Slank!

Semalam layan Konsert SuriaFM Green Everyday or whatever it's called. Malas nak posting panjang panjang, so bebanyak aku post pics jer lah ek.

Hope you guys like it. Tapi yang beshnya dapat jumpa Samuel Rizal (ala yang lakon Eiffel... I'm In Love tuh). Tak bump into Nicholas Saputra...but sempat lepak ngan Titi DJ, Yuni Shara and Slank!

Ramai gak local artis terlibat...so ok ler. The event last the whole evening into the night so was a bit bushed by the end of it. Not my thing to stay up late... must be the age thing. Apapon, it wasn't exactly the best concert I've been to sebab kelam kabut, generator blow, and banyak technical problems.

Erm... on with the pics je laa..

Dafi and Jac.

Imran Ajmain dan Samuel Rizal

Hani dan Faizal

Amer Sofaz (smart da botak)

Slank!!!

Showmanship Slank top notch!

Penonton overdose time Slank.

Amik ko..siap catwalk lagik stage dia.

Yuni Shara

Sempat touch up katanya...

Transformers is awesome!!!!

After the horror that was Harry Potter, aku didn't have any high hopes for Transformers. Lagikpon sebab aku memang da follow development of the movie from the start masa meka wat pre production, aku tak impress langsung how meka ubah banyak designs.

Yerlah... Megatron looked nothing like the original, Optimus Prime was just so gay with his new design, and bloody hell, Bumblebee was not even a Volkswagon sebab they couldn't get the rights to use the Beetle.

But after watching it... I have to say it was just fabulously awesome! Definitely THE movie of the summer.

The plot was a little shaky, and I didn't like the idea of how the cube was the focus and what it did, or how Megatron had come to Earth eons before, only to be trapped in ice, etc. Even how they took on the form of the vehicles was dodgy (tengok skali, scan dan leh transform into it...totally whacked - so sacrilegeous that Michael Bay should be shot!!!)

Tapi the visuals made up for everything that I could have bitched about the movie. The CGI was just awesome! And I think selain Pirates of the Carribean, Transformers is one of the few movies that put special effects to good use without overdoing it.

Twenty two feet tall robots fighting it out on the streets, and not overdose of effects? I know it sound silly, but they made it look good.

The idiot who played Sam is as irritating as ever from his Nickelodeon days, tapi aku didn't even get put off by him.

In fact there were quite a few impressive scenes. More than a few really. All the sequences with the Transformers was awesome.

But a cute scene that deserves a mention is bab meka perli VW ngan tunjuk masa car dealer tuh nak jual the Beetle over the Camaro which was Bumblebee and dia leh ketuk VW tuh. I bet Volkswagon is pissed as hell.

A throwback to the cartoon was when Megatron marah Starscreen bab failing him, so every episode of the weekly cartoons.

Erm... but cool as al hell. Wish they'd had Soundwave... that would have been really cool.
Overall, this movie has a crap plot, but again the action sequences are AWESOME!!! So amzing in fact, I'll be going for another time to catch it again sebab memang meletop.

Perhaps aku lebih review dari segi nostalgia, because that's why I love the Transformers.. because I watched it religiously growing up.

Still.. I think even if I hadn't known about the cartoon, I would still appreciate the movie. More in fact... sebab aku seem to have hang-ups sebab know it too well da..

Oh well.. watch the movie and determine if for yourself.

If there is only one movie you could watch over the next few months.. this would be IT!!!

A blockbuster like how they used to make it. Even though it costs less than half the price tag of Pirates, tapi ko takkan perasan that their budget is only US$150 million (tuk meka sikit ler tuh).
Ok...nak sign off to play with my Optimus Prime voice changer helmet... (cam sial gi Toys 'R Us pastuh sold out lak toys dia....laku sangat!!!)

More than meets the eye!

Okay...so I suppose EVERYONE'S watched Transformers by now, except me. The most anticipated movie of the year, which I've been following in my blog (kalao korang ingat dari tahun lepas, I had lot of videos and pics posted as the movie was under production)... and I'm the bloody last to see it.

Aku rasa makcik cleaner pun da tengok sebab I swear I heard them mumble something about robots in disguise. Keji tau...

