You Can't Stop The Beat

Semalam, out of boredom, decided to pop to MidValley nak grab a drink as well as surf, but in a more public environment, so popped in Starbucks. Joined by Mozac, kawan Boo Boo.

Didn't really know what to do, so decided to go and watch Hairspray one more time. My second, and definitely not the last.

After we bought ticket, gi jenjalan dulu. Popped in the music shop there and found this really cool machine.

The whole set up, consisting of a computer and Lord knows what else, allows you to compile the songs in the store's database, which are apparently licensed.

At Rm2.95 a song, it's quite decent to burn an album of ten songs, for cheaper than what some albums are going for.

If it's legal, I recommend this as a good option rather than downloading illegally and burning your own. But hey, who am I to preach. All I can say, at least get local music legally to help our industry. Bab kalao muzik omputeh, aku no komen lah.

Pikir kampung sendiri dulu la kan?

Anyway, watched the movie, had fun sebab memang it's definitely one of my favourite movies of the year, and then decided to go for supper.

Had no idea where to go to with the rain and all, so, being still early just past 9pm.

So took a detour to Brickfields to head for this Chinese Muslim restaurant where the food is absolutely fabulous!

Jam lak sepanjang jalan kat sana. Ingat orang shopping Deepavali, but turns out they were having some sort of religious related parade or something.

Well, I won't say parade, because there was only one float-esque thing that was holding up traffic.

Finally got past it and got to the restaurant. Kalau korang nak Chinese food yang halal, aku recommend, ia berdepan saja dengan Balai Polis Brickfields. It's this old medan selera called The Pines and the name of the restaurant, (paling ujung sekali) is Restoran Merdeka, kalau tak silap aku. If you want Chinese fare yang halal, honestly so far that's the only place that gets as close to the real thing in terms of flavour. Try it.. besh!

So pastuh ordered several dishes and melantak lah... apa lagi.

You want me to recommend dished, tak pandai la, but this is what we ordered below.

Let's see, there was kangkung masak belacan (not so pure Chinese fare), sweet sour chicken (love it!), steamed fish (bawal putih) and tofu with crabmeat or something. Yummy! Too much actually for two people... so didn't finish everything though can't say we didn't try.

Habis je, since it was still raining, headed home to get some sleep. Esok takde apa sangat so lega lah. Arghh...pening menyerang lagi. Time to hit the sack!

Rednecks!

Finally, I've got time to come about to finish my review of episode five of America's Next Top Model cycle nine episode five. Hari ni pas semalam clubbing abih, I really felt too lazy to go out, which means I'm in front of my laptop the whole day.

Of course layan gak some movies I didn't get around to watching yet, like Ratatouille apart from jazzing up my myspace page. Kalau korang lum add aku, my myspace is HERE.

Sebenarnya lagi satu sebab because since my splitting headache on Thursday, it's been recurring daily. Oh well, what to do. Popped a couple more Panadols and hoped it holds out je lah.

On with the show review.

Ok, honestly. Someone tell me they didn't suspect it would be Janet to be eliminated with all the focus on her the last episode of America's Next Top Model.

It's almost getting obvious.

Anyway, this episode, I'm just getting tired of Jenah. I mean she takes good pics, but she looks like a freaking redneck, acts like one and talks like one.

I love Heather more and more because in her analytical overview of everyone's weaknesses, she was almost spot on, even about herself. Sarah too. Both of them are such messes in real life, that you just can't help but wonder how the bejeebers Tyra and the panel picked them up.

In their training, for the trampoline poses, Ebony was just a laugh. Dia ni lama lama tambah seronok lak ada character dia. I mean after her intial b***hy streak, I really wanted her out. And even though she opted for a drastic change that really affected her performance, I'm glad to see that she finally can balance between being fun and yet bringing out the look in her shots.

Saleisha and Chantal were just fluid but Ambreal was the most amazing because of her dance background.

Heather was an absolute klutz but she did try and given her handicap, she still deserves a round of applause. Amazing, compared to Lisa yang malas gila nak try.

