Pooped!

So sorry cause been too busy guys and gals. Sampai tahap nak update pun tak tercapai akalmu gituh.

Started the day by popping by into office. Yeap, officially am back in Malay Mail as of today. Back at the entertainment desk as senior writer - which simply just means more responsibilities.

Da settle nak get down to the nitty gritty of the 'relocation' back there, lari ke KLCC for a meeting with a big company nak settle pasal event mid August. Final details. Syukur everything went well, dan basically my plans have finally borne fruit.

Dari sana, gegas balik office, and then balik ke area KLCC, kat area Impiana for a get together. First time dok ngan member Press ramai ramai camni after so long - and this time back in the fold.

Singgah Pelita jap pastuh, and past 1am, aku da ready nak KO da. Seriously can't take late nights like I used to.

Ni lagik dengan segala kerja nak siapkan - entahlah boleh cope ke tidak.

Juggling full time job, with company (one corporate event confirmed, one TV production awaiting greenlight for budgeting, one recording due, and one band nak settle management talks)... pening dowh! Sing with me now.... money money money... MONEYYYYY!!!!

Ni nak abihkan one more email to be sent out for quotation, esok lak kena masuk office, then sekali ada event, before malam nak finalise stuff with dancers. Lega benda ni jadik, but it's going to be a headache with 100 over dancers involved. Aiyak!

Ok la... takleh blog pepanjang. Just wanna finish things and get to bed.

By the way, bawah ni ada three short videos shot kat Melaka. Korang layan la bebudak ni punya gila. First video, si Obri, Sidi dan Yazid jamming nak wat lagu Raya, but can't get past 'Selamat Hari Raya' repeated like a million times, second tuh tiga orang ni nak serenade Aishah tapi last last jadi iklan 'Aishah - Tuala Dalam Wanita' dan third, si Hafiz jadik mangsa dok belakang Aril dan Akim on this two seater bicycle kat tengah pekan Merlimau time kitaorang shooting pada hari ketiga.

Ok... I'm out of here for now.


PS - Promise will be back as usual by the time I get a hang of this crazy schedule.

PPS - Finally got Garmin GPS installed in my phone. Cracked on my own! Yeah! Tapi sebab cloudy day today, satellite connection crap! Boo!

A whole lot

Semalam letih sangat dan malas mendatang nak update panjang-panjang, so no updates on Melaka. So ni kira entry clear stock.

Thursday was my last day there walaopon sebenarnya Friday ada scene lagi nak shoot. Tapi sebab ada urgent meeting kena rush balik. So didn't do much. I think about three scenes in total saja.

Akim dan Aril shooting last day semalam, and they'll be leaving for Jakarta on Sunday morning. Flight 6 pagik tak silap aku, Akim bagitau.

The rest are staying until tomorrow to finish up the Raya show.

Later that evening, took a break pas finish the daylight scenes. Sempat semua berehat. Panas, peluh tak hengat memasing because of the weather.

Now most of the kids memang da demam and selsema ketika kat Sarawak, and kat Melaka, ramai lagik masih recovering atau baru nak get hit.

Sampai aku melarikan diri takot nak dekat any of them. Mana taknya... production crew dok dekat poli kat Merimau tuh - hari kedua ke ketiga, diminta pindah sebab tempat tuh ditutup because ada kes H1N1 sana! Aiyo! Plus next day papers keluar ada kes dak ninggal sebab selsema anu tuh in Melaka.

Lewat petang Akim cam nak collapse sebab keadaan dia dari ok ok saja, jadik kritikal. Tengok rupa dia memang lemah abih dan cam nak pengsan. So rushed him to the clinic. Seb baik takde la H1N95 8GB kie haper ke. Demam, selsema biasa-biasa saja.

Si Hafiz pun not feeling well - sampai rambut tetiba lebih dari biasa. Check out the medication. Yang penting maintain ceria je.

Gelak gelak.. show must go on!

A few things happened masa kat Melaka. Kami shooting kat Merlimau - so geographically sapa yang familiar tau la pasal apa aku nak cita nih.

Kisahnya malam pertama aku balik ke bandar sebab dok hotel sana pakai jalan lama ala rally tuh, belok sana sini.

Second night - pakai jalan baru tuh yang lagik cepat. Now, si Dian da warning aku kalao nampak kedai makan along there, jangan berhenti lak sebab kang tengok siang takde lak. Paham?

So pandai-pandai aku, pakai lah jalan tu tuk balik ke bandar kol 3 pagik. Korang tau kan aku leh pick up benda benda camtuh. Pendek kata, memang ada 'perkampungan' dan sempat la nampak kelibat ada yang 'menumpang'. Siot je. Kenapalah aku selalu kena.

Well, masa shot pesta Aidilfitri belah malam (it was about 10pm when we started), ada scene bebudak Hafiz, Akim dan Aril lompat dari stage.

