The plus side about being a dedicated follower of certain brands, I get to be the first in the know.

For example, being a Gucci lover, I get info from everywhere on sales, items with huge discounts and so on.

When it comes to Blackberry, my brand loyalty too is always rewarded. I always get first look at everything Blackberry, which I am thankful to the lovely people at RIM for.

After getting to preview the Blackberry Playbook at the same time as the previews were held all over the world, it was the same for the new range of Blackberry OS7 smartphones.

If you are following me on Twitter, you would have been the first to be updated on everything about the new range of OS7 phones. Won't say much, especially since the phones have been in the market for a month now - so just pictures and more pictures.

I got to try everything, but I am so loving the Blackberry 9900 (no you do not call it the Bold 4 - that doesn't exist). And also the Torch 9860. Still waiting for my Blackberry 9900 to be delivered though..

But meeting the bosses from RIM and Blackberry, I got a surprise present seeing how I put my Blackberry Playbook to good use. I got a genuine leather case for it - it's a Brooklyn Museum case. Kaler cam Hermes sungguh... mula-mula dapat yang orange, I changed it for a more subtle blue.

Oh by the way - I love the Blackberry 9900 for this. Wikitude. Can you say stalker? On app, tembak je orang tu nampak segala Twitter bagai. Takyah nak tegur tuk berkenalan da ye...

So got to show off... though pening kalao betul all four phones memang milik aku. Oh goodness, I really am turning into a tech geek.

Ni compare Blackberry 9780 with the 9900. The 9900 is similar in size to the 9000 obviously, tapi slimmer and lighter.

Damn... what a world we live in. Phones pun sampai variety da pening bagai... memacam nak pilih. But like they say... once you go Black(berry), you never go back!

So I pledge my allegiance to Blackberry. No iShit or iWhatever. Sorry Apple fanboys and girls. My other flirtation however begins now with another brand. Wait for that in another entry...

BB apps

Ari ni malas sangat sebab panas ya amat, so keja main godek apps for Blackberry je. Ni aku nak kongsi applications you MUST have on the Blackberry 9700/Bold 2/Onyx.

This will hopefully help some people, especially those I know to make their Blackberrys more useful (aku kenal some ada Blackberry berketul dan da pakai lama tapi hampeh tau how to use it)

Ni my personal list of apps I have been trying and which I think is absolutely the best to have on your phone without just wasting space in your memory for having it. Kalao korang nak, online je ngan your BB and click the download links for direct access and download to your phone.

Sapa pakai BB yang masih pakai bebola tuh, pepandai la godek sendiri. My recommended site is Blackberry Seeker. They have the best listings of apps, themes and games there.

Hope you guys have fun downloading these and that your Blackberry becomes a one-stop comm centre after this.

Here's my list of MUST HAVES on the Blackberry (specifically the Onyx). From your phone, just click the links for download for immediate OTA download and install.

Blackberry Messenger 5.0 (CLICK HERE FOR INFO AND DOWNLOAD)

Do I even need to elaborate why you need this? Unless you are not subscribing to BBM (and what a waste if you aren't... what's the point of having a BB then?), this application is like du-uh - WAJIB! There are other hybrid messengers out there integrating other applications with the Blackberry Messenger, but I like my BBM to be stand alone. For integrated messengers, search Pairingo, WhatsApp or IMplus.

Don't forget to add Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger or even Skype for Blackberry if you have those accounts if like me you prefer those stand-alone apps.

UberTwitter - (CLICK HERE FOR INFO AND DOWNLOAD)

For those who tweet, this is a must have. There are many apps out there for Twitter on Blackberry, but I find Ubertwitter the best after having testing out a few. Not perfect, but enough to satisfy tweeting on the go. Also enables Tweetphoto, so linking a pic to a tweet has never been easier. From your gallery, terus send ke Ubertwitter with whatever caption. Takes just seconds (unless your line is crappy)

Facebook - (CLICK HERE FOR INFO AND DOWNLOAD)

Ok, so you can get on Facebook online, but this app makes it so much easier if you're only doing the basic functions. Condensed version of Facebook. Again, like BBM, there are a lot of integrated apps out there which combines Facebook with other social media... but I wanted specifically for Facebook.