The challenge of posing while being held up on the ice led to another round of hate.

Sarah and Jenah played devil's advocate b***hing about the win by Lisa. As for Ambreal, she was frustrated, but she took it better than what those two stupid rednecks were going on about.

Lisa took Janet and Ebony along for her win, which was a photoshoot for an Akademiks spread in Seventeen along with cycle six winner Dani.

The rednecks along with Bianca decided to chip in hating on Lisa, and Saleisha played mediator in telling Lisa, which thankfully she didn't break down at. Credit to Ambreal - when Janet asked for help on her poses, she helped out. Now that's charitable in the face of competition.

On with the challenge, the looking like fashion gargoyles, Ebony was the most amazing in the sense that she delivered. I think she's settling in and I think that the judges were being hard on her commenting on her look going into judging. I mean, they make comments about Jenah, but they don't issue an ultimatum to the damned redneck. Kan?

America's Next Top Redneck Model!!!

The rednecks bond when Lisa complains to panel

Sarah was boring as all hell - and I think those two are just common, despite Jenah being good in shots so far.

Check out the look both of them give to each other when Tyra asks Lisa what's dulling her shine, and she replies it's because some of the girls at getting catty. Tell me you don't to b***hslap them!

Speaking of b***hes, Bianca finally took a good picture, and for her sake, let's hope that she ditched the b***h ass hoe act soon so she can compete.

I have no idea why they decided to ditch Lisa, despite her shot not being the best. Again, I think they're being hard on certain contestants for a reason.
Lisa, Bianca, Ebony, Chantal got called in the top four - with Jenah taking fifth, but despite her picture being good, just getting tired of her redneck ass.

Only Heather was not in the top five among my usual faves in her, Lisa and Chantal, but she did quite well too. Here are what I think are the best shots of the bunch this week.

Bianca

Chantal

Ebony

Heather

Lisa

Somebody please get rid of the rednecks already. Sheesh! Eh, ok lar.. nak sambung layan DVD sat. Be posting tomorrow...

Red is the new black

Today short posting gila, sebab tonight is party time-out for me. Mana taknya... seminggu dua nih kerja bagai nak rak, first with pre-Raya workload, and then masa Raya orang cuti panjang kita lak, sehari dua jer technically off, kena masuk opis tuk pastikan stok cita nak tahan sampai bebudak semua balik complete. Argh...

Stress gila!!!

Time to go totally whacked out!!!

And knowing me, better to unwind before I lose my marbles! Anyway, malam ni memang plan nak club sebab masa bulan puasa walaupun sekali dua jejak club, but it's not the same. I mean kengkawan semua takde (proving that memang setan dirantai - walaupun memang ada yang terlepas), so this is the first post-Raya weekened yang everyone will be hitting the clubs. I bet it's going to be max packed!!!

Apapun, hari ni, dapat ler rehat, off keja awal sikit sebab complete keja awal sikit (malam ni nak enjoy punya pasal, efficient terlebih lak).

Went back early - felt bored counting the hours sebelom nak go out and paint the town red.
So did something I haven't done in a long time. Sapa yang kenal aku, tau lar aku ni gila kaler rambut, kalau perhatikan pic aku kat tepi sidebar pun ada satu yang aku berambut biru.

Actually, done like all the colours in the rainbow in various patterns, and also a variety of cuts... and I actually have not done it for some time now (maintain dark brown natural aku - no one has pure black hair please, so don't laugh - it's scientifically proven).

The only colour in this year plus aku ubah pun was to go for a jet black look.

So went psycho. Memula... I went lighter shade of brown - very early millenium exaggerated natural tone.

Then flipped out cause tak puas hati and went blonde. Called Shah, member yang nak kuar clubbing sekali ngan sayang dia, and asked opinion. Should I go platinum. He said yes.

So I did... still something missing.

So anyway... pikir punya pikir - since I was going out to paint the town red... might as well be dressed up in the right colours.

So red it was. But lightened it to almost look like a deep pink (you guys call it whatever colour you want lah).

Amacam?

