Phew!

Don't know how I made it through yesterday... but I did.

Letih banget! Without enough sleep bangun awal, lari ke stadium nak layan audition Akademi Fantasia 7. First day tuh. Nak tengok response camna. Sampai tuh aku terkejut. Orang beratur panjang da!!! Merasalah! Time tuh aku rasa dalam 10:30 pagik jer.

Amik ko. Divided into beberapa groups, time dalam stadium tuh tengok ala ala American Idol. Heh...



Ok.. just a quick walk through the audition process. Sebenarnya takde perubahan sangat dalam perjalanan ujibakat. More or less like the previous ones. Now come this way...



If you refer to my previous entry, you'd know Stage 1 takde benda. Cuma isi borang dan sebagainya.

Then of course Stage 2 is the singing bit. Like du-uh. You did enter a singing competition kan? What else you expect la. Very the stating the obvious.

You make it past that and it's Stage 3 foe the personality interview. Aishah? Mana ko... owh tuh ko. Jom Stage 3 lak.

And kalao lepas... tahniah! Please people. Aku da bagik tips. Korang pon da enam tahun tengok Akademi Fantasia. So how come ramai the same mistakes over and over again jerk. Tak prepared langsung.

Camni nak ada harapan? Ok.. pada yang lepas... ayuh ke Stage 4 bersama Aishah.

If you made it this far, you've done all you can. Skang tunggu tengok da ong ke tak je dapat panggilan if you've been shortlisted.

Kalao tak anggap la ko gagal seperti orang yang eja Akademi sebagai AKEDEMI. Matilah.... mencarut lak jadiknya.

Mai lak aku perkenalkan some of the people behind Akademi Fantasia this year. For those yang gi last year, lucky you no sign of Ogy. Garang dek non akak kita tuh.

But doesn't make things any easier ok. Kak Fati and Syafie are around. So's Nurul. Didn't see who else though.

Out of a total of 820 yang berjaya audition semalam (a record of sorts - last year first day of KL punya audition pun cecah 600 jerk), only lebih kurang 10 orang berjaya ke Stage 4.

So things are getting tougher... please be prepared and don't waste your time, or anyone elses. Make sure you come ready ok.

Aku ciao dari stadium terus jumpa Faz dan adik dia kat Sungai Wang. Mak aih. Kenapa laaaa smalam jam gila!!!! Stress. Claustrophobia attack! Trauma aku.

Pas abih beli benda benda perlu, aku rush to Stadium Putra lak. Nak amik invites aku tuk besok sekali layan rehearsals for Anugerah Juara Lagu. Ni some pics aku sempat snappy.

Ok... updated predictions based on what I saw last night. For best vocals - jangan terkejut if it goes to a guy.

My favourite is now Aizat. Followed by Ayu and Faizal Tahir.

Based on showmanship, for Best Performance I say leading the list is Estranged. Then Meet Uncle Hussain and then Aizat and Stacy. But kalao 50% SMS Stacy might take the lead.

Nak abih je, aku lari ke Damansara jemput Faz. Kena gi launching butik Belicious milik Umie dan adik dia Betty. Masa tuh letih nak collapse, tapi sempat snappy pics agik.

Mek & Donald

Hari ni punyalah malas sebenarnya nak kuar ke apa. Rasa nak guling guling kat katil jerk. Sekali sekala bebetul day off nih yang besh. Tapi had to go to 1 Utama tuk sidang media dan juga showcase Anugerah Juara Lagu 22.

Mak aih... decor centre court area tuh cam ada majlis perkahwinan lak. Tema sesuatuh sangat.




I didn't watch the showcase sebab dok luar sembang tempat meka ada reception. Cuma sempat layan si Faizal nyanyi Mahakarya Cinta jerk.

Tak semua artis yang layak hadir ari nih. Of course yang missing yang nama nama paling besau like Siti, Mawi and Jac sebab memasing ada komitment... biasalah Saturday nih mesti show berlambak. Ada lak yang belah awal.. so nih jerk pics yang aku sempat amik of those yang hadir.





Ramai woo yang menyerbu gak. Sampai naik claustrophobic aku. So edged away slowly. Ni part of the crowd yang menyerbu. Do you spot yourselves in it?



Hah ni ada sorang agik artis yang lupa tempek pic. Heh... kalao korang tak cam takper. Sebenarnya nih kak Kelly dari TV3.

She's an executive producer (sorry kak kalao pangkat salah!!!!)

Saja je sakat dia nak amik pic dia. Dia nih kira star gak sebab menjadi tumpuan ramai. And tak nak ketinggalan photo op kak Kelly. Matilah aku!!!

Arghhh... ampun kak Kelly, mencarut!!! Anyhoo, after we were done, ingat nak join si Farihad and gang sambung shopping tapi dok sembang sembang ditinggalkan lak.

