Dalam nak mengumumkan masjid dibina, terpaksa gak aku nak share news pasal pengumuman rumahtangga yang tak dapat bertahan. Nama pon jodoh kan...

Wanted to share Nana and Brian's wedding pics today. But I have to start off with headline dalam Harian Metro hari ni mengenai penceraian Sarimah dan Andrew @ Amir.

Actually since their divorce in December, memang banyak Sarimah hint, dan aku sendiri pun tahu secara sah dari mulut dia sendiri a couple of weeks now.

Benda camni kalao kita hidu pun, tak elok nak tanya.

Tapi tu yang marah sangat aku ada je dalam emo Akademi Fantasia, ada yang nak bising carut pasal Sarimah punya performance. The truth is, she was holding a lot inside that people didn't know, and yet dia masih terus put on a smile every night when people tuned into Diari Akademi Fantasia. And that takes helluva lot of strength for any woman!

Kalao korang ingat ada entry yang aku mintak Sarimah tabah... tu yang aku rasa part paling down skali tengok dia. And korang ingat tak video aku letak pasal last day kat Akademi - yang kita semua terjah dia nak celebrate last episode? You don't know the pain behind the smile.

But she's a strong woman, and I respect her for not allowing anyone's, her's or Andrew's names to be dragged through the mud, despite the divorce and to remain strong through all of this.

Babe, my prayers are with you, and God willing, ko akan temu jodoh ko gak one day.

Until then keep soldiering on. Lagikpon, we're neighbours now, so pop over for a cuppa je anytime. Heh... geng Mont Kiara unite!

Masa sampai, since didn't know a lot of her family members and close friends, sought safety in the room je masa Nana tengah preparation. Time tuh kita sampai I think was 9am, so baru start preparation. The thing about her wedding was simple, yet elegant with a homely feel. I like!

Tak sempat makan, Nana's BFF (best friend forever gituh) si Fara pun nak suapkan sikit. Heh... last-last Nana tanak (sebab pre-wedding jitters kan, susah nak telan apa-apa), si Fara pon melantak dulu. Yerlah... sibuk wo jadik bridesmaid. Tengok Fara aktif sangat smalam.

Yang aku makan hati bab hantaran tuh, bukan the ring ke apa. Tapi the combination of the RM10,000 Gibson guitar, the distortion pedal dan Ray Ban. Very the rocker punya hantaran. Tapi rocker jaga rupa ok dan pentingkan dandanan diri, siap ngan kelengkapan DKNY.

Anyway, tengah snappy hantaran, layan si Hazri (Hazrey... however you spell it lah). First time jumpa - perkahwinan Mawi kat JB. Ala... insiden kecoh tuh... kecian time tuh kena halau (oops... seb baik orang bertanggungjawab menghalau da tak keja ngan Astro or subsidiaries da). Second time jumpa masa kat Taib Andak for the sanding there.

Anyway, couldn't resist it. Nampak dia dan geng kru TV3 Johor je, terus molot aku automatic bertanya, "Hai... dapat hak eksklusif tak?" Matilah! Heh... saja je...

Dengan dua kali lafaz, it was done. Nurul Hana Che Mahazan dengan Mohd Raqeem Brian Abdullah were married. Aku nak gelak time tuh.

Brian nervous abih sebenarnya, and imam pon lajus je cakap sampai dia tak follow. Tak silap, time dia cakap tuh, instead of "RM22.50 tunai..." Brian said "Dua puluh ringgit tunai setengah". Takpe... nervous ya amats dua orang ni. I guess all of us there were feeling it too. Cam tak caya dua orang nih da bersatu da.

Nana excited gila time da lafaz as we heard in the room, she punched the air, and went, "YES!!!!!". Heh! Takpe... dalam bilik leh gila sikit. Dalam sekelip mata, mood dia tetiba sebak lak! Haiyo! Dari excited jadik emo lak. Rosak make-up!

Tuh dia... rosak eyeliner tuh. Merasalah mascara waterproof tak?

Again, Nana and Brian. Congratulations. Semoga kekal ke anak cucu cicit bagai ek. And Nana, thanks for your hospitality masa aku kat Muar. Also to your beautiful family for making me feel so at home, walaopon rambut aku mengundang seribu jelingan. Merasalah!

Selamat pengantin baru Nana dan Brian

Reached Muar at about 1am. Letih gila. Mana taknya last minute rush ke sana. Ingat nak gerak ke Muar pagik esok je. But because ingat convoy skali ngan Famee yang bergerak dari Senawang, so decided to just leave early sebab bukan tau jalan pon.

