Went for the launch of Mari Menari. So not impressed. Already Sehati Berdansa was a bad photocopy of Dancing With The Stars. Ni lak wat Mari Menari ganti Sehati Berdansa, which is more or less the same minus the celebrities.

Jap. Ada celebrities. Zulhuzaimy, Erra Fazira, Ferhad and Lisdawati. Too bad meka ni penasihat je. Wait a minute - apa kena mengena? Erm... nasihat pasal menari? Ok...diamkan dri je la.

Tadik gi Parti Hip TV - TV9. Event biasa-biasa je. Aku da bajet mesti start lambat, and how right I was.

Kata kol 8 malam, aku sampai 9.30pm baru mula ngan satu persembahan. Heh... da paham sangat event kalao ikut waktu Malaysia. Memang kena add sejam hingga ke sejam setengah.

Aku tak sempat snap Siti and a few more artis yang hadir. Aku tengah sibuk men-GRO-kan diri nak borak sana sini. Plus kat dalam ballroom panas bagai gurun Sahara, so aku banyak kuar masuk nak amik angin (dan hembus asap).

Aku takleh la bagitau sapa menang hadiah apa - sebab program tayang only on 2 April. So korang layan kang jek.

But kijam sungguh aku rasa award nih. Seb baik yang menang hadiah nih sporting. Yang pentingnya kengkawan semua pose sakan ngan 'anugerah' nih ok.

Tak harap pada rupa katanya... bukan takde rupa ek. Kalao negatif, mencarot la namanya. Kalao positif, ertinya leh feel ada bakat takyah looks pon takpe. Heh... still sounds so wrong either way.

Balik pon awal sebab esok ada hal sikit nak settle.

Layan Youtube sambil update nih... apa lagik.. nak teruskan tugasan mencarot.. oops.. I mean mengikut perkembangan Akademi Fantasia la.

Ni Diari malam tadi. Sambil layan, baca la pemerhatian aku nak kongsi nih (rasa cam amali Sains lak ada pemerhatian bagai).

*Kenapa melampau sangat hari ni si Jimmy gedik tahap ants in the pants gituh. I mean seriously. Dude! Quit shouting as well. Pening... Seb baik kat Youtube saja layan so senang turun volume.

*Motif si Shahir perlu nak dress up camtuh nak feel? Apa kena mengena lagu dia yang lemau tuh?

*Pentingnya, why this shot perlu sebelom dan selepas close up muka dia - nak bagi adik-adik, akak-akak dan makcik-makcik merembes ke tuk Afundi? Camera angle pon sesuatuh. Motif? Seb baik no butt crack. Tapi tetap rasa cam nak sumbat syiling dua puluh Sen je... cam ada tabung menunggu ditayang. What's next? Berenang untuk kesihatan?

*I love what Que is doing, tapi melampau sangat nak sedih si Nad nak feel lagu tuh sampai burok lak. It's not this ugly face you have to give nak tunjuk sedih ke haper, it has to be in the eyes. The eyes are the windows to the soul - so the emphasis should be on that.

*Motif trigger kasut tuk Iwan? Seriously??? Apa kena mengena??? And the comic? Seriously??????!!!!

*I love Cikgu Adnan nya session nak get harmony bebudak. Too bad cut short nak kena layan Daus ngan lagu Menatap. Hado!

*Aku baru sedar bosan gila Anum. Nama feel rock bagai. Tapi aku rasa nak compare, si Zizi musim lepas baru rock bebetul, plus she could sing, bukan bunyi cam kucing kena cekik.

*I think Linda's class baru nampak bebetul bebudak pay attention. Mesti kena takot kena lahar kena marah. Heh!

*Obviously bebudak tak focus and find their center - akibatnya si Daus the Haus dah pening nak muntah bagai.

*Alamak! Melampau lak promosi Old Town White Coffee. I don't get the unnecessary arts and crafts session demi nak promosi sponsor. Aduh... not only none of the kids were creative, hadiah? More kopi dari sponsor. Hado!

