So-sial event

Tension tahap gaban aku smalam. Temankan Faz, along with Juan and Ju ke event pelancaran majalan hiburan baru ni. Malas nak sebut event apa la. Tak perlu nak bagik promosi percuma untuk event yang macam $%^&!!!

Yang make my blood go upstairs sangat sebab aku kesian sangat panggil selebriti tempatan nak make the event more meletup gituh, tapi layanan diberikan macam. Erm...

Dahler staff dia tak kenal majority of the local artists, especially the Malay entertainment industry. So ko imagine ler the sort of things that can and did happen. Sakit jiwa kalao aku repeat. Yang dia kenal yang bukan Melayu saja.

Apahal nak wat event camni sebab nak the attention, tapi tetap ignore when you get what you've gotten. So salah ok!

Anyway, seb baik ada ler aku snappy some pics tuk isi masa. Thank goodness ramai gak kengkawan hadir. Walaupun memasing semua muka sentap gak sebab yang ada free flow Stout je. Aiyo... tak sensitif langsung meka. Rupanya someone forgot to mention Coke was an alternative. Matilah...

So ramai terlopong bodoh jer la... lucky sempat isi masa ngan gosip. Merasalah.
Got to chill with Faz, goss ngan Sarimah sebab lama da tak catch up ngan dia, as well as borak panjang ngan Vanessa.

Tapi aku terbodoh gak event tuh sebab aku jumpa someone yang erm... you know when you meet someone yang, I don't know.. just makes you wish there and then ko leh propose to them?

Sempat sembang ngan dia tapi I think I made a fool out of myself sebab nervous. There you go. Interview memacam orang tapi simple conversation ngan someone I fancy leh horror.

Macamana tuh... damn.

Moving on... so here are some pics of friends at the most boring event of the year.

And of course I have to feature Faz, sebab loved the Chanel ankle purse she wore which was like really red, and matched with the red trademark soles of her Christian Louboutin. Check out the second pic to pick up on the Chanel ankle purse. It's so cute! They made their rounds on the catwalk a few seasons ago but if you saw the Nelly music video Stepped On My Js, Ciara ada pakai pon.

One pic I snapped which I liked a lot was Rich and Velvet together. Yes, they're coming out. Tak nak cover cover lagik! Not like we didn't know they were an item, but it was sweet to see them together as one.

And then... Vanessa was with a friend who just arrived fom Japan. For fans of The Amazing Race Asia 2, you'll recognise the Japanese contestant who was up again Van and Pam along with her brother. I think her name's Sawaka. Before anyone asks who's that with Sarimah.. tuh adik dia.

The last pic tuh si Razif Hashim. Remember he was in Gol Dan Gincu. Also Ghost, and movies Goodbye Boys dan yang terbaru Jarum Halus. Also in a couple of theatre productions and last seen in 8TV's Quickie before he quit. Dalam berapa minggu he's heading for London nak pursue his Masters in acting. Good luck Raz!!!

Bangga talents muda kita. Sayang old crockpots rule the business when young promising talents like this overlooked.

Popped!

Sebab tak kuasa nak drive sendiri, kerana tak sempat nak servis keta, aku siang semalam tumpang keluarga Maestro naik ke Genting Highlands for Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian.

So dropped by car kat office in Bangsar, and then was picked up by Syed, Marina, Nadia dan Marsha. Lama tak borak ngan Marsha, so had fun lor borak borak panjang catch up. Matilah conversation pasal sugar glider aku!

Sebab terlampau mengantuk, akibat lack of sleep, air con kuat dan ujan lebat yang lagik besh nak feel tido, aku pun doze off (banyak alsan nak membadak.. heh!). Matilah sedar sedar je da sampai Genting. We immediately went to check in.

Serempak ngan Dynas dan laki. Matila takot je aku kena carot miss wedding dia arituh sebab Sunburst and then konsert pertama arituh. Heh... tak sempat snappy sebab bag semua kan.
Also bumped into Aznil and gang.

Anyway, moved on to registration and met Linda there nak check in gak. Merasalah da make up siap by 3pm! Kisahnya time ABP nih kan make up artist meriah keja, sampai multiple jobs. Linda tanak any rushing so dia make up dari KL. Matilah pakai make up berapa jam. That can't be good for your skin, girl.