Been some time since I freaked out with this red... I kinda like it, so whoever doesn't, tough luck cause it's here to stay at least for a while.

Ok lar... two hours later - I think it's time to go out. Have a good weekend people... and time to PARTY!

P. Ramlee The Musical

Ok, you know how you have a throbbing head (as in a headache, not the other kind of throbbing ye), and you have to go through a whole day of work. Yeap... that's what I had to do today.

Pala da pening , berdenyut - felt like splitting open. Must have popped a dozen Panadols or so, sebab memang ada deadline nak abihkan, two covers and my column. Aduh... still, pushed on and in the end finished.

Ingat nak balik tidur terus - or just hang out nak make up for the torture of the whole day, tapi suddenly Adly came to me, kata Aqidah tak balik dari kampung lagi.

Meaning, someone had to go for P. Ramlee The Musical punya opening night. This cold, icky feeling crept over me.

Like it or not, teamwork ma, so terpaksa lah aku volunteerkan diri nak gi cover.

Don't get me wrong. I love musicals. I love theatre, Tapi after the overrated Puteri Gunung Ledang, which was substandard for me at best, aku cam horror sikit nak gi layan this one.

With a migraine, it's not going to be a pretty sight.

Still, duty calls, so hauled my ass to Istana Budaya. Sampai awal sangat, about 7pm. Muzaffar brought along Panadols to help kill the pain - thanks... tapi perlu ke siap explanation pelbagai ada memacam variety (apparently skang ada for fever and cold variety, plus a half a dozen others). Seb baik tak belikan Panadol Menstrual da.

Tu la akibatnya orang letih pas balik gym katanya (pengsan sat ada ngaku ke gym katanya).

So anyway, at about 7pm, it was werid sebab kalau observe the pic, this was one of the scenes I saw, which is workers still putting final touches on the posters and such around the lobby area.

You'd think all the cosmetics would be sorted out sooner, tapi sedang orang dah mula masuk untuk menyaksikan pertunjukan malam pertama, this was still going on.

A little bit of an omen for me, sebab sepatutnya malam pertama ni la yang meka nak all out to impress. Lagikpun first night ni khas buat media, artists and invited guests, so I assume they would want to put on a good impression instead of showing that things are still kelam, kabut kan.

But then again - I suppose this would only be important if they had tickets to sell, because the next thing I saw was an A4 sized paper yang dilekat pada this huge backdrop there which read SOLD OUT.

Erm... so the hype is there. Sampai sold out sebelom buat satu show pun. All three weeks worth, 18 performances, all sold out. I got another chill - is this another sign it's going to be overrated like Puteri Gunung Ledang? Ever the skeptic kan....

Tunggu kengkawan memasing sampai sorang sorang, and then enjoyed jamuan yang disediakan di tambah keenakkan gosip teman teman yang hadir before we made our way to the grand circle kat tingkat atas after, which were better seats than the floor level yang seat ala hanj gituh. Hate nose bleed seats,. And they do call these nose bleed seats for a reason ok, sebab kami paling atas sekali. Check out the view we go while waiting for the doors to open.

And wait we did. While the show was supposed to go on at 8.30pm, the doors were opened only at 8.45pm!!! Saw Datuk Khalid Jiwa and kids who were sitting not too far from us.

Masuk je, Muzaffar twho sat to me, and I, found that kita kena apit kiri kanan oleh seniman seniwati veteran. Alamak... ni kena sopan lak nih. Damn... that goes my whole evening. At least if I could b***h about the show ok gak.

Here's the bird's eye view we had.

And then the show began...at about 9.15pm. Thank God!!! I was just about pissed with staring at the stupid LED subtitle feed that read, and I swear this is true - P. RAMLEE THE MUZICAL!

Er... ok then. So anyway, enjoy these pics I getched from mstar (sebab tak larat nak function sebagai photographer ketika show). Enjoy the pics before you have to put up with my b***hing.

The four women of P. Ramlee - Azizah (Siti Nurhaliza), Junaidah (Atilia), Norizan (Melissa Saila) and Liza Hanim (Saloma)

Don't cry darling - I know how you feel... it IS a horrible dress.

