Soundrenaline. WOW! The best music festival I've ever been too.

Nidji, J Rocks, Gigi, D Massiv, Ungu, Ari Lasso, Slank, The Rock, Maliq & D essential, Andra & The Backbone, Mulan Jameela (ni je yang buang masa sebenarnya) and so many more local Indonesian bands yang memang hebat.

Letih gila malam ni.

Esok da nak pulang ke Kuala Lumpur.

Wanna enjoy the rest of my time in Bali. Update when back in KL. I took nearly 200 over photos. Camna la nak share semua.

Tapi memang had fun. My experience in Bali has been crazy, not only because it's Bali - but because of Soundrenaline. Venue dia pon da cukup gila. Never been to a festival like this before.

Am in Bali now. Staying at the Kuta beach area. Banyak sangat hari ni nak wat.

Biasalah kalao mai sini pun tuk beberapa hari je. Tak cukup rasanya nak explore and enjoy Bali.

Tujuan hari ke sini pon tuk Soundrenaline. So many bands performing for the festival. Tak sabar. Too little time with too many things.

But am pumped. May not have time to update so fast, even though mampu online.

Selamat tinggal tidur. Heh... masa tuk bersengkang mata jerk.

Konsert Akademi Fantasia TERBAIK!

Korang tengok tak Muzik Muzik semalam?

Ada tak sama ngan aku rasa cam ni la konsert Akademi Fantasia yang terbaik sebenarnya? Matilah!

Mana taknya... cam bebudak Akademi Fantasia je yang conquer.

Tapi yang penting, celah celah tuh, ada bakat in house lak yang layak. Cam minggu lepas gak. Nak salahkan sapa? Juri semua profesional. Kisahnya...

Entahlah... aku malam ni sebenarnya favourite song to make it is Khatimah Cinta dari 6ixth Sense. I fell in love with the song since the first time I heard it, sebab keunikan lagu tuh to be a fresh take on Malay rock.

Tapi nak wat camna. Tak dok top five. Harapkan score meka cukup tinggi nak layak je la.

Apapon, congratulations to semua komposer dan lyricist of those who were in the top 5 as they now stand a better chance of making it.

This is what happens when only five people determine what songs so into the final. Entah ke mana sistem penjurian Muzik Muzik kali ni. Dulu at least ada gak rotate.

Anyway... to the performers in Estranged, Nubhan, Stacy dan Akim, congratulations on the great show - and you guys deserve in.

Apart from those kids, I think Aizat did well pon walaopon tanpa guitar, he seems a bit lost. But he still did good nonetheless. Takpe... my fave song is Kau Aku, so at least that seems to have a stronger chance of making it.

Dalang sebalik usaha nak sabotaj Youtube aku lom diketahui. But aku da file counter notice, and thankfully, Youtube is being very helpful. I have also filed for copyright claims on our KLCC flash mob video and I have filed complaints against the three accounts who duplicated our video.

HELP! URGENT! SOS!

I am so mad!

My Youtube account which is God knows how many years old has been SUSPENDED for no reason, with NO prior warning of anything.

To add insult to injury, the video for our KLCC flash mob - which has gotten OVER 27,000 views, was stolen by a loser, who re-uploaded it, without even bothering to change the tags or extension (obviously downloaded it from my original, and reuploaded it) to pass it off as his own!

Fuck the world!

What the hell is Youtube coming to???!!! I have contacted Youtube, but judging from the previous experiences of many, the Youtube system is open to abuse where even malicious parties can flag, or claim copyright without proof, getting YOU suspended or banned for no reason, while THEY use your content.

And hope to have my channel restored seems bleak...

I also have no doubts, that the Maxis iPhone 3GS KLCC Flash Mob video of the first ever major dance flashmob we did, was flagged by some dumbass jealous competitors of Maxis who backed us.

This rationale is simply due to the fact that I know the flashmob we did has been the talk of the town, from corporate bodies to advertising agencies the last few months.

And many are trying to copy it. Another will take place at the end of the month, backed by Maxis's competitor. No names need be mentioned, but I think it's pathetic that people who take initiative to break something new, have to put up with such losers who do this. I am upset... and I think this is the lowest form of competition possible.

No I do NOT shuffle

Erm.. I think I would be quite honored... if I didn't feel so... insulted!

Tadik lepak ngan kengkawan kat Hartamas Square. Sekali sekala nak catch up on goss and borak pasal kerja and all.

Masa member order shisha, ada mamat nih yang hantarka, tegur aku.

"Bila nak shuffle lagik?"

Erm... it took a while to register, sebab dia asik teruskan insist penah tengok aku shuffle. Matilah! Sejak bila lak aku suka, ataupun reti nak shuffle?

Siap insist dia tengok aku ajar bebudak shuffling lagik.

