It's a boy!

Here comes the bride...
Eh.. cup! Nak clear benda sikit. Arituh gi makan dengan someone. Biasanya nak gi makan nih, sebab kengkawan semua beragama Islam, memang biasakan makan tempat yang sesuai. Tapi biasalah.. belah malam nak cari makanan sedap... tomyam je la jawabnya. Kalao tak, kena mamak.
So ajak la orang tertentu tuh gi makan at this halal Chinese food place. Kalao korang nak try, it's in Brickfields. Seberang jalan dari balai polis je (sebelom KFC kalao heading towards KL). Nama tempat tuh Merdeka I think.
Here's what we had.
Tofu with oyster sauce
Kangkung belacan
Fishball soup
Sweet and sour chicken
All in, it was about RM50 for two persons inclusive of drinks. Ok gak harga dia. Korang gi try. Seriously when it comes to halal Chinese food, this place has the most authentic taste I know in town.
Heh.. saja nak share that sebab asik tak sempat update bab tuh. Very short take je.
Sambung cita.. where was I.
Owh.. yeah. Nak gi PJ. For Audi and Nikki's wedding. Atas jemputan Audi (which I would have gone anyway - but due to him insisting.. katanya... heh!) I wouldn't miss their wedding for the world. I mean, Audi is a friend, and a damn straight up no nonsense (ok forget I said that.. banyak la nonsense dia) and Nikki is my baby sister.
Sapa baca blog aku dari berkurun lama dulu would know. I first made friends with Nikki bila dia jejak KL tuk shortlisted 100 plus hopefuls for Malaysian Idol. Pastu aku bersama ngan dia sampai la the whole thing was over, dan carikkan label yang leh jaga dia. And the rest is history.. panjang kalao nak cita.
But to shorten a story... yes I love her as my baby sister, and I think Audi is the best man for her. So when I arrived kat gereja St. Francis Xavier, the ceremony had started so I decided to stay at the back.
At the end of it, Jac and Vince gave a damn awesome performance. Or so Vanessa and I thought. Mengumpat la kita kan.. merasalah dalam gereja pon nak mengumpat. Heh!
Can I get an Amen?!
Maya and Steven
Jac had her Mia Farrow look going on!
Abang Bad and Diddy pon ada
Celeb ke? Ala ala la.. si Hakim dan Lin
Vince and Vanessa
Ramai sangat kengkawan datang, courtesy of the people Audi had worked with. Even Ning was there with Chris, tapi tak sempat snappy cause they had to rush off.
When it was over, malas linger about. So went and did some errands. Aduh.. pastu rush lak ke Kota Damansara for Ad Samad and Dang Suria's pernikahan and sanding. Nanti je aku post those pics up.

3K
Tak dapat? Ke dapat? Ni jawapannya.
Ok la... the dude is none other than Audi Mok dan yang wanita anggun tuh, si Faz la sapa lagik.
What is she doing? Dah mula nyanyi ke?
Taklah...mana ada. Heh.. saja je gempak. Ni actually recording some vocal parts for a new song by Farah Asyikin yang akan feature dalam filem Pisau Cukur which is I'm sure going to have a banging soundtrack - since it comes from the same people responsible for Kami.
Heh...ingat Faz recording lagu sendiri? Tunggu sikit lagik ek. Soon...
Eh... aku serious tired. Besok petang ada interview ngan TV9 for a new program. Ciao dulu.

Of crabs, frogs and projectile vomitting
But, went out in the evening to get some stuff done.
Namely some shopping. I've been dying to get myself this new toy, an external hard disk drive. Yerlah...laptop aku, my beloved... banyak benda kena burn to CD/VCD/DVD pun still running out of space.
All my fave TV programs hogging the limited memory.
Ko bayangkan, aku desperate sebab arituh nak save torrent pun leh tak cukup memory! Nak nangis! Few hundred MB pun tak muat!
So anyway - first destination, to Sungei Wang Plaza. Got something I've been eyeing for my sister. Can't say what it is but me likey! First of a few Christmas prezzies for her (since she is my only sibling I love to try and pamper her).
Sped over to Low Yat Plaza, the heaven that computer geeks and pimply nerds go to when they shut down (matilah aku)
Got a Western Digital 160GB (YES!!!) HDD, 5400RPM for RM240, inclusive of an Areson anti-electrostatic 2.5" external storage enclosure casing (what the....???!!! How did I now that???!!! - GEEK!!!).
