I tried something different today. Twittered all the way from the press conference for the Black Eyed Peas, to the Arthur's Day concert which featured the group.

If you guys, had me on Twitter, you would have noticed the updates. Cuma satu masaalah je. Masa tengah live report, stinking Maxis for some reason lost its service during the concert, and was down. Everything was only ok when I was on the way home. Or maybe it wasn't Maxis but the signal in the area.

As you can see, I wasn't amused by how the local folks handled it.

OVER ONE AND A HALF HOURS LATE!

I suppose I can't blame Guiness. After all they nominated Grey to handle the PR part of things and Galaxy as the the organisers/promoters. Somewhere in the mix was DiGi. So it was all utter chaos! Hated every moment of it. Someone better call all these parties together and bump their heads together so they can find the person/s responsible.

Honestly, the best organisers are when I go to concerts in Thailand. They make the working media's work so much easier. After all, the want positive publicity. Singaporean organisers may give the vibe they don't care much for you, but they still are very hospitable.

Malaysian organisers/promoters/event managers like this are HOPELESS. Not the first time too. Galaxy's string of concerts organised selalu ada masaalah. Tu yang ramai member media pon tak kuasa.

Oh well. Whatever.

Will post pics from the press conference (which didn't have any semblance of one) and the concert as well as a mini review. Meanwhile.

The truth is...

I'm hitting my head repeatedly trying to bash something out that's witty and funny and interesting so you guys can have a fun read.

But the truth is, right now... I'm channeling my creative energy into making an audition video for something. Will fil you guys in on that.

Apart from that a meeting just ended, after a hard day's work at the office, so I'm kind of drained.

One major project in the making (which means weeks of sourcing out contacts and endless meetings to follow, not to mention rewritten proposals and more paperwork to justify it all to non-creative folk).

Esok lak janji nak bawak kawan kakak aku ke Nilai 3 for her to scout some household stuff before a session in the evening to tape the video.

Busy preparing a little script now, so... nanti je la aku posting entry panjang sikit.

Biasalah. Time Raya lagi ni, everyone's still rocking away festively and no one has the mood for anything else.

By the way, before any of you ask, no, I am not sure on attending the Black Eyed Peas concert on Friday. Though I'm sure it will be awesome, I also have a wedding do for my cousin on both Friday and Saturday, which I look forward to - as much as having my toe nails pulled out.

An idea

Baru balik dari opis. Tired as all hell. Finishing some work, and yes, putting an idea to paper.

Remember when I blogged about an idea I have just a couple of months ago?



Well, that idea became J Squared's first major project since it started about three months ago. With over 14,000 views in a month, and still growing, and it being the talk of people in advertising - I have now moved on from the standard flash mob idea.

I may do more flash mobs as promised - but dengar sekarang ramai merancang nak wat after they saw ours, so I wanna cool it for now.

Now I have one major idea I got just a few weeks to go. I have talked to several people, and this idea seems to be the biggest and the most ambitious I have had so far.

And strangely enough, PEOPLE LIKE IT. More than the flash mob idea in fact.

And this is bigger in terms of logistics to organise, and cost.

So hari ni spent a portion of my time putting the idea down to paper. It will take quite a bit of technical assistance to get this one going, not to mention financial.

But so far it's looking good.

Happy. Nak tidur dengan nyenyak malam ni. It's always like this when I put my ideas to paper. A sense of accomplishment sangat.


PS - Word on my TV show is that again, it has run into complications. Dah pindah stesen pon problem. Sabar je lah. Camni lah since I wasn't born to someone with pangkat. Ish ish ish...

Still missing you

Didn't know whether I should post this or not. I did go somewhere earlier yesterday. Memandangankan Raya kedua, I had already delayed something I wanted to do pagi hari pertama itself.

So finally, ajak Muzaffar, and we met in Subang to visit the grave of a dear friend who passed almost two months ago.

Sedih sangat... and I couldn't even find her favourite tuber roses too. Smiled when saw a jar full of them, which I think must have been brought by her family.

Said a prayer, and just as finished, it started to rain. Which was a good sign, I suppose.



Wherever you are kak Min, we're missing you dearly.

Sakitnya

Walaopon aku tak visiting memana ke melahap juadah Raya, entah kenapa perot aku meragam je.

Spent the whole of semalam dan hari ni basically mengadap laptop, TV... and ngan famili cause sis balik dua hari berturut-turut. So it wasn't all that bad. Hati nak je mengular... but takpe la... nanti jerk. Baru dua hari...

Anyway, firstly, did you guys catch Raya Rumah Terbuka AF7 - Kampung Kilang Berapi?

Kalao tak, hari kelima Raya akan ada repeat. Dapat mesej dari Dian bagitau. Plus, on top of that, heard yang hari ni punya edited to cut short sebab nak fit Era punya program.

Yang kang hari kelima panang sket.

