of the night's events.

After a long journey, and siap tukar dari bas ke 'feeder' van to bring us to the venue (jalan kecik so kena naik smaller transport), we finally arrived.

Going to sleep

Believe it or not, baru je nak crawl into bed since last night.

After ended the event, which thankfully went better than we expected after all the horrors that went down, decided to call it an early night. Sort of. Went to grab a bite at the post event, and then mamak kat Cheras ngan Syarol.

Wanted to head back to catch some Zs tapi da ngantuk sangat, sempat sampai kat Shah Alam je, pull over kat a petrol station tidur jap. Matilah kejap katanya, bangun pun da almost 7am! Mak aih... sempat aku tidur dalam hampir empat jam.

Terserlah keletihan akibat tidur a total of tiga jam je in 48 hours.

So how did the show go? Well... I would be biased in any of my comments. But I have to say my favourite performances were the opening act in Datuk Siti Nurhaliza - walaupun Kurik Kundi lagu lama, but it's still a good song plus rindu show dia yang all out camni, and the closing in Ning Baizura with the James Bond theme songs medley.

The Mamma Mia! tribute was decent too, with Zahid, Nita, Dafi and Suki doing better in the show than in the rehearsals.

The other bits were just somewhere between so-so and horrendous.

So that was KLIFF 2008, guys. A bit of drama here and there with a star bringing her entourage (orang luar), presenters yang show up just as the show started and much more events I will not state here.

Still, it was a fun learning experience for me tuk kerja sebalik tabir dalam disiplin yang aku tak penah cuba, so I cherish the experience.

Melodi raya

Semalam gi berbuka Melodi Raya, buat aku batal posa jer. Heh... pandai lak salahkan, padahal sendiri tak tahan.

Ceritanya bermula, last minute baru aku terima pelawaan member nak gi. So I headed for Sunway about kol 6 lebih camtuh. Sampai kejap je.

Tapi akibat orang tertentu yang kurang cerdik memberikan arahan, sampai nama tempat pun tak bagitau, I spent an hour looking for the place.

Mana taknya, bayangkan, memula aku parking kat Sunway Lagoon. Memang lokasi venue tuh kat sana, tapi on the other end, so memang lebih senang kalao masuk melalui Sunway Hotel. So after almost 45 minutes peluh mencari, sampai masuk lorong belakang Sunway Lagoon yang gelap gelita dan horror, aku gi amik kereta dan gerak ke Sunway Hotel lak.

Dari hotel, tak sampai sepuluh minit da cari jalan sendiri ke lokasi. Ceh! Dalam perjalanan stress sangat isap rokok. Lebih kurang time berbuka ler, tapi tatau ler kalao aku batal ke tak. Dah pening pening lalat panas camtuh da tak kira. Seb baik aku ni tak wajib posa. Kalao tak harus dilempang beribu lemon da alasan camtuh, kan?

Sampai je pening bertambah. Mak aih! Ramainya orang!

Ingat memula meka laser kat Melodi mintak artis hanya bak PA seorang sebab takot ramai orang sangat. Konon eksklusif ler. Rupanya... aiyo! Berapa bas mek Ani nih mai nih?

Aku berat nak join the group, tapi seb baik ada geng panggil. Faizal lepak area bilik persediaan nak wat show. So lepak ler borak ngan dia. Dari sana jadik baton race lak. Dari Faizal, borak ngan Jojie dan Ella (orang kampung aku tuh!), Nurul, Jac, Zahid and Nita. Banyak sangat nak catch up.

Event camni ler yang bebetul aku dapat spend time ngan meka.

Faizal cita la pasal isu 90:10 tuh. Aku syukur ada artis muda kita yang ada otak. He pointed out too artis Malaysia patutnya tak takut saingan dan jangan nak harapkan nak sekat orang tuk maju. Usaha, dan juga keyakinan dalam hasil muzik kita sendiri patut ada and you have to keep innovating to survive.

Jojie dan Ella lak, kalao dok ngan aku je cita pasal kampung kita, Klang. Aku kira masih ler dok Klang. Meka je skali skala melawat. So cita la tuh nih, sampai bab aku berubat. Dari sana Zahid masuk ngan Nita. Transfer group member. Syukur adik aku yang oren ni kata nanti dia tanya mama pasal menda ni. Ker sebab nak Nintendo Wii aku je, Zahid? Matilah aku...

But on seeing Zahid dan Nita together aku happy sangat. I think they make a great couple, and aku berharap sangat mereka bertahan sampai ke jinjang pelamin. Dalam aku kenal Zahid berapa tahun, aku berani cakap, this is th happiest I've seen him in a very long time. All the best ok baby bro. Walaopon aku tak bagitau ko, aku bersetuju sangat pilihan hati ko.

Ramai gak ler serempak pastuh. Geng Pelita aku in 6ixth Sense, Irma Hasmie. Let's see Farid Kamil, Noryn Aziz, Fara Fauzana... ramai ler. Tapi pas another hour da lepak, ngan bebudak 6ixth Sense ciao. Nak punch card masuk ofis Pelita lak.

Sebab Stacy call aku petang tadi nak jumpa, aku gerak ke rumah dia. Lepak sat ngan dia. Kos dan Laura dari Stacy FC pun ada. Lepak takleh lama sebab rakan sekerja di Pelita da, so pastuh gerak sana.

Borak, lepak dan sahur.

Tired out. I don't think I'm in the right frama of mind sangat nak enjoy berbuka kat luar. Esok ada dua lagik event berbuka. Tak gi kot... tengok camna.

I think I would prefer to be at home. At least over the weekend. Pastu baru back going about. Be blogging soon.

Clues

Yesterday was another event.... Gawd...there's a string of them this week. And I already have another line of events for next week. Pening siot. Everyday ada jerk.

But bayangkan kalao aku yang keja yang berderet event, camna lah hidup artis time bulan posa nih. Dok kena usung sana sini for event berbuka posa yang neverending for a whole month.

Anyway...hah...ni ada story sikit. I mentioned ada some projects in work, well actually ada dua.

But here's one of them. And here's the clue...

And that's the clue. What do The Fabulous Cats, Ahli Fiqir and Dayang Nurfaizah have in common? Well, apart from being at the rakaman Rumah Terbuka Melodi semalam?

Well, it's not confirmed, but these three names are in the list at the moment for a little project I'm helping out with, and tunggu confirmation subject to dates. Not to mention that several more (Adam and Jac perhaps?), kalao jadik. Kalao nak tau kena tunggu lar ek dalam seminggu dua nih tuk aku confirm.

Until then, I am not going to give away much. The second lagik ler rahsia, so can't even give any clues about that.

Semalam was a weird day. My not too distant past haunted me. First someone who was in my life and decided to disappear, decides to reappear and make like everything was alright. Not angry, just confused... what makes someone think they can do that without explaining themselves or apologising?

And the cheek to blame us on being angry for making like nothing happened. Oh well... time will tell.

Then there's this Dia... whose been b****ing about me ton kingdom come. Oh well... entah lah. For me, it's simply obvious now that there are small minded people about, and I can only do my best to tolerate it.