Aduh...nevermind... janji dapat tengok a few days later. Sebab Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix aku dapat tengok dulu before anyone else, so I guess this evens it out lor. Am not going to let up updating about Transformers sebab aku memang suka gila.

And at the end of it, it didn't disappoint. Aku pegi tengok sorang siang tadik. After a busy and horrible week, today was my real and only time out sebab da abih keja, lega for the week.

How did I find it... nanti aku review la... nak tidur dulu.

Tomorrow lak ada event....tunggu ler... banyak pics tuh...

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix

Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix

Cam kesial... da ler aku minat gila Harry Potter punya series. I've read all the books, all six of them, over and over and over again! And walaopon selama ni aku tak harap movies nak as good as the book, let me say this now.

This is THE WORST Harry Potter movie ever!!!

Ok... so while everyone has to wait a little more to watch the movie, and aku ada bragging rights to say, I'm one of the few WORLDWIDE to watch it first, it really wasn't all that good, ok!

Banyak ler benda. I don't know how you guys will like it, cause memasing kan taste lelain. And maube sebab aku fanm abih, penilaian aku lain sikit kot, ngan perbandingan banyak to the book.

So let me put my review in a simple context of negative and positive points so korang leh pick whatever you guys want, as a guideline to determine samaada korang nak layan movie ni ke tak.

Apapon aku nyesal bangun awal pagik (10.30am is pretty darned esrly for me) bangun begitu awal tuk pra tonton pilem ni kat MidValley Megamall. Tapi takpe la... nak tunggu semua orang seminggu camtuh baru dapat tengok... and tuh pun aku check online hanya beberapa pratonton diadakan worldwide.

So memang this is going to be ONE of the first few reviews of Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix worldwide.

C'mon VOGUE!!! Let your body move to the music...no really...Voldemort vogue-ing?

Dumbledore's Army

The climactic scene in the Ministry of Magic. The best action sequence yet in a Harry Potter film.

Why Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix is WORTH WATCHING

-This time around, all the kids can really act. The come across better characters actors, sampai Rupert Grint who plays Ron Weasley pun not as annoying.
-Tonks shows her cool powers as a shapeshifter.
-Great cameos by Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange and Emma Thompson as Sybil Trelawney.
-We get to see Luna Lovegood!
-The pace of the movie is quite fast, so it's not so draggy like the other movies. One of the better edited ones...
-Well, semangat lagik terbakar nak get the new book, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hollows with Pottermania striking all through July
-Cinematography was nice, as was the art direction.
-Erm... the movie was free...

And that's all the good points I could think of. Now the bad points.

Why Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix SUCKS!
-The whole original storyline in the book is BUTCHERED! The movie appears ONLY loosely based about the book.
-Many subplots missing (no involvement of The Quibbler, Kreacher cuma tunjuk kejap with no Dobby, no mention of Quidditch at all, the centaurs are minimised etc)
-Banyak benda lari konti sebab change of director (who the fuck is David Yates???) Small things like the look of the fire when Sirius uses the Floo Network to bigger things like how the kids get to Hogwarts using the Thestral carriages.
- So many characters like new ones in Tonks,Luna as well as old ones like Snape, Lupin, Sirius, and especially Ginny Weasley are reduced to merely cameo like appearances. Even Draco Malfoy had about two seconds onscreen.
-Some of the effects look BLOODY cheap!!! Early in the movie, Harry and the members of the Order of the Phoenix fly along Thames which looks like some boring green screen shit. Even Superman from 1978 was as good...
-The climax scene in the fight at the Ministry of Magic between Voldemort and the Death Eaters versus Dumbledore, versus Harry and the rest of the kids and the members of the Order, was more like an anti climax.
-The supposed hot scene of Harry kissing with Cho Chang is overrated and a watse of time. Ciommolot liplock yang slurpee, tapi takde emosi and it took too bloody long
-The movie was NOT worth sitting through over two hours nak kebaskan bontot.
-The magic, which is essential, banyak cam, glanced through jer. Tak fokus sangat.
-With so much time waste on stupid things like Harry badly kissing, an emotional moment like Sirius dying took only ten seconds to get over.
-Not to mention fun scenes masa kembar Weasley berdua tuh throw the school in chaos.
-A lot of things that tie Order Of The Phoenix to the next episode which is Half Blood Prince was absent..
-Why watch it when you can watch Transformers again?

