Bebanyak pic abang Ramli nih tuk Syd dari forum Cari kerana dia sorang jer lah peminat setia fanatik gila punya pengetua AF baru. Juga ada youtube baru tuk korang.

Ni interview ngan abang Ramli. Kelakar la abih dia nih. Seronok la for sure Akademi Fantasia kali nih... and probably better to layan in terms of quality.

Speaking of yesterday, I really have to b****h about this.

So I put up that announcement about Akademi Fantasia jer biasa lah kalao online YM pun start lah kena buzz ngan ntah sapa semua. Tak kisah lah. Aku jenis tak reti nak invisible kan diri aku dan layan jerk kalao mampu..

So what happens is several people start asking me stuff related to Akademi Fantasia. Guys, apa aku tulis tuh, that's what I can say. What makes you think I'd hold back? Cuma how I say it tu is up to me la. Pepandai la read between the lines.

Anyway, this person from Brunei pun tanya aku soalan sama. So I just said read my blog. Thrice the query, thrice the answer.

So he drew up his own conclusion that it was someone I said didn't have a hope in hell. Which I then corrected and said, I expected the person not to be possible and said it was Ramli.

To which suddenly I was told off saying why didn't I just say so.

Erm... ok weirdo.

Look, I just mentioned read my blog three times. Which part of that don't you understand.

Apparently, he caught my announcement off my YM status and didn't bother reading despite being told so, konon nak tanya direct. Well alrighty then... the least you could do is not irritate me and just bloody equip yourself and THEN bug me kan?

Nope... instead I get a response that my blog is in English (er... sejak bila lak... I always thought it was bilingual) and dia kata dia tak paham so malas nak baca.

Ok you know what dude... that just sucks for you then.

Pastu dia marah marah saying I was rude and started swearing his right testicle off in Bruneian or Swahili or something that probably sounds similar.

Dude!!!!! I know the entertainment scene there is kind of deprived... but don't get worked up about it.Sheesh!

Anyway dia keep swearing and calling me rude, and started saying about how Malaysians are naturally like that blah blah blah. Which was ok with me... cause first of all, everyone is a little rude, when dealing with idiots. Patience has its limitations ma.

Yeah well, I wasn't going to stoop that low, though a hearty F**K YOU was in order. So aku cakap kalao aku offend dia aku mintak maap, but I did not resort to rude or foul language and did take time to reply politely and that it wasn't my fault he didn't read the entry first kan.

Matilah aku kena hamun lagik. What the... geez! Sexually represssed some people are...

So aku did the simplest thing. Apologised one more time and removed him from my list which at last glance I caught his status as 'the f**k rude people' or something like that. Yeah grammatically that doesn't make sense too.

Deleted him from my list and placed on Ignore and felt better. Eew!

Realised two things.

One, my motto of ignorance is bliss, and stupidity is contagious stands. So rather than be infected, just ignore these swine chuggers. If you suck at English, then freaking learn! Nama jer professional dan berangan jer lebih tapi marah marah orang sebab tak paham bahasa. Erm... two words dude. And I hope you understand them - real well.. F**K YOU!!!

Secondly... it's Akademi Fantasia season again. So pada semua kengkawan baca blog nih, bersedialah langau, lalat dan binatang tak diundang masuk meroyan sini ek.

Ok lar...nak abihkan keja sikit (walaupon cuti). Esok banyak paperwork project nak abihkan.

Erm.. offer kedua masuk, tapi yang ni secara lisan. Competitor lak. I really have to decide soon what I'm going to do.

Nak sambung wat keja for now dalam izzi yang kecoh ngan sekumpulan makhluk meryerupai manusia yang celebrate brithday sambil jerit cam kena cabut telor nih.

Akademi Fantasia 6

Kenapa aku start this entry with the above question? Senang jer,.. sebenarnya, ada sumber aku da mengatakan, esok, sidang media untuk Akademi Fantasia nih bukan saja tuk maklumkan mengenai ujibakat.

Al kisahnya, pengetua juga akan diperkenalkan. Betul ke tak? Tak pasti. Itu mengikut sumber aku.

