iPad fashion

Ok.. before the next week starts, ni entry bagi leleh air liur. For those yang either ada iPad, atau memang fashionista je la... sebab pas iPad ni kuar je, almost all the major designers have come out with iPad covers.

Prices in US dollars. Since conversion is about three times korang pepandai la kira berapa harga ek.

Paling aku berkenan, is of course my fave label, Gucci! Between USD$230 to USD$290. I like! Mintak-mintak ada yang akan dapatkan tuk aku. Da kirim pon.

Next up are the Oscar de la Renta ones, which retail I think for about USD$290. Simple and nice but so not my thing.

For USD$390 are... the Louis Vuitton cases....
And the Oscar de la Renta python selections. Nice!!!
For USD$395, you can get a Salvotore Ferragamo in canvas.

For USD$475 (about the same price as an iPad itself) is the Burberry in striking yellow!
At USD$490 are the selections from Tods. Too old for me and somehow, just doesn't ring my bell.

The Dior Homme iPad case comes in black, and silver - for USD$700. Ouch. But I like the design. Go online and look for more pics. Nice on the inside too.

The YSL at USD$795 is nice too. Classic!
But the most expensive iPad case? At a whopping USD$1555, costing three times an iPad itself, it the quilted Chanel case. Gorgeous! But definitely only for fashionistas with money to burn.
So far if you think all of these are ridiculous - away from iPad cases itself, how about a Swarovski encrusted iPad for USD$2250 for about 6000 Swarovski crystals adorning your iPad. Nice - but ouch! A little too bling, so flashy and over the top.

The price apparently is for a 32gb model.

So hoping I'll get my Gucci one. Can't wait. I PROMISE it'll be the last thing I buy (I think I sumpah too many times da tak laku da_

Siti's LV

Sebab teramat rajin (sebenarnya teruja ngan Siti's LV handbag), here's more info for sesapa yang minat (dan mampu) to get the same.

First of all here's the specifications (macam computer ke keta je nak spec spec nih).

The bag Siti has is the Louis Vuitton Monogram Calliope handbag. It's made of brocade silk textile and 34 pieces of different exotic skins which are dyed by hand.

It's decorated with silk and metallic threads infused with bracing pink and crowned by its resin pearl chain. It measures 10.2" x 6.3" x 2.9" (merasalahs siap measurement). The locks and studs are signature decorative and the interior is satin lines.

The price? Websites say prices in Europe say the bag costs ￡7,300 (RM39,254) while American sites claim it about USD$12,880 (RM43,051). It's a limited edition item which was part of LV's Fall Winter collection 2009-2010.

Siti had a celebratory event semalam, which coincided also with the launching of her duet album with Krisdayanti - CTKD or Canda, Tangis, Ketawa, Duka.

Christian Loubotin

I have been feeling so lazy, that I stayed at home today, the whole day melayan jer movies.
I will mention them in order of what I thought of them. First the movies that were the equivalent of the political scenario of our country. Utter crap, that is.

Do NOT watch the ultra stupid Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay or the super boring Semi Pro.If I had actually bought tickets to watch those two movies, I would have burnt down the cinema in question and embarked on a manhunt for all those involved in making such a lousy excuse for entertainment.

Then there were the movies that I watched for nostalgia's sake. Wayne's World and Wayne's World 2. Ok, so for those yang pernah tengok, I know the humor is a little dated... but what can I say?! That was my college period. It was cool.

And then there were the interesting movies like YPF (Young People F***ing) which is not dirty as it sounds as it highlights relationship issues and 21, which was... ok I guess, though I think the previews made it look better.

Then the kid in me made me watch Happy Feet and Kungfu Panda, both of which I am sure that I am the last person on earth to actually catch these two great animation fare.

Tapi yang pentingnya... I have watched... SEX AND THE CITY!

I admit ... even though I watch the series, I don't do it religiously. So I know the basic plot, the storyline more or less thus far, and also the characters, but screw the story... I wanted to see the fashion in it - which is the very same reason I'm sure that a lot of people bothered to watch this movie for in the first place.

And it was MIND BLOWING! Ok, so the relationship problems and stuff are pretty run of the mill - as is the ending. But everyone loves a good chick flick once a while.

And it was pretty good!

The fashions? WOW! Let's see. I can recognise some outfits to be Ralph Lauren, Burberry and Vivienne Westwood for sure. Bags are a mix of Chanel, Ferragamo, Alexander McQueen, Fendi and of course that instrumental Louis Vuitton which was highlighted.

Shoes had Manolo Blahnik, Dior, Moschino, Marc Jacobs among others.

But I spotted something familiar! And probably since I was on the lookout for it, since Boo da bagitau to keep an eye out.

That's what I found on a style guide. Yeap. So the shoes which are the subject of my observation are the Christian Louboutin slingbacks. If you read my blog sometime end of March, you would think they're familiar too because I published these then.

Remember kasut sapa tak yang I photographed?. I was so fascinated by them when I first saw them that I had to take a picture of the shoes then. Yeap, even at that point aku tak penah dengar Christian Louboutin, I thought the trademark red soles were so amazing!

