Happy birthday Sarimah and Andrew!

So today was the day... and many already know that what I predicted, (predict ke kalao da sumber dalam yang pecah rahsia... matilah pasni kelam kabut agik meka cari camna aku tau dan sapa sumber aku) and sapa yang announced pengacara Akademi Fantasia tahun ni menggantikan Aznil Nawawi kan.

But I'm preempting myself. Terlajak lak cita. Anyhoo... reached Studio 1 and kengkawan media yang lain da pun amik tempat. So picked a seat and we were on air in minutes.

The Fail Sulit Akademi Fantasia was a little too long winded, and draggy for my liking to just announce who the host was... but at least entertained ngan Sarimah nya lawak bersahaja. I have to say she has improved on her live delivery - one, being more spontaneous, and secondly not shouting like some other hosts do.

Jangan aku kata aku puji kengkawan jer. Sebelom ni Sarimah pon, friend or not aku carut for shouting when hosting. But she doesn't do that anymore - heh... that girl memang cepat pick up!
Oh by the way - sapa tengok the program, perasan tak part meka kata pengacara pilihan artis? Matila tetiba ada blogger ni... and then if that wasn't enough, selit lak muka aku!!! Heh.. da lah time tuh rambut aku merah. Aiyo! Terangnya!

And in the end, the 'surprise'... kejutan yang tak pun mengejutkan pun diumumkan.

AC Mizal pengacara baru untuk konsert Akademi Fantasia and Sarimah menjadi pengacara Diari Akademi Fantasia (masih lom sebut kalao program lain dia pun jadik pengacara ke tak.

Sat aku sediakan tempat tuk sesapa yang tetiba rasa loya tekak ek.



Sebab sudah jangkakan, tu dia aku sediakan tempat korang rasa nak throw up with the announcement. Someone asked me, why I dislike AC so much. My answer is, I don't.

I just don't think he can do the job with class and style as Aznil did. Not that I'm looking for an Aznil clone. It's just... imagine Hamid Gurkha (contoh jerk ek) diminta host 3R, or Fasha Sandha jadik pengacara Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, or memana budak Raja Lawak jadik hos Ikon, and so on.

Just salah for the job. Aku da berkali katakan... aku rasa paling sesuai Zainal Alam Kadir ke, Sarimah ke... kalao nak Diari, Jimmy Shanley ke, Farish ke, Yasmin Hani ke...

At the end of the day, you can't become something you're not, and he just doesn't have it to be spontaneously funny and yet maintain that air of elegance in his humour and approach. 16 years dia dok line nih, takkan la tetiba leh mampu muncul something yang erm... oh nevermind. You get the picture. Just wish people at Astro did.

Anyway, after the show, we had a press conference,, and then a little makan makan. What was seronok was Astro had prepared a birthday surprise for Sarimah.





Isn't that sweet? Aw... she's celebrating her... erm... 25th birthday... AGAIN! Matilah, ampun Sarimah! Actually it's her 30th, but seriously Sarimah, I don't care if you still claim to be 25 ke 29 ke apa, you could put women five years younger to shame - from every aspect!

Anyway, settle jerk, left Astro pas da hantar keja semua, and then rushed back to Shah Alam to pick up my Boo. Masa tuh da dekat kol 9 malam da. Sarimah's little birthday bash get together for her closest friends start kol 8.30pm!

Damn... rush and all... and reached the place, Basque Lane kat Plaza Mont Kiara just before 10pm. I love the place!!! It's so cosy and quiet... yang pentingnya lapar gila masa tu sebab didn't manage to have a bite sebab busy wat keja and all, so lahap puas-puas.

Entah berapa kali aku nak ingatkan. There were only so many people at the party - so tipu ler kalao pics sama ni muncul anywhere else and ko admit amik these pics (this has happened before to me with some losers yang ada small blogs ni nak feeling exclusive sebab bak naikkan blog maha sedih nak wat duit iklan dan gila glam by ciloking my pics - MATILAH KO!)

Aku lom sampai tahap nak rosakkan pics yang aku nak kongsi ngan korang by placing a watermark on the pictures, so don't make me do it.

I wish I could have stayed longer for the pocho pocho (matilah!!!) tapi masaalah da janji nak jumpa kengkawan kat Pelita. Also esok ada event Anugerah Bintang Popular related, so takleh stay out sangat.

YERLAHHH!!!!! Tajuk albumnya konon nak balik awal! Dok sana sampai kol 4 pagik! Siap cita ghost story menaikkan paranoia memasing.

By the way, to Putri, thanks for the great party! You were running about like a headless chicken I know... but you did it! Had fun!

Sebelom lupa, happy birthday to Datuk Seri Khalid Mohamad Jiwa, hubby Datin Seri Datuk Siti Nurhaliza (semput nak sebut) for celebrating his birthday today pon.

Dengar Anas, eldest son Datuk Seri Khalid balik Australia later tonight, tapi siang tadik accident. Mujur selamat... and nothing serious.

To Sarimah - thanks for being a friend, and you keep playing at being Bionic Woman ok! You rock!

To my adik yang dok study jauh tuh, study hard tau! And keep in touch as well.

And last note - meeting aku this Thursday postponed to 27 Feb. Pening la... lega tapi frust gak. Heh... at least ada time lagik nak prepare. I suppose it's a good thing.