Or in other words, to the uninitiated, a glorified palm sized, thumb drive with more memory space for non-geeks.
Spent quite a bit of time getting to know my inner geek.
Checked out a couple more things I thought of getting.
They've got these latest cooling pads (for laptops, people!!! Get your mind outta that crotch!) which are foldable, these new cool headphones and mic which I felt tempted to get for myself to do more chatting with Leo in Jakarta online (though phone rates to Jakarta are cheaper now - still since he spends more time online now it's worth it I suppose) as well as this cool new USB TV receiver that's on promo price of RM199.
Thought it was worth it but remember Ted saying he got his cheaper, so need to check out the specs on his to find out if it's worth it.
Still - don't understand why I need TV receiver for my laptop.
My rationale speaks for the fact it would help my job since I'm mobile, technology when it comes to the boob tube should be that way too. Since I'm not updating my phone to one of those new fangled phones with TV (screen's bloody small, why bother?) my laptop would obviously be the next option for that upgrade.
Damn... thought awhile. Went around a couple more shops. Decided not to blow it all on geekland, so headed back to Sungai Wang.
Ran about some more - contemplated new piercings to pamper myself (pampering through pain - you should try it, very therapeutic!), or even new piercing accesories but passed. Bought a tux shirt (for no other reason because it looked good?) and a t shirt and decided to call it a day because da past 8 malam. Besides, had already a small load to carry.
Went over to Fuse studio sebab Audi kata in midst of recording time nak ajak dia makan skali. Vern baru abih show so wantd to join, so waited for him there as he 'rushed' from The Curve (which fitted the description of his abilities sebab it took him just under an hour or so) before he finally arrived.
Mila rupanya! Kecian... time Raya pun kena keja.
There goes my Famous Amos... all in the name of good music.
Like geeks (just like them - never said we belong to the population) both Audi, and lyricist Ad Samad who popped in, ooh-ed and aah-ed at my new acquisitions as I paraded them knowing full well they would appreciate it more than anyone else.
Audi complained about the cheap looking casing on his HDD as I watched him glower with envy as he shifted his gaze from my 160GB to his 80GB.
Er... that just sounds SO wrong!
Then once he finished recording Mila, we bolted for dinner in PJ.
Ooo.. check it out! Live crabs - of the non STD variety!!!
FROGS???!!!
Ok, Kermit won't be dining here.. as well as that pink character from Sesame Street.
Here's looking at you kid! Or I'm ready for my close up Mr De Mille (insert wittier caption here)
This bunch of guys who were loudly talking.
Now usually that irritates me, especially people who do so at a coffeeshop as a result of too much drinking.
Now - spotting this mix of Heineken, Guiness and Ballantine on the table, and you know something's about to happen. You do know what happens when you mix your drinks (I wouldn't know from experience.. er.. just something I heard...yes, that's it!)
So the guy in the white collar started hacking (as in coughing you nerds, not the PC related type) and I knew it was coming. He started spitting, which got me and Audi and Vern a little turned off.
Ptooi ke kiri!! Ptooi ke kanan... and as the next pic suggests, siap ludah ke bawah.
And we knew right what was going to happen?
Spits to the left... Audi is not amused and grossed out.
Ptoiiii kahak kaler rainbow ke bawah... Audi is starting to get fascinated by the lack of bodily functions control displayed.
Projectile vomitting! COOL!
Caught in action!
BLUUERRRRGHHHHHHHHHHWEEEEKKK!!!!!
Ah, some things so predictable. We were disgusted like hell.. sib baik kita da lama abih makan and we were sitting not too near (though Audi insisted he was lucky he moved from the moment the spitting started.. especially since he was wearing shorts and didn't want to be splattered with puke)
Dia siap masa nak amik pic the result of the erm... chucking, selamba depan bebudak meja tuh snap a pic of it.
Aiyo... berani mati.
Yang aku nak gelak, member lain kat meja dia leh sambung makan like nothing happened!
Er... after the guy puked, a restaurant worker put papers down, and he puked on them.
Then drunk, he and a friend stepped all over them, as the puker was helped into the car to lie down. Yeap.. you read right. In the end after ten minutes I think endlessly of throwing up berkali kali, they moved him to the car.
Big mistake.
As we got up to leave - the familiar sounds were heard... this time inside the car.
I'll leave it to your imagination.
And Audi?
Statement of the night.