*Motif teaser promo iPhone? Sponsor kah? Akhirnya? Just hope not for the kids to use nak berlatih lagu because seriously it sucks when you have to learn a song from your handphone. Proper MP3 players please. Oops.. bajet kot nak tuh.

*Motif Jimmy nak guna buzzword 'cangkul'? So bad take on gali ok.

Selepas layan Diari, mengantuk nih... ada kena mengena ke? Erm.. tahap kebosanan Diari lom sampai tahap kecipanan Debaran lagik. But close... night all.

Umie gets a ring on it

I wanted to update earlier, but balik pon da lewat sangat so tak sempat. Still rushing about tomorrow as usual, so aku bagi korang pics je la.

Oh by the way, something very exciting is happening. I'm going to Shibuya, Japan next year!!! Adalah... kalao korang nak pon leh ikut. But of course you got to do something lah.

Had two events to cover, first was the launch of the Golden Awards by ntv7. They're doing local Chinese version of the Emmy Awards next year. Felt so lost at the event.

I mean everyone was speaking Cantonese and I had no freaking clue. And there was so much tlk it gave me a headache because I had no idea what was going on for most of the time. Heh. I feel like such a banana!

Later in the night, there was Umie's engagement. Suka sangat majlis pertunangan dia. Kengkawan ramai, and it was between the families of both side, as well as friends. Tapi in the duplex (penthouse kot) just near my place in Mont Kiara, it was a little cramped.

Aku malas nak type pepanjang. So many emails to send out. Korang layan pics kang aku story panjang sikit.

Stretched!

I so bloody hate it when it rains in KL.

Terus semua jalan jam for absolutely no reason. Time to get away cuti kat Bangkok ke Jakarta. After going through jams there, I tend to appreciate the KL traffic a little bit more as it's not as bad. Close... but not as bad.

Selalu balik je KL after going to either of these two cities, aku rasa cam jalan kita kosong je. Ok, so I'm stretching my imagination a bit. But makes me work harder to afford time away from it all.

Petang tadik pas ke opis, headed to Mines for the launch of a new movie. Metrowealth umumkan filem baru - Semerah Cinta Stilleto (dig the title...) starring Lisa Surihani dan Farid Kamil.

Rush ke sana sebab nak abihkan some emails to be sent out. This week is a killer... ada je benda nak abihkan. Aduh....

Jam was horrific... but to make things worse, some place minor flooding, so sabar je la.. sampai nak masuk parking Mines pon camni.



Got to the venue early, finished some work, and had a nice makan at David Teo's Lemon, followed by borak borak Q&A with David, Ahmad Idham who's directing it and also Lisa and Farid. Sorry pic bosan sikit... tak semangat lor nak snappy.



Finished je buggered ke flash mob training location kat Bukit Kiara. Just a final check up for rehearsal beginning tomorrow.

Esok siang kena rush ke Sunway sebab ada listening session, and then interview with Boys Like Girls. Anyone know the band??? I am so unfamiliar with them. Ni nak wat homework sikit listen to their stuff and read up on them before I go to bed.

Abih tu, rush rehearsal. In between, as expected nak finalise details for the flash mob on Friday. Bear with me guys.. going to be busy these few days. But pastuh, entry updates fast and furious as always.

Gempak Selebriti Astro

Nak lari dari posting Akademi Fantasia jap.

Two weeks ago, you guys know I headed down to Johor Bahru, my favourite stopover - with all my friends kat sana. Seronok ok turun sana. Meriah! Merasakanlah, aku yang anak jati Merah Kuning nih terus mengaku anak Johor nih sebab selalu enjoy when I get down there (ampun Tuanku, I still love Selangor... tanak dibuang negeri!)

Anyway, hajat turun masa tu was for a special reason.

