Ada yang berangan jadi artis. Ye lah the glamour and all. Aku benda tu sumpah dah lali sebab lepas 16 tahun, it doesn't mean anything at all. Dah lah masa aku keja line ni dulu pun aku da memang susan nak starstruck ke apa.

Never had any illusions of being famous ke apa.

But I know most kids have that fantasy.

Not Amir. Aku happy java bakat cam Amir ni sebab sumpah senang nak jaga dia (tapi jangan bagitau dia kang naik lemak lak)

Masa turun Anugerah Juara Lagu 26, Amir kena jalan red carpet (er... blue carpet...pffft!)

Dia memang tak biasa. But he relaxed pas jump some friends on the red carpet (blue! PFTT!!!)

Nangis make up Altimet lom peach minyak!

Anyway, it was a good production so tahniah to TV3 for that. Aku malas nak review sebab memang secara peribadi aku tak setuju langsung keputusan malam ni.

Kenapa? Because I think all the songs, kecuali Karma - ketinggalan zaman *cue peminat fanatic laharkan aku*. The point is memang ada criteria for the judging on creativity etc.

But hampir kesemua lagu, kalau ini bukan AJL 26 tapi AJL 12 pun could fit in right at home.

Cliched ballads where you scream at the top of your lungs. Orang pita memang suka kan bag merit tarik sampai gugur telur/ovari ni.

Me? I like a good ballad too. But I think 'gelombang perubahan' dijanjikan AJL 26 bukan gelombang pon. Air tak berkocak pon.

Apapun, I think Kekanda Adinda, Penakut, Sungai Lui, Karma and Kalau Berpacaran had something more unique overall to offer which was better in many ways.

But oh well... biarlah.

R&R

Malam minggu tak gi mana pon. Memula nak malaskan diri jek. Then kengkawan ajak ke majlis doa selamat kak Ziela Jalil, so why not. Kengkawan semua ada... so meriah gak la.

Sampai jek, kena snap pic dan tweet ngan si Umie laser ku lambat.

After everything was over, as usual sesi borak bagai. Tengok kak Erma layan gula-gula dia. Heh...

Didn't do much... Sunday was like that too. Cuma ada perjumpaan kengkawan ramai-ramai impromptu. Sebab kebetulan semua ada kat Shah Alam, we all went for dinner kat Les Copaque nya Geng's Corner, franchise meka off the branding off Upin & Ipin.

Food not too bad, prices decent, service ok... banyak ruang for improvement, but the place itself is ok sebab tersorok belakang Tesco Xtra kat opis Les Copaque.

Si Altimet pon join skali sebab dia in the area. He amuses me. Kalao ada dia, semua jadik gila. Heh... what you playing with between your legs, Altimet?

Dalam resah, banyak kami dapat settle. It's always good to have friends around.

Wowed

Remember I told you guys about the postponed Adam Lambert interview. Well, it was on today, with Adam talking on the phone from there before his show there tomorrow.

It was amazing. I have new found respect for him and how he approaches his craft. We initially had fifteen minutes but the interview stretched to half an hour and it was simply because we ran out of things to ask since we ran through everything with such ease.

Initially he sounded a bit uncomfortable, which I put it down to him being one of those artistes who hated the normal questions he hears everyday over and over and over again.

And true enough, as we warmed up - he was on fire!

I will upload the recording of the interview in a few days (it must run in the paper first) and then you guys can see what I mean. So I won't say anything else about it except - WOW!

Pas abih keja dan sebagainya, lepaked with Altimet and Atilia kat Rasta. Nothing was planned actually, but someohow over Twitter, last minute planning, terus menjadi.

Tuh dia Atilia cokver bad hair day while si Altimet lak doing an impersonation of Jaws. Matilah aku pepandai je nak caption camtuh.

It was inspiring because being around artistes who are dedicated to their craft inspire me - and yes, I have new ideas for some meetings coming up later this week. It's going to be BIG and amazing.

Can't wait...

But it will have to as I'm too tired to put any of it on paper now and need to sleep...

Syukur!

Just a quickie update. First of all - a clue into what we doing on Saturday.

You may have seen this on TV. It's a new commercial untuk Twisties. Watch and take a listen.

And ni versi Bahasa Malaysia as performed by Pesawat.



What are we going to do? Selama ni flashmob ni single device execution. Tak kisah menyanyi, menari atau satu aksi beramai-ramai. Kali ni kita nak menggila dan wat sesuatu kelainan as never done before by any flash mob. Kami gabungkan beberapa elemen skali.

How? Korang kena mai tengok. Wat skang aku hanya mampu nak katakan it'll be in the middle of Bukit Bintang petang Sabtu. Happening! We're taking over the streets!

Aku risau sebab logistics memeningkan. Tapi aku bangga sebab idea lain tu hasil aku sendiri, and I get to see it realized. It's a show for all of you.

Dalam pening seminggu persiapan - aku pasang lagu ni repeatedly bagi semangat kat aku when things don't go my way. Lagu dari Altimet - Syukur. Dunno if you guys pernah dengar ke tak - but you should. It's inspiring. I hope Altimet yang one of the most nominated for AIM 17 akan bawak pulang something for Syukur.

We'll see on Sunday la. But meanwhile... come on sing with me... SYUKUR!