Pening punya pening... rupa rupanya, dia ni sebenarnya confuse.

Sebab dia nih work out kat gym sebelah tempat training flash mob kita. So dia nampak ler aku time skali tengah tegur bebudak pasal choreography while following it.

Sebab kita menari, suka ati je dia kata shuffling. Wat pening je...

Masa tu lak, si Aril baru gerak. Kebetulan dia lepak ngan kengkawan sana and dia lepak jap ngan kita. Mamat confuse yang kata aku ajar shuffling ni tegur aku pas tengok Aril.

Erm... badi!

Matilah... never ever laaaaa aku nak minat shuffle ke nak shuffle skali, apa lagik nak ajar. Heh!

Ok la... I need to finish some work and get some rest. Esok kena gi launch of Biggest loser Asia. Lama da tak jumpa Sarimah sebab dia sibuk shooting bagai. Pastu belah petang ada event launching lain.

Dilema sikit skang sebab dapat offer nak ke Bali over the weekend for Sound Adrenaline. Ramai band besar Indonesian main sana. Aku malas sebenarnya sebab my sis ke Washington from Saturday for a week. Tapi aku pun tak penah gi Bali... so kena tengok camna.

Making my last minute decision tomorrow... so will see how.

Akademi Fantasia 8

This is my first post officially, mentioning that I have received some updates regarding Akademi Fantasia.

Yela... kan awal awal aku da kata, ada musim kelapan. Korang tak caya.

Well, I'm not involved this year, not like I was last year, so takde non-disclosure policy tahun ni yang mengelakkan aku dari cerita penoh apa aku tau. Heh.

What I can say for know is that while there were rumors that it would start earlier for the eighth season, looks like things are on schedule as usual for the program to feature as ritually, every year, about more or less the same time. Expect auditions to be announced, and kicked off, within the next month or so (tak usha exact dates lagik) before it kicks off.

Good luck to my friends in production, and hope you guys kick ass this year. Apapon, let's hope firstly they get some real talent this time.

Apapon, sebelom mula pencarian bakat tuh, pengurusan bakat tuh betolkan sikit yer.

Kesian bebudak... masuk Akademi Fantasia dengan seribu harapan, tapi nan hado, only a few survive. Oh well... who says things come easy kan.

Ok... da cukup aku meroyan. Got some work to finish up. The next few days banyak benda going on. Esok nya program tak tentu lagik... but damn I got lots of stuff on my plate.

Didn't do much today. In fact, didn't do much the last two days sebab memang badan da la tak sihat.... pastu malam smalam gi main snooker, feeling pose bagai kat meja tuh, nak tayang skill hado katanya, pulled something, and back hurts. Heh...

Muzik-Muzik Separuh Akhir

Wanted to upload this earlier, but tak larat sebenarnya. So here it is. Semalam gi separuh akhir pertama Muzik-Muzik di Sri Pentas 2, Plaza Alam Sentral di Shah Alam.

Tahun ni sebab takde kategori, it's supposed to be harder competition, tapi sebenarnya tuk aku, pecahan separuh akhir lak kali ni, at least for the first semifinal ni, tak begitu sengit. Leh tangkap da sapa akan mampu layak.

Disebabkan judging kali ni berdasarkan 30% markah dari persembahan secara langsung dan baki 70% daripada pemarkahan yang dilakukan sebelum, atas penilaian lagu from every aspect termasuk composition and lyrics, I already had my choices.

And after tiap persembahan, it was proven that my predictions menjadi la gak.

I wanted Mirage by Pesawat in, and I thought they deserved to be in. Entah haper yang juri pikirkan as this was one of the fresher sounds in the semifinal this time. On top of that, Pesawat has an appeal to them ramai tak berpeluang nak hear lagik. But knowing some other songs would get be focused on, based on whatever merits memang peluang meka kureng la sikit.

So walaopon semalam diumumkan, Raja Gelek, Kau Aku, Dan Sebenarnya, Tak Mungkin Kerna Sayang and Aku Skandal... ni cuma lagu lagu yang lima teratas berdasarkan pemarkahan as of yesterday. Seperti mana lima teratas ni tak janji masuk Anugerah Juara Lagu, gitu gak peluang bagi lagu lagu lain masih terbuka.

I already had a feeling that Mirage wouldn't make it. In the top five that is...

In fact aku da agak da kelima lagu teratas berdasarkan beberapa faktor.

Contoh, Aku Skandal dan Dan Sebenarnya. Undoubtedly the favorites of the night and rightly so memang layak, so takyah la nak cakap lagu-lagu ni membawa halatuju bawa dalam pop rock muzik tempatan. Tu kita semua pon da tau. Kau Aku pon was a confirmed choice for me to be in the top, sebab memang Aizat's maturity is songwriting is because he has not stuck to several conventions of market demands, unlike the jaded ones in the business who think sounding fresh - is something eccentric, pulling too much from other influences that simply don't gel, not works.

