Here it comes...

First of all...mintak maap ler bebanyak to all of you. I am so sorry that I haven't been updating my blog as promised.Tapi like I said...walaupun 'cuti' kerja sebulan, tapi kerja tetap ada. Not to mention preparations for Nikki's album launch. Gempak memang gempak...tapi kerja nak buat tuh..aduh...pening wo!

Anyway - ni nak quick recap. Let me see...takyah ler sangat kan aku gloss over Marsha punya birthday (lengthy sikit ler) as aku pasti ramai member bloggers anggota Bloggers United yang lain cam mama sentap, mama bosan dan mama comel ada tulis gak pasal menda tu.

I thought it was fun and kinda great, but despite the intimacy of the crowd numbers, it was hard to get cosy ngan everyone spread into three separate rooms (and the smoking terrace).

Apapun, aku terpaksa belah cepat sebab ngantuk! (Batman ke tak pun kena cukupkan tidur...beauty sleep ma!)

Anyways, aku akan update entry ni ASAP with lots of pictures. But just thought I'd do a short entry to let you guys know.

Nikki will be entering a glass house located in the middle of Jalan Bukit Bintang and staying there untuk tiga hari sebagai sebahagian dari event album launch nya.

Tu pun nanti I go into further details, but anyway, ni tetamu yang confirm sepanjang Jumaat, Sabtu dan Ahad dia akan berada kat dalam rumah baru dia tu. Dari segi persiapan, vocal training will be given (dalam the glass house itself) by Ning Baizura and Hazami while Linda Jasmine akan training choreography.

Artis-artis yang dah confirm akan lawat Nikki termasuk (pada hari Jumaat) Zahid (4pm), Jac (4.30pm), dan Hazami (5pm) dan juga (pada hari Sabtu) Mawi (1pm - makan tengahari dalam The Glass House), dan Nasha Aziz (4.30pm).

Kunjungan mereka adalah bertujuan untuk berkongsi pengalaman dan nasihat serta untuk memeriahkan Nikki's stay sebagai rakan artis, so takyah ler spekulasi nak tumpang glamer ke apa pada mereka yang tak suka tu. Semua artis yang setuju tu nak mengunjungi Nikki (ramai lagi akan confirm) kerana mereka masing-masing mempunyai nasihat dari pengalaman mereka untuk berkongsi dengan Nikki.

Esok aku lebih 'story' kan ler ek. Nak tidur. Full day tomorrow. More pictures too! Tapi apapun, I hope korang drop by and lend some support! It's going to be three full days of fun.

Why oh why...

Last Friday night was one of the best of the past few weeks.

Yeap...Nikki's first single, Pinta, debuted on era.fm!!! Tepat 12 tengah malam into Saturday, a couple of friends and I, patiently (more like impatiently) waiting with bated breath (bahasa nak tunjuk suspen ler konon)...and then....it happened!

She was introduced by Nila for the first time, and the song written by Hazami with lyrics by Imran came on. It was such a proud moment...proud for me simply because having known Nikki all this time, she has finally taken the first real step towards making her dreams a reality.

Apapun...the song was played early in the morning again, and then late noon...non stop rupanya.
But the best thing was, on Sunday evening, ingat saja nak turn on the radio, mana tau the song come on, masa tu Urban di ERA with Linda Onn was...urm...on....

Tiba-tiba...Linda announce upcoming tune was one with Nikki featuring Zahid. Aiyo! Caramu pun da masuk radio katanya! Baru first week album release sudah dua lagu bermain kat radio. Bangganya!!!

Thank you beribu kali ler kat era.fm kerana bagi sokongan.

Tapi sekarang pendengar semua kena mainkan peranan lak...you guys also have to request for the song. Already it's on quite high rotation, which is something like once in six hours. Kalao korang request, dan ada permintaan, then the song goes into really high rotation, iaitu empat jam sekali laa dimainkan.

My tip for all you guys out there, don't go to Tower Records or Speedy Music. Meka ni lambat sikit stock up. Go for smaller shops. Contoh cam Horizon kat Central Market hari Isnin on the day album officially masuk market da placing 20 CD dan 20 kaset (thanks for the info Ted) kat rak.

Of course they sold out within the next few days (tokei dia pun ada lagu favourite pasang Nikki sepanjang hari...amik ko!)