Sapa tak sempat tengok, ni trailer for Kampung Kilang Berapi. By the way my laptop stars in it (aku cameo jerk). And Aril... ko memangggg sialllll (sapa tengok tau lah ngapa... heh!)

Kalao dulu kan, terkejut aku ada kedai bukak time Raya pertama. Ni lak, bukan saja buka... siap penoh. Pening.

But beli barang keperluan sikit... and found a new 'toy'. Amik ko USB powered fan. Sebab cooling pad aku da uzur, kipas ni (kuat gila walaopon pakai USB power je), it comes in handy (not to mention kipaskan aku skali).

I wanna wish Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all my blog readers, my friends, my extended family... serta ucapan Maaf Zahir Batin. Yerlah... standard la... kalao da mulot cam lahanat, time ni la nak apologise. Heh...

Anyway, pada sapa yang... well... at odds with me of late, aku mintak maap dari ujung of my peroxided hair to the ends of my manicured toes.

PPPS - Nearly forgot!!! Beyonce Knowles is FINALLY coming to Malaysia for the first time as part of her I Am... World Tour on Oct 25 at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil here. The world tour is her third worldwide concert in support of her third studio album, I Am... Sasha Fierce and is stopping here after the North America and Europe legs.
Tickets for the event here are priced at RM583 (S$237), RM383, RM283, RM183 (numbered seat) and RM93 (free seating) and will be on sale from Sept 22 to Oct 2. Time to quit

Yes, perhaps it's time to quit.

Bukan pasal blogging la. Perlu ke? I started this blog for myself, no one else. Dari takde orang baca pon, sehingga satu hari nanti takde orang nak baca blog aku ni pon, aku sanggup nak blog still. It's my indulgence.

Anyway, yang aku kata nak quit ni pasal ni. Semalam... well... way past tengah malam so kira early morning tadi, gi Uptown kat Shah Alam ngan beberapa orang kawan. Check out what I got from a friend yang berniaga there.



What is this contraption, you ask? Senang je... it's called the Health E-Cigarettes.

The bottom part of the ciggy leh cucuk USB to charge. What you do is when it's fully charged, you stuff the fuse thingie into the filter (it comes with 10 filters which hold a liquid compund) which is diffused the moment you inhale, and the fuse heats up.

It simulates smoking.

If you think that's uncool, think again. The end of the ciggy has an LED which lights up exactly like a real cigarette with a glow - and dims out as you release.



And the bestest thing? Siap ada asap bila ko hembus! I like!

I don't know if it works but hari pertama ni aku pakai pon I prefer it over a real cigarette.

The advantages : no smell (actually it smells good cam shisha) , no ash, no fire hazard, no cancer... and it's cheaper too. One pack - RM70, which is equivalent of about eight packs of 20s. Since I smoke a pack a day, and this will last me sightly longer - I think this is a good alternative.

Pasni kalao beli refill lagik murah. I like!

Yang pentingnya, I can even smoke indoors now, because it's not ike real smoking anyway. Yeay! Now I can finally smoke in the office, in malls... freedom!!!!

One of my friends bought something interesting, but erm... not as hot.




Kind of tacky. But I think it's cute in a way. Amik ko...

Kesian though bebudak kalao dapat yang paket cover RM50 tapi isinya RM1.

Amik ko... kelakar. Actually I would love to see a kid get the package that the contents doesn't have a value even close to what it looks like outside.

Lama tak jumpa bebudak ni. Tadi ada event buka puasa. Actual thing was to announce Hafiz, Aril dan Akim now under joint management Astro Entertainment Sdn Bhd dan Enfiniti Prodction.

Sempat la lepak borak ngan bebudak ni. Especially Aril dan Akim yang baru balik dari Jakarta.

Last buka puasa event, before Raya comes. Kind of sad, sebab nanti semua out of town. Layan la pics ni... mals update pepanjang.

Kengkawan da mula balik. Pagi tadi hantar Syuib dan Bob balik kampung. Argh... sedihnya... dalam sehari dua semua da balik, bosannya KL!

Best nya sebab takde jam. Leh jalan ke mana saja without any problem.

Masaalahnya, tatau nak ke mana kang.

Meanwhile... still sorting out some stuff before the long holidays.

One thing good though is that at least ada perancangan in works, for a trip to Japan bulan dua kang. Tak sabar nya. Mintak mintak everything works out dan jadi.

Decisions...

First pada yang minat Sehati Berdansa. Semalam buka puasa kat Bijan kat Jalan Ceylon (malas amik pic). Ada acara mengumumkan sapa bakal mengacarakan Sehati Berdansa musim ketiga.

You know the hype and all that of the show and sapa akan gantikan Linda Onn kan? No surprise, seperti dijangka, Scha Alyahya akan step in and fill Linda's shoes untuk host the program along with Fahrin Ahmad dan Awal Ashaari.



