Backdating

Aku janji nak update blog lama sangat dah. But somehow... ada saja keja nak wat. Finally got round to kickstarting the updating that I've promised.

But I guess I have to really backtrack. So you guys know I was part of the production and faculty of Akademi Fantasia 9. Memang time tu, aku banyak job masuk skali so tidur pon tak penah cukup, and seriously, it's been that way all the way to last month.

Ni bulan Oktober pon banyak aku kena wat, so I'm trying to cultivate the habit of updating my blog as often as I can.

It won't be like before obviously, daily... like for the past couple of years. But takdela sampai blog jadi kategori alam barzakh katanya bersawang bagai.

So let me start the trip back to what I've been up to for the last nine months that I've been too lazy to update my blog.

Beginning from Akademi Fantasia... tapi korang pon da tau what happened (and what you don't know obviously I can't blog about). But no matter what, the good, the bad or even the ugly, Akademi Fantasia has been an integral part of my career, so being part of the last year IS something special.

Selalu carut, lagi sekali, buat kali kedua peluang, I get to try and change things from the inside rather than just bitch about it. Of course this is easier said than done as a production is always a team effort - so I did what I could and that was it. Skang layan the photos... these are in chronological order.

Siapa yang follow Twitter aku would have noticed most of these pictures which are mainly from behind the scenes. Have fun.... I know I did going down memory lane with all these pics.

Kalau korang minat any of these pics, aku izinkan korang pakai in any way, BUT jangan sesekali tambah watermark sendiri dan sila kredit source which is my blog, ok? Now enjoy... it took me ages to upload all these pics. Line damn slow... cam sial... tapi demi nak rajinkan diri, aku usaha gak!

Add it up!

So I promised to update my blog. Before aku leh wat tuh, I had to do a little spring cleaning for my other online accounts yang da lama sudahpun dibiar begitu saja.

About time...

We're past the halfway point of 2011, and I just realized that I've only had a handful of posts for this year.

Memang blog aku da bersawang, and tahap blog alam barzakh dah nih.

And I know I've been promising you guys to update my blog for the longest time, tapi tetap nan hado.

So you know what?

It's time for a comeback.

2011 has been good to me as creatively, I've been returning to my roots. Apart from journalism as a day job, I've been more involved in TV productions, and also now back to music - my first love. This apart from my consultancy services for conceptual events.

So this time, it's for real. I'm back. Get ready for a flood of entries. Well, not really a flood sebab my time is still quite limited with so many events and projects, but I will update more often than I have been.

So hold on. I promise. I'm back. With a vengeance.

Sediakan payung...

I bought a new toy hari ni. Sekali tengok, gempak gila. Sampai aku usung ke sana ke mari pas beli tu, orang semua pandang semacam je ngan benda ni tergantung belakang aku.

Motif pedang samurai? Matilah aku kena cekup jap agik membawa alat senjata di khalayak ramai. Konsep cam feeling nak amuk je kan.

Yang sebenarnya?

Merasalah ko! Kelas tak payung aku? Payung pon leh ganas ok! Kalao aku sebelom ni sanggup basah kuyup sebab malas nak usung payung merata, this time aku da rajin bak sebab stylo, sial bak benda ni.

Heh... me likey! Sesuai la musim skang yang panas terik, tapi tiba-tiba ujan tak hengat lebatnya tak pasal-pasal.

Anyway, smalam aku awal pagi da gerak ke AEON AU2 Setiawangsa. Ada kelas.

Motif kelas kat mall? Pada sapa yang ikut Twitter aku, at least sejak beberapa bulan lalu, mesti tau aku terlibat dengan Akademi Fantasia 9.

So siang smalam, kelas komunikasi media aku dengan para pelajar. Heh... kenapa aku takde tersenarai dalam fakulti? Kira aku ni guru bantuan je, leh?

Tapi konsep rancangan aku terlibat dari peringkat awal, so yes, this is one of my projects for this year.

Ni pic sebelom kelas aku. Aku dok melepak tingkat atas rumah kaca (pada siapa yang minat Nikki dulu, mesti ingat konsep ni ketika pelancaran album dia yang aku wat dulu). Sempat snap pic pengetua, abang Amy, layan diskusi dengan bebudak pasal performances dan sebagainya.

After sesi abang Amy, aku masuk la tuk sesi aku. Tak sempat snap pics apa, but ni pic of tamu ku tuk hari ni, iaitu - the one and only, Yuna.

Memang best dapat curi masa Yuna yang teramat sibuk, baru balik dari US, dan awal bulan depan nak fly balik sana. Thanks, baby girl! Seronok la bebudak dapat layan Yuna perform tuk meka khas, lagu Dan Sebenarnya, Deeper Conversation dan Cinta Sempurna, live and acoustic sambil main gitar je.

