Hari ni ada shooting Gaia musim kedua. And before you guys ask, watak aku nih light light jer muncul a couple of episodes jerk.

Andway rushed there pas hantar ayah check mata follow up treatment sebab laser nk betulkan cataracts kedua mata dan then runner ngan mak ke bank as well a pelbagai errands.

Lepas dok lapan jam, tak sempat shoot aku, Tak kisah la.. tapi ada benda yang merunsingkan aku nih. Need to sort it out. Anyway, ni some pics on the set.

My mind was on the finals coming up.

Risau sebenarnya. Banyak nak wat dalam diam sebelom final esok. Wish I could do more to help Nadia FC and Stacy FC because they both need more hands to help them out. Anyway,teruskan AFUNDI STACY (especially Stacy), AFUNDI NADIA (nih pun, tolong la top three) and AFUNDI RIZ (katanya.. walaupun.... matilah aku sokong pun kena carut)

My point of meroyan ari ni is about the pengkritik ketika konsert. Honestly, to some degree, I have no idea whether they are still relevant. Mana taknya, kekadang nampak bias yang melampau sebab pujian diberikan walaupun nyanyian bebudak atau persembahan bebudak macam.. erm.. you know.

And yet sometimes, persembahan yang bagus pun dicarut pelagai beriya, and small matters pun magnified.

The role of the critic is basically not to be blonde and to guide the students as well as penonton in evaluating the weaknesses and strengths, but more ofen than not it becomes a bashing session, atau sesi puji pujian.

I don't know how things will go on for tomorrow, but I have little hopes if any at all of things being different.

At the end of the day, Akademi Fantasia is a platform that offers huge possibiities to those involved in terms of promotion. And the pengkritik yang terlibat pun no different.. However if they act blonde (sometimes I think they may not even be acting), then they may find that people are not so dumb and will see right through them. Oh well...

Anyway backtracking sikit.. ari ni last episode of Diari Akademi Fantasia. Aku nak wish congrats pada team production Diari because for the first time in Akademi Fantasia history, they managed to come up with something yang if not the same quality as musim kedua nya product, even better.

Congrats especially to Sarimah sebab lightened out days with her quips and lawak yang memang menggelikan hati dan tak overdose.

And girl, you looked very pretty for the last episode. And no, you're not a blonde. Matlah gelak..

Mmmm..... seriously?

Aku malas nak ulas panjang panjang. Sebab ulas pepanjang carut to kingdom come pun tak guna kan? Not like anyone listens to me. If I could make a difference, perhaps this is worth going on about. Instead, even pengkritik pun da cam tak betol at times... yang angsa tak ditegur malah dipuji.

Letih wo! They're supposed to critic. Doesn't mean it has to be all bad, but obviouly someone forgot to tell them they're supposed to evaluate the kids. I think Afdlin saw what many people see, So what's wrong with the picture,

Tak guna angguk setuju time pengkritik jemputan mengkritik, when you should have said it during your turn, and not puji like it was an acceptable performance.

Weirdness.

Anyhoo, this is the second last concert, so takyah nak go on further nak ulas lelebih as usual. Just short comments of what I think of each performance and their rating. Rating kali nih nak pakai lain lak system.

The bad ratings bukan lagik pam jamban as usual or any of the usual stuff I use. Instead, it will be represented by how many angsa or geese they get. The good ratings represented by a butcher's knife, nak tengok tahap mana dan setakat mana meka berjaya sembelih keangsaan meka tuh.

STACY
Beat It
Mmm... I am trying to sa hard to say something nice but in truth, it was an ok performace saja. Aku tetap kagum Stacy mampu control pernafasan dia relatively well with the lousy dance routine and dancers yang very distracting.

But there was no kick to the show and I think the song, and the arrangement was a et down.
Good effort nonetheless, but lousy choice of tune for a show that is deciding the final outcome.



TOI
Kau Yang Bernama Seri
I hate to admit it, but dia managed to improve banyak.. finally! Tapi walaupun I give him credit for that, I disagree with pujian melambung diberikan seolah dia memberian persembahan yang sebegitu hebat jerk padahal kali pertama membuat persembahan yang sekadar boleh laaaa.....

Nothing to shout about at all... especially since after you hit rock bottom, there is no where to go but up. He had to improve sooner or later.. he sure as hell couldnt get worse.

Now this is really standard peserta pertandingan karaoke kat Plaza MPK di Klang. And the choreography... yang dia gerak hulu hilir feeling improvisational theatre tuh perhal. So RTM in the early 80s.



STANLY
Kerana
Ridiculous. Painful. And honestly, should have been out weeks ago. What took him so long to leave? Bung Ramli jangan marah! Komen aku tak penting pon! Matilah aku!!