So in a nutshell, that's my review. Simple jer... korang nak tengok ke tak pepandai ler.My verdict?

Two freaking stars out of five. Tuh pun aku rasa overrated. And yes, speaking od overrated, this is THE MOST overrated movie of the year!

Anyway, today dapat news yang cam sial sangat. Yes yes...harga rokok naik lagik! Keji kan... asik naik je. Leave us smokers alone la. Anyways, ni new prices for smokes in Malaysia now. Still cheaper compared to places like Singapore yang S$11 plus for a f****g Marlboro 20 atau lebih kurang RM25.

Still, it's extortion tol la...ni price list from British American Tobacco. Yang Phillip Morris tak dapat lak. But I know Marlboro Reds 20s are now RM8.20, naik 80 sen. Basically semua naik antara 60 hingga ke 80 sen.

NEW CIGARETTE PRICES FOLLOWING EXCISE INCREASE
As a result of the 25% excise increase in addition to the ad valorem component, sales tax, distributor and retailer margin, as well as the inflationary cost of doing business, British American Tobacco Malaysia has revised its cigarette prices.
The new cigarette prices, which will be effective Thursday, 5 July 2007, are as follows:-

Dunhill Fine Cut 20s range - RM9.20
Dunhill D360 20s range - RM8.60
Dunhill King Size 20s range - RM8.20
Dunhill King Size 14s range - RM5.90
Kent King Size 20s range - RM8.20
Pall Mall Plain 20s - RM8.60
Pall Mall King Size 20s range - RM6.70
Pall Mall King Size 14s range - RM4.90
Pall Mall King Size 25s - RM7.30
Benson & Hedges King Size 20s - RM8.20
Benson & Hedges King Size 14s - RM5.90
Peter Stuyvesant 20s - RM8.20
Peter Stuyvesant 14s - RM5.90
Perilly's 100s 20s - RM6.90
Perilly's King Size 20s range - RM6.70
Perilly's King Size 25s range - RM7.30

Ikon

Alamak... tak ramai orang lak. Ni baru sampai kat PICC surprised tengok kosong sikit. Erm... oh well, sebab jumlah yang bertanding so obviously ler kureng gak.

When the show kick off, memang gelak. first sebab lawak tol tengok intro Citrawarna. Erm... oh well.

Tapi pastu gelak ngan lawak Sarimah yang memang nampak semakin getting more comfortable ngan hosting. Masuk masuk je miming lagu Snap, The Power, siap nari ok. syukur nya hari ni dia tak jerit seperti minggu lepas. Bingit woo... tapi today ok la. Guess it's just a question of easing in slowly.

Now on with the show.. by the way semua peserta kali ni diberikan lapan minit tuk total performance. So jangan terkejut kalao majoriti wat ala ala konsert medle tak abih or yang takde lagu lain nak perjuangkan remix satu lagu sampai extended abih..

Gerhana Ska Cinta
Tetris (Intro)/Is There Any Soul In Your Music/Things Of The Past/Senyum Ragamu
Gerhana Ska Cinta C kicked off the show ngan setiap anggota pakai t shirt yang ada abjad. Nice... cute take . Kinda reminds me of those little buttons with alphabets.
They started off quite well, proving their tight sound was an admirable representation of the underground scene they originated from.

Intro Tetris kelakar... and a nice touch to kick off the show.Their laid back sound was a breath of fresh air,

IN There Any Soul In Your Music and Things Of The Past were a little too laid back, and I think in terms of competition salah lagu sebab while musically proven they're up to it, wish they'd stress a little more on the vocal performance aspect to make it more powerful.

Deserving winners for the band category...that's for sure. just perhaps... it wasn't enough.
They just better find a wat to make their performance sizzle a little more so that it'll be able to match up with some butt kicking acts from the other countries, especially Indonesia.

After all, credibility is fine and all, but they seriously have to think of things in a more competitive level.