With three from these batch of youngsters, Pesawat had an uphill battle. Biasala. Judging bukan je wat dari kriteria-kriteria yang dikatakan. At the back of the minds of the producers, they have to think production wise gak. Kena la variety... konon la...

Tak Mungkin Kerna Sayang sebenarnya for me, aku letak dalam kategori sama dengan Bertemu Di Kalbu. Lagu yang bosan dan sebenarnya skema, kalao release 10 tahun lepas pon sama jerk. Nothing new... and boring as hell.

Tapi dua lagu ni, diberikan nafas kerana persemabahan penyanyi yang membawa kedua lagu ni, which is Alyah and Jaclyn Victor. Good for Alyah dapat lagu solo tuk peluang nak masuk bertanding Anugerah Juara Lagu. I think she deserves it walaopon aku rasa lagu tuh very the nan hado. As for Jac, semalam persemabahan dia menampakkan kematangan, a maturity which I've never seen before. There was an emotional connection to the song, without her resorting to merely just blowing everyone away with her powerful vocals. Hopefully... she gets it too.

And Raja Gelek? I think seriously this one memang buang masa. Stuck in the 90s, and predictable attempt to mash-up the sounds to make it sound localised and all. Maybe some like it, but I don't. Still, dah agak memang akan dapat top 5 pon.. so no surprise.

I kind of like the fact that One Nation Emcees appear more polished now than before, but still there's an amateurish air to their performance. Props to them though for trying... effort should always be applauded.

Unlike Mila malam semalam. Hancus... and nothing redeeming about her performance whatsoever. Still, both these names just didn't look like they deserved to be there as they would appear more at home kat Hari Penyampaian Hadiah skoleh menengah mana ntah.

Can't wait for next week, because I think there's going to be some serious competition then, plus on top of that, nak gak tengok carta, how lagu-lagu minggu ni stack up again next week's scoring.

I hope ada la surprise element sikit in the judging (for the better) cause being predictable takes the fun out of competition.

Masa semua orang tengah celebrate (nak raikan apa...masuk top five atau tidak tak menjanjikan agik masuk Anugerah Juara Lagu ma), aku gi borak ngan Jac kejap. So impressed with her performance. Not because of her usual power, but there was something a little extra malam tu.



Then it was back to the top five photo op session.





Because this is a song competition, of course lain la criteria, tapi kalao ikutkan performance wise, my ideal performers to have made it through (if kalao bukan top 5 je la) would have been Aku Skandal (Hujan), Dan Sebenarnya (Yuna), Kau Aku (Aizat) and Mirage (Pesawat). And either Alyah or Jac for those diva power vocals.

Tapi result lom tentu agik. Lagikpon, every year Anugerah Juara Lagu tiap tahun pun mesti ada yang very the mistake layak tuk bertanding. Heh! Korang ingat tak ada Aiman yang costume bagai? Aiyo... sesuatuh!

Anyway, spent some time talking to Yuna and Aizat, as well as hey hey ngan bebudak Pesawat.

My No Compromise Experience

I stumbled upon this game.

Ok, apart from many obsession, you guys know I spend a lot of time devoted to online games. But then most games don't come with an interesting payback.

How does RM10,000 sound?

So I got cracking on it.

First, start off by logging on by CLICKING HERE.



Begin your career as a humble potato peeler in the eight tasks, and that's it.

To help you out on your little journey, Check out the other sections, especially the #1 Virtual Tour to find out more about how Mister Potato runs his organization. Trust me, this WILL help you out. After registering for the game, get a move on playing it. It's really simple.



Level 1 begins with you having to pick potatoes in the aptly titled Potato Pick & Pocket... what else. Just sort the good and bad potatoes for making that perfect Mister Potato chips.



It's pretty simply. It was challenging for me the first time, cause I was playing on my Mac, and using the touchpad. Horror! Then I used a mouse. Still no good. Got the hang of things in a while, but seriously, it's definitely much easier played on a PC.

Once you get past that, it's time for Level 2.



Level 2 will have a random question. See? I told you going on that virtual tour to find out more about how Mister Potato runs his outfit would help.

No problem, and it's time to have the La Cucaracha, a traditional Spanish folk corrido, sung to the words of, "Mister Potato... Mister Potato." In fact, the three sombrero topped, moustached characters sing it everytime you move on to the next level.



Someone applaud them already.

Now Level 3.



It's time for the Potato Chop.

This one's a piece of cake.. I mean potato.

All you have to do is slice three potatoes in 20 seconds and you're on your way to winning that prize.



Level 4 is back to a little trivia.

I like Level 7 best. Not because I find it challenging or anything, but I get to wreck vengeance on Ortega, Mister Potato's assistant. Once you begin playing the game, you'll realiza the creepy character just gets on your nerves.



