Wall of heroes

These are the eight, brave, heroic men who have been killed in defending our country from the bogus Sultan and his bunch of barbaric bastards.

The two on the lower row died in Lahad Datu, and the six were killed in Semporna. 

These men will not have died in vain. We celebrate their name, and cry the tears shared with their families and loved ones in their passing.

Semoga mereka semua ditempatkan dikalangan mereka yang beriman. 

May God bless their souls. 

Am seriously messed up right now thinking how in this day and age, some people can still justify such barbaric actions to storm the homes of others and think they're in a lawless land to demand what they want out of greed.

The Kirams can haul their asses back to wherever they came from. You do not belong in Sabah. Sabah will never belong to you.

Whatever claims you have - if you had even an iota of a chance - you would have gone to the International Court of Justice instead of turning your back on the elected governments of two countries in your desperate greed!

Praise the Lord that Philippine President Benigno Aquino and Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and their respective governments have come out in condemnation of this stupidity.

Am just so angry those barbarians are saying it's about pride and it's a do or die situation.

As mush as I hate violence, maybe death is the best option if they really think that way.

Sabah belongs to the people. And the people don't want them. They are part of Malaysia. 

WE are Malaysia. 

Period.

Transformasi

Ok... so here's what most of you have been waiting for. Ni senarai tenaga pengajar tuk Akadem Fantasia musim ketujuh, or AF7.

Hasridz Murshim Hassim (Acis) - Pengarah Muzik/Guru Muzik
A.Aris A. Kadir - Guru Tari
Ida Nerina - Guru Seni Persembahan
Siti Hajar Ismail - Guru Vokal Teknikal
Fatimah Abu Bakar - Perunding Motivasi dan Bahasa Inggeris
Syafizawati Sharif - Guru Persembahan Vokal

As you can see, almost major change here in the line-up. Half the faculty is new.

Acis of course needs no introduction. A respected musician (and other handsome half of Datuk Sheila Majid), Acis, bekas ahli kumpulan Gersang da lama berkecimpung dalam dunia muzik, and is recognised for his work - whether behind the many albums that bear his name, ataupun heading things behind the scene when it comes to production of live shows for the biggest names.

Kira memang layak la Acis ni. Not to mention apart from the guaranteed quality behind his name, the ladies (and some men too) will love him for being great eye candy as well on TV. How can you beat that?

Siti Hajar, kak Fati and Syafie are without a doubt, household names bila masuk bab branding Akademi Fantasia, so no arguments there too.

Ida Nerina's entrance into Akademi is not really surprising. She's been involved in the audition selections a couple of times now as those yang gi ujibakat will know, and her role as guru drama rasanya is well justified, in tandem with her abilities to dish out the goods. Hope that translates to teaching, which I'm sure will be no problem.

The only real suprise (tak terkejut sangat pon sebab da dapat info bocor awal awal like every year) was the inclusion of A.Aris A. Kadir sebagai the choreographer this time around, replacing the most consistent (in terms of appearance on the show) member of faculty, Linda Jasmine.

While tak ramai may kenal dia nih, dia ni yang aku tau dari Aswara, and has been involved in a lot of theatrical productions. He is also known in his capacity as a choreographer, so here's keeping fingers crossed that things will pan out well.

Bukan apa... there have been really good members of the faculty before this pun. Good in terms of their experience and knowledge and recognition in their field of expertise. Tapi bab nak translate to syllabus yang kekadang menjadi masaalah sikit. Especially when it's condensed and compacted into a ten week schedule, with students ranging from the 'know nothing' category to the smart alecky sorts.

As the pictures above have kind of given things away, AC and Sarimah Ibrahim are back, reprising their previous roles.

Yeap... AC will again play host for the weekly Konsert and Sarimah is going to be the face of the Diari.

First on AC. Yes, I was damn hard on him last year. But hopefully since he's been given a second chance this time around, he will learn from the mistakes he made in the past. Yes, he did finally point out that the show is about the contestants, not the host. That's a good start.

If he performs better, he can only justify that he is capable of the job. So good luck to AC and hope he uses this time to get a head start on preparations to ease into the role.

Sarimah lak has been successful in bringing out her wacky character in Diari, and I think she's been so underrated about her work on it. Mintak mintak la orang nampak hasil kerja dia, cause I think she's a natural without being obnoxious in front of the camera.

Now the big question.

Sapa pengetua. Semua mintak aku wat speku sapa akan galas tanggungjawab tu. Petang tadi kat sidang media pon nama yang paling panas sudahpun disebut, which is none other than Sheila Majid.

Jadik ke? Tahun lepas pun sebut Tiara, tapi abang Ramli yang comeback kan?

Speaking of which, yes, I know a majority want Ramli back. Personally, so would I. But whoever gets the role, tuk aku it has to be beyond just being a name. It also has to be beyond recognition behind the name. Talent, experience and popularity are all good. But not everyone can teach. And not everyone can delegate AND teach.

Having knowledge is one thing. Knowing how to impart it to the young minds is somethng else altogether.

So here's keeping fingers crossed sapa pon dipilih yang akan sign contract kang (kisahnya ketika sidang media tadik disebut lom ada memana calon menandatangani kontrak sebagai pengetua), will be the best.

The production team kali ni pon revamp and promises something new to Akademi Fantasia, which wille be something to look forward to. Want to know more kena tunggu la.

Anyway, for AF fans, musim bermula 7 Mac Tirai Akademi Fantasia with the second part on 8 haribulan. Diari AF episod pertama akan bermula pada 9 Mac and pembaharuan kali ni ialah Diari akan keudara hanya sekali sehari dengan satu laporan selama sejam. Konsert pertama lak akan ke udara 14 Mac.

Meanwhile selain Diari EXT yang akan keudara hari Jumaat bermula 13 Mac, program baru, Diari INT lak akan keudara tiap Ahad bermula 15 Mac.

