So semalam, because I had to run some errands, nak gi Petshack (the only pet store yang owners dia actually ada knowledge pasal pets - especially sugargliders)kat Sunway, alang alang, aku singgah la kat Sunway Pyramid jalan jalan, sebab da berkurun tak jejak sana.
One thing impressed me so much, have to blog about it. Sorry kalao some of you know about it already, Malls kat KL takde yang pakai sistem ni, as far as I perasan, but it was very obvious kat Pyramid.
So the thing that caught my eye was this.
Ok... nampak cam biasa jerk kan? Number of parking bays available and all. But here's the bonus! Kalau korang perasan in the pic kat atas, as well as sebelah nih, above every parking lot, ada lampu. Very Akademi Fantasia musim lepas.

What happens is, when a car is occupying a lot, there is another overhanging object yang detects the car.
So kalao benda tuh kesan ada keta, terus jadik merah. Kalau ruang tuh kosong, unless a very big person pakai body armour kot dok bawah tuh, then it's green, indicating that it's empty.
It's helpful, sebab dari boards tuh da you know ada ruang ke tak and how many and where.
Then as you drive past the endless rows of cars, takyah nak usha ruang kosong. Just look at the overhanging lights, and then ko akan nampak ijo ke merah ke... senang lagik. Lessened the number of dimwits yang hog the lane, sambil dengan perasaan blur dan berangan holding up traffic sebab dia tengok kiri kanan nak cari ruang.
I say lessened sebab masih ada mangkuk hayun, botol kicap yang walaupun ada bebenda ni nak tolong, meka still konsep ignore it, and take their freaking time snailing throughout the car park, ala manually gituh nak check for empty bays one by one.
Ignorance is bliss...
It's a system that makes things so much more easier, especially since it's one of the busiest malls. Honestly, aku puji sistem ni sangat because despite being packed like hell masa aku ke Pyramid, it took me no more than ten minutes nak carik tempat etak keta.
Kalao kat Berjaya Times Square, kekadang cm #$%^& sangat, it takes more than half hour just to find a cramped lot half taken up by a four wheel drive being the only available space.
Sunway Pyramid hence is the second mall aku tengok mana parking lot dia memang well thought of apart from The Curve, which has front parking bays located near entrance/exit point to and fro from the carpark for single female drivers for the sake of their safety. Coolness.

The signs indicate how many bays available and where by the arrows at every turn. Lights above each parking bay indicate whether the lot is available or not, making it obvious from a distance. Note ni masa nak balik ek, so banyak ruang letak keta lak.