While he laughs and is basically quite a pain if you fail a level, this round, you get to laugh at him to move on to the final round.

This is my absolutely my favorite part of the game, because honestly, I get to wipe off that smirk on his face.

And then - it's the last hurdle.



You have to enter a pic of yourself as Mister Potato which will then be up for public voting from Nov 29 to Dec 5.

It's all pretty easy. And all you have to know is some simple Mister Potato trivia.

Just remember that favorite flavors are Original and Hot & Spicy and the pack size for Potato Crisps is 160g. Mister Potato is made from 100% quality imported potatoes from the best, and healthiest Atlantic, Dakota Pearl and Hermes Potatoes.

You're talking about some tight requirements for potatoes to make it in a Mister Potato pack, such as low sugar and high dry content, apart from the tell-take color, taste, size and texture.

Selected potatoes are soaked in clean water to get rid of dirt and soil around it. The finely sliced potatoes are washed in cold water to remove starch from its surface to prevent potato chips from sticking to each other when fried before chips are cooked to perfection vegetable oil at 185°C.

Zombieland!

So you guys know my (very unhealthy) obsession with zombies right? Besides I know a lot of zombies (emotionally, not physically)

Dah dua Halloween berturut-turut aku dress up as a zombie, first versi Kurt Cobain, then versi rempit kena langgar mati.

Anyway, coming soon is a movie - called... Zombieland! The movie debuted at number one in America, and is the highest grossing zombie movie in history! Definitely a reason to catch it.

So what does that have to do with anything?

Well, sebab aku jarang wat giveaways kat sini, I am going to give TWO free tickets to the screening of Zombieland. You'll be among the first in the country to watch it (trust me, it's crazy fun because it's horror AND comedy).

What do you have to do?

Up and at 'em!

Lega siot dapat tido puas puas last night. Sebab aku da drained, smalam sampai umah memang takleh bukak mata.

Fell asleep. Woke up on and off groggy, but managed to doze back off again within seconds eah time as if my body was saying it wasn't time to get up.

On the bed, on the floor... bertukar je posisi. Oh well... janji my sleep was uninterrupted. Dulu pon aku sleepwalking, so tukar tempat tido tengah slumber ni biasa da.

Got up je, settled some stuff online. Including.. playing Restaurant City. Heh... addicted! Check out my new look for my restaurant. Sapa yang main game ni mesti makan hati tengok restoran aku.

Ni as of pagik tadi. Tengok kat dalam, mesti jeles ngan my special AV room. For those who play the game, the stacking glitch was rectified by Playfish some time ago. But a few days ago, a new one was discovered. While I didn't take advantage of it then, kali ni tanak lepas. Gigih ni nak lengkapkan twelve TV screen to make up my video wall and my stack of eight speakers, four each side.

I hate Mondays

No one has responded to all my emails. Arghhhh!! Benci nya when people require urgent attention to this and that, and they don't even bother fucking replying.

Seriously...

Oh well... apapon, hari ni memang bogged down with work gila babiks.

So much to sift through, and catching up with some personal work too. I hate when people impose unnecessary deadlines because of their stupidity in handing out tasks. So unprofessional... thank goodness that's not in the office, kalao tak aku da jerit.

So got in at noon, and left only about past 10pm. Macam betol je rajin... heh! Aduh... ngantuk... time to call it a night.

Spent a lazy Sunday at home.

Belah malam, dapat berkumpul dengan teman-teman dari zaman sekolah rendah. Memang happy gila!

Walaopon tak ramai dari batch SRK Taman Goodwood/SRK Taman Klang Jaya 1983-1988 yang hadir, tapi still meriah.

Actually there was only five of us, sementara empat lima orang lagik memang MIA terus.

There was me, Helmy, Sam, Jo and Dharshini.

Still... besh besh. Catch up on gossip terbaru, dan some older gossip back dating 20 years that some of us weren't aware happening in school.

Aiyo, ramai nya teman-teman lama aku ni da meletop anak dua tiga ni.

Congratulations to Siti Hazniza and Azlina Aziz for their new additions to the family.

Sayang sebenarnya tak ramai dapat datang, tapi sebab last minute, and plus semua orang bersepah all over, memang bukan senang nak regroup. Kalao all over Klang Valle je takpe, tapi at the same time, ramai yang luar negara, especially Australia, UAE and such. Paling close pon Singapore.

Nevermind, we are keeping our weekly lepak session (or a least bi-monthly) before a major gathering in early 2010 where hopefully everyone will be able to come back to meet up.

To the guys who showed up - thanks again for making my day. Had so much fun.

Apapon, we ARE 1Malaysia before it someone even bothered to coin the phrase. The more we talked more about our past, the more realized that's what people are trying to achieve today.