Worse come to worse....go to Project : Maharani and order your autoraphed CD of MAHARANI online.

Tapi pas call member lagi sedih. Dia tension rupanya...dah ler tak dapat nak beli CD...(kesian ko Juno), dia ngadu ada satu website ni offer download da. Walaupun tak penuh punya album tapi cam sial gak.

Apapun - already the album da affordable at RM29.90 a CD, siap double disc...pastu kualiti pun terjaga. Huh...kalau camni...minda orang kita. Sampai bila pun artis kita dok sini wat duit cukup makan je...

Short update je tuk sekarang.

Kalau masih ingat dulu ramai bloggers promote usaha Afdlin Shauki on the sale of his album, here's another project yang lebih kurang sama.

The project adalah untuk menjual album Nikki, bertajuk Maharani. Updates!

Aku tau aku janji nak update dah berzaman...well, exaggeration tul...I promised to update on Saturday...and then on Monday, tapi tak jadi-jadi.

Was really bogged down. Biasalah...ujung tahun ni nak abihkan kerja ASAP so that I can go on my Christmas break and New year holidays. Cadang nak amik from end of first week of December for a month. Kira balik after New Year je le...

Ok....going backwards...Friday was the media pre-listening for Nikki's Maharani album.
Before I get to the event...ni nak jawab kata-kata orang sikit pasal Bloggers United.

Lepas isu yang erm...dok dikecohkan...I suppose it has to be admitted there was a little misunderstanding among us.

Tapi I suppose communication is the key to ensuring that friendships are maintained...

And of all the bloggers in BU - aku...sultanmuzaffar, elkapitan, Juan... thanks to our newly appointed 'mama-san' Badrul.

He's the level headed one that basically bridges the gaps of differences between us. Yes, I stand by what I say...no issue should ever come between friendships. Nothing is that important!

So on Friday, it was also Bad's birthday we kita surprise dia ler. Dah umo 36 tahun!!! (Happy Birthday mama-san!!!) Tengok cake ek...siap ada dia punya jawatan dalam BU mentioned (mati la aku kena sumpah ngan Bad selepas ni!)



And sempena birthday - BU ingin dispel the negative thoughts many have of us having problems with each other.

Hah...buktinya antara sultanmuzaffar dan Juan...walaupun bertukar kata-kata pedas...tetap kawan...siap suap makan besday cake agik! (gelak sikit pose iya-iya tapi sebalik tu memasing pegang pisau sedia nak tikam!)

It was fun...and capped off with the great music from Nikki's album...it made it a great day.

Sayang je elkapitan tak dapat join sebab preparation tuk last final dia hari esok nya (pastu preparation nak dating sakan bila da abih paper!)

So even though BU were not complete...ok ler gak...

Saturday - gi TV3 nya open house. Abih tu lepak kat KLCC serempak ngan Nizam Zakaria yang tengah dok sibuk ngan publisher dia nak finally terbitkan penulisan dia in book form lak dari blog dia.

Pastu lepak ngan dia kat Dome je...akibat kena kecing ngan sultanmuzaffar (yang kononnya ada more pressing matters...cis!) Jumpa Dewi yang slalu dok kat blog aku yang tak seberapa ni with her friend, then later joined by my friend Ted.

Malam tu...party out sekali with Badrul joining.

Sunday tak lepak, dok rumah seharian...before finally going out for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Ok...sapa nak tengok this movie....seriously, if you;ve never read the book, you're going to enjoy the spectacular effects yang memang all out kali ni.

For those of you who have read the book, prepare to be disappointed. There is no character development on Voldemort's part. There is little references to sub-plots, such as the clues leading to Harry's background, Moody suddenly comes into the picture, the Quidditch World Cup is cut short and there are no house elves. Cho Chang is left with just a couple of insignificant lines and even the Patil twins get to speak more.

But aku paling suka this time around the Weasley twins, we get to see them a lot more. And of all the new additions, Viktor Krum played by Bulgarian actor Stanislav Ianevski is my favourite, though not the most accurately protrayed. Hope he gets more lines in the next Potter instalment.

On Sunday, didn't go out and hung about je.

Semalam was more fun...started the day at Astro, on my radio rounds. Lepak ngan Bad at era before dropping in a while at xfresh.