NADIA
Lelaki Buaya Darat
Something was just wrong with the arrangement. The song dari a full on pop party anthem became a sullen piece of karaoke minus one yang tahap muzik cam musim lepas punya polyphonic standards.

And Nadia? Entahlah.. minggu ni aku inclined to admit she's on a decline slowly.

For some reason she's not delivering up to par.

Takdelah tahap sampai angsa... tapi memang namoak dia semakin ketinggalan ngan Stacy. She could have made this song her major comeback, and gunakan tuk menempah tempat lebh secure for the final... but she didn't.



RIZ
Rock Around The Clock
Again, out of his safe zone, Riz gagal nak carry a song/ I'm not a big fan of Riz (and you guys know thats an understatement) tapi aku nak tengok dia mara dari Toi or Nubhan kerana dia lebih consistent. At this rate however... its pretty sad to see him two weeks straight of substandard performance.

Tapi Bukan AKu
There are some seriously deaf people in this country kalao ada yang kata version dia sedap. Sure he's got tone... but what else can he do apart fron growl off tune. Seriously fed up. He is now officially the most overrated in the Akademi.

Sumbang terlampau banyak sangat sangat walaupun ramai merembes kata bagus... walaupun...



TOI & STANLY

Can anyone deny this is the PERFECT pair? Siapa berani kata pasangan nih tak sesuai aku bantai! They were the musical equivalent of Cumi dan Ciki (sapa bawah umur 25 konperm tatau)

NADIA & RIZ
Endless Love
It wasn't as spectacular as I hoped for, but better than I expected. Sepanjang malam haus semacam takde yang betul betul besh, this was worth watching and listening. Both Nadia dan Riz worked well together vocally. Good effort.



NUBHAN & STACY
Thank goodness Nubhan tak MENYUMBANGKAN that much to the song, because Stacy opened it so beautifully. Ada chemistry antara meka, though I doubt the cinta part. At times, ramai kat dewan lebih fokus pada merpati yang kena ikat kaki dipaksa dok kat bangku tuh, but the magic of this performance was undoubted.

The best for the night!



And that's it... memang sebenarnya aku malas nak tulis lebIh pasal konsert nih, sebab walaupun audience smangat nak go into the finals da, the sho was rather lemau for the ninth concert. It wasn't as good as I harapkan it would be to build apa semangat for next week.

And the results? Ok ok je... nothing to celebrate. Stanly should have been out much earlier. Nanti jer la aku cita lebih pasal concert n the next entry. Will also post speculation and gossip on the finals mana yang mampu.

But before I forget, congratulations to the production for the tribute segment, I also have to say congratulations pada Faizal, Aizat, Velvet dan Sahri for the moving performance in their tribute to arwah Loloq... it was so touching, I was CRYING (ada gak guna tisu Premiere yang disponsor nih) And I mean literally crying sebab it was beautiful and meaningful.

Gaia... Gaia... Gaia!

Siang semalam gi studio tuk Ria Sentral nak promosi Gaia on air. Aku, Tam and Farish skali. Nothing much happened sebab time sikit sangat, and cam tension pon ada sebab cam.. entahla. Patutnya promosi, but it didn't feel like we managed to promote the show, especially the excellent songs on the show. Takde masa sangat.

Didn't take any pictures (nanti aku curik dari Farish kang sebab dia sempat snappy), except for these few with my Motorola ROKR E8.

For the third time in two days, bumped into Aizat again sebab dia perform on the show. Have to say his voice is getting better. Sedap dia nyanyi single dia Hanya Kau Yang Mampu. Ker si Nubhan da hancurkan lagu tuh sangat Aizat's original version on his guitar sounded like such wonderment. Entah lah..

Abih jerk... gi Hilton Sentral tuk launching beberapa program baru upcoming kat Astro Ria.
Kalao korang tengok ada iklan yang tunjuk orang nyanyi lupa lirik tuh, it's for Jangan Lupa Lirik, a game show, adapted from Don't Forget The Lyrics. Aznil will be hosting it. Speaking of which, nak say thanks to Aznil for this lovely entry dalam blog dia.



Such nice words. Tuk someone yang amazingly creative like Aznil to spend time nak wat entry nak compliment aku, terharu sangat rasanya.I only gave the idea, and linked your blog, but it's your words that made your blog an attractive destination. Cam promosi melancong lak katanya.

Anyway, again, siapa lom ke blog Aznil, singgah la. Aznil personally blogs about himself, his life and his career, so worth a read. Walaupun sibuk, I hear he's been bitten by the blogging bug, so memang dia akan update as often as possible. By the way, siapa nak tengok how Jangan Lupa Lirik! will be, here's an example. Basically it's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire meets karaoke!

