Just finished Sehati Berdansa nya press conference. Kesian pon ada kengkawan yang uruskan majlis, sebab focus was on Awal and Scha pas isu Christmas even gi clubbing konon ditangkap polis bagai kerana ujian air kencing... or at least tuh implication based on news reports, and kata-kata dari beberapa blog bijak pandai (yang speku hado lebih gaks)

Anyway, first of all, congrats to Sein and Nana. Honestly aku support si Sazzy and Naz, tapi takpe la. Ni program realiti, so paham paham je la... SMS akan menentukan kemenangan. Anyway, this is for charity, so congrats to both couples, because banyak masa meka laburkan (prizes or not) for their respective charities with their efforts.

I have to say, the costumes as usual, were FUGLY! Every year, in and out, they get tackier and tackier. Oh wait a minute. They can't get tackier, because they've always been butt fugly anyways.

On to more interesting stuff. Pas abih press conference yang utama, one more diadakan. This time with hosts. Of course pas semua puji memuji usaha memasing (which deservedly so, sebab they all did a good job this season, though I think Scha nervous sikit malam ni - and I keep thinking of how well Linda Onn did in comparison, which is in no manner carot si Scha, just maybe dia memang nervous kot)

Then on to the goods.

Merasalah... panas gak soalan. But both Awal and Scha cleared the air.

We all talked a bit about the whole issue and how it blew up, no thanks to speculation from various parties. Again, no thanks to blog-blog yang banyak tak check fakta, based on hearsay which was in no way substantiated.

Oh well.. here's a lesson, guys. Stop believing crap, and try and find out the truth by actually asking people who know what's going on. Parking yourself in front of your PC doesn't mean you say stuff which immediately becomes truth.

Awal was a little sore about it, but nak wat camna. Terima je lah. Blog start semua memberikan memasing peluang nak bersuara. Tapi kekadang, orang feeling suara tuh leh disalahgunakan tuk membuat duit. Nak wat camna... tunggu je la kang surat saman da bersepah kang baru ada yang insaf. Or at least tutup blog dan pindah wat duit tempat lain.

Decisions...

First pada yang minat Sehati Berdansa. Semalam buka puasa kat Bijan kat Jalan Ceylon (malas amik pic). Ada acara mengumumkan sapa bakal mengacarakan Sehati Berdansa musim ketiga.

You know the hype and all that of the show and sapa akan gantikan Linda Onn kan? No surprise, seperti dijangka, Scha Alyahya akan step in and fill Linda's shoes untuk host the program along with Fahrin Ahmad dan Awal Ashaari.



So skang tunggu je meka umum sapa pasangan-pasangan yang akan ambil bahagian.

Anyway, pas berbuka tadi rush balik nak siapkan ada keja tertangguh sikit. Need a clear mind. Stressed sebab ada client belum settle payment walaopon Raya da dekat. Feel bad cause I so want to pay some of my subs awal as a Raya bonus. Nak wat camna.. ni la kalau deal ngan corporate bodies. Sabau jer la...

About 3 pagik tadi gi lepak rumah Ed, dak junior aku masa skolah yang aku jumpa balik (haven't met for years until serempak shooting Jalan Lama hari tu). Biasalah... nak berguru ngan dia pasal special effect. For those of you yang tengok my Halloween outfit last year aku wat DIY nya effect, that's pretty close to professional treatment da... cuma nak betulkan teknik sikit. Tak sabar Halloween ni aku da ada idea aku nak wat pe da.

Yang pentingnya, si Ed ni gi London nak study all this, so not only aku dapat curi sikit ilmu dia... yang pentingnya... dia ada complete box set Little Britain!!! If you guys haven't watched this, you should.



Hilarious! Sebenarnya aku da ada pun DVD rips of the UK punya three seasons, the Christmas special in Little Britain abroad and the special Comic Relief episode - so kira aku nya koleksi da complete.

But tamakkan DVD commentary and extra bits sebab aku nya ada yang missing some of that, PLUS Ed had the Comic Relif LIVE show. Aiyo! Lengkap! (balasannya aku pass kat dia my one season of US series Little Britain and the special Comic Relief episode)

Owh by the way.. lari topik sikit. What do you guys think... aku selama ni blogging dari laptop yang aku beli beberapa tahun lepas. My trusty HP Compaq Armada. Which I have to say is still working without much problems.

But aku dapat lobang tuk dapat a new 'toy' which is also for me an investment. What do you think? Should I?