Farah
Tak Pernah Ada/Gembira Hidup Ini
Erm... seriously I love Farah. Tapi aku nih dilema sikit bila tengok persembahan dia. Bukan apa... naik pentas je pening aku. Imej dia... erm... burok.

With a glittery top, couple with a short dress yang ruffles and all yang nampak tak siap with gaudy heels, it was just tack-o-rama.

Cuma nasib baik, first song, masa Tak Pernah Ada, aku impress gila. She dd better than last week, and it's quite an inspiring show by her in comparison to previous performances I've seen.

Makes you almost forget her baju buruk... notice I said ALMOST!

Masuk lagu kedua, Gembira Hidup Ini, ketara yang Farah ni sebenarnya quite hardworking and quite impressive actually.

Cuma aku rasa nak bunuh stylist dia jer sebab tak kuasa tol tengok minggu demi minggu keburukan pakaian dan imej dia yang pesen asik tak jadik.

Oh well...

Here's hoping they realise that image tuh adalah penting bagi seseorang artis dan Farah sendiri amik berat isu pakaian dan imej.

Not quite the umpphh yang diperlukan tuk wakili Malaysia.

Flop Poppy
Sewaktu Dulu/Keliru
Starting out quite well, ni one of the things aku nak puji pasal Flop Poppy. They don't take things for granted.

All dressed to the theme of a marching band, with five members of an actual marching band, yang midway through the first song, battle with the drummer in a clash of percussions, it was quite interesting.

Nevermind kat instrument memasing ada tampal kertas ngan logo Bentley Music.

Andy and the boys in kilts, proved clothes make the man... siap pakai kilt lagik.

Musically they were quite impressive, and they provided a punch to things where others failed.

Sewaktu Dulu and Keliru itself was a pleasure to listen to as it displayed a band where all members were in synch with each other, and yes, they did sound like they were indeed having fun.

Of the eight minutes time frame, they didn't waste a second to amaze.

I don't know how it'll sound on TV but in the venue there was some problem in terms of miking up the percussions.

Not that original... but in a night where things were run of the mill and biasa biasa, they stood out as the best.

Oh they brought the house down...that's for sure... again and again.

A potential to represent Malaysia.

Dayang Nurfaizah

Seandainya Masih Ada Cinta/Ingin Ku Miliki/Dayang Sayang Kamu
Lama tak dengar dia nyanyi Seandainya Masih Ada Cinta. Rindu tol. And in a simple black outfit with a diamante studded belt buckle and matching heels, she look classy!!!

Elegance in all simplicity which contrast with her occasionally overdose punya soul. Still, kekuatan lagu tuh itself was enough to get the message across if she didn't stretch it sampai meleret sangat.

Most good singers tend to forget when they sing, it's for the people, not for themselves. And there has to be a balance between artistry and acceptance. Kalau da goreng sampai hangus nak makan apa? Erm... when it comes to pop appeal there has to be the proper placement to achieve that climax, cause at the end of the day, it is about the pop appeal of the performance.

Between a mass appeal stage and a blues club, you just have to know the difference.

She redeemed herself in Ingin Ku Miliki, which I thought wasn't the best song choice, but ended on a high with Dayang Sayang Kamu.

Nicely done though, and definite one of the top candidates to represent Malaysia.

By the way terkejut Dayang kurang lak accessories berketul seperti biasa. Heh... still she looked sweet.

Reshmonu
Walk Away (Slow Jam)/Where There Is Love There Is You/Hey Walley/Understand
Ni satu agik kes tergoreng lebih. One thing for sure pasal Reshmonu, show dia mesti entertaining. Kali ni not any different. In fact meriah abih... tapi konsep pesta bhangra sikit ler.

A little bit too much if you ask me, but what to do, some artistes like I said kurang faham ngan competition level performances and still more often that not come across as overdose and self indulgent.

Nak wat camna... erm... goyang pala leh, tapi darpada segi leh tak dia wakili Malaysia... memang boleh. Cuma not in this competition.

So... kira filler ler nih. janji enjoy, tapi ala ala interlude ler ler sparuh jalan among the more performances yang sizzled.

Still good and admirable effort.

Just again, wrong place at the wrong time.