I had the other option of nak ikut team dari Era berlepas pagi esok, but I thought I'd be even more tired to go to Muar and back within just a few short hours.

Sampai kat Muar, tumpang bilik si Belle and Famee. Wanted to get my own room, but Nana pon kata no rooms available in all the hotels which were fully booked. So ok jerk.

Yang aku nak gelak, Belle cakap, "Eh, dah la ada wedding Nana.... pastu ada satu lagi wedding selang beberapa rumah dari Nana. So semua hotel da fully booked."

Ok, I know what she meant, with the school holidays and all. But can't help nak gelak sebab what does it say for Muar kalao ada wedding dua je, terus fully booked katanya semua hotel kat Muar. Amik ko.

Owh by the way. If you're driving to Muar tengah malam buta... take note, pas tol kuar ke Muar tuh... very the sesuatuh.

Aku masa da exit tol, kan masuk kiri kan? Gerak depan sikit, tetiba ada bau pelik. Harum semerbak katanya. And it wasn't from me either!

Sebab bak keta sorang (Famee naik keta dia kat depan tunjuk jalan), aku diam wat bodoh. The smell got so bad, terpaksa lower the windows (walaopon bau datang dari luar) and had a smoke.

Less than 100 metres or so from the spot the smell began, noticed a sign on the right, which I only noticed one word. Crematorium. Erm...

Masa nak balik tadik, perasan yang the same stretch, but on the other side of the road, rupanya tanah perkuburan. Aiyo... patutla rasa pelik semacam je masa smalam ngan bau pelik tuh and all. Oh well.. just another weird experience. Jangan muncul depan depan da...

Back to the event, the tunang ceremony and akad nikah pulled off without a hitch, but I'm saving the pics for tomorrow's entry, so korang sabar je menunggu ok. Lots of pics.

Sebenarnya spent time with Nana in the room, so when Brian arrived tak banyak yang aku snap pon. More with Nana and her preparation throughout the whole do.

Headed back to KL petang. Didn't stay for the sanding which more people from KL were at. Too many people... and the weather was unforgivingly HOT!

Reached home, had a shower... and ni nak tidur. Ngantuk sangat... later...

Pesta Malam Indonesia 3

One of the best events I went to last year was the Pesta Malam Indonesia 2.

Gila, tak happening??!!! Ada Samsons dan Sheila On 7! Of course there were so many other acts like Ungu, Peterpan and Slank which are definite favourites in my book as well... and Dewi Dewi.

Tapi serious aku moshing gila masa Samsons dan Sheila sebab memang I know every song from them since gilakan meka dari zaman dahulukala (macam betul jerk)

If you guys read my past entry, you would know just how much fun it was. Walaopon ada yang kata venue ketika tuh kat Bukit Kiara Equestrian Park jauh dan tak kena, in reality, that is still one of the best spots to freak out. Nama pon pesta... kena la festival vibe sikit with wide open spaces and a humongous stage to kick things off kan. Do I even need to mention the kick-ass bands?

And the tickets were more than affordable, so masa tuh aku ingat agik kita turun berempat.

Walaopon pas opening number Dewi Dewi finished mula hujan, just before Samsons came on, takde hal! Semangat meka performing, honestly was worth getting drenched for.

I stayed on almost to the end, tapi missed out on Slank who was last, sebab dah tak larat by that time. Serious... it takes serious energy to get down with the crowd. Energy running high the whole day... and night.

For those yang are wondering what the hey is Pesta Malam Indonesia, it's actually a music festival bringing together the hottest Indonesian acts on one stage.
The first was April 2006 with Dewa, Gigi, Padi, Ada Band, Cokelat, Ungu, Ratu and Ari Lasso.

The second was in August 2008 as mentioned with Dewi Dewi, Samsons, Sheila On 7, Ungu, Peterpan, Slank. Local guests were Hujan dan Meet Uncle Hussain.




This year on 20 June, Dewa, Padi dan Gigi will make a comeback on the PMI stage, sekali Sheila On 7 from last year, while Andra & The Backbone will be making their debut at the festival. Aku and Jinbara are the local guests.

I've caught a lot of Dewa's performances, so I know what kind of show they can put on. Ditto for Gigi. Read : amazing! Yang aku tunggukan kali nih is Padi sebab da lama tak nampak meka onstage sini, and also Andra & The Backbone (nak sangat layan lagu Sempurna).