Checked in, went shopping awhile, and then headed for a bite sebelum balik ke bilik to relax jap.By eight, skali ngan Juan ke Arena of Stars. Aku malas nak dok atas sebab nak keja kena interview pelbagai, so ke backstage jerk.

Tengok show pun dari side, jer sebab kejap kejap je nak interview semua yang menang.Bob's show was the best! Anuar, Atilia, Siti dan Ning pun ok. Meet Uncle Uncle Hussein rocked the house! Yang lain erm... bolehlah...Anyway, ni some pics I took.

Finished the event je gi Starbucks gi layan story nak send. Tak join post party kali nih sebab tak kuasa nak bersesak. Ramai sangat orang kali ni.

Had a bite, and were joined by friends in Syed, Nik, Mahen and Juan. Si Adam popped by with his friends, and then Iqram. Went to bed finally past 4am.

By 9 am, left Genting. Terus pegi office.

Dropped by Astro, then singgah beli cage with Halim for glider dia, si Jizelle.

Ada keja nak settle sikit plus ada farewell. Not really for me... sebab aku technically da leave but like I said earlier I'll still be doing my columns and stuff so will be around.

But sedih gak sparuh geng aku nak ke New Straits Times, while sparuh lagi there, and some leaing permanently.

Pas abih makan makan tuh, Halim ikut ke rumah Bangsar amik Jizelle. Kecian Joey, anak glider aku tuh keseorangan malam nih.

Sebab da layan Diari time tuh, wat ulasam terus lor.

Diari hari pertama minggu ketiga. Boring intro in cutesy speech (at least I think it's supposed to be) from Ika. Mesti ada tenaga produksi merembes ngan dia kan bagi send off camnih. Matilah!!! Jangan nangis skali dalam nak pujuk. Untuk digelakkan meka yang dengar statement tenaga produksi senior sorang nih je di sebalik pentas.

Aku turn off myelf for the sake of not torturing myself when they showed flashbacks of Ika. Seriously painful.

Nak shopping kat sana pun ngan sponsor pun agak agak la, sampai nak tunjuk briefing pelagai ngan tuh. No wonder la meka ni tak improve improve nak bak endorse sponsors.

I have no idea why they tried to make the Diari into a f*cking infomercial lak. Or why they tried to make going to Carrefour shopping such an experience kononnya. Eew!

Alamak.. da masuk da chef dari Adabi nak tolong meka shopping. Matilah katanya dia ni most unnecessary regular feature on Akademi Fantasia.

Matilah sponsor RM1,500 tapi bil da lebih! One bill da RM1,600 dan satu lagik bil RM2,000. Erm... lebih jimat katanya kat Carrefour.

Ala.... kelas memasak da lak nak promosi Asam Jawa Xtra. Matilah ko! Tak perlu sangat!!!

Matilah untungnya "dia sour tapi tak masam" kata si chef. Kelas memasak lak.. *sigh*... entahlah apa nak jadi dengan Akademi Fantasia nih.

Aduh... it gets worse today. Si Toi playing retarded nak main jadi Transformers. Pathetic. By the way has anyone noticed tak yang sora sebalik kamera asik tukar karekter jer? Come on la.. kalao nak sangat ada benda tuh, bagi la konti sikit pun. Cam Diari Raja Lawak lak. Sesuai la yang pegang tuh pengalaman sana kan... walaupun sekejap jerk.

The motivational session with kak Fati or dramatising the lyrics to Menuju Puncak was so whacked, after the insult by these kids for not singing the theme song last Saturday night. Tambah nyampah they don't understand the significance or respect the institution of the show.

Alamak... gimik murahan lak! Melompat agik la AFUNDI Stanly walaupun merapu dia nyanyi ngan tunjukkan family dia pasal his mom (ibu kandung ke emak angkat dia nih ek?) yang admitted twice, and pasal menangis rindu Stanly. Mendadak la naik AFUNDI lagi pasni atas drama pasni walaupun performance nan ado.

Pastu dapat phone call lak. Matilahhhhhh!!!! Ni Bersamamu versi Astro ke? Sama jerk. Pas mengundang simpati, SMS la puas puas ek.