OAG
Slumber
The only act to perform only one song selain Jinbara, OAG however is undoubtedly on that level where bukan sebab takde lagu lain ke tak mampu nak buat performance yang lain... sebab their performance was still enjoyable withut all the pizzazz.

Biar simple janji bagus.

Walaupon bersilih ganti anggota OAG nih, still, I'm amazed at how tight they kept their set. With OAG, there was no need for gimmicks and such nak wow the crowd.

Ok... baju Radhi yang kuning, merah and black ala tartan tuh could be considered a gimmick, but let's face it, Radhi is one colourful character camna pon.

Besides their quirk mage nak bersongkok dan berbaju Melayu is an admirable effort and being themselves and bridging the gap of being cool and still appreciating the finer points of our culture.

Radhi throughout the song, wat cam konsert lak, throwing caution to the wind, and buat memang slumber jer...siap mintak crowd nyanyi sekali and made sure everyone had fun. Siap pusing pusing la... baring kat lantai la... lompat lompat la... dan sebagainya.

Erm... cuma apa tuh Radhi conteng muka tuh.

THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT FROM A BAND!

No gimmicks, no pressure... just tons of fun!

Leh masuk tak? I hope so!

Good choice of their sing-a-long hit yang pleasant, and yet still leh despite it being a tad mild, cukup nak induced a little head banging. Please oh please everone vote for them!

Mawi
Demi Dia/Yasallam
Lagu dah sedap... erm.. botak pun nampak semangat. Tapi for some reason, it didn't work. Takde lah buruk, just not his best dan sayang la sebab ramai masih mempertikaikan kebolehan dia.

Daripada mula, da mula sumbang sana sini. Intro shaky gila. The chorus was much better, tapi still, sayang seribu sayang.

Still, despite that, I put Mawi on the level of Dayang dan Jac, my original three.

The next song Yasallam aku nak gelak sikit. Ngan intro Aduh Saliha, burok siot backing dia!

Rasa cam tengok video clip lie dari filem Diva. Very the Citrawarna yang erm...azab sebenarnya. Vocally, I think ni lagu salah ler. Sebab takde punch.

Cam tak pikir lak ramai malam ni pasal pilihan lagu yang mampu tonjolkan the best of their singing and performing abilities.

Erm... not the best, and based on performance, aku rasa Mawi lum brsedia nak jadik ikon dari segi competition.

Takper la botak... ko pun da jadik salah seorang ikon for Malaysian music with or without this competition.

Masa kau kan sampai gak kang... apapon... I still feel it's such a waste.

I think so far only Flop Poppy dan OAG jer ang betul betul paham what it takes dari segi nak menghiburkan audience.

May
Cintamu Mekar Di Hati/Dari Kaca Mata
Erm.... what do I say. I love lagu Cintamu Mekar Di Hati dari kecik. Memag rempit dan very the rock tak cuci rambut seluar ketat dan busuk lar kalau ikutkan ngan evolusi rock skang.

But who cares!!!! I love them. Heh...walaopon Ikon zaman 80an.... leh la...janji head banging. Great show and definitely enjoy abih!!!!

Cuma... nak kata meka nak menang dan wakili Malaysia, aku rasa tak perlu la. Kang orang ingat muzik Malaysia ni masih time warp.

I mean honestly the sound is so dated.

The second song proved me right. A throwback to the 80s rock yang memang all about wailing guitar and screaming with lots of unwashed hair flying about.

Erm... fun.. but no thank you.

Nice to watch... but that's about it. Time to move on and come back to the 2000s.

Jaclyn Victor
Tiada Lagi Indah/Inilah Masanya
The favourite for the solo representative tfor Malaysia to the regional Ikon, Jac memang tak dapat dinafikan has the perfect package nak buktikan Malaysia da sampai tahap untuk digeruni kat peringkat dunia.

Her vocals are amazing... and masa dia tarik, maunya tercabut anak tekak kita semua sekumpulan yang hadir event ni bersama menjerit tuk dia.

Sayang baju dia kali ni busuk... yerla...selepas kena tegur seksi....

That golden off-white outfit is just plain UGLY!!! No I take that back... it's not ugly...it's FUGLY!
And that shawl is so salah. Takper...burok mana baju dia, suara dia tetap the best! Oh my God. Does she ever fail?