Atas pentas ada Yazid, Obri dan Sidi.

Well, one of the first few takes, time tengah recording clip for lagu Yazid, tiba-tiba aku perasan, tepi pentas tuh, terbakar! On fire as in like getting bigger by the second, with the dried leaves burning!

Erm... aku pandang Reza, dan Reza pandang aku. Memasing punya radar da gila gila punya berbunyi.

Paham? Tak paham takpe.

Anyway, they put out the fire, and checked the tape, and found masa bebudak lompat, one of the pelita kat tepi tuh jatuh, and terkena the side of the stage, starting the fire.

Yang kelakarnya, masa time berlakon tuh, si Sidi yang dok belakang main drum tuh, nampak api. What did he do?

Dengan muzik yang kuat tengah on, dia leh dengan suara tak beremosi mengatakan dengan perlahan.

"Stage terbakar..... stage terbakar....." in a matter-of-fact tone. Siot je. Obri dok bantai gelak dia pastuh.

So it was an accident.

Or was it?

Apapon, it was a fun time in Melaka, and walaopon I couldn't give my all, sebab commitment aku clash schedule shooting yang memang topsy turvy (sebab jadual bebudak semua haywire thanks to their management), it was a memory to be cherished. Mana taknya... biasanya rakaman program Raya tuk AF ni menandakan 'tutup buku' bagi musim AF yang berkenaan. Pastu semua bak haluan memasing dan nak berkumpul semua camni memang da susah.

Reached back KL safe and sound - after an hour's drive, speed abih sebab tak sabar nak balik tidur katil sendiri.

Siang smalam dok catch up on sleep, and malam ke Anak Wayang. Nanti-nanti je la aku update a few pics. Letih banget nih nak update memacam.

Sapa line teruk, azab korang nak loading pics jangan salahkan aku ek.

Time to catch some Zs. Night...

Melaka on day three... and some decent news

It's begun.

Friends of the late Yasmin Ahmad in the media and advertising industry are now beginning to make their stand known against Kosmo! as well as Chinese language newspaper Kwong Wah Jit Poh for their ridiculous and shameful act disrespecting her memory.

A letter drafted by current and former journalists protesting against that vile front page and article has been sent out to Utusan group chairman Tan Sri Hashim Makaruddin while a copy is expected to be sent to the Home Minister.

Meanwhile, that won't be the only repercussion of Kosmo!'s actions.

I promised to reveal it yesterday, tapi wanted confirmation first. Don't know when the official announcement will be, or if there will be one. But on Tuesday night I got wind of this, and yesterday night, confirmed with sources that this will indeed be happening!

The initial word was that the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia's (4As), the Malaysian Advertisers Association and the Media Specialists Association (MSA) will be proceeding with a one month ban of a certain 'newspaper' (I use newspaper reluctantly because my respect for it, if any has dissipated with the recent event) beginning 10 August.

Will that mean they get hit where it hurts most with no ads? Their pockets? I hope so. Details as I get them - but I have no idea of how far reaching the impact of this move is at the moment.

Yang pentingnya, aku bersyukur, ramai mula bersuara to protect the memory of Yasmin, against those who try to cash in on a loss so felt by us all.

Syukur.

Mampu aku senyum sikit hari ni walaupun sibuk sikit, with time taken up for shooting of my scenes today. Reza and I had fun for our scenes, and while it was hot and tiring - tapi the environment memang best and we got two scenes done very fast.

Bebudak lain semua shooting their scenes for the Raya edition of Akademi Fantasia. Including the opening scene yang aku gelak. Si Adila especially was a riot.

By the time it started to get dark, everyone headed back for dinner - and more importantly a shower! Panas, berpeluh... lagik da letih.

The girls have the night off, sebab bebudak laki je ada scene malam ni. But budak pompuan semua kena bangun kol 7 pagik lagik esok. Merasalah!

The boys pas shower and a short rest after dinner, terus start script reading sebelom they worked it for the cameras until lewat malam.





Aku malas lepak malam ni sebab nak rush balik hotel nak mandi and rehat. Sempat la membuta jap to recover before nak update blog nih.

Esok only have to be on location late noon for another scene. But tomorrow is going to be a busy day because it'll be Akim dan Aril punya last day with the cast - so kena abihkan al their scenes - cause meka akan berlepas shoting kat Jakarta lak for the other series.

But it's going to be fun despite me predicting chaos sebab selain Reza gak esok, si Sarimah is joining us as well. Whoopie!

Meanwhile... I need to go out for a bite. Skipped dinner sebab keletihan sangat. Ni lak da cukup tidur, perut lak mengadu da. Aduh.. camna tak semain naik badan ni, pas makan sambung tidur lak lagik.