"Judging by the evidence, he had fish... and rice... though he doesn't chew because the grains are whole."
Wow! So CSI meh?
Well, you know what the lesson is right?
"Yeap... he needs more vegetation... could see he doesn't take his greens."
That the observations of a twisted mind of a genius for you.
Taking a quick nap cause haven't slept from last night, and continuing shopping spree in the afternoon after I stop by the office.
PS - Vernon was so embarassed that I would tell of this in my blog, since I found it amusing - that he said to make sure "you don't say I was here at a place of such low standards" or something to that effect.
So erm.. listen here. Vern told me not to tell you he was there ok? Cool!

Colour codes, dollhouses and weird festive nostalgia
My parents had left earlier from our home there sebab we were to have lunch together memandangkan kakak aku punya 4WD kena smack from the back. Strangely enough, you'd think bak keta besar gedabak camtuh selamat, and then POW! you get smacked behind by another 4WD.
Heh...that's almost a metaphor for life.
So after lunch, hung about and raided my sister's 'library' and pulled out more books to read to pass time nak tunggu kawan dia kuar sekali nak go out shopping.
Ransacked, and found four books to add to my reading list. Remember I was reading this chick-lit (more like bimbo lit) book called Undead and Unpopular by Mary Janice Davidson?
Amik ko... like the 'shopaholic' books which I love so much (it's so me!), here's the remaining titles in the series, Undead and Unemplyed, Undead and Unappreciated, Undead and Unreturnable and Undead and Unpopular.
Not exactly brain surgery manuals, but me likey!
Read halfway through one, when fell asleep in my room sebab masa tuh memang ujan cam kiamat gituh in Bangsar. My sister woke me up to tell me her friend dah sampai, and we went traipsing about for lots of shopping. Start kul 2pm, kawan dia buggered off for an appointment at about 5-ish, and we continued on another round before ending at about 9pm. Psycho....
The shop kat atas in that pic must be the most colourful I've seen in a very long time! Apapun, da pusing sana sini, at last we head home. Managed to check our acquisitions for the day (three pairs of jeans - one Levis and a denim jacket, Nautica), before aku ciao dari sana to join Vern, Audi and Nikki who were heading to Aidit Alfian's place in Ampang nak beraya. We were joined by Vern's friend, Andrew.
The food was delicious, though I have to admit I hogged my favourite which was the rendang. Aidit and his wife Zaza were the perfect hosts as we gorged ourselves.
As usual when two producers get together, Audi and Aidit had their little moments of disappearing in their own world lah.
Which was fine by us. Erm, Aidit's pic is a little blurred because he was practically bouncing off the walls. Heh! Anyway, their house was fab, very the early 80s architecture, reminded me of my old family house I grew up in.
Anyhoo, we polised off most of the food, I even had seconds! Notice the dishs on the table look quite empty by the time were were done with it.
Being a glutton, I had to punish myself my already swollen tummy with pineapple tarts lagik. Aduh...time for a smoke. Tapi yang best thing about open house Aidit ni, kat luar where the 'menfolk' were gathered, siap ada jamming session. Throw in three guitars, two producers and one singer (Andy dari Flop Poppy pun ada masa kita sampai) and what do you get?
Impromptu jamming session lah. But anyway, I would have taken a video of them performing but stupidly for once didn't haul my laptop along. Didn't bother with doing it with my phone for the dodgy quality.
But there was one song Aidit and Andy did together which was awesome. First time I'd heard it, though my ex loves him. The guy's name is Damien Rice, and the song I heard and immediately fell in love with is called Cannonball. Kalao korang nak layan, take a listen at the youtube bit I found of his quite strange video.
Cool song abih! And the lyrics memang moving gila. Trauma queen punya choice of songs la. Anyway, bumped the ciggy, and went back in the house, and there was Nikki, playing with anak Aidit dan Zaza punya dollhouse.
Yes, the girl still loves dolls, which I didn't find anything wrong with, unlike her manager yang dok teasing dia.
I know I'm in my second childhood because I'm buying toys too like my old MASK action figures from the 80s and all, but that's because our parents couldn't give us everything we wanted as kids, and now that we earn our own living, it's not too late to relive memories we wanted to have as part of our childhood kan?
Heh...merasalah profound. NOT!
Anyhoo, headed back after we spent a couple of hours there. Headed home, aku stayed up a while to read, but because itw as raining, and it was nice and cold, and I've finished updating, think I'll turn in for the night.