Damn... that's a long report. Lotih jari aku menaip. So korang da ready ke nak feeling Transformers katanya (tagline tahun ni menenai transformasi)

Apapun it's still too early to tell where the seventh season is headed. But who cares. It's Akademi Fantasia. You know you're going to get hooked.

A few people have been bugging me to catch it and I just finished the first season. Awesome! Three season marathon to go. Meanwhile in between, catching the latest episode of Heroes too. Damn... and Wednesday it's Idol. I'm swamped just by being a couch potato.

Heroes half asleep...

I am so tired. Today one more round ngan Jue nak tolong send invites, jenguk member media yang lain nak invite for this Friday's event.
Anyway, we sped about KL and then it started to rain towards the late evening. When I saw this. Ok, so you guys know now I love rainbows.

Just maybe.. it's a sign for me. Of something coming. We'll see. This week banyak will be unveiled. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Owh... isn't that pretty


Nothing much to post today. Saja nak update last week, and this week's episode of Heroes yang baru siap download terus aku marathon! Just a recap for fellow Heroes freaks like me. Again, if you haven't been following, don't read! Kang nanti marah aku lak kata spoiler.

Episode 4 - I am Become Death



Suresh gets his panties in a knot over his new powers., even beating up his wife-beating neighbour. Is this how they highlight the dilemma of him abusing his powers?
I would knock that guy out cold if I was him.

Still stupid neighbout extra goes to pay a visit to Suresh later and gets whooped - again.

Tracy meanwhile finds out from Dr Zimmerman that she, and her identical twins, Niki and Barbara were diven powers via DNA manipulation and yes, the process is irreversible.

Niki is 'confused' over her powers and after paying a visit to Nathan, jumps off a bridge to kill herself, only to be saved by Nathan who exposes his power of flight. She in turn, exposes her powers. They then expose themselves to gratiutous sex we're not exposed to. Damn!

Matt gets a look into the future, thanks so some gunk he eats and the awesome Heroes soundtrack over the headphones, goes all white-eyed and sees into the future.

Also four years in the future, present Peter, taken by his future self, sees that everyone has powers, with people flying about. Apparently people zooming about with powers, are those who have taken on abilities with just an injection.

Future self says present Peter has to stop the person making the abilities.serum. He also says present Peter has to get to Sylar and get his abilities to avoid making mistakes. Whatever that means.

Present Peter wants to see Nathan, Claire and Suresh - but future self says they're not the same folks. "Not all of us were born with abilities, some of us were made" and sides had to be chosen, which inspires the discussion - we know that Suresh injected himself with his DIY formula - but does that mean Claire and Nathan too were 'created'?
Claire appears and shoots future Peter while the present one gets away.

Claire brings dead future Peter another spot. Daphne and Knox are there, so obviously in the future, they belong in the same faction. Confusing eh? Laying the foundation for grander storylines.

Anyway, Claire wants to use Molly to locate Peter who has gone to see future Suresh who has turned into some gooey, slimy creature with extremely bad skin.

Future Peter wants to visit Sylar and through some mind reading, gets the directions from Suresh.

He pays a visit to Sylar - in Costa Verde! In the Bennets' house! Where Sylar is making waffles!!! With his 'son'!!! Named Noah!!!!!! What the...

Sylar lets out they're brothers. Peter wants Sylar's abilities, which the latter warns him not to absorb as the ability of understanding how things work also comes with a hunger, to kill.

I wish I had the ability at this point - so I can answer the question who the hell had Sylar's baby!

Anyway - Sylar asks peter to fix that broken watch - and that surprise surprise gives Peter the power!

Meanwhile, Daphne goes back to - Matt!!!! They've had a baby together in the future, and Molly is their adopted child kind of thing. Matt finally allows Daphne to use Molly to locate Peter.

Daphne, Knox and Claire move in. A scuffle breaks out. Strangely enough, both Peter and Sylar have the ability to freeze time which should solve a lot of problems but they end up in a bar room fist fight.

Noah gets splattered - and Sylar goes ballistic before blowing up!

Future Nathan and Niki meanwhile - as the President and first lady calls the crater formerly known as the former Costa Verde the greatest American tragedy - they always like to top themselves.

Present Peter gets into S&M mode and starts cutting up Peter, when Nathan drops by. Fuelled by the hunger from Sylar's abilities, Peter cuts up Nathan! Woohoo!

He goes to the present and confronts Sylar.

While Knox is believed to be dead, Daphne appears to the doorstep saying she wasn't fast enough with half of her back all yucky like Suresh.

And Matt in the present isn't too happy with things.

Hiro meanwhile is stuck with Ando in Level 2, and while both of them have that endless tiff about the you the hero, me the sidekick issue (this is as boring as the season two Claire and West sh*t)

The Haitian pops up and the plan is off.

The Haitian takes Hiro and Ando to meet Angela, and they're tasked with getting the formula back.

So what do they do? They release the Kensei - or Adam.

Suresh is going through his stupid Spiderman into Venom dilemma, and that's coming between hot sex between him and Maya

Episode 5 - Angels And Monsters




Suresh kicks off the week's action by getting another victim - to do whatever is is we're not shown.

Or actually we are, as he continues to play Spiderman, by putting his victims in some sort of strange webbing for whatever.

In the end, Maya discovers Suresh's weird fetish for wrapping people in webbing, and becomes part of his collection too.

Peter meanwhile is pissed and breaks Sylar's neck when he discovers they're brothers.

He confronts Angela who shows up and begins cutting her up before Sylar steps in,

Noah meanwhile calls Sylar for another duty - to recapture another Level 5 escapee.

Tracy and Nathan pay a visit to Angela, and they both find out, as confirmed on Tracy's side, and suspected on Nathan's side, that they're made - not born with abilities.

Meredith meanwhile goes to Claire's rescue but she barks up the wrong tree by visiting the Eric Doyle character and succumbs to his power.