Then later gi Studio 1 tengok shoot Diva. Was with Vernon, Ning and Nikki, yang ikut mentor dia ke lokasi belajar skill.

Hah...tengok pic. Diva...diva pun...makan instant noodles je time sibuk. And by the way..tu bukan stail rambut terbaru Ning ek...tengah dok curling rambut tuh...

Pening tengok preparation for movie shoot. Berzaman bersiap, scene ciput je. Sempat tengok meka shoot satu babak yang aku rasa ler tuk opening scene mana Ning perform ler ala Hindustan tuk the diva intro.

Malas nak komen lebih-lebih...korang kena tengok sendiri ler kang.
Tapi ni aku masukkan satu pic of the set yang time Ning nak perform 'keluar' bintang tu. (teringat pentas-pentas Hiburan Minggu Ini zaman awal 80an....Bollywood sangat kah?)

It took hours to get to the actual shooting of the scene, and sebab takleh lepak lama...aku pun amik keputusan nak ciao.

Rush jumpa kawan pastu tuk dinner di Shah Alam (dah kul 10 lebih dinner hapa!) tapi sebab ada perjanjian awal sikit...tak sempat.

So picked up my friend Zafran, terus ke Taman Tun Dr Ismail lak ke studio Ajai, Wake The Baby tengok rakaman album Bob.
Lama gak tak jejak the studio tu, sebab the last time I was there it was still Fauzi Marzuki's, Nearfield.

Heard a couple of tracks of Bob's and it does sound decidedly impressive, vocally. Another newcomer to look out for definitely in terms of quality.

Lepak punya lepak, tengok jam da dekat 2 lebih pagi da....patut ler terasa letih.

Before gerak, meka nak photo op...so amik ler pic together. Aku malas nak amik bebanyak. By the way...dari kiri ke kanan...Melvyn dari Maestro, Ajai, Watie (member aku yang dok nak mencelah), Bob dan Man dri Maestro.

Gi Uptown for supper ngan Bob and another three friends, and stuffed out faces sat... then balik dead exhausted!

Oh...before I sign out. Tengah update blog aku, kat opis ni...tiba-tiba dengar ala-ala kecoh. Yerlah...in an office like a morgue (not my side), it's rather unusual for a scene of any sort to develop. Unless you were talking about a giant nasal sounding, very naked frog going techno...

Surprise...surprise...it was a very giant, very naked frog (there was no sound-but the sight was enough) strolling through the aisles of my office.

I'm sure by now the name Crazy Frog is familiar. Yeap...yang lagu Axel Foley tu...tiba-tiba ada mix with the frog going "ding ding" or "bam bam" or stuttering away...

Well, apparently the Swede DJ behind the Crazy Frog is in town nak promote ler dia nya album. and guess what?

Dia turun je kapalterbang straight away pakai suit tu...and he puts it on every time he's out in public, or performing (must be a fetish!!!) Rajin mamat ni nak pakai suit two...apparently he's got two suits...but only one head to go with the whole ensemble.

Ni pose istimewa dari Crazy Frog tuk pembaca blog ni. Memacam laa mamat ni...tapi I have to admit it's quite an impressive publicity stunt.

Ok ler...dah abih update...finally. Be updating more ASAP ngan ada cita pada mereka yang susah nak cari album Nikki di pasaran. Anticipation

Tengah nak wat posting ni, for some fishing reason, blogdrive naik psycho and I lost my entry.
So what happened? I had to rewrite again everything...malas. Too lazy to retype a tediously long entry, so setakat mana aku leh je lah ni.

Since Saturday I was plagued by a slight fever, cough, cold...the works complete with a runnynose and all (can't take the amount of phlegm!)

Anyway, ok sikit (though the phlegm is still horrible...I'm ozzing bucket loads by the minutes).
Amik ubat pun cam takde affect pun...not so much cause my body seems immune to Panadol (you have to love the Solubles...suka tengok dia dissolve)...but I think more because this was one of the spells where I just had to weather. Ye lah...kekadang sakit yang long lasting and susah nak sembuh...kekadang yang ringan-ringan saja, which is gone with a flash.

This was a bubbling one...where it was there, never got worse...but yet at the same time, never got better.

