Ravin' about Raven!

First of all I have to start with that yesterday was as crap as my days could get. Kekadang most of these stress are unnecessary... just like Fazley's motivational aids in Akademi Fantasia.

Mevertheless, the day ended on a high note sebab aku abih keja je rush ke Kepong to collect the first M.A.S.K. (for those yang terlepas LRT, it's an 80s cartoon) item I won on ebay!

Yes, you are now looking at the owner of a bona fide owner of a Raven!

Complete with the Calhoun Burns figure and the Gulliver mask. It's a first generation M.A.S.K. toy which means it's about 21 years-old!

And it's still in fine condition complete with one missile (satu agik hilang), with the stickers intact and just minor scratches on the body for having been played with.

Aku terus naik gila cam 10 years-old balik masa aku first time tengok time cousin aku beli kat Singapore (masa tuh aku beli Switchblade and Firefly) sebelum cartoon tuh mai Malaysia.

On ebay, pagi tadik bangun je there was a Poslaju package. Yeah! ebay is really coming into my life in a big way (matilah shopaholic katanya!).

My two watches I won also dah sampai!!! Yeah!
Anyway, in the office, aku check ebay aku (cam routine wajib check masuk je office), I found that I won another M.A.S.K. toy, which is Manta, complete with Vanessa Warfield along with the Whip mask! It just gets better! And I have a Thunderhawk with Matt Trakker and the Spectrum mask ending soon with me as the highest bidder.

About the Raven, semalam abih je keja aku gegas ke Kepong nak pick up the toy. I bought it for RM75 (which is quite cheap seeing that it's selling at about double the price minimum). Pusing sana sini...aiyoh..sesat kat Kepong. Last-last jumpa mamat tuh kat petrol station, aklu paid up and he handed over the toy and I inspected it.

Transaction complete, kita sembang sat. Dia ada member ada koleksi kecik of M.A.S.K. toys and he'll call me kalao leh dapat his friend to sell it.

Memang puas ati...walaupun aku settle semua pun dah kul 9pm. Pusing sana sini...got lost in Kepong, finally managed to find my way back to Shah Alam...dah miss lak Diari Akademi Fantasia.

Tapi tak nyesal. Dapat tengok recording pun jadik ler.

All I say to say about semalam punya is this. Sebab Friskies pun leh jadik sponsor (aku still confuse about that one) I suggest a new sponsor that production leh mintak join tuk tabur duit tuk program tu.

Yerlah...tengok...demi nak puaskan sponsor makan, kamera asik tunjuk bebudak tuh melantak jer. Ker ni alasan tuk tunjuk muka Kevin lagik pasni membebel pasal the importance of correct eating etc.

By the way, can we get rid of Marrybrown as a sponsor. Tak jaga tul meka dapatkan sponsor ni. Kelas ke Marrybrown??? Pizza Hut ke...KFC ke...McDonald's ke...Burger King ok agik. Paling busuk pun Kenny Rogers ke ataupun A&W.

Malu siot tengok bebudak pakai baju Marrybrown nak endorse. Talk about cheap. Couldn't they get better t-shirts in the endorsement? Bebudak Akademi Fantasia don't even look close to stars. They just look like some horrendous fast food workers working minimum wage in a fancy, luxurious setting (which makes them look more like illegal maids).

Going back to the topic, aku suggest ler a new sponsor yang leh join beribu sponsor Akademi Fantasia, iaitu (drumroll please), kertas Double A!!!

Mana taknya, tengok banyak guna kertas dalam Akademi...ada masaalah je, muncul saja Fazley, "Ni amik kertas ni... tulis lirik"..."Apa masaalah awak...nak ni kertas...tulis masaalah ko"

Mamposss!!! Orang working towards paperless environment, dia mengunakkan teknik-teknik Pembimbing Rakan Sebaya (PRS) yang kita dok belajar dulu masa kat sekolah. No wonder the kids are dumbed down...you treat them like freakish oversized 8 year-olds...they do come out that way mah!!!

Based on semalam punya Diari Akademi Fantasia, aku semakin geli tengok warden ala Nobita tuh yang kecoh, bak kata member sorang ni yang kurang waras, cam pengawas sekolah (on a power trip). He's got about emotion as a can of tinned pineapples!

In other news... padan muka Faizal kena marah (aku suka dia, tapi dia tak cam tak bersungguh!), Salima lak monotonous (untuk peminat Salima yang nak meroyan, sila ke Dictionary.com kalau tak paham perkataan tuh ek), Ramli Sarip akhirnya tak kena overshadow Fazley or Kevin, cameraman dan editor bertugas bahawa ada pelajar lain selain Faizal dalam Akademi, Haziq personaliti cam mayat hidup, Karen kena paksa baru usaha, Amirul dan Rich memang mangkuk hayun masih tak hapal lirik patut makan selipar dan Diddy terlebih semangat nak menari walaupun kaki sakit, ngan menggunakan his amazing upper body strength (ok tak statement PR ni presiden Dazzling Diddy FC - matilah aku...)

Aku gelak masa Ramli Sarip leh kata Akademi mencari penyanyi versatile. Kalau camtuh, aku mintak Salima dapat assignment Aural Fixation, Haziq dapat She Bangsa dari Ricky Martin...leh? Didn't think so...

A little bit on Faizal. Walaupun suka ngan dia as antara calon yang promosing, aku rasa dia dah mula ngada. Cara dia cakap...he definitely looks like he's playing the game.

Tak penah makan sesedap ni laa...etc. I'm sure Presiden Dazzling Diddy FC yang merupakan orang Ganu will say that food back there tastes a lot better than the crap they're served. Plus I don't think overwhelming sangat apa dia dapat...ortempat meka duduk sebab dia bukan dari keluarga yang begitu susah. Kalau Zila atau Lotter cakap camtuh aku leh agik tima. Ingat balik masa Tirai Akademi Fantasia and recall back their lives before Akademi.

Mengada lak dia ni...mmm...playing the cute card ler ni. Well...all I can say is, Faizal may be one of the leaders now, but it can backfire anytime and people leh meluat.

Here's hoping Faizal leh natural and not overplay the drama.

Cam time dia keluar telo (betul ka ejaan...cam telur lak...obscene rasanya) Ganu dia...I mean, aku rasa at times dia overexaggerate it because it sets him apart. I think it's sexy when someone has a East Coast or East Malaysian... Indonesian..even Filipino accent...but you see there is a danger of overdoing it in the attempt not to blend in..

To the production lak, harapnya meka sedar kalao terlebih fokus pada satu pelajar, pelajar tuh mungkin akan menjadi mangsa overexposure. So cut back on Faizal ok. And beef up on content sebab like one blogger says, "Diari AF4 so far mmg bosan giler. Tatau la sapa in their right mind would ever want to watch such super dull super uninteresting stuff mcm ni (except family depa kot), klu bukan nak buat recap ni mmg saya dah tertidur depan TV tu."

Well...I suppose they're trying to keep up that proud tradition.

Apapun...nak habihkan keja and ciao...before I log in to ebay...