I can't take this... why the dresses so ugly???

Yes, look at the set - not our dancing - no... that would bore you!

One funky cinema!

So there's a train - why are we pushing the carriages?

Ok... I know you said we couldn't hold hands...

Hiburan Minggu Ini - with a better set

Yes, I can't act - yet I beat Syafie Naswip,m my understudy, to play P. Ramlee!

Erm.. I like this scene actually...

Now I could go on forever, so to make this review, or more like thrash fest more simplified. Let me get this straight. I did not go into Istana Budaya wanting to hate the show. Just somehow I detest the fact that they overhyped it and sold it for more than what it's worth, like Puteri Gunung Ledang.

It's not all poison sebab I did enjoy parts of the show. It could have been better if they trimmed part of it - like the whole first act which was a waste of over an hour.

Not to mention get the subtitler working (and please check the errors sebab some of it is laughable)

Now, let's break it down.

Acting - Apart from Sean Ghazi, and Liza Hanim, no one really caught my eye, or managed to evoke any emotion. Melissa Saila was the best though for the night as watak Norizan ni memang dia bak sampai kami sanggup ni nak overlook the fact that she can't sing to save her life. That woman however, despite that handicap, saved the show along with Sean and Liza. Atilia was ok, and so was Siti (tapi part sikit sangat susah nak judge) as were the Shaw Brothers in Colin Kirton. Chedd was ok as the adult Sukardi, but wish they'd decelop the charater properly.

The others? Mediocre at best.

Yang budak yang mainkan watak P. Ramlee masa kecik, Mikhail Merican was HORRIBLE!!! Felt like b****h slapping the kid. Patutnya bagi je kat understudy dia si Syafie yang lakon Mukhsin.
Sure it would have been better. Lakonan Kihail ni kayu dan cam mangkuk jamban tul... pening tengok.

Didn't like Joseph Gonzales as BS Rajhans too - but the BS part worked in response to his acting at least (gelak lawak sendiri).

For most times, in the first act - I felt like aku tengah nonton pementasan Hari Penyampaian Hadiah.

By the way, erm... Sean kena la jantankan watak dia tuh sikit. pelik sikit aku tengok P. Ramlee lentik ayu sana sini. Butch it up babe!

Singing - Vocals had to go first to Liza Hanim for working her Saloma character well enough despite lack of any real depth to what they had written. Siti too was pleasing, while Sean.. well, what can you say. The man has it down to a pat.
Most horrible was Melissa Saila, but then again, that woman is forgiven based on the sheer magic of wanting us all to be Norizan. Er.... you know what I mean.

Script/Direction - It was all over the place! Skrip cam lahar kekadang. Mana taknya...
First act tuh bazir sejam lebih for what? Underdeveloped on the essentials, and merapu meroyan on the unnecessary.

Not enough on what role Azizah played in P. Ramlee's life, and too much on Junaidah without even delving into her character.

And not only did they make P. Ramlee look erm.. cheap...jumping from woman to woman, they didn't bother to think audiences would enquire the fact that how the hell did he give up his fancy for Junainah so easily. Or how he could have gone to Norizan so easily after the heartbreak he endured masa Junaidah tinggalkan dia... or how the hell Norizan came into the picture.

We know the stories... tapi hello? Your musical has to to find subtle way of relating these to the audience. Nak sensitivity salah tempat tol. Sampai impede the storyline.

The Shaw Brothers were actually a waste of time with too much focus on them, and the whole Singapore independence was also more useless space-taking moments. If the ensemble leh act or sing or even dance ok la gak...

Direction was inconsistent at best - and biasa biasa aja.

Songs - Honestly apart from lagu lagu evergreen NOT ONE of the songs other than that stuck in my head. Almost all of them were so typical Dick Lee, and I actually think he recycled some stuff from the Emperess Dowager play in Singapore as songs here la. Hard to tell... because nothing from him sounds any different....buang masa tul amik composer yang tak paham the whole Malay culture or much needed elements to be true to the period and spirit of P. Ramlee.