Ada lagi... aku jugak dengar pengetua kali ni 'repeat performance', iaitu adalah antara pengetua Akademi Fantasia yang lepas! So walaopon nama Ogy dan Tiara ada disebut kononnya lah meka akan menjawat posisi tuh, my sources say otherwise.

Kalao betol lah khabar angin tuh - siapa antara lima bekas pengetua yang terima tugasan tuh?
Musim pertama Akademi Fantasia menampilkan Freddie Fernandez, which was followed by Ramli M.S., M.Nasir, Ramli Sarip and then Roslan Aziz.

Now yang lain nih speculation jerk ek dari aku sendiri.

Kalao betol antara lima nih... here's who I think will be the new principal of Akademi Fantasia.

Freddie Fernandez
Aku rasa kemungkinan tak. Selain sibuk dengan tugas di Maestro Talent & Management, Freddie juga baru diberi tugas sebagai pengerusi or chairman, of the organising committee of AIM 2008 dan juga AIM 2009. Dalam kesibukannya, aku rasa susah kot kalao yer pun dia ditawar tugas tuh dari segi nak fulfill responsibility nya.

Ramli M.S.
Walaupun abang Ramli da deny ngan aku (baca paper esok) tapi aku rasa dia la the most likely candidate... KALAU dia yang tak reject offer. Sebab memang dia berat nak amik tugasan tuh lagik selama ni pun sebab beban tugas. Tambah lagik Anugerah Juara Lagu semakin dekat - dan sapa lagik nak jadik musical director yang meletop?

But track record dia still the best - sebab dia yang masih mempunyai paling ramai anak didik yang masih berada dalam industri POST Akademi Fantasia, thus being the most successful, and possibly the most popular so far.

So will he? I hope.In fact, I think a lot of us hope too.

Of course konon Aduh Saliha nak start balik penggambaran bulan Mac nih. But with all the problems production is facing, silap silap filem tu terus bungkus. Kalau tak, camna lak bulan tiga kang nak shooting nak ulang alik dari Sabah nak jaga bebudak skali nak hadirkan diri konsert dan sebagainya.

Ramli Sarip
Antara semua pengetua, as much as I love Papa Rock as an artiste, dia yang paling gagal skali. Mana taknya. Musim keempat Akademi Fantasia paling hambar.

Hardly think he will make a return. Kalao Astro nak gak.. no komen lah. Matilah senyum kambing.

Roslan Aziz
Er... takyah ulas lebih. Ada sumber kata confirm bukan dia.

Selain dari lima bekas pengetua di atas tuh, what is the probability of Ogy or Tiara possibly becoming the first pengetua?

Well here's how I size them up.

Fauziah Ahmad Daud
Banyaknya speku melibatkan kak Ogy nih. Dari pengacara mengganti Aznil berentap ngan Sarimah dan Zainal Alam Kadir, hingga ke pengetua. Tapi memang ada ura ura awal awal da mengatakan dia favourite pun for the job as principal.

Mungkin ke tidak - I think professionally it is possible.

Still - camna ngan muzikal Akademi Fantasia yang dia kata dia nak terbitkan tuh?

And kalao tol dia pengetua, I'm sure Astro will be more hard pressed to find another candidate selain Alam dan Sarimah kan? AC Mizal? Ehem...

Tiara Jacquelina
Possible in terms of adulation. With the overrated success of Puteri Gunung Ledang and P. Ramlee The Musical, it would make sense that Astro nak sambar dia for publicity's sake.

Suspen lagik bila muzikal Tuah di tangguh konon lewat 2008 jerk akan dipentaskan. Also bila dikatakan second run of P. Ramlee The Musical yang patutnya dipentas kan bulan dua ke bulan tiga dikatakan called off.

Will she be heading the Akademi?

Likely... but only kalao Ramli M.S. tolak the post. Kira dia second choice for the post after Ramli.

So, rasanya nama kat atas tuh kena ke tak? Who knows? Astro nih susah nak predict.

Sometimes their reasons defy logic, but analisa aku based on just that, so it could end up very flawed.

Apapon, esok meka dikatakan akan umumkan, aku update ASAP. Also beberapa surprise dikatakan akan diumumkan.

