The eve

Hari ni banyak plan aku kansel. Dari cadang nak pergi ke buka puasa Astro, hingga ke buka puasa bersama Datuk Siti Nurhaliza. Dengar hari ni banyak event, tapi entah kenapa hati ni cam berat nak attend mana-mana event for today.

Kalau ikutkan, aku berapa hari ni perap je kat rumah siap tuh nih. Bosan gak. Tapi aku bisik pada diri sendiri, camna pun, hari ni aku nak buka posa kat rumah je.

Yerlah. Kang da sibuk, rumah jadi hotel lak. Orang tua aku kang jarang lak bertemu.

So berbuka seorang je kat rumah.

Lewat sikit gerak bersama kawan ke Perhimpunan Perdana Sambutan Hari Malaysia. Dah agak mesti start lewat sikit sebab lepas berbuka and all.

Got there about just before 9.

Mak aih! Traffic jam tak hengat! Kalao disebutkan target untuk attendance hari ni 30,000, tak mustahil ler meka senang senang capai angka tuh. Seriously, while LDP nak masuk ke area Kelana Jaya tak jam... sekali masuk jalan dalam menghala ke stadium, merasalah azabnya nak cari parking atau nak gerak mana sekalipun.

Dahler aku tak bak keta Wira aku. Pandai pandai lak aku bak Nissan Frontier yang besar gedabak ala road bully tuh. Amik ko aku disekolahkan why you shouldn't bak keta camtuh to events like this.

Resah bersilih ganti gelisah (iyolah tuh). Finally found the road into the Stadium Kelana Jaya area. Tak familiar sangat tempat ni sebenarnya, so main redah je. And in the end, following the burning stadium lights which were obvious from even a distance, ikut jer dapat jalan masuk ke bahagian belakang stadium.

Unfortunately, ada bas lak pepandai masuk jalan yang da sempit tuh. Sangkut ler terus. I was about four or five cars behind the bus. At first waited gak for the bus to move. Ado???!!!
So most of us caught in the situation left our cars to see what was happening and whether the road was closed.

So near yet so far

Memang takleh tembus jalan tuh thank you to the smart bus driver yang gi masuk jalan ni yang da la sempit, pepandai lak nak redah walaopon da tengok keadaan trafik camtuh. Amik ko.
Tapi seronok gak sebab dalam caught in the jam, sempat borak ngan Pak Haji keta depan aku dan Chinese lady sorang ni in front of him.

Walaupun aku mohawk pink, Pak Haji tuh leh borak rilek je. Heh... he didn't even give me any weird looks. Apapon very the muhibbah setting sebab keta depan tuh ada Indian family lak.
Yes, we celebrated the event in the spirit of Malaysia Day alright... walaopon probably not as how all of us had imagined it.

Caught ler some bits of the speech. Keuntungan bak pick up Frontier nih, sebab dia tinggi, dok belakang cam grandstand lak leh layan Anwar's speech yang in progress time tu.

Then someone had a bright idea! Apa kata reverse keluar cari jalan lain since we couldn't go forward. Which would have made sense if we didn't have almost 20 cars behind us, snaking through the length of the road of the housing estate, with more coming in by the minute.

Nak reverse, belakang da berbelas keta ikut masuk sekali jalan kawasan perumahan yang tembus ke bahagian belakang stadium tu. Lum lagik masuk kereta peronda satu tuh, mana anggota bertugas tuh wat moka tak bersalah bila kami semua approach mintak kalao leh undur sebab takde jalan keluar.

Baru nak undur ada lak driver yang hilang dari keta belakang aku

If looks could kill... everyone would have been charged with homicide da time tuh sebab semua bengang la. In the end, kereta peronda tuh terpaksa nak undur sekali.

Pusing for about another hour or so without any parking available for about a kilometre away. Lepak kejap double parked and dengar from the car before decided to call it quits.

Sempat ler dengar part of the speech by Anwar. Still question not answered of whether September 16 will take place.

Headed to Sri Damansara makan ngan geng bebudak Alif FC ngan Alif skali. Sambil tuh online ler. Reports da kuar kat Malaysiakini dan Malaysian Insider (links kat bawah).

Looks like it's still a guessing game. Well, one thing you have to give to Anwar, he's a good strategist and keeps people at the edge of their seats with his moves. Wonder though if he can pull of his claims.

Dalam kul 2 lak gerak gi sahur kat Pelita. Borak lagik ngan kengkawan lagik isu nih. Something was brewing in my head. Ramai sangat talk about what's happening to the country. But unfortunately most of them ala couch critics. Bila datang hari ngundi, ado???

I know a lot of people who talk about this or that, and they're not even registered voters walaupun tua bangkai. Yes, bangkai yer (adalah tujuan dikatakan camtuh directed at some hypocrites I know yang nak tunjuk pandai depan orang).

My point is.... I'm not one of those big socio political bloggers. And I may not be as well informed as most of them anyway, despite having my background in political coverage (yeah, like a decade ago when the Anwar issue was just starting out). But I feel the need to be part of this, and talk about this - because I am a Malaysian. And I vote. And I want to exercise my right, nay, my responsibility, and be alert and aware of what's happening so that I can make some sense of this madness our country is going through.

Pada pembaca pembaca blog aku, sorry ler lately things have not been the usual dose of entertainment. But like I said, things are so much more interesting on the political front.
Kalao nak cita artis, kang gosip jer lebih, seperti cita bintang Akademi Fantasia sorang ni (bintang ke binatang) yang hantar bunga harum sundal malam gituh kat rumah budak AF sorang lagik ni dan skali gus benda yang tak eloksebab dengki.

Oops!

Tapi malas ler nak gosip wat sementara.

My mind is more preoccupied with September 16.

I hope for a change. I pray for a change. Will my prayers... our prayers... be answered? Who knows. Tunggu lagik.

To know more of what happened, head to Malaysiakini or Malaysian Insider for more up to date info (risau lak kang baca tempat lain, attendance lebih 20,000 jadik 2,000 lak)
Things will return to normal. banyak buka puasa events to attend. Nanti aku decide gi ke tak.

PS - Happy birthday to my best friend, Ted today! Ko smakin tua beb! And to Juan, my condolences atas pemergian pakcik ko malam tadi. May his soul rest in peace. And have a safe trip back to Bahau, ok.