Erk...masuk Inilah Masanya, she tears off the humongoues misshapened skirt to reveal a little tutu in side with leggings and matching boots. If you took that shawl away, she would look cute, cause I think the outfit then became quite nice.

But that shawl just made it a little fugly.

Urm.. ni mesti kes seksi yang timbul terus takleh dedah ni. Akibatnya camni la. Dedah sikit lantak la.. hish...

Tapi bestnya time ni sebab biasa Jac amazing time ballads, ngan lagu berentak upbeat pun, Jac buktikan she is versatile.Yeap kebolehan vokal dia tak leh dipertikaikan lagi, thugh I would love to see her dance a little more, even though kali ni dia bop around and looked like she was having massive fun... walaopon ada ketika dia nampak cam kurang biasa.

The best soloist of the night.

Need I say any more?

Mungkin ada yang tak suka... but she is the best we have, and we need the best to represent us so that kami leh bangga kat peringkat lebih tinggi dan industri kami leh digeruni orang luar. It's a matter of pride.

Jinbara
Farhana
Korang penah tengok filem Garasi tak? The ending scene mana band bak traditional instruments and all sebab nak wat fusion rock dan traditional?

Yes, Jinbara ciplak the idea and came across as a weak-assed rip off yang didn't make it. And what's wrong with their hair. My God!!!!

It's so uncool...it could never be in.

Oh well... it's a miracle some people even enjoy the song. I mean Farhana isn't all that bad,...tapi erm... maybe some people just like ppping in a time machine to be reminded of how things were 20 years ago.

Dressing a lot better than May la... and their musicianship is a lot more polished walaupon they may not have the same amount of years behind them like May. But May unlike them... are legends.

The hair... what's with their hair????

Anyways...gemersik gesekan biola (heh...tol ke ayat tuh) memang besh... but still reminded me too much of Garasi visually).

Rock rempit yang decent tapi aku tak bayangkan meka in the context of this competition. I mean... bandingkan contohnya ngan Samsons? Personal preference for me sebab aku rasa meka busuk, tapi aku akui meka memang ok lar dari banyak segi. Just not something I think people regionally will appreciate.

But...erm...very masses if you ask me. Pandai pandai paham...

Well... at least they weren't boring...

Erm... enough said.

My vote for bands remain either OAG or Flop Poppy. Solo?? Jac. Tatau ler jadik ke tak. Not sure bila meka akan tayang kat Astro... but korang nilai sendiri ler ek and make your own choices.

Dayang pose special. Si Jac dan Farra cam kumpulan Ratu lak.

Mawi wat pose dak nakal kena denda dok kat sudut.

Happy birthday Shawal

I know this may just a little bit late, tapi nak wish happy birthday kat Shawal. Sebenarnya terlupa.

The whole day keja nak abihkan paperwork sebelom nak buat any actual work. Biasalah.

Beginning of a new month, overtime and sebagainya nak uruskan. And then because in the last month aku ke Singapore dua kali dan Jakarta sekali, ada ler travel claims and expenses nak di buat. Seriously, the amount of paperwork itself takes forever. Tapi, sebab malam sebelom terlampau rajin bersengkang mata lagik skali, aku banyak abihkan keja beforehand, so terus edit sana sini dan hantar je keja yang da siap.

Lega rasanya. Tapi bila da siap segala, and nothing hanging over my head... bosan lak. I guess some us of just thrive living in the fast lane, hooked on stress and pressure as much as we try to avoid it.

No real plans for tonight, tapi dalam buntu nak lepak mana sebab memang malas nak balik dan tidur, lepak je kat office.

About 9pm, Juan messaged dan ajak ke rumah Shawal tuk makan makan sebab Afi (erm... 'jiran' Shawal yang malas update blog... leh?) .ajak. So, completed what I had to, kemaskan barang barang dan gerak ke Wangsa Maju.

Found the place finally (not too hard) walaopon si Juan ampeh battery phone M-Mobile nya KO mati terpaksa pakai phone Ajami tuk direct aku.