Erm... dilema baru. Patut ker aku dok tempat aku skang ke, amik tawaran yang lebih lumayan yang mendatang.

Masaalahnya, nak join the corporate culture tak larat aku. Argh! Nak very the protocol gituh nak pakai kemeja and slacks, kekadang tie and suit... campur lagik dalam keadaan camtuh kena kiss ass boss besau semua. Camnih nih. Nak ke tanak. Kalau amik, mewah ler hidop... siap ada ramai ler staff sendiri... tapi... sanggup ker aku nak korbankan keselesaan aku to be who I am for now?

Major dilemma... so tak nak pikir wat skang. Kalao reseki ada tak kemana. It come with so many pros and cons. Apart from the money, and having a team of my own, I'd also be able to make some of my ideas a reality.

The downside is aku kena dress more corporate (no more weird hair, piercings or t shirt and jeans), pandai bodek orang atasan as well as have my ideas mangled more than occasionally.
But the money's good.

Well... all of us have to grow up sometime. So kena seriously consider lah nih. Just that aku risau kang tak happy tak tahan lak. Because it means restricting who I am for the sake of a paycheck.
To shake the burden of the offer made by a kind soul who shall remain anonymous, aku pun jejalan la shopping carik birthday present tuk Maz. Suka taw last minute.

Seb baik ada sale! Everywhere was on sale. Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridge, Guess, but finally settle for Topshop sebab lebih pada selera dressing Maz.

Picked out three tops after nearly two hours deliberation.

Extra tuh nak bagik sis aku. Matilah alasan kalao nak shopaholic kan?


Realised I hadn't eaten anything the whole day, so popped down to the fast food outlets. Bumped into Datuk Farid Redzuan and family. Bought some snacks, tapi didn't get to eat much, no thanks to the wonderful view I got below.



Sped back to Shah Alam, picked up Boo and joined Maz and friends for her birthday celebration. Didn't know a lot of them. Just a few like Maz herself, Ema and Lara among the all-girl crowd.

Sial jerk si Anas, Wandie dan Mozac tak sempat mai seperti dijanjikan. Anyway, happy birthday Maz! Semakin kertu ko!

After that gi jenjalan ngan Boo pastuh, Uptown Downtown. Last last ke Danau Kota punya night market, headed straight for a pet shop located nearby. I'd been meaning to get this for ages, for Boo.

What did I buy?



Bought a pair of Russian Winter mini hamsters (at least I think that's the right species name). Also a cage, food pellets, pine shavings, vitamins etc.

Spent about RM107 total package. But the joy - PRICELESS!!!
Pastu ke tempat keja Ayien (selamat pengantin baru!!!) where we met Juan to lepak which was a McDonalds along a highway where he's manager.

Started fitting stuff together and all, and siapkan air dan makanan dan sebagainya.

Comel ok cage mini hamsters ni. Everything lengkap. From a small house, to a slide, to a wheel, food area as well as tempat minum air.

Mini hamsters aku nih, sepasang jantan dan betina start exploring la.

Yang jantan tuh dok tido je keja. Yang betina tuh hyper sampai tak hengat. Pine shavings went flying all over immediately sebab dia sibuk gali sana gali sini. Cam kesial.

But had a laugh alright. So I guess this was an okay buy for my Boo. Thank goodness I changed my mind from the sugar glider, the tarantula, the scorpion, the albino python and the whip snake.

Matilah kalao bak ke mana mana pets lain aku tuh, mau ada nya yang pengsan kan?

Anyway, sempena 'pembinaan' rumah dan sangkar meka, we named the hamsters after McDonalds.

That and another reason la.

Yang betina tuh nama Mek (matilah...tapi elok dari Markonah, Tumirah dan pelbagai lagik nama pelik di suggest oleh Boo dan si Juan)

Antara sebabnya sebab dia kuat menyepah bebenda dalam sangkar tuh. Er... go work it out.

Yang jantan tuh sebab dia reserved dan pendiam (actually keja makan tido je like most males), dinamakan Donald. Konon kelas sikt la...

Walaupun.

Tengok pic sebelah nih. Comel tak? Sori ler tak clear sangat, sebab digicam aku tak muat dalam sangkar gituh for a really good shot.

So in the end kena pakai gak mobile phone aku tuk snap. Aren't they just cute? Time ni meka tidur. Well, Donald yang kat bawah tuh was... si Mek ala ala romantic baring atas Donald jerk... tapi kejap kejap jaga (with probably the thought of stupoid humans taking my photos!)

Yawn... we stayed up and had supper AND breakfast at McDonalds' (matilah Supersize Me!)

Tired as all hell... malas nak tulis lebih. Ni pun da panjang lebar dari intended entry. Esok je la aku citakan sesuatuh berkaitan Akademi Fantasia ek.... night...