Now... aku ni bukan peminat Mac, but I have to admit Mac ni lebih superior la performance dia dari PC. Especially kalao nak edit benda alah yang memberatkan seperti gambar ke, music ke, video ke...

And unlike some people I know, aku bukan nak Mac sebab status symbol (walaopon BUTA IT dan hanya nak TAYANG ada Mac - merasalah ramai terasa) tapi tuk flexibility kerja.

So the question now is, do I get a Macbook? Or a Macbook Pro? Should I settle for something like 13 inches, or go all the way for a not very mobile 17 inches yang gargantuan tapi puas hati?

Aku tunggu pas Raya dapat specs penuh dari supplier dengan harga 'discount'. Tak sabar... until then, I have a week or so to make up my mind. Let me know guys.... what do you think?

Wiwi ♥ Kikin

So today was the day of the big announcement!

Finally so many things put to rest. Lega hati. Tatau camna nak pegang rahsia da sebab banyak yang dengar tu, sebenarnya tau lama da. Matilah insider news katanya.

Sampai je Palace of the Golden Horses, si Mawi lom sampai. So lepak, and jumpa kengkawan, camwhoring and so on just to pass time. After buat dosa ngumpat dan kongsi gosip, went out for a smoke kat reception area.

Botak sampai shortly. He looks happy alright. So memang today is his moment. Sempat cakap ngan dia jap je before he was whisked to the waiting room tuk get ready for the big announcement.

And then it came. Am happy for Mawi, honestly. Setuju ke tidak pilihan dia, tidak ada sesiapa yang berhak bersuara. Ramai tanya what I think since I know him personally.

My answer is - the boy deserves someone who he believes is the right one, and kalau Ekin pilihan hati dia, doakan sajalah yang terbaik. Bukan kita daam keadaan dia kan? So mintak je la yang elok.

Mawi, aku kenal hang dari Konsert Prelude. Banyak aku borak ngan ko dari dulu. Sampai penah nasihat, gaduh (takde la teruk.. manja manja je) and so on. You celebrated my birthday, siap penah belikan present tuk aku bila gi Australia. Heh... dalam popular ko pun, botak... sempat lepak kita nak berendam swimming pool tengah malam kat Mauritius beramai ramai kan.

Despite ko superstar camna pon, aku bangga ko masih mampu bukak telinga ko, dan hati ko pada nasihat aku. Yerla... ko kan raja SMS (dan kini bakal raja sehari) For me however, you will always be Asmawi.

Aku rasa ko satu satunya artis yang bawah tekanan camna pon, you are more real than a lot of the hypocrites out there yang plastik depan orang and cover memacam.
Keep being yourself, and I am more proud to say of you have been a friend.

Walaupun magic aku masih lebih hebat dari ko. Matilah aku...

So now you are going to end your bujang days, aku mintak la yang elok, and hope you made the right choice, and wish you all the best in everything.

Everyone's entitled to be happy. You too... so the whole media circus aside, aku sokong ko botak and I hope ko akan bertahan bersama sehingga ke akhir hayat!

Anyway, just in case korang tatau, here are some facts about the announcements siang tadi,

♥ Pasangan Wiwi dan Kikin (matilah aku kan panggil Wiwi dan Kikin) akan bernikah di salah sebuah masjid di Johor Bahru pada 20 Disember dengan persandingan pihak perempuan di Stadium Tertutup Johor Bahru pada sebelah malamnya dengan berkonsepkan moden kontemporari.

♥Majlis resepsi pihak lelaki pula akan diadakan pada 28 Disember di Dewan Felda Taib Andak, Kulai dengan tema Jawa.

♥ Dijangkakan kira-kira 15,000 tetamu termasuk para peminatnya akan hadir memeriahkan majlis itu memandangkan lokasi yang dipilih itu sesuai untuk kehadiran jumlah tetamu yang besar.

♥ Sehari sebelum resepsi itu, Mawi juga bakal mengadakan konsert istimewa bersama rakan-rakan Akademi Fantasia (dipercayai lebih kepada mereka yang dari musim ketiga, satu 'generasi' dari Mawi, secara percuma untuk peminatnya pada 27 Disember di Padang Felda Taib Andak, Kulai sebagai 'hadiah' untuk peminat-peminatnya yang banyak memberi sokongan terhadap karier seninya itu.

♥ Resepsi istimewa bercirikan ala-Arab di Palace of The Golden Horses juga bakal diadakan pada 11 Januari depan yang bakal dihadiri oleh tetamu-tetamu jemputan khas termasuklah rakan-rakan artis.