And of course... Sheila On 7. Need I say more. Cue Wayne and Garth.. "We're not worthy.. we're not worthy!!!"

They came on after Samsons last year.. perghhh!!! Best gila!







Why the need for this long entry. Sebab aku nak party out this year without any bullshit.

Tiap kali ada je Pesta Malam Indonesia nih ada yang banyak songeh. Ramai rasa tegugat. Then some will talk about patriotism. Puh-lease la guys. We are Malaysian. Period!

Tapi music is without any geographical boundaries. So why limit ourselves. These acts are the best from Indonesia. Let's enjoy music as it is - in any form or language. So guys come on out and rock! Heh... promo sangat kan. Tapi aku memang hyped pasal Pesta Malam Indonesia.

Yang sapa nak kecoh pasal pekerja asing saja pergi, seriously... you need a head check. Last time I was there were helluva lot of Malaysian there enjoying themselves. Didn't make them any less Malaysians,just like it doesn't when you attend Avril, Linkin Park or even Stefanie Sun (matilah aku tetiba lari ke sana)

But seriously though, if you guys can make it, check the show out. It's a whole day event, so korang takleh cam aku. Learn to pace yourself or you'll burn out before the end of the night. I know sponsors TM will be opening their booths to promote their iTalk products. Tapi yang besh nya, beli dapat meet the bands, so more info on that opportunity later.

Semalam plan nak ke Anak Wayang, but was too lazy to go catch Pentas Anak Wayang cause letih gila, terlopong depan laptop je jawabnya.

I have finally sorted out the office. Semalam rush nak apply for phone lines, internet connection, Astro connection.... the nitty gritty. So definitely esok and hari Isnin settle je, things will be up and running.

Sorry la takde masa sangat nak posting entry panjang lebar seperti biasa. Bear with me for just a couple of days sebab aku kalao kat rumah kat Klang online biasa je. Tapi bila dok rumah Mont Kiara lom ada internet connetion leceh sikit.

Go Clean Your Room

Have you guys ever been in a war zone?

Well, short of working for CNN or some wire news service where you get paid obscene amounts to do so (salute Peter Arnett), I doubt it kan?

Tapi kan, here's some exclusive pics of one war zone that you'll never see elsewhere. It's in our very own country, in the beautiful state of Selangor.... and it's in MY room!

Orang mesti malu gila kalao nak tunjuk bilik bersepah kan? But hey... it's me. Dah sah-sah aku takde masa sangat nak berkemas bagai (alasan hebat tak?) But honestly, this is the downside of being a shopaholic. You spend, spend and spend.. and then you realise you have more stuff than actual room. So it all ends up everywhere.

What can I say. At last count, I have more almost 300 pairs of jeans (everything from old school stuff from Gouche, Cross Colors and Kani to Levis, Guess, Armani, D&G and Cavalli), picked up from sales, flea markets and very expensive retail outlets (ni time possessed sebab ada duit, by impulse).

Dare I mention t-shirts? I have WAY too many of those, since my whole uniform in years of working revolves around t-shirt and jeans attire saja.

Ever since I picked up the craze of going jackets-crazy, I have now amassed about 30 in total and counting (I love my Ermenegildo Zegna and my Armani Black Label as well as my Gap and Guess ones... aiyak.. I love them all lah)

So imagine all that, about over 2000 CDs, hundreds of books, retro toys from ebay and many more weird items... all in one room... and you get? My room. A virtual war zone!

Stuff everywhere. And I used to be so neat. Not that I don't want to be. Cuma serious kan, dalam rushing kekadang, pull stuff out here and there, and then end up having things all over, and the mess just builds up, and you end up not having the strength to clean up.

But lo and behold. The answer to my prayers!

Was shopping for my home office furniture as you guys know, and came across IKEA's Storage Weeks. I laughed at first, cam tak caya ada Go Clean Your Room contest.

Basically, the first part of the contest is to find the top 5 most 'deserving' winners (aka messiest, unorganised room). All you have to do is snap a pic of any room in your home (jangan snap jamban or your garden dah) that deserves a makeover, upload it on the IKEA website and let them know why YOU (not me... though I think I should win hands down) deserve to win. Simple kan? The catch is, you have to lobby and get EVERYONE you know to vote for you. Either that or convince the public you've been living in a sty or even cry on the video to get them to vote for you. Kira that will help plead your case la you really need help big time in the space management part of your life! Based on that alone, you will get extra points based on that, when the final judging is done by IKEA.