Colour codes, dollhouses and weird festive nostalgia

Semalam baik sekali nih. Tak kuar memana. Actually haven't really been going out pun for the few days. Tapi early afternoon gituh, drove up to the Bangsar house.

My parents had left earlier from our home there sebab we were to have lunch together memandangkan kakak aku punya 4WD kena smack from the back. Strangely enough, you'd think bak keta besar gedabak camtuh selamat, and then POW! you get smacked behind by another 4WD.

Heh...that's almost a metaphor for life.

So after lunch, hung about and raided my sister's 'library' and pulled out more books to read to pass time nak tunggu kawan dia kuar sekali nak go out shopping.

Ransacked, and found four books to add to my reading list. Remember I was reading this chick-lit (more like bimbo lit) book called Undead and Unpopular by Mary Janice Davidson?
Amik ko... like the 'shopaholic' books which I love so much (it's so me!), here's the remaining titles in the series, Undead and Unemplyed, Undead and Unappreciated, Undead and Unreturnable and Undead and Unpopular.

Not exactly brain surgery manuals, but me likey!

Read halfway through one, when fell asleep in my room sebab masa tuh memang ujan cam kiamat gituh in Bangsar. My sister woke me up to tell me her friend dah sampai, and we went traipsing about for lots of shopping. Start kul 2pm, kawan dia buggered off for an appointment at about 5-ish, and we continued on another round before ending at about 9pm. Psycho....

The shop kat atas in that pic must be the most colourful I've seen in a very long time! Apapun, da pusing sana sini, at last we head home. Managed to check our acquisitions for the day (three pairs of jeans - one Levis and a denim jacket, Nautica), before aku ciao dari sana to join Vern, Audi and Nikki who were heading to Aidit Alfian's place in Ampang nak beraya. We were joined by Vern's friend, Andrew.

The food was delicious, though I have to admit I hogged my favourite which was the rendang. Aidit and his wife Zaza were the perfect hosts as we gorged ourselves.

As usual when two producers get together, Audi and Aidit had their little moments of disappearing in their own world lah.

Which was fine by us. Erm, Aidit's pic is a little blurred because he was practically bouncing off the walls. Heh! Anyway, their house was fab, very the early 80s architecture, reminded me of my old family house I grew up in.

Anyhoo, we polised off most of the food, I even had seconds! Notice the dishs on the table look quite empty by the time were were done with it.

Being a glutton, I had to punish myself my already swollen tummy with pineapple tarts lagik. Aduh...time for a smoke. Tapi yang best thing about open house Aidit ni, kat luar where the 'menfolk' were gathered, siap ada jamming session. Throw in three guitars, two producers and one singer (Andy dari Flop Poppy pun ada masa kita sampai) and what do you get?

Impromptu jamming session lah. But anyway, I would have taken a video of them performing but stupidly for once didn't haul my laptop along. Didn't bother with doing it with my phone for the dodgy quality.

But there was one song Aidit and Andy did together which was awesome. First time I'd heard it, though my ex loves him. The guy's name is Damien Rice, and the song I heard and immediately fell in love with is called Cannonball. Kalao korang nak layan, take a listen at the youtube bit I found of his quite strange video.

Cool song abih! And the lyrics memang moving gila. Trauma queen punya choice of songs la. Anyway, bumped the ciggy, and went back in the house, and there was Nikki, playing with anak Aidit dan Zaza punya dollhouse.

Yes, the girl still loves dolls, which I didn't find anything wrong with, unlike her manager yang dok teasing dia.

I know I'm in my second childhood because I'm buying toys too like my old MASK action figures from the 80s and all, but that's because our parents couldn't give us everything we wanted as kids, and now that we earn our own living, it's not too late to relive memories we wanted to have as part of our childhood kan?

Heh...merasalah profound. NOT!

Anyhoo, headed back after we spent a couple of hours there. Headed home, aku stayed up a while to read, but because itw as raining, and it was nice and cold, and I've finished updating, think I'll turn in for the night.

Apapun, before I end this entry, wanted to share these pics I took masa on the Federal Highway heading back to the Bangsar home. I think it was taken malam Raya (my time line is so warped)
There was this car, a classic Mini (a Clubman?) in front of me on the Federal Highway. Aku siap terkejut tengok.. because it was seriously decked out to celebrate Hari Raya! Not only was the car green and yellow (which would already be a major no no), there were lights (I think ada lampu lip lap skali kat dalam keta dia!)

But to make matters weirder... there were LIGHTED KETUPATS hanging in the read, and front windscreen!!!! Yes... plastic, hanging ketupats... lighted!

Luckily he took the Bangsar exit as well, so I got these pics. Heh...sorry pada tuan punya keta, but at least a few more people have gotten to enjoy the erm..'beauty' of your festive decor.

Do you see what I saw??? Erm... apapun, kalau mamat nih punya keta camni, his house is one place I don't want to beraya without sunglasses!