Matilah last scene, tunjuk persiapan tuk konsert mas kat rehearsal on Friday night beriya si AC tegur, "Kalao korang kena feel, bawah tak feel, so korang lakon korang feel.. tu jer".

Can he take his own advice? Sebab he sucks big time.

Tunjuk si Stacy konon flirting ngan Nubhan. I don't know as much as I love Stacy, bagik mencik character dia lak tengok dia menggedik tak hengat. Lagi mencik Nubhan sebab dia nampak cam jantan feek lebih lak. I think some people have no idea what cute is, and they actually think this is cute that's why they showing it.

Enough la with the nak couple kan orang nih. Pastu kuar kang terkenal kerana gosip murahan.

Si badut Toi nya birthday, so meka celebrate, perlu ke wifey punya birthday card pun nak baca pada semua orang.

Erm meka bak angklung dia dalam Diari, where dia perform Umbrella for them. So interesting..... eh? Lum abih ek? Sori terlelap.

Ramli tegur meka tapi edited lak. Kenapa? Linda nampak cam nak nangis da. But agree with her that it shows that meka tak kisah pasal the overall show but their individual performance.
Bagus la meka ditegur semua tak hormat lagu tuh.
Merasalah after six for ten minutes kena wat the routine.

Saida - dipuji for her effort, but it's true that she has a lot to catch up on sebab dia start off slow. Kisahnya dia two concerts behind.
Nubhan - pun dikata two concerts behind.
Riz - jaguh kampung sebab kat Akademi je elok performance.
Stanly - paling padat pengetahuna bab muzik tapi ampeh dua performance.
Meka semua diminta pilih dua lagu yang meka tau to prepare to perform di pentas terbuka, mungkin di ruang legar kat Pavilion. Extra work hopefully for them to improve.
Stacy dapat hadiah for her performance and for her hard work. hadiah dia dapat a single. Amik ko!

She deserves it.

Alif - Kamelia (Sweet Charity)
Strong song for a not so strong performer. Peluang nak shine, tapi mampu ke dia? Doubtul... miracles do happen but I doubt he can pull it off.

Faisal - Sentuhan Kecundang (Ekamatra)
Lagu sedap tapi outcome tatau lak camna. Minggu lepas pun hancur performance dia kali nih lak camna. Susah nak cakap it's a challenge because for him everything is a challenge. Dia ni leh geng ngan Ika.

Naim - Opera Hidup (Wings)
Walaupun minggu rock ni lebih to the boys advantage, I have a feeling none of the boys will rise to the challenge and that the girls will rock it out instead.

Nubhan - Summer of 69 (Bryan Adams)
Within his range, but requires emotion, so don't know if he can conquer the performance aspect yang kena smangat. Plus his control of English suspect lak kan... so minor challenge for him.

Riz - Keunggulan Cinta (BPR)
Matilah dia dapat one of my favourite songs. Simple, straight forward, mampu ke dia yang overdose. Not too challenging, but a little of a challenge.

Stanly - Patahnya Sayap Malam (Massa)
Nak gelak aku tercekik tengok dia dapat lagu nih. Matilah dia nak wat kepit sora dia kali nih kalao dia tanak belajar.

Toi - C.I.N.T.A. (XPDC)
Lagu sesuai ngan character. Corny and weak.

Lufya - Tika Dan Saat Ini (Medicine)
Kalalo dia nak comeback, this is the week for her to do so. Otherwise I see her being eliminated next.
I'm actually hoping for her to be able to carry this song.

Nadia - Total Eclipse of The Heart (Bonnie Tyler)
Another potential showstopper this week. Ngan vocals dia yang kuat, Nadia will have one of the best performances for sure kalao dia leh conquer her overconfidence at times on stage.

Rina - Enter Sandman (Metallica)
Good song, right up her street, and I think this will be one of the best performances of the week ujung minggu nih.

Saida - Sepi Sekuntum Mawar Merah (Ella)
Perfect song choice for her. Mampu ke dia? I'm hoping.

Stacy - Pelesit Kota (Search)
While this may not be her cup of tea, aku yakin Stacy mampu. And she has the balls to jump onstage and conquer it.

Kenapa la ending kena tunjuk Toi main angklung lagik. Aduh... promosi lebihan jer. Ni kalao Akademi Angklung takpe la. Other than that cam nak tolong dia meraih undi jerk.