Of course the one the character of Charlotte wears is slightly different material as it's more of a silver snakeskin version while the top one is the silver glitter version. Tak kisah la. Janji it's a slingback, peep toe Christian Louboutin katanya...

So kasut sapa ni?

Selamat pengantin baru Erra and Emran

Firstly. let's kick off this lengthy entry with Stardust. Short review jer. WATCH IT!

Kalau korang suka filem yang fantasy yang berunsurkan fantasy like The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (Or Kisah Narnia - Sang Singa, Ahli Sihir dan Gobok - matilah translation!), you'll love this.

Malas nak review lelebih. It's jenis movie yang not very MTV-esque like most movies now, but still it's quite a traditional popcorn movie. Would I pay to watch it? Hell yeah!

Anyway, the premiere aku gi malam semalam was a tie-in event with Jimmy Choo where a specially designed shoe was also previewed. Supposedly ada 200 pasang jer yang available worldwide. There was no price tag on it, but I didn't dare ask takut pengsan.

Here's the shoe, and here's fashionista Sasha Basir taking a pic of it too for her blog. Over tau baju... you could take someone's eye out with that top.

Anyway... moving on malam tadik... akad nikah Erra Fazira dan Engku Emran. Aw...isn't it sweet. Don't marriages just make you wanna cry?

Especially when it's hot, stuffy, sweaty, and you're surrounded by hundreds of loud, jostling, sweating types who drech themselves in cheap deodorant or whatever fragrances they splash on. Dare we mention their underage spawns who wail at every opportunity, or the elder ones who run about getting tangled up in your feet while you rush about?

Yeap. Weddings make me cry. And tadi kat wedding Erra pun aku memang nak nangis for all those reasons katanya.

Still, it was a nice and simple akad nikah, if you ignore the 500 other guests. Seriously... a 'small' affair? Such an abused term these days.

Apapun, sebenarnya letih gila pas semalam rushing about. As usual lack of sleep, pastu bangun jer da kena up and about.

In the office, column, then out again for the wedding, almost getting lost on the way, tapi managed to brave the unknown gituh nak meredah hutan belantara. Nama je kat Taman Tun Dr Ismail lokasi akad nikah tuh. I would prefer to say it's meredah hutan belantara ke Sundai Penchala dah.

Sampai je, da pening da. The number of cars told me how simple the affair was going to be.
Erm...seb baik aku turn in jer ada one spot, terus leh parking masuk.

At about 9pm, they were married when Emran dengan sekali lafaz je menjadi Erra isterinya. Selepas sembahyang sunat, they had the upacara menyarungkan cincin.

Time makan, aku dok tepi isap rokok. Sempat ler merasa satay tuh yang ok ok, tapi cam tension abih sebab too packed, not enough places to seat. In fact we had to play musical chairs nak dok bergilir, well, sapa yang nak makan that is.

So chomped down on ciggys jer la.

Pas dinner, meka ada acara potong kek pulut kuning and a fireworks display. Matilah... tempted nak carut tapi biar aku kunci mulut for once for this joyous occasion. Then it was a press conference.

You know... it's kind of amazing. Time headline event camni kan, tetiba ramai 'wartawan' yang freelance yang muncul. Time Siti kahwin pun camni. Kalau event biasa biasa, aiyo...haram! Kalau sedozen muncul pun da kira meriah. So where do all these people come from????

Memacam...

Nak interview dah la organise kelam kabut sikit, sound system dum dam sana sini, pastuh ngan entah sapa sibuk nak posing diri dalam bilik tuh, dah ler berpuluh yang PC sekali. Geram tak tahan, menjerit aku tiba tiba... DIAM!!!!

Ngan muka tak bersalah, pandang pasangan pengantin, "...as you were saying". Leh? Memang muka Tembok Besar China la kiranya aku ni, but what to do. Dari diamkan diri, haram nak dengar apa pun in those conditions and screw up my story for the paper, lagik rela aku memalukan diri.

It was ok after that...for about 30 seconds. Then start balik sound effect kambing penyibuk mengembek in the background.

HOI!!!!!!!

Senyap balik... for a minute then it started again.

Tak paham orang nak wat press conference tak reti nak adjust kan. Tak reti lagik bangsa tak reti nak diam kalao nak masuk menyibuk sekali.

Arghhh!! Geram!

Still, I don't know why, it was nice to see Erra and Emran together. I think they make a cute couple. They seem to feed off each other's energy and all in all, I really do wish them all the best and hope they can build a beautiful family together.

Wasn't the best of weddings I've been to in terms of organisation, but seeing the two of them in white, was touching enough to make me forget all that had happened. Sentimental kan aku ni... ke mental jerk kot.

Finished, back to the office, finished there, lepak kat KL minum minum before Boo, Moszack and I ke Shah Alam menyibuk kaco Anas yang tengah blind date. Merasalah zaman skang bebudak nak date tengok Otai (merasalah aku tergolek gelak on my own as I type this)

Slept late... pala berat tapi badan sakit. Erm... Esok tengok Black Eyed Peas so need to rest.