So, Monday tahan...masuk keja. Selasa da tak tahan, called in sick. Wednesday was off too, and Thursday (but masuk sebab nak masukkan column)

Dalam amik cuti sakit, Tuesday night aku kena gak haul ass to go to Azwan Ali's open house. Ye lah. orang dah jemput....

So lebih dua jam ler teperangkap in the jam from Klang to Ukays Perdana. Dengan hujan lebat and all...traffic was so fishing bad!

Dahlah aku tak tau jalan...gamble punya gamble main redah...kejap je da jumpa.
Sampai...terus tak nyesal dok lelama. Sempat ler jumpa beberapa orang yang da lama tak meet up.

First person I bumped into was Maya Karin, tapi sempat hi hi bye bye je sebab dia da nak balik. Yelah orang da dok lama kita baru nak sampai. Another person on the way back was Sarah Raisuddin. Tambah comel dia tu...

But the shrieking began masa baru nak settle down je....si Azizi, Fitri, Edlin, Zarina dan Mas muncul. Rupanya meka tengah sibuk tour rumah...baru sampai gak tuh.

So sat down ler gossiped. Sadly enough I had to rush off after a while sebab ada meeting lain...tak sempat jumpa Umie Aida yang on the way.

Moving on...I don't have really much to post. Mana taknya...dok rumah je kerja. Ingat dalam demam tu nak enjoy gi tengok wayang, talipon pun talipon...nak booking tiket ke Harry Potter asik booking penuh. Mangkuk jamban punya TGV dan GSC. Malas lak nak gi sana nak beratur...tunggu subside sikit crowd yang gi tengok... But for those of you who have been waiting...here's the deal on Nikki.

Her album will be out Isnin ni!!!

Cassettes will be RM15.90....biasa je. Tapi cita CD dia yang besh! It will be RM29.90 for a double CD!!!

Titled Maharani, Disc 1 will feature the album yang ada 12 lagu (semua baru ek!) Disc 2 lak will feature another 12 tracks, which is remixes dan minus one. Yang pentingnya....hah! Ada hidden track as a an added bonus (rugi kalao tak dengar hidden track dalam CD tu,..ada surprise!)

That makes it 25 tracks for RM29.90!

Later today ada pre-listening album tuk para media...so it'll be great to finally have the whole album unveilved before the album is available on Monday.

Aku percaya single pertama bertajuk Pinta, yang ditulis oleh Hazami dengan lirik dari Imran.

Dengar-dengar, era.fm akan memulakan exclusive play of the song before any radio station...Banyak aku korek pasal proses recording of the album and all, so for read on. Nikki ni sekarang anak didik Ning Baizura. Aku reveal more info as they inform tomorrow of the technical details.

What I do know so far is that when she was taken under Ning's wing, immediately she was ushered for vocal training.

Bukan sebarangan lak yang menjadi mentor dia. Sebagai permulaan...Siti Chairani herself handle vocal lessons. Siti being the Indonesian diva responsible for Ning, Syafinaz and Siti Hajar.

And then pastu, Nikki is now continuing vocal sessions with Ning herself as well as Hazami.

Ni gambar-gambar dari training sessions ngan Siti beberapa bulan lalu yang aku baru dapat dari handphone kawan as well as shot dari practise ngan Ning di studio.

By the way...pada sesapa yang tak pernah tengok Siti Chairani...dia yang dok kat piano tu tengah guide Nikki. Abih kena dera si Nikki ni rupanya...posture pun kena maintain betul masa nyanyi!!!

The one about Badrul and the Kancil Awards

Berita gembira kala tengah demam dan selsema!

In the storm of the current situation of clashing opinions and lost friendships, there was something to celebrate after all.

Last weekend, janji ngan Badrul nak go out for dinner. Yelah sebab nak celebrate kan adaler recognition yang diraihkan oleh dia melalui kemenangan kedua-duanya entrynya yang dinominate kan for the The Kancil Awards 2005 organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia.

Hah! Thanks to the win, dapat ler aku merasa Badrul belanja makan kat Madam Kwan's kat Bangsar (have to make a big deal of this ma, kalau tak ko kata aku tak appreciate lak).

So a few hours feasting later (in between the sniffles and loads of complaints were spents expectedly to talk about lots of stuff except for the win which dominated all but 15 seconds of the win (sorry ek Bad)

However it wasn't such a waste as we got to go on and on about everything (and anything) including the innocent patrons of the eatery around us.