Korang karaoke, then sampai satu time lirik ilang, and you have to fill in the gaps! Aku dengar meka da shoot enam episode, and sorang da menang RM10,000 pun da! Juan and I were given a chance to try the game at the launch and aku menang RM100. Heh.. worth it gila. Anyway, here's the UK version of the show.


Another new gameshow coming on Ria pun da iklan da. It's a local version of Hole In The Wall. Otherwise known as the Japanese human tetris. Here's how it works.


I've seen this on Youtube before and memang kelakar! The local version will also feature celebrities, so it should definitely be worth a watch.

Diari Akademi Fantasia 6 - Minggu 9 hari kelima

Malas nak review sangat ari nih.. so here's a bit jer overall.

Stanly nampaknya tak confident ngan his piano playing enough to accompany his own song. So that's his major vote winner for the week.

Riz is having tempo troubles with Rock Around The Clock.

Nadia is still having problems trying to work out with her duet ngan Riz for Endless Love. Tak paham la camni.. hish.

Forget the attempts of Toi and Stanly for their bonus song of Lagu Jiwa Lagu Cinta.

Aiyo.. more time wasters in the Akademi. Freaking contact lens promo katanya!

So instead of practising their songs, they waste more time on... wearing contact lens. Aduh.. tak paham tol.

Why does that CIBA VISION lady in pink scare me... maniacal sangat wajahnya. Baju cam baju Ramli MS jerk... heh!


Nubhan menjadi penternak angsa as usual. Painful as all hell!
Tak paham bab Nadia pun... she's finding simple stuff unnecessarily difficult.

Kak Mah balas carutan sponsor yang sibuk carut dia pakai baju lengan panjang. Amik ko!


Note I am ignoring all the kenen kenen punya action dalam Akademi. Waste of time.

Zizan is comic relief, but can't they bring people yang leh tolong persembahan bebudak instead of wasting time already taken up by sponsors?

Toi - memula masuk kena ready, selain tetap angsa dan sharp jerk as well as performance time solo buat derk.
Nubhan - not enough, needs more, not at the level which he can be, kira masih satu kampung ngan Toi.
Stacy - in the same boat, bung Ramli kata dia, Toi dan Nubhan naik teksi skali. Sebutan tak jelas.
Riz - seorang pergi Sabah, seorang pergi Penang, seorang pergi Penang kata bung Ramli indicating nothing is linked, also lack of energy.
Nadia - sama gak masa muzik solo tak wat apa apa.
Stanly - masuk je gone, naik key tapi tak kena.
Nubhan & Stacy - Stacy ditegur to be more firm
Nadia & Riz - Nadia dikatakan cam tak ready, and tak carry weight of the song on her part.
Stanly & Toi - seorang angsa, seorang kepit kata bung... amik ko!!!!!

So are they ready for tomorrow? Not by a long shot...

By the way, tima kasih semua yang SMS dan call serta mesej tak kisah lah kat YM ke at forum Cari (serta kengkawan yang komen kat thread) for all your support.

Paling mengejutkan, Anita Sarawak herself messaged puji my first effort. I know it's not much of an effort, tapi baru kali pertama lakon, so kira lega gak orang leh tima.

By the way, pada meka yang ikut gaya, telemovie semalam, is basically tuk end the first season, as well as intro musim kedua yang akan datang, Tuh yang bersambung tuh. Nizam kata aku ada muncul dua tiga episod tuk musim kedua, so that means more shooting. Adoi!

The origin...

Dari bebanyak buka puasa semalam, aku pilih ke buka puasa Astro, which includes AMP, iaitu Astro Radio, Maestro etc. Thanks to the skilled driving of avoiding the massively jammed areas, and 'safely' whizzing through the slight crawl, and also the help of highways, the SMART tunnel and my Smart Tag, made it to the event just on time.

Sampai je kat Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, where it was held, elok elok masuk je dewan, azan pun berkumandang, so it was just nice timing.

Ramainya orang... pening gak.Didn't really eat, but then again as usual, time berbuka aku memang takde mood nak makan sangat.

Claustrophobic gaks, but later when everyone da melantak and the crowd thinned out, it was fine. Dapat mingle gak ngan kengkawan dan borak. Here are some pics I shot. Hope you guys liked it.

The best tuh dapat jumpa kengkawan cam kak Tweety and friend. Selama ni kat blog jerk layan.. heh.. kak... hope you didn't find me too freaky. Kecian Boo Boo cam bosan, tapi in the end, layan gak, kan sayang?
Malas nak post pepanjang, hope you guys find the pictures nice enough to make it worth your time. Nak tidur, esok nak keja awal.

Lagikpon, ada planning SECRET PROJECT (key words here) nak kena wat ala pre planning nih. Gonna be busy soon for the thing to happen in about two weeks or so.
It's going to take up some time, but it's going to be fun.
