Make me wanna shout!

Had so much fun at the Shout! Awards malam tadi. Thanks to everyone over at 8TV as well as the Media Prima family for the improved hospitality this year. Slight glitches here and there but a pretty impressive show nonetheless.

I didn't focus on much and had too much fun to recount anything else. Heh...

The post party was whacked though as it was too packed and hot. Didn't snap too many pics.

That's Nora Danish dan Betty Rahmad. Cantik kan dua-dua? Sujud! Natural beauties. I can't stand women who pile on too much make-up and I think both of them memang au naturel pon lawa gila.

Jap.. mai main teka teki sikit. Kasut artis manakan ini? Tinggi wo! I think we're talking five inches easily (could be more)

Sambil korang jawab, ni snappy pic Vanessa dan Moots dari Popshuvit. Can't wait for this happy couple to get hitched next year.

Funnyman of the night - Zizan. Orang nak kata lawak kampung ke haper ke, he was easily the funniest man of the night and spontaneous!

Dah dapat jawapan kasut sapa tadi? Ni dia, supermodel of the world gituh pose sakan! Congratulations to Yuna for being the big winner of the night.

Apart from her music, I applaud Yuna because she does have good fashion sense. In fact, I think girls in tudungs can now feel stylist because of someone like Yuna yang tutup abih, tapi tetap maintain rupa stylo and edgy.

Not the easiest of a mix, but still it so works!

And finally, last but not least - 6ixth Sense. They won for Mobile Artist of the Year. Tang download tuh meka memang vast!

Zany

Da lama kan korang tak dengar cita Anuar Zain?

Aku malam tadi gi port lepak tempak makan (ni memang kalao leh aku tanak sebut nama sebab tempat tu nice, cosy lepak area yang da jadi port aku) kat Jalan Ampang. Tujuan nak ajak si Yaya makan, nak belanja sebab birthday dia.

Miscommunication si Yaya tak penah ke sana, dia ilang, aku tengah sibuk cari dia lak kat dalam. Tiba-tiba ada yang panggil aku. Anuar rupanya.

Alamak gelap lak pic. Anyway dia ngan member dia, so I joined up and lepak before Yaya pon join skali later.

Hah ni baru pic terang sikit.

Biasalah kalau da jumpa Anuar, lepak borak panjang la. Masa tu dalam 10 lebih malam kot. Banyak la cita kongsi nak catch up, tengok-tengok orang da nak tup kedai da as it was 2am!

Dalam jalan kuar sembang tak henti, lepak luar tu - until 6.30am! Aiyo! Apakah?!

Still it was good catching up with Anuar to get his insight on some stuff, and being someone I respect in this business, aku salute pemikiran dia. Ni baru kata anak seni bila pentingkan hasil keja - balanced with surviving.

Takde kompromi soal kualiti. I can't wait for album dia to finish up and be released soon.

Geez... look at the time. I gotta sleep. Ada keja agik pagi ni. Berapa jam pun jadik la...

Obsessing

Ok, so I'm obsessing again about the Blackberry Playbook. Found this video uploaded a couple of days ago on comparisons of web fidelity between the Blackberry Playbook and Apple iPad. And the Playbook kicks ass! I like!

Already the Samsung Galaxy Tab is no where close to competing against these two, and seriously, having an iPad, I am so looking forward to the Playbook. Can't wait for it to be release. I am so going to be among the first to use it here!

Never been so excited about a gadget!

So kalao aku da beli Playbook, iPad aku nak wat apa? Pakai dua-dua sekali lah. Orang pakai hanpon pon dua, apa salahnya tablet pon dua. Heh!

Having fun working. Or trying to convince myself, at least. Heh! That makes times pass so much faster.

Not really lah. Sebenarnya, I don't have enough hours in a day for all the meetings and jobs I have to get done in a day.

Ni tengah malam pon dok opis agik nak siapkan keja. Pening. I so need a holiday soon but I think paling soonest I can get some time off pun is going to be middle of next year, more or less.

Ni mangsa snappy ku seperti biasa, si Dayang tengah wat layout page story aku. Aku dok temankan dia (kaco hidup dia sebenarnya)

Wow! Gila advanced skang barang mekap! Ke aku yang ketinggalan zaman?

Ni ada member dok tayang, dalam makan kat mamak pon mampu nak pasang lipgloss (nak kata lipstick bukan sebatang camtuh). Ke lip colour...

Anyway dia dok nak tayang, unscrew the top... merasalah... ada lampu dalam cover!

Tajuk lagunya, kalao dalam gelap pon, lampu tu mampu menerangi hidup anda (bahagian mulut where it's directed actually).

Aku tatau brand apa, so pepandai la korang carik. Tapi interesting. Cuma kebarangkalian nak pakai benda camni dalam gelap ngan keperluan lampu ni - aku rasa kureng sikit la in reality.

Kecuali kalao keja pelacur jalanan nak touch up pas dapat customer. Matilah aku!

Banana leaf and song

Since I've been updating so much about food, and some really yummy choices at that - malam tadi melantak banana leaf.

Sesuai dengan konsep pratonton filem Appalam! Sebenarnya singgah je, tak sempat tengok pon sebab kena gegas ke Muzik Muzik sepatuh akhir kedua. Saja drop by to give moral support katanya.

Antaranya pada tuan director, Aflin. Comei tak anak dia.

Also, was there to catch up jap ngan Jac. Suka la dia pakai saree. She looks good in anything, but I think pakaian tradisional orang kita the best, tak kira la bangsa apa pon.