Tambah lagi bila Jolyn sampai lagi lah! Siap entertained by one of the staff that uncannily resembled and sounded like Raymond Goh yang pembaca TV3 dulu!

Aku nak cari pic Bad during his victorious moment nak kongsi kat sini but surfing around, the closest I got to finding his pic was gambar seorang mamat ni yang menang that could be mistaken for him on a veru dark, foggy night without your contact lens on or your specs fogged up!

So...sorry ah Bad...that's the best pic I could put up as a tribute to you win.

Hah...apapun, nak mintak maap kat geng kat Yazer FC. Dalam demam dan tak sihat, tak lak aware of the Ceria Raya bersama Yazer yang dianjurkan semalam.

Pergi pun last minute sebab Badrul dengki gila ngan aku takleh tahan tau aku leh dok tidur berehat kat rumah! (hamik ko!) So rush ler dari Klang ke Ukays...

Anyway sempat sampai not too late. Sampai je si Zahid on the way back dah. Talked to him awhile before joined the event. Nampaknya Yazer cam tambah erm...gembira je.

Dah naik sikit badan...(mana cermin nak check diri sendiri ni) Tapi tetap ok lagi ler...

Lepas segala kekusutan yang berlaku beberapa hari ini, not helped by my hectic schedule since Monday - I am so glad everything's over!

Yeah!

Kerja bertimbun lum agi berukurangan buat at least datelines semua da aku overcome!
From now until tomorrow...at least ada ler masa off sikit.

Sayang though sebab hari ini kena masul lagi nak wat kerja atas last minute request banyak lak rumah terbuka tak dapat aku gi (tak tahulah kalau sebelah malam sempat)

Dahlah tak sempat gi tengok abang Wan Maestro naik pelamin (akhirnya gak ek!) walaupun Marsha dan Ekin pergi sekali. Aduh...

And then janji Akma nak gi rumah terbuka dia tak sempat lak. Tu tak termasuk invitation dua lagi open house dari kak Maznah as well as kak Jezz.

Sorry guys...I really am. After today ok ler sikit!

Anyway - ni update sikit (sebenarnya basi...aku da bagitau sebelum ni kot). Nikki's album will be out on Nov 28, kira in just over a week.

Aku tak dapat shot album apa...tapi apapun, ni korang leh have a look at what the back cover at least will look like! (tengok belakang wat pe Vernon...bagilah depan punya cover)

Aku dapat ler details about the album tapi takleh cita agik sebab under wraps still...so pepandai ler ek tunggu update aku.

Apapun...aku tengah kebulur ni...malas nak update panjang-panjang...guys...by the way...aku nak tukar lagu kat radio.blog sebab mood Raya pun cam da kureng (walaupun still in bulan Syawal) so...nak tanya korang apa lagu korang nak mintak...tak janji akan tunai...tapi kalau ok...aku tunaikan je...

Photo day!

Seperti saya katakan, the last week has been hectic!

Mana taknya, on Monday, ada 'open house' kat office. Selasa, Rabu dan Khamis ada separuh akhir Muzik Muzik 20. Throw in beberapa function lagi where I'm required to work, today is the most free I've been the whole week.

Saya rasa purata tidur sehari I've been getting is about 3 hours a night!

Ok...time to catch up with my blogging.

Let's see - secara ringkas lah ek. Isnin wat open house, secara kecil-kecilan sebenarnya. Tapi seronok ler sebab Kaer, Idayu and Akma sudi hadir ditemani Adi dari Maestro.

To cut a long story short, let the pictures speak for themselves!







Sempat ler mini photo shoot gitu kan...tuk mereka yang rindukan mereka bertiga ni.
Habis je tu, bergegas ke Malam Karyawan di PWTC.

Pening memikirkan kena lari balik ofis tengah malam lepas tu nak wat story lak. Tapi at least terhibur kat event tu. Top five of Akademi Fantasia III hadir. Terhibur gak hati melayan gelagat masing-masing. Time camni kekadang lupa lak that you're on duty because you're actually having fun. Again...in pictures...here is what happened.