Sampai ramai gak orang... so lepak luar ngan Adi sembang kejap. Then went in for makan. Shawal's parents are such nice people... merasalah kesian lak aku sibuk nak main metal bending ada ler dua tiga sudu garpu rumah tuh da ada erm... kesan dipulas bengkok dan sebagainya (kata Afi buat dah...heh!)

Sat down and gabbed and before you knew it pun da almost 2am bila nak balik. Erm... haiyo... tak malu ke... hish. Lari balik dulu... singgah Danau Kota punya Uptown nak buy some stuff.
Sampai rumah didn't feel like sleeping... so stayed up till subuh baru nak lelapkan mata. Time for my Xanax prescription.

Ok la... drifting off to sleep.

By the way, esok semifinal Ikon. Jangan lupa lintas langsung dari blog ni ek. Aku try update pics on the spot gak.

Makanan sedap ok!!! I like! Ni sebelah ni ingat tak 'Wawa', calon isteri terbaik, sapa nak kenal, tinggal mesej kat Comments dan dia kana balas.

Birthday boy... gayut ngan Gegurl ke....oops!!!

PS - Two weeks more my turn. But no celebration. Aku mula mula pikir nak buat. Skang da tak kuasa. Turnng 32 is no big event after all...

My Heroes

Looks like the man upstairs still loves me, and despite the comic relief of unnecessary drama continuing today in some petty bull crap, aku dapat berita yang menarik ni which really made my day (apart from an SMS or two which made me smile)

.

Yes... if you love Heroes as much as I do, you guys too mesti seronok to know that the cast and creators are going on a world tour to meet fans of the series. Jadual seperti tertera diatas. and yes, surprise... surprise... I am going to be in Singapore!!!

Setakat ni banyak spekulasi sapa yang akan mewakili Heroes kat Singapore.

The cast on tour will be almost everyone involved.

Santiago Cabrera (Isaac), Jack Coleman (Horn-Rimmed Glasses Dude), Noah Gray-Cabey (Micah), Greg Grunberg (Matt), Ali Larter (Niki), James Kyson Lee (Ando), Masi Oka (Hiro), Hayden Panettiere (Claire), Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder), Zachary Quinto (Sylar), Adrian Pasdar (Nathan), and Milo Ventimiglia (Peter).

Speculation is that Masi Oka and Adrian Pasdar are coming (let's hope!) but I know at least two confirmed names for Singapore so far are Sendhil Ramamurthy and Ali Larter.

If they stick to these four, whoopee!!! Wouldn't mind if they threw in Zachary Quinto too... coolness!

Anyhoo... Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix ada sneak preview on Thursday, and yes I am going for it. Not missing this one.

For those of you catching it... here's a preview.

Harry Potter & The Order Of The Phoenix

More on the upcoming Harry Potter

The one no one wanted you to see!

Nak abihkan keja. Staying up again tonight. Wanna see how many hours I clock up before I really need sleep.

So you think you have problems?

So you think you have problems? Out of a job? Financially strapped? Love life sucks? Feeling insecure? Desperately seeking attention for it? Your manicure chipped?

Whatever it is... do you really think you have it bad? Let me school you on something. This was a scene I saw masa in Jakarta kat Pasar Baru

There was this old lady. When I saw her first... she was sitting down. With a wizened old face, scrunched up through years of bullshit she probably had to go through, she cut a forlorn figure sitting on her own, with a cane, and a black plastic bag, watching the world go by in the fast paced and unforgivingly challenging metropolitan city of Jakarta.

Oh yes... people stopped occasionally to give her money. But she never asked for it. Not once. Not at all. She would sit for half an hour intervals or so for about fifteen minutes to rest her tired feet, yang cuma pakai selipar nipis, offering no protection whatsoever for her tired, aging toes.

She was not looking for handouts. Or a loan. Or sympathy. Nothing. She was just minding her own business, without complaint.Kali pertama dia bangun, baru aku sedar, how strong this old lady was.

No... she walked with a slow shuffle. One step at a time, almost painfully. Painful even to watch.

Her strength was in her will, her heart and her resolve.

Sebab selepas beberapa langkah, I saw her use the same cane that barely supported her weight, to take a stab at some plastic flying and swirling on the ground. She bent over slowly and with much effort, pulled at the plastic pastu masukkan dalam beg sampah dia.