♥Mawi dan Ekin akan turut menghadiri kursus kahwin pada 4 November ini di Masjid Putrajaya yang mana kursus khas yang disediakan oleh pihak Astro Oasis itu akan turut dirakam dan disiarkan di saluran tersebut di dalam tiga segmen bermula pada 17 hingga 19 Disember.

♥ Saluran itu akan turut menyiarkan secara langsung majlis akad nikah pada 20 Disember bermula jam 11 pagi manakala pada 28 Disember, Astro Prima pula akan bertindak selaku penyiar rasmi majlis resepsi Mawi pada jam tujuh malam.

♥ Astro Ria pula akan menyiarkan resepsi istimewa di Palace of the Golden Horses pada pukul 7.30 malam.

Pas abih the press conference, me moved to Polo Lounge with Sarimah (ye, kak Mah Gali uols), Amir and Juan tuk discussion pasal work related stuff. Takleh cita apa apa dulu.

Oh by the way, lupa nak cita. Aku nya projek TV mengalami kelewatan sikit tapi syukur sebab aku dapat postive feedback that it's definitely, confirmed on. Cuma glitch sana sikit. Things are working out. But before that, aku dapat an offer yang buat aku tersenyum. Heh.. looks like me going to work with me passion soon. Nantikan pengumuman. Coming VERY soon.

Anyway pas babai pada Mawi and all, and hit the Polo Lounge for the meeting, it was time to perah the creative juices. Ado...

Amik ko! Vaseline!!! Yes, people. According to Sarimah, she keeps the lubricant handy because she likes to keep her lips moist! Eeew!!! Get your mind out of the gutter ok!

Kira lip balm la. Ada yang berangan kan pakai memacam brand. Kak Mah pakai yang simple jerk.

Besides tak mampu aku nak carut dia cause she had to put up with all of us smoking away like chimneys!

Yang pentingnya, siap kena distracted lagik. Can you all spot what the alien item in the ash tray is? No, it's not the watermelon piece from Amir's juice. Look closer.



Amik ko! Bulu mata pelesu katanya! Kak Mah cabut sebelah main buang je. Ceh! Tak sanitary langsung! Kang terbakar harus la bau gam bulu mata lak kang.

Once we were done with the meeting, sent Amir back for him to get on with his extremely busy life (corporate sell-out!!! matilah aku!!!) we headed to Fizi's house sebab dia wat rumah terbuka. Ala... sapa yang ikut review konsert Akademi Fantasia musim lepas mesti ingat Fizi yang penah jadi model tuk rating dan ulasan konsert kan. Forgot how he looks? Cak!!!



Amik ko pose maut! Fizi ni sebenarnya manager Khai dan Rosma. Dan open house kat rumah dia ni merangkap open house pasangan Sehati Berdansa ni gak.

Sampai umah Fizi kul 7 tepat as invited. Matilah dah la gi in the pouring rain. Sampai lom siap pon kelam kabut dia exclaiming here and there kata kami awal lak. Keji! Dok sejam tunggu ler. Dalam the next five hours lepak ramai ramai yang sampai in the heavy rain, sempat ler layan channel baru kat Astro yang Variasi tu, yang tayangkan ulangan Konsert Akademi Fantasia musim keenam. Merasalah Yana dan Ika yang terkeluar first and second week jadik mangsa carutan kami. Ampun ladies. For fun jerk!

Antara yang lain si Ayien join, skali si Misty dan kawan dia, as well as Alif and Ika and friends. Motif snappy berdua si Adi dan Ika ni? Biasalah.. cinta nak berputik kan (lari sebatu nak elak dituduh mulakan spekulasi meka bercinta.. oops!)


All in all, walaupon letih banget, had fun and time just flew by today. Tomorrow nak rejuvenate balik. In other words... sleep!

Sehati Berdansa - Tipu Kanan Tipu Kiri

Today actually felt like a regular work day for me! Not that I've had one since going freelance, for six months and two days now I think.

First destination hari ni - Mandarin Oriental nak ke press conference Sehati Berdansa 2. They announced the ten couples who will be taking part this season.




As usual too lazy to get close up shots, tapi kalao korang tertanya siapa yang akan bertanding tahun ni, here are the couples.



Representing various charities kali ni will be Mazin & Manisa, Shahril Arsat & Noraini Morat, Ashed (Def Gab C) & Shima, Sasha & Salyo, Lisdawati & Fauzi Nawawi, Jamal & Faridah, Amyza Adnan & Izhar, Shahrin & Sabrina Ali, Ani Mayuni & Zairi dan Khai & Rosma.