Claire in actuality is paying a visit to bug zap Steven Canfield.

Noah and Sylar pop up. Claire and Steven have talked things out - but Steven escapes when the captors are hot on his tracks.

When they track him down, Noah cuts a deal. Open up a black hole and suck in Sylar and be released or else. Steven decides he won't be a monster - and earn more as a glorified extra for the show - so he opens up a black hole that sucks himself in.

Hiro and Ando meanwhile screw up - again which results in Adam escaping.

Daphne and Knox want to recruit Hiro for Pinehearst, on condition he kill Ando - so he stabs Ando with a sword. Bet you Ando's coming back in some boring time warp way next week.

That is until Knox captures him.

Finally, Angela revisits the future which she can dream up - and sees Nathan, Tracy and Peter dead.

The mysterious character stop her by freezing her unable to move!

And just who is the mysterious person?

We're shown this through Matt's dad, the mind reading guy who visits this dude all hooked up on tubes.

He tells of how the team is coming together nicely. And we discover Linderman's appearance is all the work of him, including the recruitment of Daphne.

And the person? He addrsses as? Mr Petrelli. Oopsies! The old man not dead and is the actual menace! Very Dallas and Dynasty kan? To keep it all in the family...

Heroes! Lots of it too!

Ok, first of all, be prepared for total geekiness. I am about to be excited by something that is not very exciting. Yes, if you are not turned on with anything with wires or USB ports, this is NOT your thing.

Semalam actually didn't do much, apart from picking up my sis in Ampang, heading back home to have lunch with the folks, and then later going for a bout of shopping with her for some small stuff she needed to bring along and then on to KLIA to catch her flight to Jakarta.

But she passed something to me, which I thought was so sweet because I been thinking about getting it but haven't. Lo and behold, worship at my feet, oh geeks!




If you're going like... what the #$%^!!!!, don't blame me! You were warned. Yes, it's my new portable external hard drive! Yeay! More memory space! My 160GB is already packed full with music, work and especially lots of movies and complete or near complete seasons of Pussycat Dolls Presents, America's Next Top Model, Project Runway as well as all my magic tutorials, so wanted to get another one. Didn't aim for a 250GB though it sounded enticing, but sis got the Maxtor one for me for just RM250!

Yeay! Hurrahs all around!

Ok, so I'm not going to post anything lengthy because me wanna transfer some stuff about. So I'll leave you guys with the recaps of the first three episodes of Heroes which I have wanted to post for ages now. Heroes fans unite!!!!

I'm kind stoked on the new season, because not only is it faster paced, it's also got more colour to it this time, without trying to be too intelligent, and yet having more than enough twists in the plot to make it watchably fun!

Oh nevermind. If you haven't watched the first three episodes, note that too bad if it becomes a spoiler for you ok! You were warned. Also those looking forward to episode four like me, there are some spoilers below, so stop where you should, or risk knowing, or at least having a clue of what is going to happen!

Ok, just a recap.

Episode 1 - The Second Coming


Opens with Claire about to blow Peter (ok that sounded wrong), his brains, people his brains.. out. It's a future setting and apparently Peter says he'll change things by going back.

And he does, solving our mystery of the past season of who shot Nathan. Future Peter did! Apparently to stop him exposing those with powers.

But since he's one of the hotter ones in the series, Nathan lives, believed to be because of Claire's powers, which were absorbed by Peter, and passed on through blood transfusion. A little too Falcon Crest? Oh well...

Meanwhile Matt is sent to a desert like plain by Peter when he discovers Peter responsible for the shooting.

Peter goes back to kick Nathan's ass and finish the job, still he decides otherwise when Nathan sees thelight and decides not to blow the whistle on their existence.

He bumps into Angela who asks what happened to the real Peter, and turns out, he's been put into the body of an inmate in Level 5 - a high security prison for those with powers.

Meanwhile, Nathan gets a visit from Linderman, though it's anyone's guess whether he's real or not.

Hiro meanwhile has taken over his father's company and is left in a will of a great secret to guard. It's a formula, or at least half of it.

He however loses it immediately to the first new 'hero' we meet, which is a blonde speedster.

A trip to the future later, Hiro sees mass destruction and his ass kicked by Ando who has Streetfighter's Ken and Ryu meets Mortal Kombat's Raiden's ability to shoot lightning bolts!

Suresh comes across a startling discovery on how adrenaline has something to do with activation of one's powers. Which leads to discovery that he can come up with something to give people powers. Which is not something Maya is looking forward to. Though the possible sex sound tempting, I guess.

He injects himself with the new stuff and goes through a Spiderman meets Venom transformation and has new found powers of amazing strength and agility. Spiderman? Yes, Spidey is now reincarnated as an Asian. Too Spidey! Already think Suresh is boring, being Spidey doesn't make him more interesting...

Sylar meanwhile pays a visit to Claire. He cuts her open, but of course she can't die. We find that she lost all sense of pain.

Instead of sucking out Claire's noggin, when she asks if he's going to do it, Sylar merely picks at it and comes out with the best line of the series with, "Eat your brain? Claire, that's disgusting!"

So he is now immortal too. And when Claire asks why he won't kill her, he replies the obvious that she can't die.

Meanwhile, Niki is back. No, not Niki Saunders, but another doppleganger in Tracy Strauss who is the Governer of New York's aide or something.

A new symbol appears with the helix now bright orange, running though Earth.

Episode 2 - The Butterfly Effect



Claire is all emo because she can't feel pain anymore because she thinks it makes her feel less human. So much so she throws herself in front of a moving train.

Angela sees Hiro stabbed with the sword, Matt with his throat slit, Knox killing Claire (you'll know who he is later - and she's beheaded which is the only way she can die), Noah and Peter dead as well. Angela is then confronted by Niki (or one of her many alter egos), what's the name of that dude - Matt's bad ass dad, Adam and Knox before she Sylar comes to her, presumably on her side.