Kalau takde Siti ke Liza ke Sean, I would have gone through the play with earplugs shoved against my cochlea.

Choreography - OH MY GOD!!! Where did Pat Ibrahim pick up his moves???

No, no, no...I am not about to puji because one of the most horrible aspects of the show was the stinking choreography. It was like watching Hiburan Minggu Ini, with better sets. Considering the colourful period he had to play with, you would think he would be more creative, but nope....

Bosan nak mampos siot!

Set - OH MY GOD!!! This time, it's a good exclamation. Ok, so I am not about to give it a five star effort but still... this is worlds apart dari Puteri Gunung Ledang yangs et bosan, recycle manjang, and had only one praiseworthy backdrop yang pakai sekali jer.

The whole set-up for the different scenes in the musical deserve a thumbs up, even if the occasional item seemed out of period, or from Ikea's bargain section.

To get more than a few bonus points after the other horrible elements, this time, they used the stage and the working of it really well. For once, selain Chang & Eng, I saw a musical yang bebetul utilise all the amenities that Istana Budaya had to offer.

In fact, dari aspek ni, aku rasa it even beats out Chang & Eng because of the sheer fluidity of the planned moments. The way one set changes into another, the semaless transition.
Memang korang kan tengok la penggunaan hidraulik kat istana Budaya tu.

Cuma geli je team movers meka dalam buku program berangan Transformers katanya.

Wardrobe - Mmmm... this part I don't really have a problem with. Except some area mana nampak sangat kemalasan costume desginers in doing their homework and research of the era.

They seemed to rely on the stereotypical nature of what they knew about the period. Lain kali, buat homework betul betul ler dan kaji the look to make it authentic.
Some of the dresses and adornments, and also footwear memang salah sangat!

Music - Erwin Gutawa and his team of musicians were the only ones I have absolutely nothing to b***h about! Perfect! Well.. as perfect as they could be with the limited crap they had to play.

Technical - Firstly someone do something about the subtitler or whatever you call that LED screen which flashes the subtitles. Horrendous!
Dah lah most of the time it doesn't work. Omputeh belakang aku dok merungut tak paham apa yang berlaku.

Secondly, the sound guys. Were you asleep? The mix was totally funky and for most parts especially in the horrendous first act, we couldn't make out the dialogue or lyrics being sung because everything was boxy and muffled. Argh!!!

Dah la subtitler pun tak fungsi... at times even orang kita pun clueless what was being done or said.

Lighting was another issue. I found it distracting the way they used the follow spot so unsparingly. I know ler nak highlight the main characters in the scene to stand out from the ensemble, but it's just... so.. wrong! Plus it cheapens the whole thing. Subtlety la at least when you hit on that spotlight. And also the lighting people have to talk it over to the directors to know who's the focus of the scene sebab siap ada one part glaringly enough, they focused on Saloma mid way je. Blurred out ke fell asleep. Plus the whole lighting of the night, at most times just didn't complement the rich set-up and made the cheap ass costumes more Factory Outlet meets bundle.

So is it worth a watch?
Not to mention the fact that tickets are sold out, does it even matter anyway kan?

I mean kalao korang da ada tiket, I doubt you can get a refund. And kalau nak gi and takde tiket lak... what you going to do? Sneak in?

Honestly, yes, I hated Puteri Gunung Ledang. There were too few moments were mentioning, but for P. Ramlee The Musical, this is worth a watch (but if you can get tickets - settle for the cheaper ones so you don't feel it's a waste).

The plus points in summary are Sean, Liza, Melissa, perhaps even Atlia, apart from the wonderful efforts of the whole set (who cares about the train or the Cadillac they brought on stage - that's so eye candy, the actual workings of the change of scenes is where it's at!)

Then there's also the good ol' magic of P. Ramlee songs that work.

The negatives are too many, and I don't want to repeat myself...

Is it overrated? To be positive... not as much as Puteri Gunung Ledang was.