Dapat dia berkongsi about how important PR skills are, as part of my introduction to the syllabus for musim ni. Oh by the way, musim ni bukan kali pertama ku bertugas as a media consultant for the show, dulu musim ketujuh pon penah aku terlibat.

Anyway, baru leh tunjuk pic ni.

Again, sapa ikut tweet ku mesti da tau, aku terlibat juga dalam sesi ujibakat di Kuala Lumpur. Bersama Syafie dan Adlin, aku bertugas tuk pemilihan peringkat ketiga audition. Ni pic kenangan bersama the production team.

Ni lak pic in action. Heh... rambut serabai! Ringan pala bila da potong pendek.

By the way, sebab lama tak update blog, didn't get to update a lot of things that have happened over the past three months. But this is one of the most important events yang took place.

Yeap... I went to Singapore for the Janet Jackson concert dia wat, and terima kasih pada kengkawan organiser, I got to meet Janet. Sebab backstage takleh amik pic, ni je sempat aku cilok dari official website Janet.

Best gila dipeluk one of my favourite artists and dapat cakap ngan dia - even about Michael. Sad... but it was a moment aku akan ingat selamanya.

Anyway, lega smalam dapat langsungkan first class without any problems, tapi Sabtu ni berdebar gak aku sebab konsert minggu pertama. I hope these kids prove they're as capable as I believe in them.

Ahad lak gi Bruno Mars. Yeay!

Melancung

I been working my ass off, and am tired. Tapi semalam, got some good news.

Dalam beberapa minggu ni memang sudah pun plan nak ke Jakarta, tapi suddenly dapat berita akan gi ke Macau dalam dua minggu lagi. Seronok...seronok... akan ikut Erra Fazira ke sana selama tiga hari. Dapat gak jalan. Tu la kelebihan keja ni...dalam keja pon leh enjoy sikit-sikit.

Nak enjoy banyak-banyak takleh lak... sebab takde masa. But it's definitely gonna be great to get away. Heh... kalau semua payments due masuk in time, puas tu aku shopping puas-puas nanti kat sana.

Smalam had a nice chat with abang Amy masa sidang akhbar untuk Konsert Lagenda Double Trouble. Kira ni last call da for the tour. Tarikh konsert skang 27 Mei jam 9 malam di Stadium Hang Jebat di Melaka.

Awie takde, so tak riuh as how kalao dia ada. Kalao layan lawak dia, best.

Anyway, jap nak kongsi sat. Konsert ni kira coincide dengan Tourism Melaka, and this is what they came up with. Check out how they promo the event.

Ye, aku pada the tagline for the promo of the concert. Berhibur, Melancung Sambil Beramal. Seriously? MELANCUNG? Aiyo... siapa lah yang wat promo ni. Zaman pra-Merdeka ke?

I'm back!

Tak pergi mana pun. Sebenarnya, the past few months, ada saja benda aku nak blog. But if you guys followed me on Twitter, you would have realized aku sekarang lebih senang nak micro-blogging, which is to update Twitter, meroyan kat sana.

Mana taknya, dengan sentiasa kesuntukan masa kerana kesibukan yang amat, memang aku malas nak bukak blog, godek sana sini, nak transfer, watermark, upload pics and such.

Cara paling senang - tweet.

So I do hope you guys follow me on Twitter sebab tu memang paling updated on the spot. On top of that, lebih mesra sebab sentiasa connected ke mana saja.

Tapi blog tetap legacy takleh main tinggalkan. Especially since the last few years aku gigih berblogging memastikan ada je entry baru.

Memandangkan inilah official entry pertama for 2011, walaupun sudahpun minggu pertama April, I just want to begin again, with a fresh new start.

Layout blog pun dah berubah seperti aku janjikan sebelum ni. More simple, cleaner, less cluttered. Takde lagi rambu ramba bagai nak menyemakkan blog. Nak load pun tambah senang. So I hope you guys like it. And yes, tengok top right hand tu - memang ada link to my Twitter. Update tak real time unless you guys reload the page - tapi sekadar tunjuk when was the last update on Twitter in the time korang log on to my blog.

Memang pasni aku janji pada diri sendiri kena kuat sikit update kat sini, walaupun mungkin tidak setiap hari seperti dulu. Tapi tak adalah nak tunggu empat bulan sebelum aku merajinkan diri lagi. Matilah camtu.

Jangan tanya aku harga sebab aku tak berkenan nak beli. Tapi kagum gak ngan cara meka think up of this, so this is definitely worth it as a comeback entry. Merasalah!