It's some some of dream. She meets future Peter and tells him not to screw with the future. The butterfly effect, she mentions - step on a butterfly today, three years from now, a million people are wiped out.

Maya walks in on Suresh who shows off his new power, which includes getting horny, something not thought possible before this. And with a personality too! Yes, that does sound impossible doesn't it.

Anyway, it's not just powers that make him Spiderman like. He gets all this yucky boils and his body starts peeling with gunky chunks. Eew!

A reporter approaches Tracy and reveals her 'past' as Niki which she has no clue of.
On the second time, she grabs him and discovers she's got Mr Freeze powers! We always knew Ali Larter was a cold b***h so about time she got powers suited to her personality, despite the new personality not quite her.

She meanwhile approaches Nathan, and offers him a spot as a junior senator.
Hiro and Andi meanwhile travel to Daphne's apartment. She gets away again but not before he manages to plant a tracker on her.

Elle meanwhile is having daddy issues. When she finds out Sylar's in the building and her dad's dead, all hell breaks loose on Level 5.

Sylar is about to cut her open when her powers blows up in Sylar's face, letting loose some of the Level 5 inmates located in Primatech.

Angela Petrelli takes over as head of the Company. Sylar's in the slammer and Noah's gone, as are the inmates.

Noah goes back and tells Claire he has to track down the baddies, and leaves his family in the care of Meredith Gordon. Remember her? Claire's biological mother, who has the ability to cal up fire.

Matt wakes up to a speaking turtle or so he thinks. He meets his new friend.

A mention of Britney Spears later, he discovers he's in Africa.

He asks for a cell phone in a build up for a partner promo.
"No service here. Should have gone with Sprint!"
Ah... commercialism be thy name.

So he embarks on a 'spirit walk'.

The real Peter meanwhile is rolling with the juiced up hoodies and causing mayhem.

In the last scene, Angela reveals the biggest shocker of the episode.

That Sylar is also a Petrelli! Yes, Gabriel is the son of Angela, and the brother of Nathan and Peter, and uncle of Claire.

Episode 3 - One Of Us, One Of Them


Things continue with Bridget, who has the power of seeing the history of anything she touches.
Angela apparently has given the first gift to her son, by giving him another power, by allowing her to feed on her.

Noah meanwhile approaches Angela, to help put the inmates back behind bars.
The Haitian is unavailable - on assignment for Angela, and according to Noah it's the rule - one of us, one of them. Ah.. hence the title.

So the one of them in mind, is actually... Sylar!

Angela goes against Sylar's own belief he's just a killer and convinces him that he's more capable than that.

Present Peter in the body of Jesse, along with The German, Knox and Flint, pull their first job post Level 5 at a bank where we get a first taste of all their powers.

Why'd they have to kill of Jesse so fast?


Knox calls the police because he wants the Company recruits to show up to exact revenge. He kills the German (fastest death in Heroes history?).

Knox discovers Peter in Jesse.
Noah moves in alone, insisting Sylar stays back.
Noah is caught in a hopeless situation, especially when as present Peter unleashes Jesse's power, future Peter freezes time and pulls him out of Jesse's body.

When all of them recover - Noah's in deep s**t as Peter's out of Jesse.
Sylar comes to the rescue though. Flint is shot by Noah, while Sylar gives in to his urge for brains by killing Jesse and has sushi brains for lunch. So bye bye Jesse too.

Hiro and Ando track the speedster whom Hiro calls Nemesis. Her name's actually Daphne, and she's intercepting the exchange of another half of the formula in Berlin after selling off the half belonging to Hiro.

They discover their powers gone, and Hiro spots the Haitian which he has come across before, and suspects of pulling the deal for the other half of the formula.

They manage to grab it off the Haitian, but Daphne again, outwits them. Not too much of a task there.

Claire is meanwhile having issues with both her mothers.

And both are trying to get her off playing superhero, which doesn't work because she makes off with a box of Primatech documents.

Tracy meanwhile approaches Nathan, and says she wants to track down Niki to New Orleans.

She does. Niki's in a casket, having died from the fire (strange that there be no marks).She meets Micah, who immediately knows it's not Niki and loses hope of appearing in more episodes.
He helps her discover the link between Tracy and Nikki - both of them were born on the same day, in the same hospital with the same attending doctor present - Dr Zimmerman.

She pays him a visit - and the whole thing closes with his statement that, "I created you".

Matt gets a browse through of the art works of the African dude, which is everything off a stalker's dream - every single bit of Matt's life etched on the walls.

Except while the past is fine, the present has been erased. Turns out spooky African dude has Isaac Mendez like abilities to paint the future - complete with same cool pupil-less eyes.
Matt goes in the same trance with some help which assumably is for him to see what's going to happen.

Angela meanwhile still has faith in Sylar, while Noah and the Haitain reunite as Flint returns to Level 5 along with Hiro and Ando placed in the facility.

Episode 4 titled I Am Become Death will be available most probably by Tuesday.But if you have been following Heroes all this while and want some insight into what wil happen in the next few episodes (5- Angels And Monsters, 6 - Dying Of The Light), here are some SPOILERS below.

*SPOILERS*

-We'll get to learn the terrible truth about Sylar's secret past. If there's indeed anything more to Learn apart from being Angela Petrelli's other son. Perhaps?

- There'll be a Justice League-style battle between good and evil.We can already see that happening now, but it's supposed to be big time.

- We'll get to meet as many as a dozen new super-powered people. So far we've seen a handful, so it should be pretty interesting.

- Apart from the return of Linderman who was killed, and Claire's real mum returning, expect also to come back - Adam Munro or Takezo Kensei, and Niki Sanders. How the hell does Niki return when she's dead??? Cloning? With so many hers running around, not impossible.

- Hiro and Ando will be the one to return Kensei as they dig him out of the grave he's buried in.