Apapun, kerana aku pernah buat koleksi tribute bagi ramai budak-budak kan...kali ni aku focus kat Felix sebab dia yang buat muka-muka paling kelakar sepanjang malam. Ada je idea dia nak pose tuk gambar! Dari pose berangan ala ala YB, sampai menguap tak cover ke pose ayu...and finally to favourite pose Beyonce...this is just some of the pics...Felix...Felix...(gealk tengok pose Beyonce...cam real je!)







Malam tu gak...sempat catch up ngan Nasha Aziz. Dah lama tak bump into her. She is such a sweet person...not too hard to get close with, though for some people, perhaps...a little hard to understand.

The havoc really started the next day sebab separuh akhir Muzik Muzik 20 dah bermula. Selasa of course ler separuh akhir Etnik Kreatif dan Irama Malaysia. Ok ler...walaupun rasa rugi tak masuk ler Senang Tari.

Yang penting, for the genre, happy Kak Ani...and of course, kak Ana masuk. Ingat lagi zaman sekolah Rohana Jalil perform on TV...she is such a cool person!

Sebab tak penah amic pic ngan dia walaupun kerap jumpa kat many events, so took an opportunity to get a shot of us together.

Seperti mana orang lain, I have to admit, saya mempunyai pilihan yang saya rasakan patut mara ke Anugerah Juara Lagu 20, tapi petang tu, ada interview dengan para juri yang terdiri dari A. Ali, Zubir Ali, Lukhman S. (my favourite jury!), Khairil Johari Johar dan Ooi Eow Jin. It was then that after tau the specifics of the judging criteria baru sedar why they made the choices they did. And that helped me understand the next two days punya selection dimana antaranya aku rasa, shouldn't have gone on.

Malam tu...abih je separuh akhir, gegas dari Plaza Alam Sentral kat Shah Alam balik office to file the story. Then rushed to Bora Ombak in Ampang for Tanyangan Unggul's open house.
Kali pertama (not really lah) gi open house aku melantak tak ingat. Mana tak nya...dari pagi lari sana lari sini tak sempat makan. First meal of the day past 9pm!

Lepas makan, lepak kat ada couch area jadi ular sawa. Ngantuk campur sakit sakit badan. Last-last hang out sana, joined by Kak Fati...err...Fatimah Abu Bakar ler...along with her husband and her daughter (ari ni sorang je. Malam sebelum kat Karyawan dedua bak jalan tour)

Of course kak Fati's daughters are Sharifah Aleya and Sharifah Amani.

Together, cam aku bagitau kak Fati...meka ni cam Sure Heboh on their own. Family leh bak tour. Mana taknya...mom nya orang kenal from Akademi Fantasia (aku kenal kak Fati masa aku join NSTP mana dia keja dulu), along with Leya yang da familiar face everywhere and Nani who echieved fame, I think more recently on Yasmin Ahmad's Sepet.

Dok sembang ler ngan kak Fati manjang and her husband about Akademi Fantasia and what's happening. Banyak takleh ler tulis sini. P&C!

First time I had a talk of any sort with Nani...and found both she and Leya are exactly like their mom...so friendly, well mannered and intelligent. Really...upbringing does make a lot of difference!

The next day Ballada punya ketegori happening gila but I have to admit didn't meet up to my expectations dari segi persembahan artis. Dari lebih kurang tujuh lagu favourite, most of them did not perform to the standards I had hoped they would. Camna pun aku rasa Ning dan Jac je betul-betul up to mark and stood out from the rest.

Yang paling rugi Laingit Ke 7 Syarifah Zarina...wish she had made it. The song is absolutely haunting! Walaupun aku setuju Jac layak ngan Gemilang, tapi Wajah is such a crappy tune!!!

Anyway - malam tu ke event kat PWTC yang orang dok kecoh kecoh tu...malas nak ulas lebih.

Lebih suka kalau tak ada debat isu tu disini kerana kalau buka kang...kawan pun leh jadi lawan.

Lack of sleep in the few hours I had to spare, the next day was the Pop Rock semifinal lak...which is an absolute yawn kalau nak compare pada Balada punya competition. Terkejut Adam dapat cause Tak Tahu is such a kiddy ditty...personally wish Zahid had made it...but nice to see V.E. as expected, layak dengan Pop Ye Ye (kan da kata, Cham!)