So skang tunggu je meka umum sapa pasangan-pasangan yang akan ambil bahagian.

Anyway, pas berbuka tadi rush balik nak siapkan ada keja tertangguh sikit. Need a clear mind. Stressed sebab ada client belum settle payment walaopon Raya da dekat. Feel bad cause I so want to pay some of my subs awal as a Raya bonus. Nak wat camna.. ni la kalau deal ngan corporate bodies. Sabau jer la...

About 3 pagik tadi gi lepak rumah Ed, dak junior aku masa skolah yang aku jumpa balik (haven't met for years until serempak shooting Jalan Lama hari tu). Biasalah... nak berguru ngan dia pasal special effect. For those of you yang tengok my Halloween outfit last year aku wat DIY nya effect, that's pretty close to professional treatment da... cuma nak betulkan teknik sikit. Tak sabar Halloween ni aku da ada idea aku nak wat pe da.

Yang pentingnya, si Ed ni gi London nak study all this, so not only aku dapat curi sikit ilmu dia... yang pentingnya... dia ada complete box set Little Britain!!! If you guys haven't watched this, you should.



Hilarious! Sebenarnya aku da ada pun DVD rips of the UK punya three seasons, the Christmas special in Little Britain abroad and the special Comic Relief episode - so kira aku nya koleksi da complete.

But tamakkan DVD commentary and extra bits sebab aku nya ada yang missing some of that, PLUS Ed had the Comic Relif LIVE show. Aiyo! Lengkap! (balasannya aku pass kat dia my one season of US series Little Britain and the special Comic Relief episode)

Owh by the way.. lari topik sikit. What do you guys think... aku selama ni blogging dari laptop yang aku beli beberapa tahun lepas. My trusty HP Compaq Armada. Which I have to say is still working without much problems.

But aku dapat lobang tuk dapat a new 'toy' which is also for me an investment. What do you think? Should I?



Now... aku ni bukan peminat Mac, but I have to admit Mac ni lebih superior la performance dia dari PC. Especially kalao nak edit benda alah yang memberatkan seperti gambar ke, music ke, video ke...

And unlike some people I know, aku bukan nak Mac sebab status symbol (walaopon BUTA IT dan hanya nak TAYANG ada Mac - merasalah ramai terasa) tapi tuk flexibility kerja.

So the question now is, do I get a Macbook? Or a Macbook Pro? Should I settle for something like 13 inches, or go all the way for a not very mobile 17 inches yang gargantuan tapi puas hati?

Aku tunggu pas Raya dapat specs penuh dari supplier dengan harga 'discount'. Tak sabar... until then, I have a week or so to make up my mind. Let me know guys.... what do you think?

Petang semalam berbuka kat MidValley lak. Sebab da nekad nak tengok Final Destination in 3D.

So berbuka la berasak-asak kat KFC sebab ada kengkawan yang kempunan nak pekena. Layan... tapi tension sikit tengok lautan manusia yang membanjiri the place.

Memacam... kalao korang follow me on Twitter - sempat la baca carutan 'live' aku. Merasalah.

I have to say one thing about MidValley though... their perhiasan Raya aku suka gila!!!

Anyway, got to see Final Destination FINALLY!



Plan da lama tapi tak kesempatan, plus tanak gi awal awal sebab nanti takleh enjoy. Thank you clautrophobia!

But seb baik I caught it in 3D. I remember, kalao tak silap aku the first and only time aku penah tengok 3D ni Jaws 3D tak silap aku, entah first time in Malaysia rasanya. I was damn young then, so tak ingat pe pe. Something like that... how would I know... da la lama gila da... da tua gila skang. Heh...

But it was AWESOME! Even iklan pun jadi besh! Sial je kan?

But seriously, not only do I love horror and gore flicks, watching something like Final Destination in 3D is a freaking dream come true. Siap elak elak bila benda melayang ke arah aku. Kalao korang da tengok, the last scene kan ada bara api ke haper tuh terbang nak kena minyak tu kan, aku siap tiup tiup lagi nak blow it away sebab rasa depan muka je. Jakun!

Aduh... sampai excited hari ni teringat. Rasa nak tengok second time.

Yummy

Aw man. This weekend is where I get some ME time, so sorry for the delay in updating.

Semalam gi buka puasa kat Pavilion, hosted by kengkawan corporate communication from Media Prima TV. Thanks guys, so much for your hospitality.

Yang pentingnya, walaupun merata aku buka puasa, this was one of the coolest place in terms on locale. It's on the sixth floor of Pavilion, tapi yang aku paling suka, the outdoor area which has like a 180 degrees view of the surrounding area.

And it's like right next to the main entrance, so you can just watch the world go by. Excellent!! Nama tempat tu Al-Amar tak silap aku kalao korang nak check it out.

The food there was great too - tapi kalao tak suka makanan Arab ni takyah la gih... nyesal kang. Yang penting aku suka.