Of course one is supposedly the increase of age limit from the maximum 27 tahun skang. Yang lainnya - no komen. Kita tunggu dan lihat. Wait for my update!


PS - Tenaga pengajar dan pengacara Akademi Fantasia baru kisahnya tidak akan di announce esok, so don't ask me. I'l tell you if they pull off another surprise and do that.

Mek & Donald

Hari ni punyalah malas sebenarnya nak kuar ke apa. Rasa nak guling guling kat katil jerk. Sekali sekala bebetul day off nih yang besh. Tapi had to go to 1 Utama tuk sidang media dan juga showcase Anugerah Juara Lagu 22.

Mak aih... decor centre court area tuh cam ada majlis perkahwinan lak. Tema sesuatuh sangat.




I didn't watch the showcase sebab dok luar sembang tempat meka ada reception. Cuma sempat layan si Faizal nyanyi Mahakarya Cinta jerk.

Tak semua artis yang layak hadir ari nih. Of course yang missing yang nama nama paling besau like Siti, Mawi and Jac sebab memasing ada komitment... biasalah Saturday nih mesti show berlambak. Ada lak yang belah awal.. so nih jerk pics yang aku sempat amik of those yang hadir.





Ramai woo yang menyerbu gak. Sampai naik claustrophobic aku. So edged away slowly. Ni part of the crowd yang menyerbu. Do you spot yourselves in it?



Hah ni ada sorang agik artis yang lupa tempek pic. Heh... kalao korang tak cam takper. Sebenarnya nih kak Kelly dari TV3.

She's an executive producer (sorry kak kalao pangkat salah!!!!)

Saja je sakat dia nak amik pic dia. Dia nih kira star gak sebab menjadi tumpuan ramai. And tak nak ketinggalan photo op kak Kelly. Matilah aku!!!

Arghhh... ampun kak Kelly, mencarut!!! Anyhoo, after we were done, ingat nak join si Farihad and gang sambung shopping tapi dok sembang sembang ditinggalkan lak.

Erm... dilema baru. Patut ker aku dok tempat aku skang ke, amik tawaran yang lebih lumayan yang mendatang.

Masaalahnya, nak join the corporate culture tak larat aku. Argh! Nak very the protocol gituh nak pakai kemeja and slacks, kekadang tie and suit... campur lagik dalam keadaan camtuh kena kiss ass boss besau semua. Camnih nih. Nak ke tanak. Kalau amik, mewah ler hidop... siap ada ramai ler staff sendiri... tapi... sanggup ker aku nak korbankan keselesaan aku to be who I am for now?

Major dilemma... so tak nak pikir wat skang. Kalao reseki ada tak kemana. It come with so many pros and cons. Apart from the money, and having a team of my own, I'd also be able to make some of my ideas a reality.

The downside is aku kena dress more corporate (no more weird hair, piercings or t shirt and jeans), pandai bodek orang atasan as well as have my ideas mangled more than occasionally.
But the money's good.

Well... all of us have to grow up sometime. So kena seriously consider lah nih. Just that aku risau kang tak happy tak tahan lak. Because it means restricting who I am for the sake of a paycheck.
To shake the burden of the offer made by a kind soul who shall remain anonymous, aku pun jejalan la shopping carik birthday present tuk Maz. Suka taw last minute.

Seb baik ada sale! Everywhere was on sale. Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridge, Guess, but finally settle for Topshop sebab lebih pada selera dressing Maz.

Picked out three tops after nearly two hours deliberation.

Extra tuh nak bagik sis aku. Matilah alasan kalao nak shopaholic kan?


Realised I hadn't eaten anything the whole day, so popped down to the fast food outlets. Bumped into Datuk Farid Redzuan and family. Bought some snacks, tapi didn't get to eat much, no thanks to the wonderful view I got below.



Sped back to Shah Alam, picked up Boo and joined Maz and friends for her birthday celebration. Didn't know a lot of them. Just a few like Maz herself, Ema and Lara among the all-girl crowd.

Sial jerk si Anas, Wandie dan Mozac tak sempat mai seperti dijanjikan. Anyway, happy birthday Maz! Semakin kertu ko!

After that gi jenjalan ngan Boo pastuh, Uptown Downtown. Last last ke Danau Kota punya night market, headed straight for a pet shop located nearby. I'd been meaning to get this for ages, for Boo.