Malam tu tak jadik sesi dengan pelajar-pelajar Akademi Fantasia, and just communicated with Hafiz a bit to pass the message on to the others to wish them all the best, and I'd see them on Saturday during the concert.

Gerak dari Akademi, terus shoot straight for Johor Bahru.

Liberating ok nak drive alone for three hours! Seriously, everyone needs to do this some time. It clears your mind for some serious alone time with nothing but your favourite music on (aku ada 'road mix' aku where I play only my favourite road trip songs) to avoid getting bored (merasalah karaoke dalam keta!) Yes, if you passed some weirdo lip-syncing away that night on the highway, that was me)

Eh tak sebut lak apa niat aku ke Johor kali ni for an overnight trip.

Simple je. For Gempak Selebriti Astro kat Plaza Angsana on Saturday AND Sunday.

Tapi sayang, aku stay sampai dekat pukul 5 petang je hari Sabtu, and then had to make a move back to KL sebab have to be at Konsert Akademi Fantasia minggu kelapan (tuk tengok Claudia dan Aishah meninggalkan Akademi - sodih gila time tuh)

With only half the day (less actually sebab gi Plaza Angsana for lunch ngan Azly whom I lepaked with my time in JB), managed to catch several hours of activity gak ler.

Mak aih! Packed!!! Merasalah da memacam aktiviti (sukaneka pon ada - lama tak dengar perkataan nih) and it was really trying for a claustrophobic like me.

Tapi, aiyo.... apa lagik. Sesi ramah mesra la sempat hi hi bye bye ngan kengkawan.

Seronoknya being in this industry is watching friends working and still being entertained by them - even as a fan. Plus event camni tuk aku - while for fans is a meet and greet thingie, tuk aku is playing catch up with those yang kekadang takde masa nak jumpa.

Let's see who was there. There was Ning Baizura (can you say DIVA - meletops) as well as the Fantasia family (Idayu, Edlin, Fitri, Hazama, Noni, Nora, Fitri... did I miss any names) dan ramai lagi. Owh lupa lak Reza (tapi dia ni kira Era family da skang kan)




Spotted ikon Astro, si adik Alycia Norman Sabri, dan Tok Wan.

Woot! Spotted Farid, and Lisa Surihani skali (da artis eksklusif Astro mestilah ada kan!) Merasalah Aaron Aziz pun ada.




And of course, my mentor in this business selama ni (kertu dah tapi still going strong katanya dengan lagu tema Show Must Go On by Queen berkumandang in the background) - Zainal Alam Kadir (boss!!!)

So I missed Fitri as a cheetah (erm... that takes too much explaining - credit to Ning for the pic), or my former co-star si Farish (matilah penyesalan teramat wat Gaia). Sempat catch a bit of the stage show (sebab takleh lepak lama takut leka sangat sampai KL lambat)



Gosh.. what else did I do there?

The whole Hannah Montana is a little too Disney Channel (read : young - not me)




Had a go at the Sports area with PS2 before moved on to Wii at Fun and Disney areas just for a laugh.

Ok, just for a laugh, biar let me recap the booths there. Erm.. there was the movie themes ones, (HBO, MAX, StarMovies), the 'fun' section (Nickelodean and Cartoon Network), sports (ESPN, Star Sports, Astro Supersports, Golf Channel, EuroSport), the family area (Astro Ria, Oasis, Kirana, Zee etc), learning (Discovery, National Geographic etc) and Disney (doesn't this belong in fun?).

By the way, check this out. On the second day of the event, there's lunch sessions with the artistes involved in GSA where you can get to meet the stars. Just log in to Gempak 09 and be among the lucky 20 subscribers selected.

Aduh... letih banget by the time was on the move back to KL for the Akademi Fantasia concert. Tapi yang pentingnya - the next Gempak Selebriti Astro event, I get to spend a whole day lepaking there je, sebab it coincides with the Akademi Fantasia final!
