We will miss you Pak Samad

Aku nak cita panjang lebar hari ni pasal pergi berubat. But malam tadi masa nak bersiap untuk berangkat, we tuned into the main news bulletin (dengan harapan to catch some updated about the whole Pakatan takeover - walaupun sebenarnya tau nan ado punya).

And I was speechless when one of the headlines was about the passing of Pak Samad.

Tergamam sat. The man who IS Malaysian journalism at its best, Tan Sri A. Samad Ismail is nothing less than a legend.

And even though I was not one of the fortunate ones to have received his guidance, his name was one that I heard throughout my career.

Today, at 5.58pm, Pak Samad passed away at the Pantai Medical Centre due to lung infection.
Immediately buzzed Rocky to convey my condolences since I didn't have kak Nuraina's number.Asked if my former boss could convey my salam takziah to kak Nuraina who was by his bedside when he took his last breath.

I don't know what words I could write to pay tribute to a man of his stature, as nothing I could offer could even come even close to honouring him.

All I can do is to offer a short prayer. No matter what religion you are, please spare a moment for a prayer for the late and great Pak Samad.

Give him eternal rest, O Lord,
and may your light shine on him for ever.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

Takde mood nak update apa apa. Just after the news, had only one thing to mention. Like why the heck is this person still around? Yes, folks, introducing Bukit Bendera Umno division head Datuk Ahmad Ismail who allegedly uttered in a cermah that 'orang Cina hanyalah penduduk sementara di negara ini dan oleh itu adalah mustahil untuk mendapat hak yang sama di negara ini'.

Damn it! I did not arrive in a tongkang from the mainland, A-hole! I was born and bred a Malaysian!

So aku ni pendatang to you? Having reported as saying "Saya tidak pernah buat apa-apa salah pun. Kenapa saya perlu minta maaf," it's no wonder the Government is losing support faster than our expressways as beams give way. Eh... lain lak topik.

Turun la harga minyak lagik harga minyak 15 sen pun, nothing can help the Government if there are people like this within the administration.

By the way, da sibuk nak beriya turunkan harga minyak lak, ada ke order to turunkan everything else that has come up since they announced the price hike initially?