Also out there are apps for Myspace.

FlashOn - (CLICK HERE FOR INFO AND DOWNLOAD)

While there are apps out there which use the LED light as a torch, Flashon is my personal favourtie (and almost a secret because no one I know has this app - yet... for now.. lepas ni tatau la).

Instead of just the sodih punya LED, it turns on the blinding flash for the Blackberry Onyx into a torchlight. Good for those moments in the dark. Yes, your phone has multiple uses.

BeBuzz - (CLICK HERE FOR INFO AND DOWNLOAD)

This free version of BeBuzz rocks! You know that blinking red LED that lights up everytime you get a call/missed call/message?

Change the colour NOW! To every colour possible. It basically allows you to use that function. Tak caya, tengok buktinya in the video below. Abaikan kejinjangan Onyx aku with the disco function. Heh... trust me... it's a display of the colours available.

Aku pasang disco light for the call-in function. And set white for missed call. But customize it how you wish.

Where's My Phone - (CLICK HERE FOR INFO AND DOWNLOAD)

This is a miracle app. If you misplace your phone, even if it's on silent, you can now find it with this app. Likewise kalao kena kebas (tapi harapan tetap tipis la nak recover).

What it does is link to your emails associated with your Blackberry. All you have to do if you can't find your phone, is send an email to the address associated with your phone and it will go crazy.

The full version siap ada GPS nak detect your phone but the free is enough I think, especially kekadang letak phone entah mana terlupa.

Call Blocker Pro - (CLICK HERE FOR INFO AND DOWNLOAD)

I use to have something like this on my Nokia. This works like a charm. Though I don't know why this is missing a whitelist, but the blacklist itself is good. Basically it can block out private numbers, numbers not in your contacts or all calls if you wish or just any idiots harassing you.

I am connected!

Hari ni tak la sibuk sangat. Tapi still tak larat nak update. Motif? Senang saja.

I've been busy - getting connected to the world!

Matilah propah beriya katanya.

Sebenarnya camni. Aku ni jenis resist changes sometimes. Like when it came to Facebook. Aku mengalah and joined only because I was forced on it by my sister. Skang aku lak lebih lebih online sampai nak bukak fan page tuk pembaca blog ni bagai. Matilah sehari pon tak berlalu di mana I don't log on to my Facebook (merasalah ada menteri kata orang cam aku ni hanyut dengan ciptaan Amerika).

Then there was Twitter. Again, I resisted the best I could. Still.. I crossed over to the dark side. I'm one of the weak ones that minister was talking about. Matilah...

And today, I armed myself more with creations of evil! I am now connected to the world! Shock! Horror!

Kalao dulu aku da tolak Maxis broadband aku yang hado. Skang aku dapat satu agik broadband. Dapat pree setahun agik! Thank you P1 for my W1GGY!

Er.. getting W1GGY with it? Bad word play...

I got it over the weekend tapi tak dapat test sebab takleh pakai on Mac - which is the laptop of choice for travelling with me. Laptop PC dok umah je skang.

Tapi skang, with this, I may be one of those weirdos lugging about both laptops. Er... kalao tak I'll get one of those ultra small laptops. Aduh...

And to cap off being connected insanely for 24 hours round the clock gituh... I have now succumbed to - the Blackberry!

And not just any Blackberry. The sleeker, more awesome, recently launched Blackberry 9700 @ Bold 2 @ Onyx. Merasalah. Aku on Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo Messenger dan sebagainya 24/7! Matilah aku pasnih tak tidur. Ni pon nak install memacam sampai tengah malam ni melayan!

If that's not enough, since this phone is dedicated for my work matters, layan Blackberry Messenger ngan kengkawan. Ashraf Sinclair antara first person mintak BBM PIN aku. Heh.. mampuih aku melayan chat je pasnih memandangkan free jerk. So kengkawan dalam media, artis, pengurus, PR dan sebagainya yang pakai Blackberry - apa tunggu - mesej kan aku your PIN so we can connect.

Yang bestnya data plan semua office yangs settle kan plus a huge subsidised voice call and SMS billing. Aku suka! Tepuk tangan sambil menari Jingli Nona sat.

So pasnih, rancak la lagik aku dapat blog ketika kerja. Merasalah.