Apapun, before I end this entry, wanted to share these pics I took masa on the Federal Highway heading back to the Bangsar home. I think it was taken malam Raya (my time line is so warped)
There was this car, a classic Mini (a Clubman?) in front of me on the Federal Highway. Aku siap terkejut tengok.. because it was seriously decked out to celebrate Hari Raya! Not only was the car green and yellow (which would already be a major no no), there were lights (I think ada lampu lip lap skali kat dalam keta dia!)
But to make matters weirder... there were LIGHTED KETUPATS hanging in the read, and front windscreen!!!! Yes... plastic, hanging ketupats... lighted!
Aku siap amik all angles, kejau ni nak amik pic.
Luckily he took the Bangsar exit as well, so I got these pics. Heh...sorry pada tuan punya keta, but at least a few more people have gotten to enjoy the erm..'beauty' of your festive decor.
Do you see what I saw??? Erm... apapun, kalau mamat nih punya keta camni, his house is one place I don't want to beraya without sunglasses!
Eh ok la...nak tido..night...

Aidilfitri!!
We went in one car, and spent hours (ok, so maybe just over an hour - I'm exagerrating, but Rudy said it would take only 15 minutes!) to get there. I swear, you feel like dah sampai Bukit Kayu Hitam siot!
Stared out of the window and saw views like this. Are we even in the same state???
Ampun yer sesapa dok kat Semenyih! Heh... Audi kept the useless trivia going by telling us that Semenyih was enjoying a growth rate of 22% (or something, I wasn't willfully listening), how it's population has grown to 450,000 and how a RM1.5 controversial incinerator project was being built. More torture for the already taxing journey.
We passed no less than four cemeteries (three Muslim, one Christian), no less than four mosques, two suraus, two temples, and lots of hypermarkets, malls and supermarkets (Tesco, Giant, Econsave and Jusco - just missing a Carrefour to complete the list), which led me to assume people in Semenyih are deeply religious, shop a lot (my kind of folks) and then drop dead in huge numbers (er...not meant to be offensive...ampun!!!)
Lots of directions, numerous phone calls and several u-turns later, we reach Rudy's place.
Ok, wrong house again. This one was across the road from Rudy's place, yang ala set cita hantu lak. Creepy!!!
Anyway, we had our fill, couple of laughs (thanks to Omar - when him and Ning joined up as we were halfway stuffing ourselves). Thanks so much Rudy for.. erm.. a very memorable meal (merasalah kuih simen!)
Apapun, memang meriah la kat rumah dia, rindu lak nak balik kampung ke rumah kuarga angkat camnih. Hish... aduh....
Ni one for the album of Rudy dan family together with Ning and Chris.
The rest of us were doing the following activities - Vern taking the pic, me taking a pic of Vern taking the pic, while Nikki and Audi were gawking at the jambu air growing right in front of his house (weirdos!) We then made our way back to civilsation.
It crapped out n us midway, pouring cats and dogs. Check this out.
Yes, isn't that a lovely seafood restaurant? Unique Fisherman katanya. No, this isn't a seaside eatery. Notice the car? This was located along Jalan Cheras, which was freaking flooded!!!
Cruelly laughed at rempits in baju Raya weaving in and out of traffic and getting wet (hate rempits) as we made our way at a snail's pace nak ke rumah Ning lak nak beraya ngan her mom, Auntie Stella.
Finally got there, eons later where we had lovely vegetarian Raya fare. It was very different.
Spent quite some time playing with Teddy, si Ning punya pet cat, which bears a striking resembilance to Garfield (if it fell into a vat of orange paint). Teddy's favourite hobby? Jumping into paper bags and curling up in them? Erm... tapi siap pilih ok. Nak yang kelas je.... Zara! Leh?
Headed home past 8, tak tahan, tapi fiddled a bit online before crashing. Ngantuk siot. Beberapa hari ni, bagus tol. Tidur awal jerk. Heh... cam tak caya pun ada.
Esok takde planning sangat. Nak ke rumah kakak bersama with my parents nak lunch kat sana, pastuh mungkin merambu ramba gituh, gi jenjalan area KL.,
Bukan tanak visit rumah orang, tapi tengok angin. Kalau ujan cam semalam, prefer to be curled up in my room, all comfy, layan online. Heh...ok ler. Until the next entry.
Again, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all. Huggies!!!