- Suresh and Maya are obviously headed for a shag, but it doesn't end well.

- Seven of the 12 villains that will be unleashed from The Company’s Level 5 that will come into play are The German (can manipulate steel - killed last week), Eric Doyle (a puppeteer who can make people do his bidding), Benjamin “Knox” Washington (gains strength by feeding of fear of those around him - recaptured), Flint (can shoot blue fire from his hands - recaptured), Jesse Murphy (can project concussive power through use of his voice - got his brains sucked out by Sylar),Stephen Canfield (can create black holes), and Samedi.

The bad guys


- Matt apparently gets to see the future where now, everyone can fly (so AirAsia)

- Hiro may just ditch Ando who seems to be crossing over to the Dark Side. Ooh! Doyle gets to feature in this episode and Meredith, Claire's mum is the victim.

- There will the introduction of a rival company called Pinehearst Industries which will be joined by Hiro and several others.

- A fifth Niki will be introduced. After Niki, Jessica, Gina and now Tracy Strauss, get ready another one of Dr Zimmerman;s creations.

- Elle and Claire will end up BFF (best friends forever - well sort of) when Elle needs help to sort out herself from overloading her electric charges.

- Remember Molly? Sweet little thing will also return.

- There's be another Heroes romance (hope not as yucky as the Claire and West one)

- Weird alternate reality thing happens when Sylar takes over Bennet household and makes... waffles???!!!

Heroes is back!

It started two weeks ago. But it was worth waiting to watch four hours straight worth of the season three of Heroes!

Had downloaded the premiere party, and also the back to back episodes of the season opener, but kept waiting to watch it one shot for a marathon session of Heroes.

All I can say is, I'm done with the first, am on to the second and third now, and the only thing I can say is... OH MY GOD!!!!

Volume three dubbed Villains... is nothing short of amazing! And I think it'll pick up momentum from where season two lowered down the level a notch.

Won't say anything more! But people die!!! And people come back to life!!! And lots of new characters - including hot bad guys!

Art in all forms

Aku tatau korang perasan ke tak. During Anugerah Juara Lagu, kan ada gambar penyanyi on those big screens.

I don't know exactly what showed up on TV, but it was right behind the stage on those giants screens mounted.

Anyway, had a closer look, sebab masa masuk smalam, dapat door gift ni.

It was a velvety pouch with drawstring, inside ala tarot cards ada gambar penyanyi, tajuk lagu, sebaliknya ada info lagu dan lirik serta pic komposer dan penulis lirik.

Memula tak prasan apa apa pasal the pictures, they looked quite well shot, with quite interesting art design la gak.

Cuma memula timbul tanda tanya, kenapa penyanyi diberikan that spotlight, when traditionally they keep emphasizing that the competition is about the songs, and the real stars of the night are the composers and lyricists.

But didn't bother thinking too much about it, as the tarot-card like bits inside ada lirik, so time lagu yang suka tuh, leh sing a long ala karaoke kalao tak ingat lirik.

Merasalah sementara tuh ada sorang kawan sebelah aku nih, asik touch up lipstick sebab sukakan Loreal dia dapat.

But one weird thing struck me...

I couldn't put my finger on it, so today, while I was fiddling about with the cards when I noticed something really that I couldn't put my finger on.

Pikir punya pikir, when finally, it struck me what had been there all along that I noticed but couldn't identify as to what was so strange about the pictures.

Well, not all the pictures, Just these four.

Korang tengok kalao korang perasan tak anything weird about these pictures and see if you manage to see what I saw from them.

It's not too hard really...

Do you guys see it? No? Ok, it's that little light yang terpancar from their heads. Other pics takde, cuma these four, which I thought was kind of weird. Unintentional maybe, but in traditional Christian artwork, usually such an image is reserved for angels, saints and generally holy figures.

Erm... graphic artist tak pikir the possible sensitivity of the reference ke? Sesuatuh sangat tau. Tak caya? For those of you who don't know what I mean, here are a couple examples of Christian religious artwork.

My sis had told me that Eddie, our tattooist (responsible for the beautiful works of many tattooes, including the one on the left, on my left arm - still unfinished) that he was taking three months off to LA.

So anyway tengah layan the program tuh, ada ad for the new program (da masuk musim kedua in the US), titled LA Ink, starring Kat Von D, the sexiest tattoo artist alive, who was once part of Miami Ink (before Ami became such an asshole and kicker her out).

My sis and I started talking about Kat and LA Ink, when she said, Eddie was being invited on the show for its latest season, possibly as a guest tattoo artiste.
Yes, apparently he is in talks and considering to be part of the show.
Wow!

Setanding ngan the Japanese style as well as well as the Maori tribals.

In fact, ramai orang putih aku perasan ada ramai omputeh yang sporting tattoo bunga terung tuh, as well as other tribal references to the traditional Iban and Orang Ulu designs.
So kalao Eddie jadik masuk program tuh, memang bangga la sebab tattooes are a form of art, and Eddie is one helluva artist and is already known - and it would be great if he could get on TV.

Yeay!

That means my tattooes kang jadik even more valuable than they are already. Like my sis said, kalao Eddie jadik masuk program tuh, I can always strip off my skin and sell it to some weirdo who wants Eddie's work.

Eeew!!!

But seriously, Eddie, dude!!! I hope you make the LA Ink cast, at least as a guest tattoist.
Lagipon, ramai artis dan celebrities make the LA Ink show, so it would be great to see a Sarawakian, make that a Malaysian, make an international program for peoploe to see his works of art.

Meanwhile, am beginning to watch LA Ink because it is a lot flashier and glitzier than Miami Ink, which is getting pretty tacky with its backstories which are so... erm.. boring and mushy.

Masa nak ciao tuh, my sister gave me this.If you don't know what it is. That my friends, is a greenstone, a jade, tapi bukan jadeite, but a type of jade called nephrite.

It's a pendant measuring about six inches, and is in the form of a mere, or a Moari club.