What did I buy?



Bought a pair of Russian Winter mini hamsters (at least I think that's the right species name). Also a cage, food pellets, pine shavings, vitamins etc.

Spent about RM107 total package. But the joy - PRICELESS!!!
Pastu ke tempat keja Ayien (selamat pengantin baru!!!) where we met Juan to lepak which was a McDonalds along a highway where he's manager.

Started fitting stuff together and all, and siapkan air dan makanan dan sebagainya.

Comel ok cage mini hamsters ni. Everything lengkap. From a small house, to a slide, to a wheel, food area as well as tempat minum air.

Mini hamsters aku nih, sepasang jantan dan betina start exploring la.

Yang jantan tuh dok tido je keja. Yang betina tuh hyper sampai tak hengat. Pine shavings went flying all over immediately sebab dia sibuk gali sana gali sini. Cam kesial.

But had a laugh alright. So I guess this was an okay buy for my Boo. Thank goodness I changed my mind from the sugar glider, the tarantula, the scorpion, the albino python and the whip snake.

Matilah kalao bak ke mana mana pets lain aku tuh, mau ada nya yang pengsan kan?

Anyway, sempena 'pembinaan' rumah dan sangkar meka, we named the hamsters after McDonalds.

That and another reason la.

Yang betina tuh nama Mek (matilah...tapi elok dari Markonah, Tumirah dan pelbagai lagik nama pelik di suggest oleh Boo dan si Juan)

Antara sebabnya sebab dia kuat menyepah bebenda dalam sangkar tuh. Er... go work it out.

Yang jantan tuh sebab dia reserved dan pendiam (actually keja makan tido je like most males), dinamakan Donald. Konon kelas sikt la...

Walaupun.

Tengok pic sebelah nih. Comel tak? Sori ler tak clear sangat, sebab digicam aku tak muat dalam sangkar gituh for a really good shot.

So in the end kena pakai gak mobile phone aku tuk snap. Aren't they just cute? Time ni meka tidur. Well, Donald yang kat bawah tuh was... si Mek ala ala romantic baring atas Donald jerk... tapi kejap kejap jaga (with probably the thought of stupoid humans taking my photos!)

Yawn... we stayed up and had supper AND breakfast at McDonalds' (matilah Supersize Me!)

Movie marathon!

Skipped management meeting today sebab malas nak dapat info - for reasons obvious yang aku didn't want to spoil the weekend and my cuti with any potential bad news.

Not that it could, not only because no real bad news was announced, but also Naomi called me and said next Friday, I get to interview Hayden Panettiere otherwise known as Claire Bennet in Heroes by phone. For a Heroes fan, this is what I call a Christmas present!!!

Don't take my word for it, but Star World is apparently trying to bring Hayden as well as Milo Ventimiglia aka Peter Petrelli down here (tatau ler Malaysia or Singapore) to promote Volume II of Heroes which will begin on Star World over Astro on January 27, kalau tak silap.

Jadik ke tak aku pun tak berani confirm, but it's nice to know that at least they're trying to. Should pretty much complete my favourites from the show after meeting Sendhil (Suresh), Masi (Hiro), Greg (Matt) and Ali (Niki/Jessica) in Singapore.

Nevermind the fact that I've already watched the whole Volume II already... still am a Heroes fan and can't wait for Volume III!

Apart from that - decided to take the day off from any events, hingga Media Nite Media Prima pon aku tak gi.

Instead, went psycho and went for movie marathon. First movie I caught was I Am Legend. Amazing stuff. The BEST movie for 2008 I've watched!

Well developed, never mind this is the third film adaptation of the 1954 novel. Despite changing bits here and there, losing some sense compared to the original story, it was still amazing! Will Smith deserves a damn Oscar for his acting.

After all - he was the only acting character for something like 95% of the movie, and still he managed to hold my attention. Felt like I was in apocalyptic New York with him.

Damn... it wasn't like really scary - but I have to say memang terkejut banyak. Cam sial!!!

Sampai aku sumpah ranah sebab asik melompat out of shock.