So with that done, we came out of the theatre with very mixed emotions.Much discussion over it, though I'm not going to say who said what because I know most people would gush in their blogs about it for the sake of jaga hati orang and be diplomatic (at least I know what you guys really think).

Managed to speak though not at length with Afdlin and Erwin as well as several other people.

Also agreed on a lot of points with friends in the media who came out with mixed emotions about the whole do.

Eh, ni some pics from the after event...malas sebenarnya nak amik, so here's all I have.

Sean and Liza (hidup orang Klang!!!)

Melissa (this woman can act! - drama queen alert!)

Siti dan Farihad Shalla Mahmud of Berita Harian (AMIK KO!!!!) - aku baru colour rambut tak abih agik process so no pics of me

Erwin and his family from Jakarta. Eh..sapa tuh!!!

Heh!!! Gita Gutawa!!! Puteri Erwin! Love her... she is just so cute!!!

Headache like hell, tapi sempat go supper with the guys and girls kat Cheras. Headed back at about almost 4am, and finished my review and emailed before I crashed. Ngantuk... effect of pain killers kicking in....

Overdue

So I know it's long overdue. And I'm like just more than a day or two late, but yes people, it's reviews day (like anyone really cares). First, let's start with the fourth episode of America's Next Top Model which I haven't gotten around to review yet. yes, I know tomorrow or the day after the next episode is out, but better late than never, right.

Yes, it's finally the makeover episode! Boring siot actually sebab takde catfight sangat akibat si Bianca had to go platinum blondem but they decided rambut dia rosak sangat so she had to have to be shaved BALD!

As a result, Bianca had all this emotional drama of coping with being skinned that she didn't have time to throw a tantrum. So we had to deal with the actual content of the show in the makeover, the challenge and the photoshoot for entertainment, which was biasa biasa saja.

Grossest scene was Ebony's makeover sebab weave dia siap dilekat with some crap and all.Eew!!!

Some of the makeovers were quite good and the transformations made the girls look obviously better. Disappointing was Lisa's sebab dia antara fave aku tapi that short poodle look didn't work. Tyra was emanating the same vibes when she said she would like to see Lisa straightened out. That girl really does look like J.Lo.

So, these were my top five favourite looks and best transformations. I included Heather's even though they didn't really do much, but toned it a little and just cleaned it up, I love her all the more! For me however, I have to say I think the best makeovers were Chantal's and Saleisha's.

The challenge this week was a lame Covergirl thing. And the winner in Sarah was biasa biasa aje.

Boring!

The pity vote for the week goes to Chantal sebab dia kena put up with Jay and the photographer, getting different directions masa shoot dia.

In the end, it was Victoria, thank goodness sebab aku memang rasa dia tak kena tul for a model, but since Tyra suka muka kuda sangat. Still, seb baik si Tyra came about and decided to eliminate her ass.

Credit to Victoria though, even though she didn't admit it massively hurt, it was obvious it did, tapi she was pretty gracious admitting that the other girls fairly wanted it more than hers.

No big shakes. Maybe next episode will be better. Here are my top five pictures. Included Chantal's because apart from being a favourite, I think she did ok, though not the best to her abilities.

Didn't include Jenah, because I don't really think she's all that despite being called first twice already.

Apart from America's Next Top Model which is of course overdue, here's my Heroes, episode four review. The Kindness of Strangers was better in a way because thank God we didn't have the carp in this episode.

This week it's all about relationships.

Claire and Noah are figuring things out and lying to each other. Her, about West and him about the predictive painting of Isaac Mendez. And it goes back to square one as they return to the deceitful lives of before.

She meanwhile reevaluates her relationship with West, to try and make sense of things but agrees to him to a final date as she is wooed into the cheerleading team for speaking out to Debbie, the wannabe mean girl.

Noah shadows his daughter on her date with West, but of course his powers comes in handy by flying them off.

They end up tongue wrestling - in front of the Hollywood sign. Yuck! Cheesy!