The mere was used as a thrusting club, particularly to attack the victim's temple or under his ribs. The pounamu ( greenstone) mere has always been highly prized, possibly because of its scarcity and the amount of work required to make it.

And now, I'm wearing a replica (takkan nak wear a real club - though it feels like one cause it is HUGE)

It feels awesome - and I think it's not so much a fashion statement as in something really symbolic to me.

Plus tuk my sis, memang sentimental value (well kind of) sebab ex dia yang belikan. I think it's like worth almost a grand.

Cantik.. suka sangat!

Sorted out my stuff, and hung out until si Juan called me out for a drink. We were joined by a couple of friends, when about midnight, dapat mesej kata Loloq kat Damansara Specialist Hospital.

Rushed there, and met Mohariz there.

We couldn't go in or anything, but we lingered and caught up and just basically tried to find out how he was.

Thankfully dengar abang Loloq da stabilise.

It was something to do with a blood clot in his brain.
So apparently on Sunday he was rushed to the hospital. That's why dia tak muncul time Anugerah Juara Lagu.

Siang tadik da jalani surgery, and now he's recuperating.

He's still in ICU, and doctors are still monitoring his progress, but meka kata dia da stabilise.
Guys, say a payer for Loloq ok... and let's all hope he recovers soon.


Went for another round of drinks and a chat. Balik unpacked my stuff. And settled in to sleep.

Heroes - leading up the final - a double!

So I've been really busy and all, but so sorry lah guys sebab aku lambat sangat update. Plus, aku janji nak review, yang tangguh sampai dua minggu punya worth tak posting langsung.

Anyway, here are the reviews of two episodes of Heroes back to back for you guys, if you're following it on free TV, ko baru nak layan season one lupakan jer lah. Kejam I know... but tu meka yang nak layan Astro, bookmark my blog cause you're going to need it (the spoilers sebelom nih apply kalao ko masih lom tau).

So here it goes...

Previously... on Heroes. Two episodes lagik.
In episode nine, Cautionary Tales, here's what happens (aku malas so I'm putting it point by point on developments.

-Noah starts the family packing, and Claire picks a fight because she's pissed about what happened to West as her hormones take over. Drama moment! She says, "I hate you!" to daddy with the horn rimmed glasses!

Ooh! Claire picks up a new hobby and piles up rocks spelling SORRY to West. She could have just picked up the phone, because either way West doesn't give a flying you know what for her apology.

He does fly into Noah - and they both put their past behind to save Claire.
Daddy meanwhile goes "You've gone native!" as Mohinder sets him and Elle gets ready to bug zap him. West flys into Elle (bad habit of his).

Isaac's next painting to come true

-Father issues are also big, as Hiro buries father Kaito. He pops back in time a week before to try to save his father. His father allows himself to be saved. Hiro, after massive live flashbacks - agrees not to be so childish with his powers. He does however get to identify his father's killer as Adam Monroe, also known as Takezo Kensei.

-One half of the two dads in Matt - is having parental issues as he starts experiencing with the dark side of his power in using his mental magic to get Molly to do what he wants, including eating her cereal (there must be an easier way!) He uses it further to get back into the Kaito Nakamura case.
He also uses it on Angela Petrelli

-Mohinder is hopeless as always, and tries to get Claire's blood to save Nikki (bad excuse... I would just let Nikki die). Elle, Bob's daughter, plays executioner to deal with Noah in case he gets in the way.

He gets the company standard issue gun (like du-uh....so much for his willpower when he knew about Isaac Mendez's painting)

He sets up Noah.

-Bob visits Claire and freaks her out at being discovered. freaks out. He gets more than he bargains for when Elle gets caught by Noah - and uses her power to her disadvantage.

Note : How to make sure an electricity zapping person is secured when caught. Place her in bucket of water so if she tries zapping you - she'll electrocute herself.

Noah gets the best line "Stings like a b***h doesn't it?" He also reveals to Elle how she was also subject to the Company's experiments, obviously remembering none of it thanks to the Haitian.

Stings like a b****h doesn't it?

Bob takes Claire's blood before the trade.

Trade takes place - and surprise surprise - Noah gets shot, after Elle bolts West and Claire, and he tries to blow Bob and Mohinder goes cuckoo.
Isaac was always good in art class. Until he freaked everyone out...

We find out however Noah isn't dead and in the final scene - his eyeball grows back and he comes back alive - thanks to the infusion of Claire's blood, thanks to Mohinder.

Most beautiful moment - When the carp delivers his non-eulogy to his father as the scenes from every thing else cuts into place. Touching... oh, also Claire's mother finally gets a name - Sandra.

In episode ten, we learn that the Shanti virus, was apparently - according to Adam, created by Victoria Pratt, as we learnt last episode, the only remaining elder and founder of the company.
Adam convinces Peter that they have to look for the virus to destroy it to avoid a breakout.

Lucky for Adam, Peter IS as stupid as he looks.

He even believes Adam is right when he blasts Victoria, despite her saying that Adam was going to kill her. This guy isn't going to be joining Mensa soon that's for sure. We however learn that the powers of regeneration - while may mean immortality, it stops at getting your head blown up - which is the point of no return. It must also hurt a lot.

-Truth and Consequences begins with that, and Bob bringing Noah's 'ashes'. More pain theraphy as West plays angel to Claire. Aw... how sweet. Note to producers - the ash-dumping scene would have been made more meaningful if we had known Noah wasn't alive.

-Daddy issues continue as Elle, begins to feel resentment towards her domineering father. Bob meanwhie is faced with Mohinder's demand to rid the company of it's virus stash.
After of course he creates a cure when he comes across a possible cure when he injects himself with Claire's blood.

Mohinder meanwhile sucks at playing daddy when he leaves Molly alone. Both Mohinder and Matt really have to work out who keeps the day job and who is a stay home mom....