Obviously I wasn't the only one as Boo and Vern pun camtuh gak, as well as EVERYONE else in the cinema. Awesome s**t!!! Make sure, if there's one movie you want to catch this year, this is it. Well worth the ticket!

Just make sure you can handle the shocks... banyak kejutan!

And by the way people - this is not a 'zombie' film. It's more of a vampire flick, though not your conventional take of the blood suckers.



After Vern left to get his beauty sleep (not that it helps at all from the evidence I've seen) Boo and I ke the next cinema hall to watch Alvin And The Chipmunks.

Ok, so I have to admit. Being 31 (yes, yes, I know... 32 this year!), Alvin And The Chipmunks was actually in my cassette collection when I was growing up. Being able to sing The Chipmunk Christmas Song is such a betrayal to being at least 30!

It was good movie... from the nostalgic point of view. CGI and all it was worth a watch, but only if you like cute chipmunks running about.

Storyline was pretty weak though and didn't like the fact that they obviously didn't put much thought into making it less cliched. Still, enjoyed it, as it was more laid back instead of I Am Legend where I think I suffered multiple heart attacks!

At least, watching a live action version completes my nostalgia for all thngs 80s. They could have actually had the chipmunks look like this... but that God they didn't!

Yawn... sleepy! Got to go 1 Utama esok for an Anugerah Juara Lagu PC and showcase so off to get some rest.

Oh by the way... got some thrilling info on developments for Akademi Fantasia 6!!!

Mmmm... PC dia Isnin nih, tapi maklumat dari sumber-sumber aku memang mengejutkan in a way!

Aku takkan cakap lebih for now. Tengok la... either my entry on Sunday ke Monday aku reveal just BEFORE the press conference sebab tanak pecah lobang terlalu awal.

Debaran!

Management meeting tomorrow. Submitted work dah... so lounged for most parts of the day. Met my Boo. Dia dah start kuliah da... so time kami mostly back to dinners cam sebelom dia cuti.
Tenang sikit hati bila dekat ngan orang tersayang. Hung out with Juan for supper with my Boo dekat area office dia kat Pandan.

Ari nih memang no mood sangat. Bukan malas. Just... well... out of it.

Spent a lot of time in front of my laptop reading up Cloverfield, the MOST anticipated movie of 2008! For those of you who don't know anything about it... boy, you're missing out! It starts 18 January, but don't know when it opens in Malaysia. Hopefully very soon.


The publicity for the movie started some six months ago with the appearance of a few sites, and since then, the pre publicity for this movie is simply amazing. A tie with with a fictitious drink called Slusho has appeared on several TV programmes including last Volume's Heroes.




Aku malas nak cakap lebih pasal the movie sebab banyak sangat cita nak share kalao aku start kang. So aku link the info for you guys to read. It's quite interesting. Note the teaser site linked below, only has pics on it. But you can move them and flip them for an insight of sorts.

I wonder

Today was a weird day for me. In the office, there was this cloud of uncertainty looming over everyone's heads about the takeover happening to the company.

Oh well.. actually dah berapa minggu camni.. but suppose the end of the holidays made everyone think more about it.

Me?

Had a good day really noticing things about the office. May be deciding to leave if things don't go as hoped for. Aku dah enam setengah tahun di sini, and coming up to twelve years in journalism.

Maybe it's time for a change. After all, all my plans for 2008 - maybe this is the sign to really go full throttle now. Not sure yet. Will see how the meeting on Friday goes with management first.

First thing to settle into today was my overtime claims and paperwork for taking time off... my annual leave. Bengang sebab lebih dua puluh hari burn camtuh jer dari annual leave aku yang left over from 2006. Aduh!!! Memang tak sempat camna. Rugi jerk. Dah ler takde financial compensation. Merasalah!

Took comfort in the fact that I still had about a month's worth of leave left over from 2007, so submitted leave for for two weeks cuti cuti Malaysia to begin next Monday.

So once finished that off, saja waste time sikit nak snap pics all over the office - yerlah... KALAU aku make up my mind nak leave kang, ada gak kenangan.

Tengok nih... my colleagues... Aqidah dan si Shuhaidah. Serious semacam. Pondering story apa tuh sampai serious sangat?