Arghh!!! They kiss AGAIN at the end of the date. Ok this is getting way too corny! They're cheapening the show to some crappy telenovela meets a bad rehash of Beverly Hills 90210!
Noah and the Haitian plans another trip - and the mystery continues.

Matt and Mohinder and Molly (what a mouthful) are trying to work things out at home with her keep thinking about the boogeyman.

Matt meanwhile at work, is working out his relationship with his powers as Angela Petrelli confesses to the murder of Kaito Nakamura. He comes out (we wish) to Nathan when he talks about what happened. The set is remarkably familiar (just watch Adrian Pasdar's youtube - Grunny Goes Nuts).

Anyway, they come across the pic used by the killer indicating the original twelve elders.
With Bob in on it, and Matt's father!!!! So Bob is not his father as speculated.
What is true however is that Matt's father - IS the boogeyman in Molly's dreams. The cream of the crop when it comes to supervillains - bigger than ever Sylar!

Molly tracks down Matt's father - and passes out as she screams for help in her mind.
Nathan is rekindling his ties with his kids which he left behind. And avoiding any with facial hair as he shaves and tries to get back together with his mother instead. I'm still wondering the significance of Nathan's burnt reflection. Guilt over Peter? Or premonition of something's going to happen.

Maya and Alejandro as well as the stranger they picked up and are on the ride of their lives and develop a relationship with (cue suspenseful soundtrack) Sylar, who they pick up in the middle of nowhere.

POP QUIZ!!!

How the hell did Sylar make it out of the Lost set which we last saw him in the last episode? So much for the sprawling greens and all. Du-uh.

And while we know he has ate Candice's brains or whatever, and supposed to her powers, we also know he can't use them.

So how the hell did the off white grayish shirt, and the matching slacks trade itself for a black tank top and a matching pair of denim jacket and jeans when found? Go figure! Continuity people!!! Every heard of it?

Moving on, stupidly enough, Maya reveals that they need to find Dr Chandra Suresh by showing the Spanish translation of Activating Evolution. Sylar knows he's come across a pot of gold without knowing the power of the twins and says he'll lead them to him as he takes on the names Gabriel Gray. Just like the angel...more like the angel of death.

Anyhow, Derek, the stranger's name, and Sylar come across the Wanted signs. Derek freaks out - wants to go to the police and Sylar whacks the crap out of him and disappears with the twins.
Oooh... another cockroach! Near Derek's body. What IS the significance of that???

Micah meanwhile is adjusting to his new home of Nana (who he's been dumped with probably because they can't handle the Niki character) as well as his new relatives.

Monica, his other relative is working out her future, trying out for a management position in the fast food outlet she's aiming for but surprise surprise she didn't get it. But we see a glimpse of her powers - able to learn things from TV at speed.

Micah gets on his other relatives, yet unnamed, good side by using his powers to get free pay per view wrestling.

Is Micah trying to get fresh with Monica???

Anyway, Micah gets in a little ham, and she uses that wrestling move she saw and slams the shit of this guy trying to jack the shop.

Roadkill!!!

Didn't Jack Nicholson do this already for Batman?

The twelve elders.

Familiar scene?

And if the last pic rings any bells, here's the youtube video from Adrian Pasdar's youtube which was shot during a break, presumably from this scene. Amik ko! Thanks caLista, I remember you were the one yang bagik link from heroesrevealed nya site. Owe you one! If you guys haven't watching this video, please do, especially of course if you're a Heroes fan.
Awesome!

Anyway, since this is a two in one review, esok jer lah ek aku posting lebih.

Oh by the way, pada sapa yang tak perasan, I added something a week or so ago, which is my schedule of assignments, located below the tagboard and msjbox so you guys know where I'm heading and know what you can look forward to me posting.

So don't ask me aku ke sana ke sini lagi pasni. Now you guys know...

Ok...gotta turn in. Tired as all hell...

My head is throbbing after doing work, watching four movies on DVD, two TV shows, and reading three books, all in one day. Unbelievable? That's what boredom and waking up early will do for you. Yech!!!

Night guys... tomorrow gotta be in the office early for work, and then some engagements.