-Niki goes back to Micah to tell him she's got the virus, as her son's comic book stash is stolen by his cousin, who gets jacked. Seriously... big time crooks wanting comic books???!!! Micah is pissed because daddy's medal is in there (father issues again) and cousin Monica plays hero and tries to get back his stuff, and gets caught. Suspense! Never mind the bad rip-off of Spiderman - with the costume inspiration theme.

How original...

-Sylar convinces Maya her brother hates her and teaches her to control her powers. Maya dumps her brother (sibling issues are ok, we've outdone the father issues) for Sylar, sampai dia leh tak caya her own brother that Sylar is a killer, believing that he's as misunderstood as her.

Oh please. Can you say, STUPID?

Sylar even goes on to kill Alejandro who attacks him - and ends up snogging Maya. How's that for evil! Yes, Alejandro dies.

-Hiro finds the link to who Kensei is, and hunts down Adam after finding out where the virus is. He freezes time when he arrives to find Peter with Adam.

Peter doesn't get frozen in, and the episode ends with a showdown of both. Can they both kill themselves? Kind of sick of them. But if you've read the spoilers I gave several weeks ago - you already know the outcome of everything that's going to happen.

Sword versus lightning bolt... gee.. who's going to win?

The highlight - Next week's finale when everything thankfully comes to an end for them to think of a better season that the not-so-good season two - in no part made better by the Hollywood writer's strike.

The finale showdown?


Shit!!! (oops...pardon my French) This means Heroes will end next week, so if Chantal is eliminated from America's Next Top Model next, I won't have anything to watch. Damn!


PS - I'll post a double review of America's Next Top model tomorrow, when both my favourites are sadly outed. Damn you Tyra! I hope you bloat up again.

Model Heroes

This is my delayed two in one review for this week's episodes of Heroes and America's Next Top Model. For some reason, while I was keen to watch ANTM with the final coming close, I wasn't that enthusiastic this week about Heroes. I don't know if the magic is wearing off, but the fire is just not the same as it was when the series started.

Hope it picks up big time because I think they're flatlining at the moment.

So let's start with ANTM.
America's Next Top Model episode nine seemed for some reason to harp on Heather's insecurities and all. This is a bad sign - they seem to be explaining how Heather isn't as good as she really is.

In fact - the jusfification seems to be extending to Lisa and Chantal. Screwed! The production seems to be extolling Bianca's non existent virtues and her mediocre ability to model, so again that's a bad sign.

Damn... is this a sign that the my three gals aren't going to make top three Bianca is?
Ambreal was the obvious disposable one this episode, but I have to say, the competition now is very stiff!

It's my three favourites again Jenah, the redneck who delivers a pretty picture, Bianca the b***h who is nothing to shout about and Saleisha, who is... erm just there.

But credit to Bianca - this week's challenge was right up her alley as she could model and speak, something that left Heather in the deep end.

In fact, I think I preferred her over Saleisha.

Lisa crashed too - like Heather and they both did the worse.

But when it comes to design of the dresses created by that monstrosity of that auntie's outfit alone, I think Chantal's was the best.


Saleisha brings Lisa and Bianca along for her win in a jewellery shoot. Big deal.

Heather blows up cause she goes for the shower Saleisha and Lisa. She gives the Exorcist glare - it was definitely so wrong for her to deal with the matter that way - but hey, if Bianca can get away with murder...

The actual photo shoot was crap - as everyone did crap. Ambreal had a premonition by hinting Jay hated her model wannabe rear. And I would too cause she was the most posey.

In the judging round - a surprise was waiting.

There it is again...

Cheesy, but yes, but the lion popping it's head in the background was to tell the girls, that those who survived this cut would make it to China for the next leg of the competition.

In terms of the photos, I thought all the pics were mediocre - though Heather's was I think the second worst next to Ambreal. Hope she improves... really do.

But overall there was nothing spectacular at all.

Still worried that Chantal, Heather and Lisa were the bottom bits escaping Ambreal's fate. Sedih siot tengok Lisa nangis called second last in fear of elimination.

Awww.... dont cry Lisa!

It's getting close to the final... so five girls remain (suara ala Tyra nih). Who will become.. America's... Next... Top... Model!

Now on with Heroes. The episode Four Months Ago,starts with everything zooming back erm.. four months ago, picking up where things got weird and disjointed.

So we catch up on things as Adam @ Kensei whips up a dose of memory healing for Peter to remember. And the stories start.

*How DL actually survived being shot by Linderman. As Niki and Micah rejoice, Bob pops up. He tells Niki he's cleaning up Linderman's mess, and want to help her rid her of her powers and Jessica - after being the gentleman in paying DL's bills.

Waste of money really .

Anyway a month later, Niki is on medication by the Company to suppress her powers. It gets her all weird and she flushes down the medication.
Jessica, her sister immediately returns - oh wait a minute.

She's not!

It's her split personality, Gina now! Oh God! Anyway, Gina takes over...

DL meanwhile uses his power in his new job as a fireman as he blames Jessica for disappearing.
Niki comes back, but DL gets shot by the thus with Gina before.

And that's when three weeks before the new episode, Niki decides it's time to put her self-destructive weirdness to rest. Bob shows up and Niki obviously agrees to help this time.

*How Peter persuaded Nathan to drop him before he exploded. We're then shown Peter bringing Nathan to the emergency room - after he obviously flew to save himself and regenerated after exploding and caught Nathan (isn't it amazing how fast his powers work)

And then they saw the light - with the falling ratings of Heroes

Anyway - Peter gets zapped by Elle (who has a fascination for him), who's with Bob (again) as they bring him in for the Company - to offer ridding him of his powers.

By the way, we learn that Elle, whose powers suppress the abilities of others apart from zapping them with bolts, is the one responsible for Peter's season two haircut.

By the way, the Haitian pops up again.

Anyway, Peter's treatment room just happens to be next to Adam @ Kensei.