Merasalah! Sebenarnya tengah layan Australia's Next Top Model Cycle 3 kat laptop aku! Leh? Note to bosses : this was taken after... erm... 6pm, officially after work hours - so erm... nevermind.


Sebelah nih, Adly, editor bahagian hiburan sibuk sangat bekerja. Focus gila kat monitor sampai nak naik juling. Especially bila dia perasan aku nak snap pic. Maintain katanya. Nak cover line wat keja lah tuh.


Yerlah tuh... sebenarnya mesti sibuk poking someone ke bagik cupcake kat Facebook (and no, guys... I have not succumbed to Facebook yet sebab tak kuasa nak bebanyak benda alah nih).

My desk, which is the most gorgeous temple to campiness was a mess sebab aku sibuk wat paperwork halfway masa amik gambar nih... so don't mind the heap. Man... I'm sure going to miss my workspace, my second home kalao aku pindah kang.

Sempat bukak blog tuh nak jawab mesej.

Owh..make that five... cause I forgot the centrepiece of sorts. I forgot my Fire Dragon, part of Todd McFarlane's collectibles.


Yes, I love my work area. By the way... my Fire Dragon conceals my sound system complete with sub woofer and all tau. Time kurang orang in the office, or bila time santai, maximum volume, jadik disco tempat kita. Yeap... our office is the coolest office you'll ever find.

Behind my desk is Halim's. Failure tul nak decor. Ni centrepiece dia (wei pemalas...hias sikit ler meja ko tuh!)


Not that it matters so much now since we might be moving. Am so going to miss so many things. Like MY desk being the centre of attention, unlike the other dumpsites. Check out Sujartha's desk. And note... she is the fashion writer. Love you girl... (takut kena marah letak pic meja bersepah dia!)


One thing for sure kalao pindah ke aku decide nak leave, I'm taking along the 29 inch LG TV and Astro Max decoder with me!


Don't know what I'll do with it, tapi memang masa benda ni disponsor, it was to me. In fact, it's in my name! So anyone who is looking for one of these combos - keep an eye out. Kalau jadik kang aku advert kat sini. Minus the frame thingie of course. THAT belongs to the office. Didn't find anything interesting to snap other than that.

Except our pantry area.


Ok now you know the amount of water consumed is ridiculous. Matilah.... thought of throwing in a pic of the smoking room, but you'd be surprised how much everyone in the office smokes too (yes, our bonus helps offset the cost of the habit)

Got all my paperwork done, and some othr stuff, and headed to Mid Valley Megamall ngan Rudy. Picked up Vern on the way, and met Juan there. Didn't feel down or anything... but just kind of empty.

Masa nak beli tiket wayang banyak lak songeh memasing tatau nak tengok apa. It was down to National Treasure 2, or I Am Legend, with a possibility of Alvin & The Chipmunks. But since everyone couldn't make up their mind, and I had to line up like an idiot waiting for their decision - I threatened them to watch Anak Halal. Not a horor for the lack of quality or anything... just that we had already watched it.

Bought tickets and headed down to Chilli's for dinner.


My portion paling sikit... sial jerk. Tapi cukup ler nak alas perut (matilah alas perut walaopon banyak tuh... mana tak gemurk!) So what movie did we finally settle on?

National Treasure : Book of Secrets aka National Treasure 2!



Was it any good? Well.. if you loved the first one - you'll love this. If you didn't catch the first one, you'll still love this. Younger audiences can catch something our generation enjoyed in the Indiana Jones movies (the series sucked!) while the older generation, can enjoy a remake with better effects (yes, obviously I am hardly in the mood to be more intelligent in reviewing it at this moment)

Everything was entertaining, and this is definitely a good popcorn movie to catch. Fast paced, a lot of brawn, with some brains thrown in for good measure. Eye candy... enough. Worth it.

Do I need to review it more. Takyah lah. Catch it for yourself, And do yourselves a favour and watch it in the cinema and not some blurry pirated DVD copy. Why? For the effect la! This is the kind of movie that you need a humongous screen and killer sound ma to enjoy.

The movie was definitely the highlight of a weird, otherwise uneventful day. Well... at least I posted an entry (matilah statement ala ala malas gituh!)