Of course aku kena backing tiga couples la. Namely Khai and Rosma sebab kengkawan nya pasal, also another newly wed and very cute couple Sasha and Salyo, selain Shahril Arsat and wifey Noraini sebab Shahril dulu budak pemain Selangor yang geng gak!

The event was enjoyable enough despite the horredous lack of parking spots avaiable. Entah kenapa area Mandarin Oriental parking semua full, dari outdoor ke indoor. Pas setengah jam baru dapat tempat letak keta. Tu la akibat bak keta gedabak mak bapak nya besau!

Pas done, rushed in the rain to 1 Utama for the premiere of Tipu Kiri Tipu Kanan, a new movie which is a joint project antara Malaysia dan Indonesia. Here are some pics first.

So how was the movie? Erm.. tul ke you guys want a review? Ok i can only give you three helpful tips on how I rate this movie without being sarcastic.


One - it's as good as filem Diva sebelom ni. Damn! And I said I wasn't going to be sarcastic. But well, if you've watched Diva, and love anything about it, you'll love this (how's that for being positive?)

Two - Erm... they say if you have nothing good to say, don't say anything at all kan? So erm... my hotdog, corn in a cup and ice lemon tea was good during the movie.

Three - Found THIS REVIEW online which I think gives a very accurate view of Tipu Kanan Tipu Kiri, so takyah aku repeat myself la kan.

But for those yang malas masuk sana, I quote from this Indonesian reviewer who says, "Film ini hasil kreatif Tarantella Pictures, sebuah Production House asal Negeri Jiran. Digarap dengan nuansa khas Bollywood yang dimix dengan dua budaya Negara serumpun namun berbedza bahasa: Malaysia dan Indonesia. Produksi Malaysia, pelakonnya dari Indonesia, kreatornya orang-orang India. Nah, bagaimana jadinya? Umpamanya makanan, maka terhidanglah gado-gado rasa coklat. Gimana rasanya? Enak kagak? Menurut Mpok Lena, “Wah, mana ada gado-gado dicampur coklat. Bisa-bisa Lu mencret 7 hari 7 malam, Mas,” katanya dengan nada heran.

Mersalah, cirit tujuh hari tujuh malam. Matilah kau... *guling sambil pegang perut gelak*

Sehati Berdansa

aI know there are gonna be tons of reviews on Sehati Berdansa, so aku malas nak tulis panjang lebar about the actual event, especially seeing I didn't really follow it throughout the debut season.

Having watched a few episodes, it was rather painful to watch the celebrity couples gerak cam kayu that it made me feel all the more stronger about not following it.

Still, malam tadik final aku gi gak. Not so much for the actual competition - tapi nak catch up on friends I used to be close with.

Of course, one couple I knew them separately before they got married. Tapi meka ni awal da eliminated tapi sebab meka pon. Of course aku cita pasal pasangan As dari kumpulan Feminin dulu dan Azman Adnan, bekas pemain bolasepak Selangor (ok so he played for a few other teams, DBKL the first tak silap aku, and I think the last was Negeri Sembilan).

Seronok sangat jumpa meka nih. Memula serempak backstage masa tuh sebab aku parking keta aku that area. Bumped into everyone getting ready. First person aku bump into abang Azman, tapi tak sempat chat, walaupun aku sempat say hi. Moka dia blur... tak ingat la tuh. Well, considering the last time we met was I think in 1993 or 1994, no surprise gak.

Grabbed a seat, and then since it was some time headed backstage again sebab tadik rush nak chat tak sempat bebetul tegur everyone.

Caught up with Azman again. Sebab earlier dia tak cam aku (after 13 years or so tak jumpa - no surprise la)... started refreshing his memory time kita lepak skali dulu.

Bila aku cakap aku dak SSFC, fan club tuk Selangor FC, satu satunya ahli bukan Melayu dulu la... dia cam ingat ingat sikit.

Tapi bila pakai the privy info baru dia recall.

"Ala...dulu...padang FAS, pas practise, lepak kedai Pak Man...ngan empat budak hitam and (takleh cita sini)...."

Then he was laughing and we caught up. Lama siot tak jumpa bang Azman. Besh! Dia dulu one of my fave footballers - time tuh memang takde orang leh lawan dia la. Aku ikut career dia ever since dia moved from Kuala Lumpur to Selangor punya team and memang fan gila time tu yang aku masih belajar.