Bad idea!

After a month of trying, Adam breaks through Peter's defences.

Another month later, we find Elle still being weird playing with bolts with Peter.

She then lets us into her personal history which includes accidentally set her grandmother's house on fire when she was six, caused blackouts in four counties in Ohio when she was eight, spent her ninth birthday in a glass room with an IV of lithium, and spent the last 16 years living in the Company after being diagnosed as a sociopath of paranoid delusions - to which she claims they're just out to get her because she threatened to kill them.

She's also 24, never been on a date, on a rollercoaster or swimming.

Horny as hell - we can tell.

Adam meanwhile psychos Peter, stressing the point that they're in a prison.

Adam offers a cure for Nathan's condition - with his blood and they're planning a breakout.

Two Face? We're watching Batman?

So he uses his ultimate power - his sex appeal (yuck!) and doesn't take the pills to suppress his power.

He uses DL's power of walking through walls, and literally walks out with Adam

Nathan meanwhile looks nasty! And has ended up telling the truth to his wife, and mama Petrelli goes on to say that it's just insanity that runs in the family.

Back to Adam and Peter, Elle and the Haitian tack them down.

Elle - simply shocking!

As they split - the Haitian takes away Peter's memory to allow him to start a new life as he pack Peter into the container they evetually found him in.

We don't know what happened between Elle and Adam though.

*How Maya and Alejandro had their beginnings at Alejandro's wedding, Maya showed her power for the first time, killing the whole town when she turned on her mojo as she catches Alejandro's wife snogging with her former boyfriend.

Guess she's a little claustophobic and gets irritated by like me too.

Maya makes a run - and Alejandro finds her.- as a nun? The stories are getting really weird!
Alejandro brings the police - and Maya turns it on - only to discover that when she and Alejandro touch, he absorbs her power and stops it.

That's when they make a run for it.

What the...

Here is my delayed Heroes review with the fifth episode titled Fight or Flight. Going character by character and more or less what happened. Wasn't the best episode, in fact, it was really slow moving, and left me feeling like it really just was all hung.

I think they've seriously introduced too many characters (there's another new one this week) - and it's becoming confusing with too many people to keep track off.

Start downing these people down, and let the body count rise for the sake of the show, please!

Oh well, going by spoilers, things are SUPPOSED to pick up soon, but that is left to be seen as things have been draggy lately with stupid love stories (Peter-Caitlin, West-Claire, Hiro-Kensei-Yaeko) as well as too much emphasis (even a second is too much for these charafcters) for the likes of Ando, Niki/Jessica, the twins (they didn't appear this week), West and so many more. I mean, they might figure significantly in later episodes, but if they do, it's simply taking too long.

Which leads to the problem of the writers having too much to explain that they're rambling.

Anyway.. on to the most recent episode.

Elle Promos - With Kristen Bell joining the cast, we find out she can zap people with electrical sparks and later fries Ricky who resists telling her where Peter is. She's the daughter of someone big in the Company judging by the call. Wonder what the significance of that is? Who is he?
Bob with the Midas Touch?

Ooh, and the Valley Girl wannabe has a nasty temper and kills easily.


Peter Petrelli - Being the most undersexed loser, all anal to lose his virginity, decides to finally open his box and doesn't discover much.
Shows off his painting skill, and comes up with an Isaac premonition in paint.

Caitlin - Snogs and cries. Kill her off already. Apart from being a teary tramp, what else can she do?
And just when you're happy we don't have to put up with the sloppy lips of Claire and West...

Monica Dawson - Develops her powers further of imitating, being explained more and more of having 'copycat' powers, with the ability to repeat whatever she sees. Yeay! A black girl can play the piano and skip rope. Amazing!
We wonder why she passed up on skateboarding and basketball.

Matt Parkman - Ditches Mohinder for Nathan and tracks down Molly's boogeyman, his father. Discover daddy has more problem that the obvious lack of hygiene and shaving abilities. Also finds out daddy has interesting mind control powers too.

Matt's dad - Supposedly really, really bad, worse than Sylar. Turns out he just looks bad. But his character offers an insight that the powers of the Heroes, may be open to development. Perhaps he's just pissed the writers didn't give him a first name yet.

When he asks Matt, "you can read minds too" it was obvious he meant that he had it, but his ability to manipulate and trap both Matt and Nathan in those freaky illusions just mean there is a possibility that it can grow into something else.

Matt delivers the next round when he breaks the spell - without knowing how. A lot of potential there.

Back to daddy, apparently, before he goes on psycho mind warp spree, Matt and Nathan do find out he's been marked too. Cue suspence music!

Nathan Petrelli - Weak-assed white dude finds out he still has problems with his scarred image - which are rumoured by spoilers as his post-explosive period which he healed from in the months since he and Peter had their own fireworks display in the season one finale.

Mohinder Suresh - Decides to take Molly to the Company to get her treatment after she goes loco with the boogeyman encounter. Bumps into Niki, actually Jessica first who makes a quick return, and tries to help her escape. Turns out she turned herself in.

Niki/Jessica Sanders- Enters into the plotline via Jessica pissed off, probably over the fact that Ali Larter is not getting much airtime. Wish the writers would kill her off already. She's the biggest waste of time, among all the Heroes.

Ando Masahashi- As usual he doesn't have a life and is busy following Hiro's story. Kill him off!!!! Please!!! He is possibly the most hopeless of them all. He exists only to fill in the holes in the script.

Hiro Nakamura/Takezo Kensei - Still traipsing about with their love triangle with Yaeko. BORING!!!

Ricky - Dies! Why??? Couldn't they have worked out a way for Caitlin to be buzzed to death instead by Elle?

If this continues, I don't know... maybe I'm just going to lose my interest in Heroes altogether. It really is starting to get tedious trying to follow the plot with the slow pace they're developing everything, being too busy adding new characters to the line-up.
Oh well.. we'll see.