Probably in her Seventies, nenek tua ni masih bekerja. She had no time for self pity.

She had no time for moaning about her fate.

Never mind her drab night gown. Or the cracked soles of her feet. Tu semua tak penting. Yang penting meneruskan tugasnya tanpa mengharap belas kasihan orang kerana umur atau keadaan dirinya.

She just kept going at it. Slowly cleaning whatever area she could cover for little bits of trash.

Tak henti henti...

Menjerit hati aku... ,menangis... meraung melihat kegigihan nenek tua nih.

Honestly. I cried. I cried as I sat on the stairs observing her for over half an hour. Thinking about the selfish people in my life who think THEY'VE got problems.

Thinking about myself and how I allowed to let insignificant things pull me away from the flow of my life.. those little dramas, I allow myself to be engaged in. She shamed me for not being happy with what I have and not being thankful enough with her strength.

And she made me angry at myself and a lot of people who seldom appreciate the things we take so for granted.

And she went on....inspiring me with every second. Pausing to buy a drink - with HER OWN money from the pocket of her dressing gown with a string tied around her waist as a belt.No freebies. No asking for sympathy.

She could have... but she didn't. She was earning her living. And tetap nenek tua nih, pas abihkan her refreshment, offering perhaps a minute burst of energy, she continued. Painfully.
Inspiring me with every second, as I shed tear after tear. about how she persevered in the face of adversity. Looking back at these pictures, I recall how she handled herself.

Derita nya hanya Tuhan je yang tahu. Tapi dia tak pernah menyerah kalah pada takdirnya. She did something about it.

And maybe, at the the end of it. She's the happiest person if all of us were compared. Happy not in terms of much for us, but in terms of her true spirit to fight against the predetermined fate of our lives, and making me at least, realise that we choose to make ourselves what we are.

Someone asked me, "why don't you do something about it. Why don't you give her some money."

I could. I always do when I see someone who needs that help. But money... unlike what some will believe... is not the answer to everything.

I identified with something in this old woman. Something told me, while she will not refuse aid, her pride was worth a lot more. That's why she wanted to EARN her living.

In every painful step. She looked more taller, with a more elegant poise than most people I've seen and more beautiful in my eyes than anyone I've ever met in my whole life.

Her beauty came from her strength, her heart, her will and her poise in dealing with the world. And bagaimana dia tidak menyalahkan takdir untuk nasibnya, dan menyerah kalah begitu saja.

No amount of material items on you can make you as beautiful as this old lady. Kepada nenek, I know you won't be reading this, but I pray to God... that he'll bless you for you are truly one of his most beautiful creations.

Aku nitis air mata ketika taip ni... in my few days of incessant drama never ceasing, you have taught me a lesson without knowing about what real courage and strength is. May God bless you...

My theme song. For so long now. Dedicated to all the drama queens who are littered throughout the different stages of my life. No thanks. Carry your emotional baggage and your self righteousness far away. My worth and self value cannot be assessed by someone who deems themselves worthy by materialistic means nor false adulation. Used to cry to this. Now it's more about holding on to the strength I have inside me, harnessing it and bringing it forth to use it demi masa depan aku sendiri. There is no one you can depend on but yourself. But some friends are for keeps and they keep me going. Thanks to those true and have weathered everything with me. No more drama.Pampered myself a little today. Didn't feel much better, neither did it restore my faith in humanity. All through this little difficult patch which I will undoubtedly bounce back, stronger and wiser, I owe it to one person who has been my emotional strength, and taught me much despite so much we've been through. There's this song, that helped me though my first ever relationship. I put up two versions of the song below grabbed from Youtube. The first version by Sinead O'Connor (with hair, sebab takut nanti ada yang bsiing dia botak gak) and the other a cover by Faye Wong (with lyrics). For those yang are going through a difficult moment from a failed relationship, this is the best medicine I can precribe. The lyrics are just spiritual, and this song serves exactly like what I read once about how Sinead offered peace through this song, like the voice of an angel being carried through the deepest chasms of hell.

It's just been an emotional and weird couple of days for me... pray to God for the even half of the strength of that old woman...