Pastu, gegas ke Sri Pentas 2, Plaza Alam Sentral. Celah layan persembahan backstage, melepak ngan kengkawan yang membawa lagu-lagu yang tercalon. So what happens backstage?

Well... ada yang pose sakan tuk photos camnih...

...ada yang sibuk bersiap...

...ada kengkawan menggila main ngan props yang tertinggal belakang pentas...

...ada pas bersiap, sempat camwhore ngan kengkawan...

...ada yang mesej tunang... (pandai je aku speku)

...dan ada yang bagi candid shot gila...

It was a fun seminfinal show, and the suspense is going to be thick next week. Tak sabar.

It's a wrap!

Cuba teka, ni fesyen apa ni? Diperagakan kan khas oleh Dayang, dak graphic artist yang penah 'dikapankan' (kalao korang ingat entry team buiding kat Port Dickson tuh).

Iniah fesyen orang gila yang tak reti bak sweater, tapi tak tahan sejuk dalam opis! (gelak cam lahanat!*

Ada ke bubble wrap tu dia pakai nak panaskan badan. Ok, so maybe it sort of works, but it's pretty crazy looking if you ask me. Maybe Lady Gaga would buy into that look kot.

Despite it being a Sunday, merajinkan diri masuk opis nak settle down, and also hantar keja.

That new smell

So it's a Saturday and I wanted to laze at home. Tapi nak tanak, singgah ler opis baru usha how the work progress is on there.

Apparently, the contractors tengah kelam kabut bagai, semua tak siap lagi! Nangis! Esok pagi da bebudak lain nak keja, abih lom siap bagai. Kalao meka tak cepatkan, takde paper la esok.

Tengok pic atas tuh. Matilah salah pasang meja. Tetiba sebelah tu sparuh saiz! Camna tuh? Workspace bebudak news tetiba ala ala telemarketer gituh je.

But I guess they'll be ready in time kot. It's all a little bit empty now, but slowly in stages when everyone moves in, it's going to be a bustling hive of activity.

And that's who is going to be part of the family. Selain The Malay Mail, we have The Malaysian Reserve in, and the latest acquisition - Bernama TV akan pindah masuk gak bawah satu bumbung.

Packing

You know it's a day that I have nothing much to blog about when I show you guys a picture of an overturned lorry with sacks of potatoes spilling out.

Saw this scene masa aku on the way to the office. Today is the last day of packing and moving! Esok pindah ke opis baru.

So what do we do with this zebra in the office? Do we set him free into the wild? Matilah! Heh! Aduh... seb baik la tak banyak barang packing. Tapi hectic dan memeningkan nak sort out things dalam transition process ni.

Work mode

Too tired to update much.

Spent the time finishing some paperwork, and continuing on my scripts (adalah tuh). Really rushing to finish all my proposals and stuff so leh present at the next couple of meetings.

It's been hectic, and I think memang akan lebih teruk dalam seminggu dua ni as we're getting closer to the end of the year.

I wish I could share more info on the projects I'm doing, but since I'm selling ideas, I've had too many stolen from me before that I know better than to just cakap je pasal apa aku nak wat.

Takpe. I have a lot more ideas, so hardly bitter. But I need to get so much done.

My promise to myself before my 35th birthday next July.

Rewind

Siang tadi ada projek yang tak melibatkan apa apa pasai dunia hiburan. Projek mengimbau kenangan silam katanya.

Semalam lepak ngan Helmy jap, merancang nak lawat balik sekolah rendah lama ku yang da tak jejak sejak aku tinggalkan pas abih darjah enam in 1988. The reason? Saja je. Plan nak wat reunion terbengkalai da setahun dua sebab memasing sibuk, and we thought after 23 years since all of us left this school (sekolah kami only primary) - it was time to get together.

So kami pon lawat la sekolah lama kami - SK Taman Klang Jaya. Dulu dikenali sebagai Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Taman Goodwood masa buka in 1982 (kami second batch masuk in 1983), and then tukar nama to Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Taman Klang Jaya and now just Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Klang Jaya.

Sekolah banyak berubah gila. Of course la kan. Da 22 tahun takkan tak berubah. But the whole school walaupun tambah beberapa blok baru, it feels so small.

Ni kelas aku dari darjah satu ke darjah tiga.

Zaman skang ada stesen pendidikan muzik katanya. Kalau zaman aku main recorder jek.

Dan ni port favourite masa waktu rehat. Main tiang!

Banyak sangat kenangan! Aku dan Helmy terduduk gak ler nak nostalgia. The reunion is so happening in 2011 - so pada semua yang batch 1983-1988 di SRK Taman Klang Jaya, contact me. Most of us da jumpa balik kembali kat Facebook, and you can search tuk group kami pon sana.

Banyak sangat kenangan... my happiest days for sure.

Can you guys remember your primary school days? Cuba revisit sekolah lama korang... it's an enriching experience to remember how you first started out in the world.

As you guys know, I'm waiting for the release of the Blackberry Playbook - RIM's answer to Apple's iPad.

And as RIM is slowly starting to tease with more and more details, came across info that the Black Eyed Peas new video The Time (Dirty Bit) features - the Blackberry Playbook!

will.i.am is apparently a BlackBerry fan too, so it's probably worked in for promo.

Funny, since the lyrics has a line that goes “Who’s the baddest of them all, you gotta be the apple, I’m the mac daddy y’all.”

Kata kau! Sebenarnya smoke machine je meka pasang dalam bilik air tengah show, sebelom bawak keluar for one of the acts.