The contest which runs from 28 May to 17 June will have five lucky winners who will each take home RM2,000 IKEA vouchers. Aku nak!!!

Then the top five nih will vie for Grand Prize of RM5,000 IKEA vouchers in the next level of competition where people will vote for the 'most transformed' room (aka from war zone to Switzerland - or in the case of IKEA, Sweden - I love Abba!). Semalam naik gila lagik. Total damage ikut ribu siot! First kat Nilai 3, and then ke Ikea. Damn!!! No more shopping for me after this! I swear! This is the last trip... for a while at least!

Gila ke haper. Aiyo!!! Anyway, started shopping about lunch at 1pm. Between Nilai 3 and Ikea, finished about 9pm! Kaki da nak patah masa tuh.

Once settle semua, dengan kereta cam moving truck penuh dengan barang, rushed to Subang to join the kids for futsal.

Adila and gang da ada, also Obri and Co. (sekali ngan Boolat dan Nadia). Layan tengok bebudak je main futsal, takde maknanya aku nak perasan konsep Gol Dan Gincu tengah letih nih. Followed by Akim dan family dia pastuh.

Met Imadean, pembaca blog dan chatter kat sini. Merasalah peminat Fazura yang paling fanatik (betul kan???) Heh!!!...

Hum hum hum

Heaven for shopaholics


After planning for a few days to go Nilai, finally tengahari smalam aku managed to make my way there. Damn the place is huge!

Seriously, you really can find almost anything there. From furniture to furnishings, electrical items, textile... you name it, they have it, at ridiculous prices.

Aku pening sat sampai. Decided to just keep to my mission. Check out the lighting shops.

Found some nice stuff. Survey harga je hari ni.

After done, gerk gi Ampang to check out some lighting shops and terkejut beruk. The same chandelier I saw selling for perhaps Rm300 plus, was selling at about RM3000. Ada yang tiga empat kali harga, but other items like this gila babiks punya melayang harga tak masuk akal.

That's it. I'm coming back here tomorrow to get the lighting fixtures I need. Memang murah gila!!!

The H3 Hummer memang cantik gila! Siap ngan chrome vents on the hood, aku terus berdiri tengok je keta nih. Cam tak betol lak aku nih.

Whatever... this is my dream car, and yes, I promise myself on day I will own it.

Whoever the owner is (I black out the number plate) obviously didn't have much sense, parking it at the entrance of a parking lot where there was no designated are. But I guess if you're driving a Hummer, the regular rules don't apply to you. Then again, if I was driving a Hummer, I wouldn't bring it into an area like this where the risk of it being scratched for lack of space, is a very real threat.

Aduh... nak nak nak!!!

Pastu ke Ikea for one last survey harga (esok last shopping day nak bebetol beli semua pas puas hati apa aku nak beli in my last shopping wave sebab the furniture delivery, electrician and handyman coming to the office tomorrow so have get everything sorted out)

Then picked up Juan, and headed to Kajang ke rumah Che Lin nak lepak sebab Akim call ajak mai. Plan nak keluar beramai-ramai. Obri pun back in town, and Aril pon free. But semua tak jadi.

Last-last lepak ngan Akim jap borak benda nak iron out.

Came back quite early about midnight tadi sebab hari ni full day.

Faz da start sibuk Anak Wayang. Siang ni dia ada photography for EH magazine tak silap aku or something like that. Then another kat Harian Metro... and so on. Will try and catch up with her either before shopping kalao sempat, or after everything done.

Adila lak mesej ajak main futsal (matilah aku main futsal). For geng bebudak keluarga Fantasia and team Fantasia malam nih, so that should be fun. Will try to make it. Will post an entry later on, on that kalao sempat.

It's Monday and I'm going shopping

You read right. It's Monday and I'm going to Nilai to pick up some stuff. After delaying the trip for days now, hari ni sebab da cukup rehat, and aku pun takde apa nak wat hari nih, am leaving in a short while to shop my ass off. Again.

Seb baik da cukup tidur. Kalau tak seriously malas.

Semalam dapat inspiration sikit masa dinner gathering kengkawan kat rumah Sarimah. Yes, girl.. rumah ko gave me some ideas.

My sis and I, new residents of Mont Kiara gituh, joined Sarimah and a few friends for a dinner get-together, makan makan and borak-borak kat umah dia semalam. Lepak pon sampai hampir 3 pagik. Matilah!

Malas nak snap pics sebab tak bawak camera. but did use my phone to capture the thing I love most about Sarimah's place. Her cat! Here's Miss Molly.