Kira hampir semua game home and away aku wajib ada. Yang tak dapat pegi dulu pun Sabah dan Sarawak, and Brunei sebab cost factor (studying ma masa tuh) and also Kelantan (always dangerous sebab kena ujan batu kang)

Hah...jangan tatau. Aku ni footie freak gak dulu. My teams were Selangor and Manchester United. Smakin tua... guess my minat slowly hilang. Skang haram nak ikut bola. Kalao gi mamak orang tengok Star Sport - kecoh kecoh... aku blah terus sebab tak tahan bising.

After that session - tanak kacau dia bersiap, so made said a few more his.Bumped into Hanapfe, laki si Haiza... dia nih kelakar. For some reason, ko dengar dia gelak pun rasa nak gelak skali.

Matilah... Haiza pinjam laki ko jadik model sini jap sebab sempat snap pic dia tengah wat lawak.

And then there were the unmentioned singers yang nyanyi smalam in Farhan and Rosma. Bab samba ke salsa tuh si Farhan yang wat, while Rosma did the joget songs. Piccie time!

Didn't have much time to mingle and chat, and also didn't want to get into anyone's way - so after a brief chat with Radhi, and discovering my camera had run out of batteries (won't happen after this because I just got a rechargeable pack), scooted to the front to enjoy the show. Here are some pics - from the start... and then masa pas umum result. Malas nak komen lebih pasal keputusan, but it's not like we didn't know who was going to win, kan?

No problems with it cause could hardly care about it. Managed to get some batteries off Iqram (tima kasih) and snapped away.

Have to compliment the kids who did the tap sequence though. I think of all the performance yesterday night, termasuk lapan choreographer masa intro tuh, bebudak tuh the best lah! They were helluva a lot more professional and in synch with each other showing that they had worked hard on their routine, and came off as total pros. Can't say much for anyone else who danced throughout the remainder of the program.

Yeap, I'm trying to be nice... especially since it is for charity. So no mention of the loud, garish outfits, the cheesy techno music, or the wrong choice of performances.

Nope... none of that. Just wished other organisations got the money though. I know the Malaysian Association for the Blind, the Malaysian AIDS Council and the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Society (can't remember their exact name) needs the funding a lot more for the lack of funds flowing in. Oh well...

Made my way to the press conference and post party before the mob hit, so managed to chow down awal and get a nice shot of Putrajaya from the terrace deck where the event was held.

So time tuh ler dapat catch up. Si As mati mati nak perkenalkan aku ngan Azman. See, the last time aku hang out ngan As pun was I think in 1996, sebelom dia even jumpa Azman. After that we all just lost contact.

Aku kenai As I think sometime in 1994 masa aku kat college in Ampang, because I was... erm dating someone in that group she was in. Matilah no further info on that.

"Tak kisahlah... aku nak kenalkan gak," si As tergelak gelak.

Matila... dari time aku kenai dua orang ni, kicik jer... half my size. Merasalah celah meka skang ala happy family lak semua bolat. Well, all of us grow up... or sideways... sooner or later.

To my former sis... (sebab lama tak lepak former la) Asfarina, all the best, gurl, in everything. And to abang Man... jangan tambah bulat agik wei...


Moving on... korang perasan tak ada someone kat Sehati Berdansa punya finale tuh. Kak Ogy la... pengkritik jemputan. Tertanya tak pasal kehadiran kak Ogy? Hah...tengok... sampai kedudukan kat PC pun... special sikit.



So what exactly was she doing there? Nih some pre-season Akademi Fantasia musim keenam gossip.

Sebenarnya aku sebelum ni da dengar banyak spekulasi pasal kak Ogy punya potential involvement in the upcoming season.

Ada yang kata permanent pengkritik lagi... then ada sumber kata dia la bakal host pengganti Aznil dan bukan Sarimah atau Zainal Alam Kadir, and tak kurang juga yang membisik dia nih bakal PENGETUA untuk Akademi Fantasia akan datang.

Any truth in it?

Potentially... maybe.

Sebab there must be a reason for her high profile appearance and association kan? Do you see Linda Jasmine or EE there in the press conference up front? No? So who is Ogy going to be.. I mean in what position? Dengan promosi camni mesti ada sesuatuh kan?


"Tahniah ek kak Ogy kerana benda tuh bulan tiga nanti tuk program Astro tuh" aku usik.

"Eh... mana ada!!!!!!" gelak kak Ogy before running off, shouting an additional remark of "Mulut jahat!!!!" and then more laughter. Oops...pecah lobang ke? Oh, I guess I wasn't supposed to suspect. Merasalah.

Well, knowing production Akademi Fantasia slalu last minute, I wouldn't expect anything to be signed on YET, tapi I sense some potential in her name being one of the favourites.
